The Revenge of The Thin Blue Line 31: Covid didn't kill those Cops Conservative Propaganda did

For the 3rd straight year, Covid is the prime killer of Police Officers in the United States.  I know Coppers everywhere want to claim that they are facing here-to-fore unprecedented dangers on the job but, the truth is Police Officers are so incurious, so reactionary, so petulant that they would rather die of a illness which a few small steps could prevent just to Own the Libs all while slavishly adhering to the Propaganda Campaign of Faux News and the rightwing internet;

A new report released Wednesday by the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund looked at preliminary data and found that 226 federal, state, tribal and local law enforcement officers died last year while in the line of duty. Of those deaths, 70 can be attributed to COVID-19. However, this is an 83% decline compared to the 405 officers who died from COVID-19-related complications in 2021.

281 Officers died of COVID-19 complications in 2020.  Meanwhile, Officers continue to fantasize about Fentanyl poisoning and delude themselves that BLM Thugs are around every corner waiting to murder them.  In reality, suicide and heart disease are the biggest killers of Police Officers and white men in America.

Conservatives don't actually care about Law Enforcement.  Blue Lives Matter has always been naught but, a rhetorical cudgel to Bash the Left.  When it comes to a macro respect for Law & Justice conservatives have shown time and time again that they believe the Law exists to afflict, constrain and punish women, LGBTQ, minorities, Democrats, and anyone who doesn't know their place and role in their White Supremacist Society. 

Understand the Right (in America and elsewhere) is now fully invested and in full agitprop attack mode that the Covid Vaccine causes myocarditis, blood clots, and is killing thousands of people daily because they can not admit they were wrong about Covid, they were wrong about mitigation factors like masking and social distancing, and they are wrong about the efficacy and protective nature of the Vaccination protocol.  Too admit any of that would be to admit the entire edifice of their political and personal belief systems are rotten and untenable. 

The Died Suddenly Twitter account, which boasts an authoritative blue check mark it received after paying $8 a month, memorializes a long list of people who, we are led to believe, died of the vaccine, including the voice of Batman, Kevin Conroy, who very recently passed away from intestinal cancer. Except that scrolling through these names, it becomes apparent the list includes anyone who died suddenly, who died after a short illness, who died after a long illness, who died of cancer or of an immune condition or of a viral infection. Their vaccination status is often not even known. Basically, everybody dying after the vaccines were rolled out has now been killed by the jab.

It started with deliberately lying about the VAERS reporting in 2020, continued throughout the ridiculous magnetism and 5G microchip claims of lunatic rightwingers and has now coalesced into an international well-funded and powerfully motivated campaign.  Expect the misinformation, disinformation, and outright lies, to continue to grow and spread because The Killer Jab and DIED SUDDENLY narrative gives great power over peoples' lives to Rightwingers and that is what the Global Right wants; the Power to control you and the power to kill you. 

And if a few dozen Police Officers die?  Well their Thin Blue sacrifice is the price the Authoritarian Right is willing to pay in the quest to create their Fascist Dystopia.

Ukraine Quagmire convinces conservatives to consider invading Canada

The Pentagon estimates the now stalled Russian invasion of Ukraine has suffered a 10% degradation of forces and the attack itself has clearly failed to achieve whatever unrealistic timetables the Von Putin Plan called for.

Even during the darkest days of Iraq and Afghanistan, the US didn't have a disaster like this on their hands.

While facing losses and reversals on the actual battlefield, Russia and Putin continue to enjoy a sizable advantage in the United States on the virtual front of the War since the Republican Party continues to gleefully "catapult the propaganda" and to actively support Vladimir Putin and his war crimes.

All of this of course stems from the fact the Republicans entire brand of politics has been inexorably tied into that of Russia; first as erstwhile foes, now as ardent allies.  Republicans have more in common with Putin and his murderous Neo-Fascism than they do with the United States and American people. 

For decades, conservatives have broadcast, on open source platforms, that their true enemy; that they hate, that they yearn to be unleashed to round-up and murder, are Liberals.  It was easy for foreign adversaries to read, watch, and listen to conservatives year after year propound their ardent desire to "Lock'em up" and kill the non-MAGA and then craft and hone propaganda dissemination machines (rapidly assisted by the advent of social media) which amplified and now create rightwing outrages which conservatives dutifully absorb and re-transmit.

It has become a core tenet of the Republican worldview to consider the Democratic party as not simply a political opponent, but an enemy pursuing an “un-American” project of turning what is supposed to be a white Christian patriarchal nation into a land of godless multiracial pluralism. But, the Russian Invasion of Ukraine (besides being a war crime and sparking a humanitarian crisis) has shown the utter buffoonery of conservatives in the United States.  In response to the invasion of Ukraine conservatives called for the invasion of Canada,

Ha ha ha... perhaps you think this is more of that droll rightwing sense of humor?  Or this is more of the conservative need to be more and more outrageous to attract clicks and attention (and $$$) and they must be joking or can't be serious?  Well... stop it.  American Conservatives funded the fascist convoy in Canada and it morphed into an earnest attempt to topple the Trudeau Administration.  Conservatives are ideologically aligned with Putin and would love to emulate his actions in the United States and Canada. 

