At all levels of government, Republicans demonstrate over and over again that they love lies and hate America.  This is an incontrovertible fact.  But, they get away with it for two reasons:  The Corporate Media is reticent to call out Republican lies and must always, always, always BothSides everything.  As a corollary the Rise of Rightwing Media allows Republicans to espouse their lies under the guise of News.  And their duped and violent base is primed by 50 years of non-stop agitprop to support Republicans no matter what. 

So here are (some of) the brazen Republican Lies around the 4th of July;

Phony Founding Fathers quotes has been a rightwing cottage industry since the 1950's, as Republicans sought to ground their bigotry, hatred, and christian fascism in historical precedent. 

So, it's no surprise that the Coward Josh Hawley, would use one from a Segregationist group.  After all, most Americans only know Patrick Henry as, "Give Me Liberty or Give Me Death."

Hawley is ostensibly an Honors Graduate... from Stanford... in History, and yet he can't see the verbiage in this "quote" is ahistorical and would never have been uttered by someone born and educated in the later 18th century?  Now, it's been pointed out to me that Hawley most assuredly doesn't run his Twitter account and this is, most likely, the work of some low-level 20something staffer but, that feels far too generous for a Coward who fomented insurrection against his own Nation and Government. 

Of course, much worse than these Republicans who invent Dragon's Teeth and other lies about 'An Armed Populace' was the Supreme Court ruling on Fash Colorado Karen's refusal to make a Gay Website.  No one ever requested she make the website.  Instead, the Mom for Hitler Lorrie Smith in Colorado completely made up the story that she received a request to make a gay wedding website in 2017.  But, the bigoted Faux News watching cranks on the Supremacist Court couldn't be bothered to check if the entire edifice they built their Lie upon had no foundation because Fuck You, that's Why and after all the Republican Justices were too busy taking million dollar vacations with their Billionaire benefactors to care.

In Oklahoma, some pencil-dicked dweeb named Ryan Walters won the Superintendent of Public Instruction for the State receiving 650,000 votes (57%) of the vote in 2022.  Oklahoma would of course be better off if Walters stuck his thin dick into a pencil sharpener instead of ruining the state.  Asked about the teaching of the 1921 Tulsa Race Massacre, when white conservatives slaughtered dozens of black persons, wounded a thousand more, and burned the black owned and operated Greenwood District of Tulsa, Walters responded that race shouldn't be considered, mentioned, or taught in conjunction with what his fore-bearers did in destroying the "Black Wall Street".

At least we can tell by the content of Walters character he's a despicable bigot.  As Patrick Henry actually said,

While the Media has been relentlessly trying to tamp down Elizabeth Warren, prop up Mayor Pete, justify Tulsi Gabbard, and dallying in rightwing Biden conspiracies, they are furiously interviewing Republicans about the Impeachment and consistently trying to publish the Trump became President Pivot story. Most Impeachment stories are focused on why the Democrats can't get it done!

Thus they created the Rightwing Wurlitzer of #AlternativeFacts relentlessly regurgitated by Toxic Talk Radio, Faux News, and now the unmoderated Agitprop of the Rightwing Social Media ID.

The Republicans Chuck Todd specifically picked and bussed into the Brewery aren't indicative of the region and Emptywheel decided to speak to actual residents and bar patrons who while enjoying the fantastic beers also gave a much different accounting of the rising support for Impeachment.

As Driftglass so artfully says when the Media is faced with irrefutable Republican Treachery, They both sides the shit out of it!  I could say it's shameful but, then it isn't when you realize whom the Media actually serve you realize that they will never, ever report the truth about the Trump Maladministration; the worst criminal enterprise to ever shamble into the White House and whose tiny grifting fingers are going to make off with billions looted from the Department of Treasury and Department of Defense, while also burning and undermining everything they touch.

