So... Beer...  contra Benjamin Franklin's wisdom beer is not proof god loves us and wants to be happy.  But, to quote Homer Simpson alcohol is the cause and solution to all the world's problems.

Back in January, Canadian health officials and the World Health Organization reported that the amount of alcohol that is safe to consume is almost none.  2 drinks a week maximum is the new recommendation.  Incidentally, every drunk I've ever pulled over has always claimed to have had just 2 beers before driving.

Never one to let a good ginned-up controversy go to waste the Republicans claimed Joe Brandon is trying to take your beers away from you!  Faux News nincompoop Petey Doocey asked in a White House Press Conference "Does President Biden want to limit Americans to two beers a week?" and Faux News headlines are Biden White House dodges the question.  I'm surprised Kid Rock wasn't brought on to shoot up some Budweiser Zeroes...  

Republicans really have no respect for their voting base.  Ted Cruz would have you believe he was drinking brewskis with his chums while at Haaaaaaaaavard and Princeton, "If they want us to drink two beers a week, they can kiss my ass…". Yeah, right.  Rafael is so thirsty for tough guy bonafides.  Although, I bet while Cruz was vacationing in Cancun he drank plenty of Pina Colada's while Texas residents suffered from his typical lack of leadership.

As usual, elitist Republicans make these ham-handed, play-acting efforts to be seen as regular Joes instead of the smooth-bodied wide-waisted Ivy Leaguers.  Just "Belive" John Kennedy polishing his little silver .38 is a tough guy.  

Anyway, alcohol is not good for you.  No red wine isn't healthy.  No two drinks a night isn't okay.  But, there is truth in wine and the truth is alcohol is a poison.

This has been known for a long time but, the alcohol lobby is very powerful.  Just think of the billionaire families who made their money just distributing beer;  the Wirtz family in Chicago own the Blackhawks and Cindy McCain (nee Hensley) bootlegger father was the second largest Anheuser-Busch distributor in the US; as he grudgingly bankrolled John McCain's Senate runs.

The recent booze fueled antics of Wisconsin Drunk Van Orden and pill-popping, vodka-chugging Texan Ronny Jackson both have shown what mean drunks Republicans are but, despicable Republicans will never let an opportunity to lie about President Biden go to waste.

President Abraham Lincoln knew what and whom we are dealing with today back in 1860.  Conservatives have decided that unless we the people yield unconditionally to them they will ruin America.  Republican Rule or Ruin...

Wisconsin Minocqua Brewing attacked by Weaponized Government

I tend to shy away from ascribing certain over-determined explanations for Republican perfidy.  Therefore, every creepy rightwing YouTuber screaming about trans peoples genitals and groomers isn't necessarily closeted or a sex pest, although Steven Crowder and Matt Walsh are definitely rapist perverts.  And every accusation of a Weaponized Government by Republicans isn't a necessarily a confession of Republican desires.

But, in Minocqua, Wisconsin it most assuredly is;

A Northwoods brewpub known for marketing beers named after Democratic politicians had its ability to operate revoked Wednesday after a yearslong battle over local zoning rules. 

Under the decision by an Oneida County zoning committee, Minocqua Brewing Company would be forced to close its doors. Owner Kirk Bangstad has vowed to appeal the decision and remain open as long as possible.  

The dispute involved parking regulations and a contested plan by Bangstad to open an outdoor beer garden. But in social media posts and statements to news media, Bangstad has repeatedly claimed that he is being targeted by a conservative board because of his liberal political views. 

Kirk Bangstad's accusation is, undoubtably true.  Especially, since rightwingers have openly attacked his business in the past. Thanks to President Jimmy Carter, we are currently in a Renaissance of Craft Beer; even if psycho beer makers continue to foist hop-laden undrinkable IPAs upon the consumer.  Additionally, the Wisconsin legislature recently voted to change the laws regarding brewing, selling, and consuming alcohol across the state, as they were a mish-mash of anti-monopoly and prohibition era ideas about restricting consumption and keeping one company from controlling the entire means of production and distribution.  So, to cite Miocqua Brewing over this ticky-tack violation of zoning rules strikes directly to the heart of it being a vendetta against an openly liberal company and business owner.

