And fuck off with blaming President Joe Biden, Vice President Kamala Harris, or even Barack Obama; they spent the last year plus warning you what Trump wanted and what Trump said he was going to do and Americans voted for it. Vice President Harris made the right move in conceding. President Biden did the proper thing meeting with Traitor Trump and talking of a helpful peaceful transition. What would you like? Biden closing the White House to him or some other performative denial of Trump's legitimacy? Because Trump won.
Don't even start with any denial of Trump's victory. Sure it's not overwhelming or a mandate but, it's a win and a decisive one. Look how Republicans still even today the claim Democrats refuse to conceded losses, they cite HRC in 2016 and Stacey Abrams in Georgia in 2018 to prove election denialism is a BothSides situation and Democrats are hypocrites.
Being a party dedicated to truth and justice and rules and institutions means . We can not be part of the group that helps to undermine those rules and institutions. However...
Don't be the loyal opposition. Don't extend them the courtesies of comity. Don't give them symbolic victories. Don't reach across the aisle in bipartisanship. Don't help them keep the trains running on time. Make them own every single vote and bill and all the fallout. And definitely don't let them claim BothSides Do It!
Republicans can claim without evidence the Election was Rigged! I won! And I won by a lot! Even after losing case after case. We can not. What we can do right now is gather your strength, identify what you can do and be ready to do it when or if the time comes.
So, Stephen Miller's plan to recruit and deploy "Red-State" Armies in recalcitrant Blue State cities to facilitate the rounding-up of migrants is actually designed to trigger you in many ways. First, it gets you emotionally upset but, more importantly he and the Trump cabal are hoping We overreact and begin "resisting" before they come in thus giving them the Casus Belli to in fact come in.
Don't misunderstand. This is not a call to conform, collaborate, or submit. We, the People have to Fight. But, we have the fight intelligently.
Right now be prepared to document, because Trump and his hive of scum and villainy are not going to want their crimes reported on and the pliant Corporate Media sure doesn't want to report on or broadcast Trump and MAGA's crimes against humanity and ethnic cleansing. The Corporate Media is just here to chuckle and dutifully stenograph the Trump Show, and that funny collection of scamps in his Cabinet of Grotesqueries.
But, they have to move first. They have to break Posse Commitaus, they have to be shown doing unlawful midnight raids and violations of Due Process, and warrantless arrests first, then we can raise objections and declare Trump's actions unconstitutional.
This won't work to stop him. Faux News will justify each and every step, every violation, every crime along the way. False equivalence, whataboutism, and Obama/Biden did worse will be used. Additionally, exactly zero Republicans will break with Trump no matter what he and his cabal do.
But, I will reiterate Tom Homan's declaration he's going to kick out all Hispanics even those here "legally" isn't actually the plan; the plan is three-fold. First, Democratic Governors are already signaling their intent to be nodes of resistance. This is the moral, humane, and legal way to resist but, First it's entirely what MAGA wants because Stephen Miller is going to spend his entire new career as special assistant to Trump going on Faux News decrying Big Liberal cities and Democratic states as dens of rapist and murdering illegals. And, by gosh, if only those Democrats hadn't coddled those rapist illegals raping and killing your white women Trump would have made America great. Second, they are going to limited operations, far from urban centers and with limited scope and claim those expelled are the worst of the worst (no matter who they are). Third, and this is perhaps the most dire and most speculative I think MAGA wants there to be unrest/protests which they can use to unleash Police Departments and Sheriffs and more importantly roving gangs of Rightwing Paramilitary Terrorists.
I think they lamented not cracking down even more forcefully during the 2020 George Floyd riots (although you will note every Republican and conservative on social media claims Black Live Matter and Antifa did trillions in damage, murdered dozens of Police Officers, and not a single protestor was arrested. This is of course despite the fact municipal Police (especially in places like Philadelphia) were responsible for most of the violence and there was no such thing as organized Antifa riots, even according to William Barr's Department of Justice and the FBI itself.
So, get yourself ready because this probably is going to be very bad. But, don't jump the gun. Don't give them the slenderest reed to lay the entire blame on Us. And when things get as bad as we think they might, you'll know what to do.