DJ Traitor Trump is the Reverse Midas of the Reverse House of Lannister; everything he touches turns to shit and he never pays his debts. Megan Rapinoe and Race Imoden and Gwen Berry and Colin Kaepernick are True American Heroes

"To ensure the Games succeed in their purpose..." what do you suppose Sarah Hirshland believes that purpose to be? Fascism is on the march and fascists hate when their ideas are opposed and belittled, especially in public. No doubt Hirshland would have had problems with Jesse Owens showing up Hitler in 1936 or Tommie Smith and John Carlos 1968 raising their fists.

The pushback against Kaepernick, Megan Rapinoe, Race Imoden, Gwen Barry and so many others throughout history always follows the same pattern and always serves the same purpose.

Shut up and play (or sing) is a tool of oppression used by conservatives forcing self-censorship and allowing the status quo or creeping out-right fascism to advance. Always remember the false claim of #Bothsidesdoit or keep politics out of sports or so-called "neutrality" is the declaration of the oppressor and serves their goals of keeping Privilege and Oppression in place.

Republicans learned how to continually "catapult the propaganda" from their long association with the phony christian wing of their coaltion.  Conservative christian creationists have been lobbing lies and legislation for 90 years since their defeat in the Scopes Trial in 1925.  They didn't accept a defeat but, instead have been refining their methods.

Allen West Respublika posted a story, from Mark J. Fitzgibbons of The American Spectator which placed the blame for the White Terrorist Riot in Charolettesville onto the Democratic Governor of Virginia, Terry McAuliffe, the Democratic Mayor of Charolettesville Mike Singer and the Democratic Vice-Mayor Wes Bellamy.

A Department of Homeland Security memo from August 9th alerted the Unite the Right rally had the potential for violence between Anarchists and White Supremacists due to previous incidents in March and July.  Of course, as is typical of right-wing propaganda efforts the entire event must be blame shifted to the Democratic politicans and violence must be the result of both sides.

So what would the right-wing internet have supported in response to this?  Closing down the city of Charolettesville?  Immediately arresting all people with tiki torches?  Banning of hitler hairdos?  Arresting and detaining all ouside agitators with out-of-state plates?  Confiscating all weapons in defiance of the Holey Second Amendment.  No, any attempts to deter, disarm, or detain the right-wing tiKKKi terrorists would have been proof of Obama's holdovers in the DHS Deep State outlawing conservatives or the evil DemocRATs of Virginia being all super racist against poor innocent whites.  No, this is after-the-fact rationalization and justification for a right-wing terrorist get together.

Meanwhile, Mayor Singer and Charlottesville City Manager Maurice Jones are furiously attempting to blame each other, of mismangaing the incident, of being on vacation just prior to it (which they both were) as one wants to be the fall guy.

Just as we saw with the two Bundy Insurrections and the hundreds of incidents of white males conducting domestic terrorist attacks, Right-Wing violence and conservative domestic terrorism is coddled and encouraged in this country, so the blame can not rest with the right-wing domestic terrorists, tiKKKi Party, and Neo-Nazis but, must be spread around to both sides.

But, eventually the conservative internet will work around to placing the blame onto the Left as it always does.  Just like when Faux News runs with a chyron of a criminal conservative being labelled (D).  Just as with every deranged second amendment hero being recast as a liberal.  Just as we saw with the Republican Witch Hunt of HRC for the incident in Benghazi, Libya, Republicans never wanted it known they had slashed the budget for Department of State security.  Just as the response to Hurricane Harvey, Traitor Trump cut regulations on polluting chemical companies, a move cheered by Texas Republicans and championed by Congressional Republicans.

Remember the goal for conservatives is never to find the truth or to uncover the facts; The goal is to always, always, always blame liberals, minorities, and Democratic politicans and too always excuse conservative criminals, fascists, and Republicans.

Elections have consequences time to stick the Republicans with them

Next year, when the United States enters the Trump Presidency and total control of all 3 branches of Government by the Republicans its' imperative the Democratic Party offers up no support. That is Democrats should vote against every proposal the Republicans push forward for the next 4 years.

The Republicans have a 51-49 margin in the Senate and a comfortable 45 vote control in the House, but it's time the Democratic Party eliminate one of the greatest weapons the Media, holier-than-thou Leftists in the Greens, and Libertarians offer up at election time; i.e. That Both Parties are the Same. 

