From Oklahoma, to Missouri, and Washington DC Republicans celebrate Independence Day by being Free to Lie about everything

At all levels of government, Republicans demonstrate over and over again that they love lies and hate America.  This is an incontrovertible fact.  But, they get away with it for two reasons:  The Corporate Media is reticent to call out Republican lies and must always, always, always BothSides everything.  As a corollary the Rise of Rightwing Media allows Republicans to espouse their lies under the guise of News.  And their duped and violent base is primed by 50 years of non-stop agitprop to support Republicans no matter what. 

So here are (some of) the brazen Republican Lies around the 4th of July;

Phony Founding Fathers quotes has been a rightwing cottage industry since the 1950's, as Republicans sought to ground their bigotry, hatred, and christian fascism in historical precedent. 

So, it's no surprise that the Coward Josh Hawley, would use one from a Segregationist group.  After all, most Americans only know Patrick Henry as, "Give Me Liberty or Give Me Death."

Hawley is ostensibly an Honors Graduate... from Stanford... in History, and yet he can't see the verbiage in this "quote" is ahistorical and would never have been uttered by someone born and educated in the later 18th century?  Now, it's been pointed out to me that Hawley most assuredly doesn't run his Twitter account and this is, most likely, the work of some low-level 20something staffer but, that feels far too generous for a Coward who fomented insurrection against his own Nation and Government. 

Of course, much worse than these Republicans who invent Dragon's Teeth and other lies about 'An Armed Populace' was the Supreme Court ruling on Fash Colorado Karen's refusal to make a Gay Website.  No one ever requested she make the website.  Instead, the Mom for Hitler Lorrie Smith in Colorado completely made up the story that she received a request to make a gay wedding website in 2017.  But, the bigoted Faux News watching cranks on the Supremacist Court couldn't be bothered to check if the entire edifice they built their Lie upon had no foundation because Fuck You, that's Why and after all the Republican Justices were too busy taking million dollar vacations with their Billionaire benefactors to care.

In Oklahoma, some pencil-dicked dweeb named Ryan Walters won the Superintendent of Public Instruction for the State receiving 650,000 votes (57%) of the vote in 2022.  Oklahoma would of course be better off if Walters stuck his thin dick into a pencil sharpener instead of ruining the state.  Asked about the teaching of the 1921 Tulsa Race Massacre, when white conservatives slaughtered dozens of black persons, wounded a thousand more, and burned the black owned and operated Greenwood District of Tulsa, Walters responded that race shouldn't be considered, mentioned, or taught in conjunction with what his fore-bearers did in destroying the "Black Wall Street".

At least we can tell by the content of Walters character he's a despicable bigot.  As Patrick Henry actually said,

It's all day, everyday, everywhere, all at once.  Republicans have already declared War on the US, Lies are merely one salient in the Republican Plan to destroy the United States.  Unconstitutional SCOTUS ruling are another.  But, the goal of the Republican Party is nothing less than to destroy this Nation and replace it with a NeoConfederate Dominionist Hellscape of Bigotry, Oppression, Hatred, and Rule by the Rich.  We all wish it were not true and many act as though Republicans & Rightwingers won't follow the pattern of all Totalitarian Regimes but, no matter the outcome of 2024, Republicans are primed for violence and awaiting the Orders.

The Supremacist Court ruling striking down a century old sensible and necessary gun law continues to bear fruit.  Justice Ginni Thomas wrote, that government can't limit the open carrying guns in public for "self-defense" and yet again the Republican Party continues to use the Second Amendment as a Murder-Suicide Pact as since real life isn't a video game it's impossible to tell a good guy with a gun from a bad guy until he kills you.

As President Biden deftly noted, ""This ruling contradicts both common sense and the Constitution, and should deeply trouble us all."

And so... Six people killed at a 4th of July parade in Highland Park when a teenaged white male opened fire with a rifle from a rooftop.  The AR-15 continues to make gobs of blood money for Gun Manufacturers and the Republican Party.  

I don't want to attack or insult victims of this shooting but, when WBEZ published multiple quotes from witnesses saying how could this happen in a safe community like Highland Park it brings up so much bile as people have become conditioned and numb to gun violence.  Gun violence only happens in Chicago... gun violence is associated with urban blight and inner city decay not affluent suburbs.

And this, this is the goal of the Republican Party; to make the Untied States of America ungovernable. Going all the way back to Ronnie Raygun's Nine most frightening words in the English language to the Lawless Opus Dei SCOTUS rulings stripping women of their citizenship, rights, and dignity and declaring that Congress and the Constitution are Unconstitutional to the Sinister Six Supremes, the Republican Party slow-moving coup is to drown the US Government and replace it with a fascist facsimile.

Every one of these latest rulings; gutting the EPA, unleashing gun violence, enforcing Republican gerrymanders, stripping women of their humanity and protection under law are designed to impress upon you the futility of your resistance.  To bludgeon you into depressed cynicism or resigned acceptance that Republican government is inevitable.

And through non-stop repetitive propaganda about migrant caravans or looting Antifa or out of control crime Republicans condition their followers to cling tighter to their guns and fascist fundamentalist religion.

Time for more worthless thoughts and useless prayers from the pro-gun violence rightwingers who get aroused and ecstatic at the prospect of another shooting in Illinois.  Social media will be festooned with that's what you libtards get for voting DemocRAT.  Again and again guns destroy dozens of families and punch holes in the fabric of America but, because the statistical odds are very low that you or someone you know and love will be killed by gun violence Republican malfeasance will continue to extract an unspeakable toll.

If Gun Loons are actually interested in the Liberty of the Second Amendment

Why don't they challenge Fireworks Laws and Ordinances across the country?

Today is the 4th of July. Every June, July and August resident complaints about fireworks skyrocket in my town. Now why is that?

Besides Municipal Ordinances, Illinois still has a multiple laws and regulations in reference to Fireworks; 425 ILCS 30, the Fireworks Regulation Act of Illinois.

Why don't the Lovers of Liberty move to strike down Laws infringing upon fireworks makers and users?

The reason they don't is because most Second Amendment Screamers are witting or unwitting tools for Gun Manufacturers and the Merchants of Death. Fireworks don't make enough $$$ to get the Gun Lobby motivated to file challenges under the False Flag of Defending Rights and Liberty.

By July 9th Illinois has been ordered to have a Concealed Carry Law adopted due to the 2010 case McDonald v. Chicago. In that 5-4 ruling, SCOTUS exercised an INCREDIBLE OVERREACH of BIG GOVERNMENT from UNELECTED JUDGES LEGISLATING from the BENCH, by holding that the Second Amendment was incorporated under the Fourteenth Amendment thus local, county and state governments have no rights in reference to Guns.

Of course, the word "Gun" appears nowhere in the Second Amendment. And besides the Stare Decisis of "Well Regulated" there is no clear definition of what "Arms shall not be infringed".

Small explosives have long been weapons and components of a military's hardware. By the time the Founders wrote the Bill of Rights, there was already an established tradition of individual soldiers armed with explosives, Grenadiers, as opposed to Fusiliers.

So, it's not cut and dried that Arms refers to Guns. But, what's clear is negligent discharges, unattended guns being used by children to kill children, and unlawful shootings of innocents are going up.

I'm not talking about murders but of these bizarre scenarios such as in an Oakland Wingstop where a Second Amendment Hero murdered two employees:
