Like all people, time catches up with us eventually.  Last night, in a speech from the Resolute Desk President Joe Biden admitted that time has caught up to him.  And President Biden will not risk this Nation's future by trying to defeat time.

Joe Biden's legacy will be as one of the greatest Presidency's in American History.  Joe Biden staved off Fascism in 2020 and then accomplished more than in his One-Term than most Presidents have done or tried to do.

All the while facing an extremely hostile Press and a committed Domestic Terrorist Organization who have infiltrated the United States Government.  And during these last four years, Biden has remained a portrait in decency, character, compassion, duty, excellence, strength, and honor.

But, doing so also took a toll upon him.  President Biden is 81 years old and when you couple the wear of the Presidency, with the venom and underhanded Republican attempts to undermine this President, this Nation, this Republic it makes his time in Office even more impressive, though it drained his strength.

Joe Biden came to understand no matter what his record of achievements, no matter how he felt personally about his ability to continue, the Press aided by the despicable Republican turncoats would do everything in their considerable power to defeat him and usher in an Era of Fundamentalist Fascism.

Joe warned us this is an inflection point,

America is an idea. An idea is stronger than any army, bigger than any ocean, more powerful than any dictator or tyrant.

It’s the most powerful idea in the history of the world. That idea is that we hold these truths to be self-evident. We’re all created equal, endowed by our creator with certain inalienable rights: life, liberty, the pursuit of happiness.

We’ve never fully lived up to it, to this sacred idea, but we’ve never walked away from it either, and I do not believe the American people will walk away from it now.

President Biden's actions, over this past week, stand in stark contrast to Traitor Trump, who when faced with the loss of power, incited an insurrection, and had a mob of conservative criminals descend upon the Capitol with the intent of disrupting and stopping the peaceful transfer of power.  It can never be repeated enough Trump betrayed his Oath of Office after losing a fair and free Election and tried to Overthrow the United States Government.  Trump lost and Trump lied.

Since the rightwing domestic terrorist attack of January 6th, led by Trump and several elected Republicans, the Republican Party have relentlessly undermined the Nation, lied about the 2020 election, sided with vile Foreign Dictators and belligerent war criminals, and worked to overthrow the American Democratic Republic.

So, while we owe Joe Biden an immense debt of gratitude in halting the Fat Fascist Fuck Trump in 2020, We, the People, also owe it to him, to grasp the torch of Liberty and fight for this Nation.  We can not allow Donald Trump and his Project 2025 Nazis into the White House because they will destroy this Nation;  physically and spiritually.  It's not hyperbole as Republicans and Conservatives alike, across this Nation, proudly shout and document their goal to utterly destroy the United States of America.

Now, we are the precipice of a Great election testing whether this Nation can so endure.  Republicans want to make 2024 the last election in American history, Kamala Harris wants to carry aloft the torch passed from Joe Biden and continue to strive to make this a more perfect Union.

The choice is as clear as it is dire;  the duty and self-sacrifice of Joe Biden vs. the self-enrichment and destruction of Traitor Trump.

It hasn't even been a month since the Sinister Six Injustices of The Supremacist Court determined their bigoted fanatical religious beliefs trump the right to privacy, medical care, life and liberty of Americans but, while the "ink isn't even dry" conservatives are rapidly trying to muddy the legislative water and proclaim the plain meaning of the anti-abortion black letter law they've passed in numerous states doesn't actually mean what it clearly means.

To wit: Republicans will use the full power of the government to enact a Nationwide complete and total ban on all Abortions.  Until then expect

a lot of disingenuous statements and outright lying by Republicans for the next 4 months as the right tries to diminish the pushback in 2022 and minimize any potential electoral defeats.  After the election Rape-pubicans will make outlawing medical procedures for Women and interstate travel for women their priorities, and pass all sorts of coercive, invasive, and destructive "laws" possible to curtail Abortion 100%.  Whatever happens to the women impacted by these draconian measures is immaterial and I don't mean just medical care for pregnancy as these immoral and illegal laws passed by Rape-publicans are harming women seeking care for other medical issues.

