Migrant Buses and the Government's inability to handle any Crisis - Part 1: Background

As a massive blizzard descends upon Chicago and the stories coming out about the struggles migrant people are facing having been shipped to Northern Illinois by vile Republican human traffickers it's useful to understand a little of how we got here.

As Republicans continue to demonstrate on Capitol Hill, they have zero ability to respond to any real crisis.  Now, Republicans certainly have the ability to create crises such as when Tommy Tubberbrain decided he was going to use his Liberum Veto to personally hold up the promotions of senior military officers.  Or with the Republican led House continued inability to fund the government.  Or with the Republican circuses surrounding Hunter Biden, which demonstrates Republicans have no interest in governing but in merely grandstanding and using the awesome power government to go after anyone who threatens their power.

Republican governance consists solely of the hollowing out of the functions of Government and the creation of a Nation which has zero-margin for error when dealing with any crisis.  Now, this is partially because Republicans have said for decades that government doesn't work so it's imperative for them to prove that axiom true by undermining the government all the time.  Doing so under the a of a Democratic President is an added bonus of them being able to blame Barack or Biden for Republican perfidy.

Immigration is not a crisis it's not even a problem but, because of 40+ years of Republicans slashing the social safety net, of Republicans undermining the Nation's industry and foundation, of Republicans using social issues to undercut government programs and funnel taxpayer money into the hands of private business, the Government at local, State, and the Federal level seems unable to address it.

Republicans have hollowed out the concept of community.  Much like the dumb car culture in America, the creation of suburbs and exurbs has led to the atomization of thinking Americans have been brain-washed into thinking each of them and all of us are individual islands instead of a shared continent.  When you couple, Republicans mean-spirited social programs with ruinous Republicans economic theories and policies the majority of the American people are too focused on their own day-to-day struggles to try and help their fellow man.

Of course, Government was supposed to be the creation of people to collectively handle issues too big for any one man to handle themselves.  This is also the mytho-historical truth of the creation of the United States of America; from the Founding Fathers "Join, or Die" to Abraham Lincoln "In Union there is Strength" and is absolutely why Republicans do not want Civics or history taught to children anymore. 

The United States has been limping along on the bones of Franklin Delano Roosevelt's New Deal and Works Progress Administration for decades now.  That evil slime Ronnie Raygun was hired by the Republican apparatchiks to slay the New Deal and make the idea of government toxic, which he successfully did.

One of his prime targets was the idea of government social services.   Raygun famously declared Social security was going bankrupt over 40 years ago a cry which Republicans echo til this day without anyone in the Corporate Media calling them out for their bullshit.

"As you know, the Social Security System is teetering on the edge of bankruptcy," Ronnie Raygun letter to Congress May 21st 1981.

Raygun also famously got his start by cutting a record for Chesterfield cigarettes calling Medicare and Medicaid "Socialism",

"One of these days you and I are going to spend our sunset years telling our children and our children's children what it once was like in America... when men were free."

That scumbag Reagan damaged the country in so many ways but...  But!  He also granted amnesty to 11 million immigrants in a move no Republican today would tolerate and rightwing propagandists would call for the impeachment and the execution of any President DemocRAT who did.  (OH LOOK, Republicans are trying to bootstrap the term "Insurrection" because of the "8 Million" onto Joe Biden even if Missouri Attorney General Jay NEPO BABY Ashcroft couldn't tell his ass from a hole in the ground during an interview with CNN.

The basic facts are the Republican Party is completely uninterested in helping anyone; immigrants or American citizens.  The Republican Party does not believe the federal government should aid or help anyone; you are on your own.  The 40+ years of "compassionate conservatism" has been a cover the Party and the Media allies use to cover the awful truth of the Republican Party; a wholly Fascist Organization wedded to destroying the American dream and shackling the vast majority of the American People into perpetual corporate bondage and under the tyrannical thumb of christian fundamentalism. 

Nobody wants to stay in Illinois! Everybody's leaving!!!

You've got to pronounce the title of this post with a long O and exaggerated George Wendt accent to get the full flavor of the midwest rightwing loon.

For years we've heard conservatives excitedly pronounce that people are fleeing Illinois!  (At that Youtube video link is a video from 4 years ago claiming the same thing). You will also hear this statement made about California.  It's been a wish fulfillment mantra for rightwingers to prove Real Americans hate liberal policies and Democratic control of government.

