Meet the Press and The New York Times proves there are but, 4 Media Stories

While the Media has been relentlessly trying to tamp down Elizabeth Warren, prop up Mayor Pete, justify Tulsi Gabbard, and dallying in rightwing Biden conspiracies, they are furiously interviewing Republicans about the Impeachment and consistently trying to publish the Trump became President Pivot story. Most Impeachment stories are focused on why the Democrats can't get it done!

The unfortunate truth is there are only 4 story templates the Media runs with:

2. What do Trump Voters think?
3. Today... Trump, truly, became President
4. Democrats in Disarray!!!

It's awful the level the Media is willing to overlook Republican Perfidy and attempt to spin rightwing propaganda into a real story. Republicans have perfected the Art of Working the Media. They learned their lessons from Vietnam and Nixon. After those defeats conservatives decided they would never, ever, again let the Media ruin their narrative. Thus they created the Rightwing Wurlitzer of #AlternativeFacts relentlessly regurgitated by Toxic Talk Radio, Faux News, and now the unmoderated Agitprop of the Rightwing Social Media ID.

And here Meet The Press rustles up every Trumpublican they can find to ask them, the Real America, what they think about all this Impeachment rigamarole and hub-bub. This staged event is bad but, then it took place at Brewery Vivant who's Frenchstyle Farmhouse Ale is c'est magnifique. The Republicans Chuck Todd specifically picked and bussed into the Brewery aren't indicative of the region and Emptywheel decided to speak to actual residents and bar patrons who while enjoying the fantastic beers also gave a much different accounting of the rising support for Impeachment.

As Driftglass so artfully says when the Media is faced with irrefutable Republican Treachery, They both sides the shit out of it!  I could say it's shameful but, then it isn't when you realize whom the Media actually serve you realize that they will never, ever report the truth about the Trump Maladministration; the worst criminal enterprise to ever shamble into the White House and whose tiny grifting fingers are going to make off with billions looted from the Department of Treasury and Department of Defense, while also burning and undermining everything they touch.

DJ Traitor Trump is the Reverse Midas of the Reverse House of Lannister; everything he touches turns to shit and he never pays his debts. But, while he's engaged in this FSB/GRU Russian backed campaign of destruction the media will never report it as such, instead they will find some Zealous Infowars Host, dub him a Regular Joe the Plumber and broadcast his fanatical Civil War fantasies.

But, complaining about the Media is not a winning strategy for Us. It works for Trump because 40 years of ground work has been laid to ensure no "reporter" ever strays far from the rightwing narrative and at worst the News report views differ and Republican lies are massaged by the Media into 'truthiness'. Instead, we are going to have to win by pounding the pavement and getting people to vote for the Democratic nominee and every other Democrat we can because, Teaparty darling Justin Amash aside, no Republican is going to break with Trump.

Trump is a runaway nuclear pile of treason emitting crimes at an exponentially expanding rate

"I guess you probably know the numbers were extremely lopsided, right? I’m just trying to figure out the few people who voted the other way. Who are they? Who are they? Find out who they are, please, and let us know."  - Trump once told Police Officers to figure out who voted against him.

Faced with the prospect of his Impeachment and Imprisonment Trump is melting down and threatens to destroy the Nation with him. Whatever control rods once kept Trump's wanton runaway criminality in check early on have been removed and he is surrounded by his idiot sons and venal sycophants.

It's unsurprising Trump sought out and was fed rightwing conspiracy theories by his cadre of traitors and criminals. Propaganda has won. Conservatives exist only inside their echo-chamber; emitting, inhaling, and regurgitating lies about the Democratic Party and deep state plots against The Chosen One. Of course, conservatives have a habit of getting high on their own supply of propaganda so, Trump believes there are secrets in Ukraine and all he needed to do was use a foreign intelligence service to bring down his political rivals. Trump's favorite journalist Glenn Greenwald has repeatedly told him the U.S. Government does the same thing, so turnabout is fair play.

At this point, Trump believes his best strategy is to brazenly commit more and more crimes out in the open. His Maga Horde will never believe Trump has done anything wrong, while at the same time they descend upon any story or news report and spam and troll comments.

But, as Traitor Trump screeches there now is the real prospect of conservatives ramping up their domestic terrorist campaign. Ramping up is the key because conservatives are already engaged in low-level violence against the Nation. Paramilitary conservatives don't believe they will defeat the US military in open warfare, what the Oathbreakers and other groups believe is their initial terror campaign will incite a reaction and as violence escalates the National Guard, Law Enforcement, and eventually the military will get involved; then the majority of those organizations will join the Maga Horde as the Oathbreakers valiantly take back America as the tip of the spear.

Of course, if this happens and people die and the country fractures it doesn't matter to Trump because his goal has always been to enrich himself and his spawn and access to grift billions from the US Treasury and Department of Defense budget was the ultimate prize.