Over the July 4th weekend, before Trump loving Republican Bobby Crimo murdered people, stubby pustule Peter Breen was chortling through an interview on WBEZ weekend edition.

Breen, a former Illinois Republican state Representative, was asked about women crossing state boundaries to pursue needed medical care.  You see under the Privileges and Immunities clause of the Constitution and nearly 200 years of established precedence case law, the ability to travel between states can not be infringed.  

Breen laughed and said his organization, the Chicago-based Thomas More Dead Women Society was working on bringing up possible challenges to make it to the Sinister Six Injustices of the US Supremacist Court.  You see, Breen replied, it's all about how you frame the issue.  Simply declare that juveniles can not be brought across state lines for illegal purposes and et voila you can now restrict the freedom of movement for women through the power of government.  Imagine DUI checkpoints repurposed for pregnancy checks at state borders for all women in cars.  Or requiring recent negative blood tests before being able to book a plane ticket.  Crotch sniffing K-9 Officers trained to smell menstrual blood stationed by trains at Ogilvie and Union Station in Chicago.

One of the most glib, galling, and insulting techniques conservatives adopted was the appropriation fo the name of some historical figure whom as the avatar of their bigoted group.  The Susan B. Anthony rightwing anti-abortion group, for instance.  Thomas More has nothing to do with US Law and his stupid 16th century book Utopia would be a far more dour, drab, and dull communist Nation than ever created in world history.  But, dumb ass conservatives don't know anything about Thomas More other than the wretched 1968 film Man for All Seasons, so Breen and other Fundigelical wackos claim his historical gravitas for themselves. 

Republicans are going to use the full coercive force and punitive power of Government, at all levels, to control, punish and dominate women.  Conservatives hate women and will do everything in their power to reduce women to nothing but birthing slaves as they continue to lay the foundation for the Fascist Fundamentalist Racist Slave Nation.  The reality is given enough political power and ignoring all pushback, Rape-publicans will outlaw all Abortions in all Circumstances and if it kills a woman or a little girl then that's it.

Arizona's Gay Jim Crow Law and other States efforts are about using religion to enforce Bigotry

"Freedom of religion doesn’t mean freedom from religion." - Rick Perry, current Governor of Texas, 2012 Republican Presidential Primary Candidate and 2016 Presidential Hopeful. 

"I think this administration has a very narrow view of the First Amendment, that first freedom, the freedom of religion. I think they see religious freedom as fine with it as long as it’s in the four walls of a church. But if it comes into workplace, the marketplace, if it comes into the public square, it’s not welcome." Family Research Council Tony Perkins complained in 2013. Of course, this is entirely correct, what you do in your church or home is fine but, forcing your religion onto someone in the public arena is not welcome or lawful.

Homosexuality is an abomination before GOD and man.  The Bible states this in plain English! - (emphasis as in the original) standard comment by a conservative in response to the pushback of right-wing efforts to get Discrimination codified into law as well as, highlighting Tea Party ignorance.

I wasn't going to address the Arizona Gay Jim Crow Law, but after Jan Brewer vetoed the bill the Right-Wing Wurlitzer of Outrage kicked into gear.

Ben Shapiro, the inheritor of Breitbart's Empire of Lies and Bigotry, wrote indecipherable tweets which all culminated in a cry of Fascism.

Racist Limpbaugh blathered something or other about bullying on his odious radio program. Bryan Fischer and other rabid right-wingers complained of the "Homo-Fascism" using the power of government to make the faithful engage in sin. The conservative reaction is predictable because these bills speak to the very core of what it means to be a Conservative.

Judson Phillips, of Tea Party Nation, warned of the incoming tyranny of Penis cakes. But, Judson did hit upon the key issue at play;

The issue can be boiled down to one word: Freedom.
A free man or woman controls their labor. A slave has no control over their labor. A free man or woman decides who they will work for and under what conditions. The slave cannot.

