Joe Miller's DropZone Oathbreakers

The Oathkeepers are a group of various former and active duty Military members and Law Enforcement officers who jumped into political forefront last year along with the Teabaggers.

They crafted Youtube manifestos, propounded their Tenets at Teabagger Rallies and issued a Code of Conduct including a list of Ten Orders they will not Obey!

Among the Ten Orders is:

10. We will NOT obey any orders which infringe on the right of the people to free speech, to peaceably assemble, and to petition their government for a redress of grievances.

The Oathkeepers emerged because one of the first smears against President Obama from Glenn Beck, Michele Bachmann, Paul Broun and the Republican Party was that the US Military would be used for operations on American soil. Well lo and behold, Joe Miller, employed Active Duty Military members to unlawfully detain a US citizen.

While, I don't think they violated his 4th Amendment Rights, they did violate his 1st Amendment Rights and most states have laws against unlawful detention. In Illinois it's called Unlawful Restraint and it's a felony:

(720 ILCS 5/10‑3)
Sec. 10‑3. Unlawful restraint.
(a) A person commits the offense of unlawful restraint when he or she knowingly without legal authority detains another.
(b) Sentence. Unlawful restraint is a Class 4 felony.

I don't know what legal authority DropZone has but, this incident is worthy of an investigation and following that possibly charges against Miller's DropZone agents and Miller himself if he gave instructions to seize anyone whose questions he didn't like.

Republicans are transparent. Republicans and Conservatives know that if given power they will abuse it to it's fullest and use it to enrich themselves through greed, graft and avarice. And Republicans being evil can not imagine anyone else put into a position of power would behave any differently than themselves.

You know who are happy about Obama's Afghanistan War

Lost amongst the Obama Afghanistan War Surge was the tacit and quickly ignored conclusive proof that President Bush purposely allowed OBL to escape from Tora Bora.

The Senate Committee on Foreign Relations finally got around to telling America that President Bush ordered the US Military to allow his buddy Osama Bin Laden to get away. I don't know if John Kerry got a copy of Kill Bin Laden by Dalton Fury but the Senate Report references Fury's book extensively.

But, this is okay to the Terrorist Teabaggers and to their REMFpublican Fondlers, who don't care about and hate Americans, for wars make them big profits and win them elections. Therefore, the conclusion is easy; President Bush is a traitor who forced his way into operational decision making and stopped America's Special Forces from killing Bin Laden because Bush needed the specter of UBL to scare Americans win elections and use the power of the Federal Government to channel Trillions of Dollars to his handlers and controllers.

As to Obama's acceptance of more war... There is a difference between starting 4GW Wars of Choice like Bush/Cheney did and inheriting the cluster fuck of guerilla wars from Republican Chicken Hawk Cowards but I had hoped for more from President Obama than to be subsumed into the Pentagon's Warmongering Military Industrial Complex.

Hillary Clinton has always been a warmonger, ready to use the military for National Interests but I thought National Security Advisor and Former USMC Commandant James Jones skepticism may have carried the day and convinced Obama to not escalate but begin the draw down and exit.

Jones explained: "You can keep on putting troops in, and you could have 200,000 troops there and Afghanistan will swallow them up as it has done in the past. We need a better plan with the allies to gradually turn over responsibility for the country to Afghan institutions and organizations in as short a time as possible."

But, besides the REMFpublicans and the Neo-Con Warmongers the other group which is extremely happy about expanded War in and around Afghanistan are: The Fucking Mercenaries... Afghanistan is big business for DynCorp.

"We expect to see relatively steady growth in our business in Afghanistan largely because we have a pretty broad portfolio of services at work in the country today," DynCorp Chief Executive Bill Ballhaus said

So those who profit off of Death and Destruction continue to use America and when it comes to Using the Troops and kowtowing to the MIC it doesn't matter who's President.

Whine-The-War

Well, a blog called Win-The-War has been garnering much of my attention lately. The writer of said blog is very much interested in winning the war. Unfortunately, he does not react very well to being asked if he will consider joining the Super Important Generational War on Terror.

Asking the 'do you plan to enlist' question is sure to get one banned from his site, consequently I am now banned. However, prior to my banning I also asked several other questions which I believed were salient to his quest.

These questions ranged from tactical scenarios to overall strategic goals:

Do you feel the 500 billion spent in Iraq has been well allocated? What about the other 2.5 TRILLION spent by the DoD in the last 6 years? Could this money have been better spent?

Do you feel agencies such as Blackwater, Triple Canopy, and DynCorp add to the security of Americans in Iraq or hinder them? Do you feel it is proper for men working for those agencies to make 150K to 180K during their deployment while a US soldier makes 1/5th to 1/6th that
amount?

Do you feel the spending of that money on Los Angeles class attack subs and DDG Destroyers is the best way to fight the generational War on Terror?

Do you feel increasing airstrikes "In the first 4 1/2 months of 2007, American aircraft dropped 237 bombs and missiles in support of ground forces in Iraq, already surpassing the 229 expended in all of 2006, according to Air Force figures obtained by The Associated Press," is going to gain us allies amongst the Iraqi populace?

Do you think it is fair that marines and soldiers should have multiple deployments into Iraq? Is this just the price of serving one's country?

Do you think military operations can eliminate guerrilla presence in the next 2 years in Iraq? If yes to this one, what historical guerrilla war do you base this upon? The Boer War, the Malaysia Insurrection, the Spanish Guerrilla War against Napoleon, the war in Sri Lanka, The Philippine Insurrection, Vietnam?

To whom does the decision to leave Iraq rest? The President, Congress, the American People, none of the above?

I don't expect any real replies to my queries. Mr Win-The-War, like so many others, is not interested in the truth of war. And like so many others all he can do is rage and shout, "We must defeat the Terrorists!" but never at the risk to themselves or their family members or the reducing of their own base desires.

And that is the real sorrow, so many are unwilling to think and are unwilling to face the consequences of their decisions and instead allow the Glorious Leadership to do their thinking for them. And when Bush proclaims the latest banal platitude, The Warmongers intone it as their latest mantra...