The revelations that Trump explicitly committed High Crimes by tasking a Foreign Government to interfere with the United States in exchange for taxpayer money flies in the face of what the Fourth Estate wants and needs to be true. Trump's Treason and ties to the Ukrainian Mob ruins the media narrative. The are only 4 stories the media wants to run on Donald Trump:

But, in reality Trump is a mobbed-up grifter who's never accomplished anything without the help of criminal actions. Trump's ties to the Mafia underworld stretch back to his days in the 1970's Manhattan real estate business, continued to his links to Russian crime lords in the 1990's (when no reputable financial institution would give him any money) and now reaches into other countries.

President Trump told his acting chief of staff, Mick Mulvaney, to hold back almost $400 million in military aid for Ukraine at least a week before a phone call in which Trump is said to have pressured the Ukrainian president to investigate the son of former vice president Joe Biden, according to three senior administration officials.

Of course, Trump tried to strong-arm the Ukrainian Government and offered them an explicit Quid Pro Quo; it's Criminal Traitor Trump's modus operandi. But, having a flagrant criminal and shameless grifter in the White House can not be the truth so enter the media. This doesn't mean Faux News, because they aren't a media source, but a propaganda channel furiously disseminating lies and #agitprop for the Magat Horde to consume and regurgitate. No this is the so-called Vaunted Fourth Estate, who have spent the last 4 years feverishly working to legitimize Trump and running the BothSidesDoIt playbook (All props to Driftglass), whenever confronted with the gross naked horror of what Trump truly is. 

Russian pimps and gangsters, who after years of studying conservatives, knew exactly what to say to tickle the rightwing lizard brain in 2016. Trump knows how he won in 2016 he's going to use the same technique to win in 2020, namely getting a foreign government to fabricate, disseminate, and replicate lies and propaganda to the American people.

Rudy Giuliani spent the last week attempting the Dick Cheney gambit by leaking lies to the media and then breathlessly proclaiming 'Even the liberal media is reporting...'

Because, Trump (or more likely) his cadre of criminal co-conspirators know once these lies and smears are pushed into the American bloodstream, the disingenuous media will shrug and proclaim, 'Some people say...' and 'This story is out there...' and 'People are talking about it, so that means we must as well...'

Of course, the Magat Horde is unreachable, they have their automatic "Fake News!" retort memorized like a incantation to magic away anything which interferes with their love of The Chosen One. As the refrain goes don't take Trump literally take him symbolically.

Trump symbolizes all the raw naked hatred which constitutes the core being of conservatives. Thus, they will never abandon him. Indeed, they can not abandon Trump because it will mean abandoning their true selves. And faced with such a paradigm, it won't take much for conservatives who live for #OwntheLibs to be nudged by Trump's desperation into #KilltheLibs, in order to avoid reckoning with what they've become.

Ukraine and Traitor Trump conspire against the United States

"I'm not beaten yet! I still have armies in the Ukraine!"
"Ha ha ha! The Ukraine??? The Ukraine is weak. It's feeble. I think it's time to put the hurt on the Ukraine."

Apparently, Rudy Giuliani learned his entire policy ideas from his guest appearance on Seinfeld. And thus we have the explicit quid pro quo from Traitor Trump. Impeachment has been necessary for a long time but, the sufficient political cause for removal of the orange stain upon the White House has seemingly been lacking. Perhaps, not anymore.

It seems clear, Trump personally and through Rudy Giuliani asked Ukraine to fabricate and release smears, agitprop, and/or other politically damaging information on Joe Biden. And in exchange the US at Trump's direction would release $250,000,000 in military aid for the Ukrainian government. Whatever else Trump promised is unknown right now, but Trump is such a blundering blustering buffoon it could be almost anything.

Of course, Trump asked a foreign power to interfere in the 2020 Election. He had Russian interference in the 2016 election. Getting aid and comfort with hostile foreign powers is Trump's MO.

Nonetheless, we are yet again starting the Trump Scandal saga;

1. Trump commits a crime.
2. Trump, the Republicans and his Magat Horde deny it.
3. Trump, the Republicans and his Magat Horde accuse the Democrats of doing it.
4. Trump, the Republicans and his Magat Horde admit to doing it but, claim it's not a crime.
5. Trump, the Republicans and his Magat Horde say so what if it is a crime, that's just Trump draining the swamp.

The Republican Party is never going to do what is right. So, get that notion out of your head. Instead the calculus for the Republicans is how much damage will they suffer. The Republicans attached themselves like lice to Trump's rear in 2016 and stuck with him in 2018 because they calculated the election fallout to be worse for them if they turned on him. In 2020, we've see more than a dozen of Republican rats abandoning the SS Trump and "choosing" not to run for re-election. So will the Republican cut-and-run as the natural criminal cowards they are or have they determined the fate of a Racist Rapist is the fate of their party?