The Arizona SB1062 Law along with the other legislation proposed by rabid Right-Wing Legislatures are fundamental extensions of two core components of conservative ideology; Oppression and Intolerance. While also being tangentially related to the third core component, Adulation of the Rich.

These laws are very much about Freedom. They are designed to give conservatives the freedom to impose their religious beliefs on you, while also granting them the freedom to openly discriminate while operating in the public sphere.

But, they don't want you to know that's what their doing so they couch their bigotry under the guise of religious liberty.

These laws are backed by the same people that want to give business owners the ability to decide what medical care you are allowed to receive and how you spend your earned wages.

Recall they made the same bogus "religious liberty" argument during their evil struggle against the PPACA. So, if a Business Owner doesn't believe in blood transfusions or antibiotics because of his sincere religious beliefs conservatives want to give them the right to deny you that medical coverage. If a Business Owner doesn't consume pork, conservatives want to give them the right to ensure you aren't spending your wages on bacon.

Because conservatives believe in and want a return to Slavery. Republican voters are comprised of Bigots and Billionaires, Misogynists and Millionaires so Corporate Bondage and Oppression brought about by the awesome power of government euphemistically crouched under the guise of religious liberty suits both demographics.

Of course, the only reason Brewer vetoed this law and Republicans in Arizona began to back-track was financial. Apple and several other businesses voiced concerns over doing business in Arizona and the NFL not so discretely implied the 2015 Super Bowl would be moved from Arizona if the law was adopted.

So, Conservatives are inadvertently being honest when they claim this issue is actually about Freedom. Conservatives hate Freedom and what they seek is nothing less than an abolition of Freedom, Democracy and Liberty and an enshrinement of the Ultra-Reactionary Neo-Feudalist Wage Slavery State.

Conservatives are False Patriots who hate Real Freedom and True Liberty

Like cafeteria patrons they pick and choose from their narrow bigoted idea of Freedom and then seek to subjugate and oppress other Americans who do things they don't like.

An Identification card is not required to live in America. It just isn't; no matter how much the right wants to belabor the facts and bring up non-arguments like air travel and bank accounts. Identification cards are nowhere to be found in the Constitution and have always been ruled as unnecessary for day-to-day life but, are part and parcel of autocratic regimes who wish to subjugate their citizens.

So, conservatives hype a fake problem, Voter Fraud, because their true intention is to restrict the liberty of Americans voting in ways they don't like.

Conservatives hype the threat of muslim extremists and terror attacks while ignoring the massive damage caused by Corporations. Many of which owe no allegiance to the United States.

Al Qaeda could only have dreamed of causing the damage BP did to the Gulf. Freedom Industries poisoned the entire water supply for 300,000 Americans in West Virginia an incident akin to a plot device in a Tom Clancy novel. But, the gall to file for Bankruptcy protection to avoid financial responsibility while, obscuring the true depth of the toxic spill speaks to their comfort in their corporate criminality. Because they knew they could count on Speaker John Boehner crying to the Media to blame that Too Much Regulation and... President Obama were to blame.

Freedom Industries wasn't the only Corporation to pollute with reckless abandon. I've written before about the dumping of petcoke all over the poor residents of Detroit and Chicago by the Koch Brothers. But, during the Republican Government Shutdown, Tesoro Logistics spilled 20,000 barrels of shale oil in North Dakota.

The amount of oil spilled in the U.S. in 2013 surpassed the last four decades combined;

Altogether, 800,000 gallons spilled from US railroads in the years from 1975 to 2010. That data, which comes from the Pipeline and Hazardous Material Safety Administration, does not include records of Canadian spills, some of which are thought to surpass one million gallons spilled on their own. 

In part because of major derailments in Alabama and North Dakota, over 1.15 million gallons of crude oil seeped from train cars.