When Republicans propose their Swindling of Social Security by funnelling it into Wall Street where it will vanish as so many life savings and pensions did in the 2007 Republican Recession, vote No as a solid party. While white 65 year olds who voted for Trump will be angry, they've already shown themselves to be fuck you I got mine assholes so don't worry about them. But, show those 55 and younger whom Republicans are going to swindle out of Social Security who is solely responsible.

When Republicans repeal Obamacare on Day one and have nothing to replace it with, don't throw them a lifeline, offering them Medicare for All. Because Paul Ryan and the REpublicans already have a scheme to dismantle Medicare as well. Whatever half-assed remedy the Republicans propose don't vote for it. Run on the platform of the Republican Party passed legislation without a single Democratic Vote. Admittedly this will be the hardest sell. Democrats in Government want to help people and will probably support a healthcare law because it will help someone. Whereas Republicans know not only will they suffer no blowback from conservatives even when Republican policies hurt them and, in fact, conservatives will more vociferously back Republicans the more harmful the GOP is towards them the Democrats will get no support from anyone when they block legislative efforts the way Republicans do.

When Republicans propose to Concentrate illegal immigrants into Camps awaiting deportation make speeches on the House and Senate go on every Sunday talk show and vote No.

When Republicans lead by Senators Tom Cotton and Jon McCain void the Iran Nuclear Deal and vote to impose military sanctions and go to War in the Middle East again, Vote No. Even though the Media led by Faux News will castigate the Democratic Party as traitors, don't let a future generation of conservatives lay the entire blame for an Iran War on the Democratic Party as Trump and the Right-Wing laid the entire blame for the Iraq War Debacle on to HRC and her one vote as Senator.

Senator Tom Cotton one of the 47 Republican traitors who sent a letter to Iran declaring that when President Obama was out of office, the U.S. Would not honor treaties has proposed restarting water-boarding. Proclaim loudly Waterboarding is Torture. Bring up Sean Hannity's decade old boast he would be water-boarded and vote no.

When the FBI is tasked with assassinating and incarcerating everyone remotely associated with #BlackLivesMatter don't lend them cover. Again angry resentful white people are going to back the efforts against blacks 100% but, they've already shown they always support Republicans.

When the Republicans retask Drone Warfare onto the U.S.-Mexico Border to "capture" illegals don't support the protecting the borders spin and don't help the Republicans.

When Trump fires all the Generals who disagree with him about the ease of eliminating ISIS don't vote for his hand-picked yes, man for the Joint Chiefs of Staff.

The Democratic Party has to accept that the Media will savagely slander them for the next 4 years as Anti-American, as Traitors, as Sore Losers, for their unprecedented intransigence but, the Media has clearly shown they loved the last 14 months of Trump and didn't care about the Democratic Party proposals.

Additionally, moving forward Democratic Presidents and Congresses need to stop accepting the responsibility of cleaning up Republican messes. This will be the hardest of all because Democratic administrations believe in governance.

Bill Clinton cleaned up the bombast and explosive debt of Ronnie Raygun and Bush the Lesser and President Obama cleaned up the messes of Dick Cheney, George the Worst, and the Republican Congress. Stop doing that. Let the wounds inflicted by Republicans fester and rot away the WWC.

Now, most difficult of all will be Donald Trump's Impeachment. Do. Not. Help. With. This.

President-Elect Trump is facing the trial for Trump University and will soon be suing the dozen women who have accused him of criminal sexual assault so it would seem tempting to remove Trump but, this will play right into the hands of the Republicans.

Republicans would love to get rid of Trump and have Pence as President. It would allow them the veneer of respectability and reasonableness in the Executive Branch, while they pursue the same strategies they would have with Trump in charge. But, it would also let the Republican play the victim to the bigoted WWC voters. Republicans would bemoan those dastardly Democrats treacherously depriving the WWC of their True Champion Donald Trump while the media could comfortably slip back into their preferred narrative of Both Sides Do It.

