More than 20 years ago, one of my early FTO told me don't piss in school parking lots when you're on patrol because there will be cameras... Until the identity of these masked men is revealed my contention remains they are not sworn Law Enforcement and Stephen Miller, Tom Homan, et al hit upon the idea of not having sworn Officers in order to avoid Constitutional Protections. To wit Head Like a Thumb Tom Homan spoke on Fox & Friends declaring ICE to be able to break the 4th Amendment as they saw fit;
"Look, people need to understand, ICE officers and Border Patrol don’t need probable cause to walk up to somebody, briefly detain them, and question them."
Or piss outside in the schoolyard! ICE Agents will ignore the plain language of the 4th Amendment, as well as, ignoring repeated SCTOUS decisions concerning Terry Stops and simply pick out brown people for arrest. Homan went on to declare this will be based on physical appearance, occupation, and location. Most news stories about Homan's unconstitutional comments omit the reference to Home Depot. And why does Homan mention Home Depot because hispanic laborers do construction and landscaping (as well as a lot of Eastern European immigrants but, ICE isn't grabbing them now are they?) which is work which young white men and Republicans won't, can't, and don't do.
This is all because White People have been stewing in Reactionary agitprop for decades and Republicans decided 2020 was the greatest disaster to every befall white people (the only people every discriminated against) and they will have their Revenge in this Life or the Next.
ICE is going to be an enormous problem for the United States going forward. By expanding it fifty-fold with this new Bullshit Reactionary Budget, Trump and the Republicans are going to create an internal Paramilitary Army. And I believe on purpose. Because, any attempts by Democrats to curtail ICE (or god-forbid disband ICE) is going to be met with the implicit and probably explicit threat of creating a Freikorps of even angrier armed violent white men who will need very little encouragement from Faux News, Ben Shapiro, and Alex Jones to overthrow any Democratic President or Congress.
Besides the historical parallels of the Roman Empire's Praetorian Guard or the Post-WW1 disaffected German military; this partially what happened in Iraq, when the Coalition Provisional Authority first official order for the de-Ba'athification of the Nation was disbanding the Army and firing all senior Iraqi officials. This immediately created a force of disgruntled and now impoverished men with at least some military training and access to mines, bombs, and other weapons. Hence, the Insurgency began which accounted for the majority of the deaths and injuries of U.S. service members.
Going forward, the United States will simply slide more towards an un-democratic Nation until as I said the white peoples fascist fever breaks or the Nation does.