Why? Because fuck regulations that's why. Because conservatives are so duped/ignorant/uncaring that when Republicans say Regulations are bad and liberals like regulations... You don't want to be a liberal? Do you? Liberty-loving conservatives bristle and swell up with false ideals of freedom ignoring the clear and present danger Corporations pose to all Americans.

But, lest one think conservatives are only false patriots when it comes to large macro issues fear not! Conservatives hate freedom and personal liberty of Americans even after your death.

In Texas, there is the case of a woman, Marlise Munoz, who passed away two months ago and who has detailed end-of-life instructions if she is in an inoperative brain dead state. But, her rights and wishes are nothing to conservatives because she is pregnant and conservatives view women as nothing more than husks for growing the next generation of conservatives. Her corpse is being re-animated to be an incubation chamber for a "distinctly abnormal" fetus which is months away from being viable and which is expressly against the wishes of herself, her husband and her family.

This is an extreme example, no doubt, but conservatives love extremism because it helps them in their goals to restrict the liberty and freedom of Americans who do things conservatives don't like.

Conservatives really, really, really hate Sexual Freedom for Americans. They have undertaken a decades long war on Americans, which continues today, in order to dominate and dictate what consenting adults can and can not do.

Conservatives main two targets have been women and homosexuals (as the Duck Dynasty Grifter Bigot episode showed) but, their goal is oppression of All Americans. But, they've been having setbacks as over the last decade oppressive conservative laws have been struck down by the Courts (esp. the 2003 SCOTUS case of Lawerence v. Texas)and legislatures have passed laws mandating equality and liberty for Americans who conservatives don't like.

Mike Huckabee, Faux News luminary, former Governor of Arkansas, and 2016 Presidential hopeful declared conservatives want to give Women freedom from their "libido" by restricting their access to birth control.

"[T]he Democrats want to insult the women of America by making them believe that they are helpless without Uncle Sugar coming in and providing or them a prescription each month for birth control."

Huckabee suffered from a mental linguistic error combining the terms 'Uncle Sam' and 'Sugar Daddy' resulting in the portmanteua of "Uncle Sugar". Of course, his comments aren't directed at winning over Women but, telling conservatives they are right to Oppress and Subjugate Americans for their sluttly ways.

And when that fails they fall back on the 1st Amendment and complain that "their" religious liberty is being harmed.

What conservatives mean when they cry about their religious liberty is the Freedom to Oppress and Subjugate other Americans who are engaging in activities they don't like. The Religious Freedom conservatives want is the freedom to impose their beliefs onto others.

The 1st Amendment is not an edict for right-wing religious supremacy and with the Government enforcing an Evangelical Inquisition, but that is precisely what Conservatives want.

And then when all their legal rigamarole fails, all their electoral shenanigans are unmasked conservatives implicitly and sometimes explicity indicate they will use the 2nd Amendment to advance their goals of Oppression and Subjugation.

Conservatism is Terrorism.

There is No Freedom from Rick Santorum's Religion

Rick Santorum has unleashed his thoughts upon America and they are frightening. Santorum is the latest of the Dominionist Warriors seeking to impose their christian theocracy on America.

What kind of Nation would America be if Santorum had the office of the Presidency?

His ideology is profoundly anti-human. I can't even engage in sarcastic ridicule of his beliefs because they are so abhorrent. Santorum's obsession with the sexual lives and habits of people he doesn't know, like all conservatives, shows the warped and perverted mind of a sexual predator who seeks to control, dominate or hurt people he doesn't understand.

Santorum is very afraid of "the dangers of contraception in this country." Birth control allows people to do... things... "It’s not okay. It’s a license to do things in a sexual realm that is counter to how things are supposed to be." Rick Santorum knows what's best you in the bedroom, Va-va-va-voom!