Trump calls for "Second Amendment People" to assassinate Hillary Clinton

Right now, all across the Nation, conservatives are rushing to the ramparts (Internet Ramparts that is, right-wingers don't have the stones to actually defend the country) to defend Donald Trump, who called for the assassination of Hillary Clinton.

"Hillary wants to abolish, essentially abolish the Second Amendment. If she gets to pick her judges, nothing you can do, folks. Although the Second Amendment people, maybe there is. I don't know."

Clearly, Trump is calling for President Hillary Clinton to be murdered after winning the election but, before being allowed to appoint a Supreme Court Justice. So, all the furious right-wing obufscation, blame shifting to the Democrats or onto the Liberal Media is nothing but lies.

Now, Trump is not the first Republican to invoke the Second Amendment and call for his opponent to be murdered by a right-wing domestic terrorist, he's just the latest.

Sarah Palin targeted Representative Gabby Giffords in a rifle scope prior to Giffords being shot.

As the prosepct of defeat looked more and more certain for Republican Sharon Angle, she made the call, "And you know, I’m hoping that we’re not getting to Second Amendment remedies."

In 2009, Republican Catherine Crabill as a Neophyte Tea Bagger (i.e. Arch-Traitor Anti-American Neoconfederate) declared, "We have a chance to fight this battle at the ballot box before we have to resort to the bullet box."
Republican State Assembly Woman Michele Fiore, who had a cozy relationship with the Bundyite Right-Wing Domestic Terrorists, declared it's okay to point your firearm at Police Officers and kill them. Of course, with the rather large caveat that the person shooting the Police Officer is White.

Sadly, those same conservatives who were so recently declaring #blacklivesmatter and President Obama were responsible for the deaths of Police Officers, will spare no effort to make false equivalences, minimize, deflect, and justify Trump's clear call for the Murder of President Hillary Clinton. Because right-wing violence and domestic terrorism is coddled and encouraged in this Nation.

But, I'm sure right-wingers are furiously scrounging around on-line to find some obscure blogger who once called for W(orst Potus Ever) to be tried and hung at The Hague, linking to the British made Death of a President video, or taking some comment by a Democratic member of the Government out of context, as proof that Both Sides Do It and after all he's only talking about taking out Killary Klinton whose Body Count stands at 46(+) murdered Americans by her own hand.

I'll leave it to other people to decide if Trump is trying to force the Republican Party to take the nomination from him so as to not face the prospect of a crushing defeat, or if Trump is just so unbalanced that he knows he can say whatever he wants as there is literally nothing he can say or do that will dissuade his rabid pack of right-wing drones from supporting him.

This call for President Clinton's assassination will be met with overwhelming approval and increase his esteem in the eyes of conservatives.

And the media will not treat this with abhorrence and declare Trump can no longer be allowed to run for office, because Trump has set the bar so low they can just chalk this up to Trump being Trump and return to the Clinton Email Controversy and declare both sides have problems. There is no bottom for right-wing despicable depravity. The Republican Party and conservatives have sworn their souls to Trump and will inflict him upon all of Us if they can.

Trump and Cruz Voters are The Republican Party

There is a belief, the Republican Party has been begging the media to advance that the Trump Supporter is some new and here-to-before unseen Wild Reactionary. But, in much the same way the Media clings to the Both Sides Do It bullshit rhetoric, the assertion that these people aren't the typical Republican voter is false. Trump's supporters are the Republican Party of 2016. Those voting for Trump (and/or Cruz) are Conservatives. Their spittle-flecked chants have been heard at every Republican rally since 1948. And they want what Republicans have always wanted; Societal Dominance.

"This is a movement," Trump exulted last August during a campaign speech in Nashville, Tennessee. "I don’t want it to be about me."

Whatever Trump is and desires is almost irrelevant at this point. Whether he really believes women should be punished for abortions, or if he really plans to invade Mexico, round up a million slaves, and make them build us a wall, or if he will order the military to murder children, rape men, and torture women in an orgy of war crimes doesn't matter. As he said this is a Movement; and once a movement is set in motion it will continue in motion unless some other force acts upon it. And while there is a general feeling Canadian-born Raffie Cruz is more dangerous of the two, because of his megalomaniacal theocratic ambitions, either one will destroy America because of the (un)holy terror they will allow to be unleashed.