Of course, it's also an untruth.  But, Republicans will never bypass an opportunity to undermine Democracy in their pursuit of destroying the United States and establishing a Neo Confederate Fundamentalist Fascist Ethno-State.

So, while Traitor Trump and his Regime were scheming on overthrowing the Nation in a spectacular Coup d'etat they were also engaged in old school Stalinesque undercounting.

The 2020 U.S. Census undercounted the population of Illinois by almost 2%.

The U.S. Census Bureau originally found that Illinois lost about 18,000 people over the prior decade, which was the first time numbers showed Illinois’ overall population had declined since it joined the union in 1818. But after a follow-up survey— something that happens after each once-a-decade head count of the U.S. population — it discovered the state’s population figures had likely been undercounted. 

Anecdotally, driving around the collar counties rightwing hate talk radio proclaims everyone's fleeing Illinois whilst I see brand new construction of mini McMansion starting at a half million.  

Now, Illinois still loses that Congressional seat, even though we shouldn't have, and even if rightwingers were to address the undercounting, well they'd no doubt simply declare since it's done under President Biden's administration it's fake news.

In 2018, the Chicago Metropolitan Agency of Planning released there 3 year update for the future of the Northeast Illinois Region called ON TO 2050.  Looking over the executive summary pdf this would certainly be classified by CRT by the 2024 DeSantis Administration.

The Revenge of the Thin Blue Line 3: Bill Barr's Excellent Adventure

Lost among the Impeachment Brouhaha, has been the strange journeys of Attorney General Bill Barr. Now, no one should be surprised Bill Barr is a brazen corrupt Hatchet Man. It's what he's been trained and brought in for; to undermine Law & Order and excuse rampant Republican Criminality. He did it during Iran-Contra and he's doing it now.

AG Barr has been traveling around the globe attempting to get Foreign Governments to announce Investigations into Democratic Presidential Candidates or The Left in general. It's a shocking display of naked fascism and a dastardly criminal conspiracy and worse... This shit almost worked! Giuliani and his Ukrainian Mobsters were on their way to announce the investigation to Sean Hannity when the arrests were made.

Barr and the Trump Maladministration would have used Sean Hannity's "reporting" to announce a criminal investigation here in the US and Trump would have peppered his ridiculous adderall fueled Nuremberg Adjacent Rallies to declare This Country and That Country are investigating the Radical Left Democrats. It would have quickly be assimilated into the Magat Horde blood stream, relentlessly churned into daily rightwing on-line screeds (buttressed by FSB bot accounts) gotten woven into the #QAnon bread crumbs, been the subject of non-stop Media Coverage, and easily morphed into a call to arrest every Democrat.

Obviously, Republicans believe by having foreign nations cast aspersions they can act as though their hands are clean and allow the Media to run with their propaganda and create But Her Emails and I Love Wikileaks 2.0. Fortunately, the Trump Extortion and Bribery Quid Pro Quo failed and it fueled Trump's Impeachment. But, AG Bill Barr is not one to have his criminal actions undone by anything. So, Barr has given two speeches calling upon Reactionary's to Grid up their Loins and prepare to murder millions of Non-#Maga.

In August, Barr gave a speech to the Grand Lodge of the Fraternal Order of Police, a horrific Fascist Authoritarian Leadership cabal, which has worked for years to turn Police Forces across the Country into Reactionary Paramilitary Organizations enforcing white supremacy and the rightwing agenda of multi-tiered justice and oppression.

But, Barr was just getting started. His latest fascist rant, delivered to the Federalist Society (the groomers of "Justice" Boofer Kavanugh), is chock full of the standard rightwing rhetoric which Mark Levin, Ann Coulter, Racist Limbaugh and other rightwing "luminaries" have been puking forth for decades. But, Barr's latest Blut und Boden speech also incorporates religious language, "progressive holy war", "conservatives do not seek earthly paradise" progressives use "the coercive power of the state to remake man and society". Anytime you read something like that every American should feel a shiver down their spine and grit their teeth. Because once conservatives invoke Gott Mit Uns... Well, all things become reasonable... and necessary...

Conservatives are aching and yearning for Trump and his Maladministration to give them the go ahead to begin rounding-up and killing millions of Americans. And AG Bill Barr just delivered the Fascism wrapped in the Flag and carrying the Cross...