Santorum is very, very scared of Higher Education. Harkening back to the pious Medevial clerics Santorum believes learnin' lessens belief in god. "President Obama once said he wants everybody in America to go to college. What a snob! Education and the promotion of it makes President Obama a "snob". So, therefore since Rick has three college degrees — a B.A. from Penn State, an MBA from the University of Pittsburgh and a J.D. from The Dickinson School of Law - He's a Triple Snob or a Giant Hypocrite.

"I don’t believe in an America where the separation of Church and state is absolute. The idea that the Church can have no influence and no involvement in the operation of the state is absolutely antithetical to the objectives and vision of our country. This is the First Amendment. The First Amendment says the free exercise of religion." Santorum's interpertation of the 1st Amendment is the direct opposite of it's stated mandate.

Santorum repeatedly stated JFK's speech on the Seperation of Church and State, "makes him want to vomit". President Santorum would have had Thomas Jefferson pilloried for his 1802 letter to the Danbury Baptists, "the whole American people which declared that their legislature should 'make no law respecting an establishment of religion, prohibiting the free exercise thereof,' thus building a wall of separation between church and State."

And John Adams would have been stoned under the direction of President Santorum for signing the Treaty of Tripoli, in 1797 stating, As the Government of the United States of America is not, in any sense, founded on the Christian religion.

No doubt George Washington would have been immolated for arising and leaving church when the the administration of the communion took place.

Santorum believes the 1st Amendment exists to aid him and his christian fascist brethren in their attempts to oppress and dominate people. It is in line with Right-Wing Dominionist thinking. According to Right-Wingers there is only Freedom of Religion in America there is no Freedom from Religion.

Conservatives version of Religious liberty is where they are free to curtail the activities and lives of other Americans because they find something objectionable. This is in line with the Republicans turning the US Congress into the Polish Sejm.

The Golden Freedom, which the magnates defended with every bit of chicanery and power they commanded, was the freedom of the few to oppress the many... ~ James A. Michener's, Poland.

But, as evil as Santorum is and as awful a place America would be with a High Inquisitor Santorum regulating your personal lives, the scarier realization is that when Santorum wins the Republican nomination 45% of registered voters will vote for him in the general election.

Have you heard the Good News though? 45% of registered voters translates to roughly 40 million votes or roughly 13%. The same percentage Mitt Romney pays in taxes and the same percentage that would vote for the Vulture in the general election.

Right-Wingers Birth Control Crusade is about telling you what to do

When it comes to Birth Control who knows better than a panel of angry, offensive, pasty-faced, old white male virgins!

This has always been about Unequal Protection under the law. The Catholic Church or the unelected minuscule council of Catholic Bigots err... Bishops doesn't have more rights than an American individual.

Right-Wingers are hammering on about this being a religious liberty issue. It partially is. The Totalitarian Right are supporting the trampling of an individual's rights by proclaiming an institution may prohibit covering contraception via their healthcare coverage and that the church can dictate to a private insurance company not cover it either.

While the Catholic church and afflilated organizations may bargain new coverage plans with insurance providers the whole point is if any institution is providing healthcare coverage as part of the benefit compensation for their workers they don't get to dictate the terms of how the person uses that coverage.

It's one step away from catholic church or right-wing bigots saying, 'Your salary can't be used to purchase things we dislike.'

Your employer does not have the power to tell you that your money can not be used to buy condoms or cigars or fluorescent light bulbs or wine or foie gras or to make a donation to Doctors Without Borders or the DCCC.

It's not their right* to tell you what you can and can not buy.

It's amazing that the Right-Wingers who constantly proclaim themselves the champions of freedom are firmly siding with a group specifically saying they want to restrict people's freedom.

Conservative Agent Provocateurs at work to destroy OccupyAmerica

Lying in the defense of Power is always acceptable. Being an Agent Provocateur is a ticket into the lower circles of wealth and privilege, just ask convicted criminal and serial video fabricator James O'Keefe.