The rabid reactionary right-wing believes with Trump/Cruz as President they will be returned to the place of power and authority, even if it's an ephemeral power only over the most marginalized people in the Nation.

What we are seeing is the final transformation of the Republican Party. The Party Elites, who promised a Re-birth of the Nation to get the votes of angry bigots, in order to pass tax cuts is about to complete it's change into the Party of White Power Racists, which will promise the upper class tax cuts to keep them on board.

One additional thought, which was spurred by Steve M. over at No More Mister Nice Blog where he asks why we haven't seen Trumpian Riots yet. It's one thing for the White Power Tea Party Republicans to kick out an Eric Cantor in Virginia or to nominate a Sharron Angle for Senate in Nevada, but when it comes to the Presidency the Republican Elites have much more sway and they very well may take the nomination from Herr Trump.

If they do engage in some convention misdirection, I believe the Republican Party, that cadre of racist bigots, right-wing religious fanatics, conservative child molestors, and Vulture Capitalists will do as they as always have; dutifully line up and vote for the candidate (whomever it may be) with the saintly R after his name.

Some weapons are acceptable. Those machine guns emplacements which mowed down hundreds of thousands of men in World War 1were totally fine. That mustard gas which killed far less? Absolutely evil!

Of course, that Winston Churchill ordered British Dive Bombers to use poison gas on Iraqis in 1920 has been forgotten by everyone (save the Iraqi Insurgents during OIF who named their group the 1920 Revolutional Brigade).

One would think by now that Americans would understand that the Plutocratic Military-Industrial-Congressional-Complex runs this Nation.

Of course, we are going to conduct "MOOTW" in Syria. There enough votes on Both Sides to approve US military involvment. The Region and more importantly the oil reserves are still a keystone to the Strategic Goals of many nations.

What President Obama's call on Congress does is stick a finger in the eye of the Tea Party Assholes in Congress who claim to be so outside the normal corruption in DC.

There's going to be a split in the Republican Party over this, Senators John McCain and Lindsey Graham never met a Bombing Campaign they didn't love, Speaker John Boehner has already indicated his support, but any of the Teahadists who vote against the interests of the MIC are going to find funding for their future political campaigns very hard to get. It doesn't mean they can't carve out a Ron Paul niche, but by and large a No Vote is going to doom them.

Right now, the Anti-American Tea Party is trying to figure the metrics. Mostly, it's coming down on Obama's a Muslim Terr-a-wrist so he's doing this to get Assad killed to help the Muslim Brotherhood and Al Qaeda just as he did in Libya and Egypt. 

But, while that works for the (ever-growing) Insane Faction of the Republican Party, most want to take War Credit while also damning President Obama. So you get the Marco Rubio/Paul Ryan Right-Wing Saviors who will vote for military action while claiming President Obama has already lost Syria by not invading earlier.

Sadly, it appears the yes votes for the initial Air Campaign, which may eventually Mission Creep into full-blown Regime Change in Syria, will come from the Democratic Party.

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi has voiced her support for the President will she drag enough Democrats along to get us embroiled in Syria?

Right now in Illinois, my Congressmen Peter Roskam (R) is Undecided and my Congresswoman Tammy Duckworth (D) is a No. Senator Mark Kirk (R) is a Yes and Senator Dick Durbin is Undecided.

The question is: the Middle East is nearly destabilized, what will more US military involvement do to the Region? My fear is a full-blown regional war which will set off a cascading sequence of events which involves Outside Powers because of the massive oil reserves.

Despite our Victory in Iraq as proclaimed by the Right-Wing Fart Bubble before George W(orst Ever) Bush skulked out of office, thousands are still dying in coordinated VBIED attacks, (What are you doing on the 5th Anniversary of Victory in Iraq Day on November 22nd?)

Republicans are still angered that President Obama directed a successful Operation in Libya.