If you've never been to the Minocqua region of Upper Wisconsin, it's a marshy land, festooned with numerous small lake waters.  It's heavily a tourist and summer rental area.  So it's not as if this is the insular land of Rightwing cousin-fvckers.  There's a market for Minocqua's beers.

“I am open for business until somebody puts a padlock on my business. They had planned this ahead of time to revoke my permit to do business. This was a charade. This whole meeting was a charade,” said Bangstad.

Oh, no this can't be right.  Republicans would never cancel a businessman!  Republicans would never use weaponized government against a company!  Corporations should never be constrained by government!  It must be pointed out over and over and over and over to get the Normies out there to understand.  Republicans and Rightwingers do not believe anything except power and do not adhere to the any of the principles they ostensibly believe in.

Republicans are immoral, unethical, unprincipled criminals who yearn to use the awesome power of government (at any level they control) to hurt and harm anyone who challenges them or who veers away from the rightwing agenda of hatred, intolerance, oppression, bigotry, and adulation of the rich.

I recall when the Teabagger Movement inspired Racist Limbaugh to brand and market his bottled Limpballs Tea because more than the agitprop, talking points, and lies they spout what rightwing propagandists live for is to take money from their duped followers.  Half of rightwing performative outrage is "grift" the other half is the earnest desire to round-up and murder the Libs.

I always knew that for conservatives the content of the argument was nearly-meaningless, what was more important is the Presentation!  Rand Paul inadvertently admitted this when he made the analogy of the pizza and pizza boxes, by stating Republicans weren't goin to improve their pizza they were merely going to change their pizza box they presented the same old tired rightwing grievances.

Conservative Dad's Ultra Right 100% Woke Free Beer is trying to capitalize on the latest rightwing ginned up freakout.  Remember rightwing media outlets and Republicans have known for a long time that they have to constantly shock their conservative drones with OUTRAGE, to keep them angry and fearful, so that when the rime comes conservatives will support the liquidation of liberals.

But, as we've seen American Conservatives are the softest, smooth-bodied wimps in history.  It's why I don't fear them writ large in overthrowing the US government, though they absolutely want to, their lack of mental toughness and un-athletic softness makes them highly unlikely to mount a Nationwide challenge.  Of course, this won't stop rightwingers from committing Acts of Terror, which they've subjected Americans to in increasing frequency ever since the Obama DoJ warned the Nation about the rising threat of rightwing domestic terrorism.

Fortunately, for us while the 2010-2016 era represented the dying rage filled gasps of Reactionary Boomer Voting Power, elections since 2016 have demonstrated that the Zoomers and younger Millenianls don't want what the Republican Party is selling, which is why Republicans are coming round more and more to the idea of simply not letting the younger voters vote at all.

But, getting back to Weathers' Ultra Right beer, first I'm struck how much his design and name apes Michelob Ultra, so much so, I'm thinking Anheuser-Busch and it's deep legal pockets could file a copyright lawsuit or injunction over that alone.

Next, I don't know the brewing techniques or tradition Weathers is using for his Own the Libs Unwoke Beer, but, by its' description it sounds like a trad light lager, which while still dominating the market in aggregate has not been the go to for beer drinkers ever since President Jimmy Carter deregulated home brewing of beer and absolutely sparked the Craft Beer explosion and golden age of beers we currently enjoy.

But, as I pointed the quality of the beer hardly matters for whom Weathers is ostensibly selling this too.  Rightwingers are absolutely wedded to the idea of performative display of Assholishness (call it Reverse Virtue Signaling) 

But, the other thing about this one minute ad by Seth Weathers is how overtly homo-erotic it is.  I mean, I  can guess the thought process of invoking baseball because it's April and MLB just started as well as the connection between drinking beer while watching a ballgame (or while playing softball) But... He's sauntering around with his "big stick" in his hands and when he knocks that Bud Light can out of the park his swing reveals he's shirtless under the hoodie and it shows his sculpted lower abs (the so-called treasure trail), and finishes with him smacking his lips after quaffing the yellow frothy fluid, "Tastes like Freedom".