In just a few short weeks smearing the OccupyAmericaRevolution has become cause célèbre of the ass-kissing Rich Sycophantic conservatives.

Patrick Howley of The American Spectator was leading the charge to attack the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum. Read the whole piece with photographic evidence over at Firedoglake. Howley wrote up the encounter himself over at the American Spectator site, but even though Howley changed the story from what he first wrote, what he left up is still incredibly damning:

But as as anyone knew I was part of this cause — a cause that I had infiltrated the day before in order to mock and undermine in the pages of The American Spectator — and I wasn’t giving up before I had my story. Under a cloud of pepper spray I forced myself into the doors.

I forced myself into the doors and sprinted blindly across the floor of the Air and Space Museum, drawing the attention of hundreds of stunned khaki-clad tourists (some of whom began snapping off disposable-camera portraits of me).

Yep, when the evidence doesn't fit the narrative, just make it up or create it for yourself! A hallmark of the Rightwing Servants and Guardians of the Rich... And of course, the poster child of conservative Lies, Lies and Videotape James O'Keefe took at stroll through the Occupy Wall Street protest hoping to get beat up or something?

These despicable actions are with one goal in mind, to undermine the Revolution and continue the ghastly Neo-Feudalist March towards Wage Slavery the Rich are imposing on America. Remember what American Spectator Bill Zeiser said himself "I guess I am the enemy after all."

Joe Barton was right, he doesn't want to live in a country where a corporation that does something legitimately wrong are punished for it*. Republicans believe laws, responsibility for one's actions and repercussions are for the "little people" and they want to ensure Main Street Americans remain impoverished and enslaved.

Republicans at the behest of their Corporate Kleptocratic Masters have employed a Three-Pronged attack on American Labor and the Middle Class for the last 30 years.

By dismantling the industrial base of the Nation and lowering Tariffs the American Manufacturing sector was eliminated as jobs were shipped to Indonesia and other sweat shop countries where labor laws could be violated and "costs" (i.e. money to workers) could be keep down to one notch above complete slavery.

During this time an old tactic was revved up as more and more first generation immigrants came into the country to undercut and further depress wages of Americans born here while taking over segments of the labor market (landscaping, construction, carpentry, cooking, plumbing for instance) because the immigrant workers will work 14 hours with no benefits.

The other tactic which has served Punk Ass Bitch Republicans for decades is to play off the Middle Class and Poor against one another. Republicans reduce taxes on the wealthy and increase them on the Middle and Working Classes, thereby shifting the burden of aiding the poor onto those just above that poverty line. Republicans then go to those Middle Class people and blame their struggles and budget deficits on the poor and unemployed. To that end Republicans "defeated" the Jobs Bill in the Senate 41-57 by hyping up fears of abuse of unemployment benefits in the bill. The Republicans always blame the Poor and unemployed for every ill in America.

Republicans and the Oil-Soaked, Coal-Mining, Bank-Owning Kleptocrats they serve want to destroy the Middle Class so they can re-exert their control on the Political Power of America.

It has been the blood, sweat and tears of Labor and the Liberals push to expand the franchise and that smidgen of voting power in the hands of the formerly oppressed which has created the American Middle Class and caused the American 20th Century, the greatest expansion and flowering of creation, thought and freedom since the Renaissance.

Ultimately, the goal for The Plutocratic Class is to eliminate the Middle Class and force 95% of the American Workers to compete with a pool of worldwide virtual slave labor. Republican Henchmen act as the defenders and police for their Masters as they strive to return America to a state of Kleptocratic Feudalism.

High court reins in prosecutors' use of fraud law [Washington Post]

The Supreme Court on Thursday sharply curtailed prosecutors' use of an anti-fraud law that was central in convicting politicians and corporate executives in many of the nation's most prominent corruption cases.

What this means is if you're willing to commit fraud do it on a colossal corporate scale because the SCOTUS knows you're a Republican and will ensure you get away with it because crime = IOKIYAR.