Fascism is on the March folks.  Stop ignoring it.  Stop whining that the Democratic Party isn't taking it seriously.  The Corporate and Rightwing Media will eviscerate any Democrat who points out what's obvious; the Republican Party and millions of their supporters are hoping and planning on ensconcing a Fundamentalist Fascist Ethno-State with the trappings of democracy, with violence meted out to non-MAGA at whim and backed with the awesome power of the State.

Fascists don't care what comes next after they topple a democratically elected government. They have a simple end-state in mind (i.e. them in charge) but their focus and purpose is to win the battle in front of them, not anything resembling actual governing.

The Ottawa and Associated Trucker Sit-Ins (Drive-Ins?) has morphed into an attempt to topple the Trudeau government. Perhaps elements always had this in mind.  Perhaps, a small group of bad actors infiltrated later to use the chaos and clown show convoy as cover.  But, when paramilitary wannabes feel free to openly erect compounds with fuel dumps, communications networks, and semi-sophisticated logistics centers then several thresholds have been crossed because modern day fascists seldom have the space to operate so openly.  Fascists always take advantage of the openness and tolerance of Democratic societies and right-wingers having co-opted and perverted the mantles of liberty, freedom, and patriotism find willing allies or foot-dragging in Law Enforcement.

Of course, the Canadian initial reaction and enforcement response seems to have been flawed either due to institutional blindness or inability to mobilize but, at the same time Fascists always strive for an over-reaction which then provides them their Casus Belli to engage in outright indiscriminate warfare.  And the Canadian system doesn't provide as strong an immediate federal response as Ours.

Fortunately for Us, Canadian citizens don't feel the constraints of the Government and have been trolling and fighting back against the Fascists.  Hackers infiltrated the communications of the Convoy and fought back interrupting their comms with the Gay Cowboy anthem "Ram Ranch".  Citizens were apparently also able to breach GiveSendGo (a Boston-based GoFundMe clone) and released the names of 92,000 donors to the Fascist Trucker Convoy.  With the proper diagnostic tools it would be a good idea to cross-reference those names with people arrested or associated with Jan6th.  GiveSendGo was also prominently used by the 01/06 Traitors.  Furthermore, on the ground reporting (therefore in contradiction with American rightwing propaganda) contradicts any claim this is some Rightwing Woodstock or expression of Workers Rights.  The only connection to Workers this group has is the National Socialist variety.  

Even a cursory examination of the leaders and people involved illustrates this is a collection of fringe far-right hooligans spouting a noxious mix of far-right bugbears, but now the group is receiving outside funding, support, and attention from many who see this as a way to undermine Democracy.  Probably some from the anti-democratic elements in Eastern Europe but, a large amount is being funneled from Good Old USA.  American right-wingers have become more and more comfortable fighting their war on Democracy and to overturn elections in our backyard.  Lead Faux Fascist Propagandist Tucker Carlson predictably called this "the most successful human rights protest".  Faux, writ large, has given nothing but glowing support for the whole endeavor.  It's always the smart play.  Faux tells its' viewers what to think and their rightwing drones will cling to that no matter what the evidence or truth.

Trump showed these people that Democratic institutions, norms, prohibitions, and even laws are weak.  Especially the laws part.  Trump and his Criminal Cabal committed crime after crime knowing the media couldn't or wouldn't keep up.  The Jan6th Inflection Point has not only put the United States in danger but, Western Democracies everywhere, as well.  It will be the Trump's lasting legacy and Vladimir Putin's most successful campaign to undermine freedom and liberty.  He's exported a new authoritarian vibe throughout the world.

Palin admits her parents took her to Canada for Socialized Health Care.

I think it is more sinister than that. Have you ever seen Sarah Palin's Birth Certificate, eh? Eh? Eh, der? Nope and why not? Because Sarah Palin was actually BORN IN WHITEHORSE CANADA and she is part of a Rebel Alliance of British Commonwealth Citizens trying to undo the American Revolution!

It's sooooo obvious now. No one who actually loved and wanted the best for America would act the way Our Lady of Iquitarod does! Palin plainly wants to return the US to British Control and while I knew the Republicans were evil I never imagined they would sell the US out to the British!

Rush' s Triumph*

I loved the Rush song Magic Power for years. It doesn't get much airplay anymore in the post-grunge, indie rock dominated music scene even on Chicago-land Classic Rock Stations like The Drive.

I figured the song came from the late 70's since musically it shared much in common with the Boston, Kansas and (as my friend Ran pointed out Styx) sound of that era. But, oddly, when I remembered to look for them at a Sam Goody's or Tower Records I could never find it on any Rush "albums".

Enter the Age of Information Access. I looked them up on iTunes and discovered these hard to find Rush songs were written by some band called Triumph. Triumph? Who the hell are those guys? Reading the biography it turns out my confusion was caused by the fact Triumph emerged as a power trio from Canada the same as Rush and possessed a similar sound. Triumph are responsible for a few great songs (Fight the Good Fight and Lay it on the Line) I recall from the early 80's. And ta boot Triumph became recent additions to the Canadian Music Hall of Fame.
