Surprise! Republicans crafted fake Benghazi emails to mislead the American people.

"An Act of Terror is different than a Terrorist Attack," Darrell Issa a Car Thief is not different than a Congressman.

So, the Republicans lied. Republicans released altered and false "quotes" from the White House/CIA/State Department emails concerning Benghazi to the Media.

What did the Republicans gain in purposefully misleading the American people? They gained exactly what they wanted. By releasing their lie-laden chum to the gullible Media the Republicans succeeded in getting their duped and battered followers into an Impeachment Fury and the DC Media into faux scandal frenzy.

Lying Republicans have been smearing President Obama for years now. One of core Right-Wing beliefs is that President Obama isn't really an American and he sides with terrorists.

After the initial murders in Libya, the Republicans sought to use the bodies of the dead to advance their party. Republicans place Party over the American People every time.

With Benghazi, Republicans believed they had just enough to tease out that belief in the country. Because Benghazi is the Biggest Scandal in American History:
"I believe that it's a lot bigger than Watergate, and if you link Watergate and Iran-Contra together and multiply it times maybe ten or so, you're going to get in the zone where Benghazi is," Conrgessman Steve King
Benghazi "is going to go down as the most serious, most egregious coverup in American History. We may be starting to use the I-word before too long," Senator James Inhofe
"I watched the Benghazi thing with great interest, Sean. I think it’s one of the worst incidences, frankly, that I can recall in my career," Former Vice President Dick Cheney.
The Republicans thought they had it. Benghazi would be the October Surprise. But, it didn't work. To their frustration their hatred of President Obama didn't blossom and Barack easily won re-election.

First off, the consulate was a CIA Base conducting dangerous field activity. Republican Congressman Lincoln Chafetz began the Republican crimes by outing the CIA and exposing covert assets, field agents and Intelligent techniques.

Next, came all the keyboard commando chicken hawk conservative Military Ops; 'We should have flown some F-16's overhead to scare them. Or sent an AC-130 to light'em up. Or sent in the SEALS or Marines (to the shores of Tripoli) to take out the extremists, errr I mean terrorists.'

Well, Robert M. Gates former Defense Secretary to both George W. Bush and President Obama called out the right-wing morons and these scenarios as a "Cartoonish impression of military capabilities and military forces." And Gates laid out why:
“Well, given the number of surface to air missiles that have disappeared from Gaddafi’s arsenals, I would not have approved sending an aircraft, a single aircraft – over Benghazi under those circumstances. [T]o send some small number of Special Forces or other troops in without knowing what the environment is, without knowing what the threat is, without having any intelligence in terms of what is actually going on on the ground, I think, would have been very dangerous."
But, why was the Media talking about Benghazi again after Faux News had spent countless hours of programming and after multiple Congressional Hearings?

The phony scandal had floundered Republicans decided the next step was too take matters into their own hands by lying. If the evidence doesn't fit just make it up; Republican Mantra.

Which Republicans knowingly doctored these emails? What Republican released these doctored emails to the Media? What did the Republicans receive in compensation? Which Republicans knew the emails released were phony and full of lies?

What's clear is Republicans long ago convicted President Obama for certain unforgivable sins and when one is convinced of guilt it's very easy to manufacture "evidence" to bolster your conclusions.

So Speaker John Boehner "Who's going to jail for this?" Which of the Republicans who deliberately mislead the American People and released falsified evidence is going to jail?

There are two kinds of people in the country Grunge. There are those of us who saw through the lies back in September and there are those of you who wanted peeBO re elected so badly you wouldn't care if he killed and ate your children.

The talks of impeachment are silly. The same thing that got peeBO elected in the first place will protect him from impeachment; the color of his fathers skin. That is where we are. Deal with it like the rest of us.

No Chicken Hammer there are more than two kinds of people. It's your Manichean worldview which divides the world between good guys (your side) and bad guys.

Please list out "the lies" you saw through in September.

Did you care about the 4 Blackwater Operatives who were killed in Fallujah causing the April and Spetember 2004 sieges? Of course not, because W is on the good side and thus immune from criticism.

You and your type convicted Barack in 2008.

The lies in September were that some obscure YouTube video was the cause of the attack in Benghazi.

Why do you think I'm a Bush supporter. I voted for him because he was the lesser of two evils in 2000 and again in 2004. I would have preferred a real conservative but Bush what we were offered. He spent like a drunken Democrat and it damaged our economy.

As far as convicting peeBO in 2008 you're completely off base. I wish the best for our country and despite seeing the White House and both sides of congress fall into Democrat control I still hoped for the best. What we got is all over the news.

I'm going to let the overpaid political chattering class decide the relevancy of the e-mails, and if the Administrations public response to the Benghazi attack was willful lying or simply amateurish management that resulted in very poor optics....but it was one or the other.

The weaponry and tactics of the 'mob' were quite clearly known even as the attacks were on-going; weaponry and tactics not usually [or ever] seen in a random, video-inspired group of protestors. That and the fact that we informed the Libyan Government prior to the attack that Ansar al-Shariah was operating in the city....and....the fact that the acting Secretary of State for Near Eastern Affairs told the Libyan Ambassador to the US, that Ansar al-Shariah had conducted the attacks. The video meme was clearly incorrect and incoherent from the start.

As for the physical response, during the attack it's a simple matter of logistics. Time + Distance + Fuel = Ability to respond within the known timeline. I'm not arguing that the CSG should not have been convened, nor the FEST deployed, but by the time operators would have arrived, the incident had ended.

We know what the facts are, which is why all the chattering class can do, is argue over the crumbs. The GOP waves the bloody shirt this time, the Democrats wave it for Newtown. Lather, rinse, repeat.

Chicken Hammer

1) So by your own admission you prejudged the incident without any facts except what you got from Breitbart and Faux News.

2) "Why do you think I'm a Bush Supporter?" Why do you think I'm a Bush supporter I just voted for him twice!!! That's awesome, just awesome

And get it right George W(orst President Ever) Bush spent like an Asshole Conservative, in that he spent Trillions and hid in the bathroom when the check came due.

Asshole Conservatives have been doing this for 33 years now, since Asshole Prime Reagan. Run up the bill and let the Middle Class and Poor pay the tab.

But, it's just precious how you Righties blubber 'Oh George Bush wasn't actually Conservative...'

And what Bush did while in Office is preceisely what the 1% wanted done they stole Trillions and got conservatives to blame the Poor.

Let's just get this over first:

"Administrations public response to the Benghazi attack was willful lying or simply amateurish management that resulted in very poor optics....but it was one or the other."

No it wasn't. It was an attempt to inform the American people of what was going on in an extremely confusing situation, which the Republicans have spent eight months lying about, in order to destroy the legally elected President of the United States, now culminating in the forgery of administration e-mails to make them seem guilty. You, ChickenHead, are a lying, treacherous America hater, and you are working to destroy this country as fast as you can.

Now, on to my real point. Jonathon Karl is a product of the same Republican system for generating phony reporters that produced Ann Coulter, Michelle Malkin and James O'Keefe. Despite this, he has been given a place on a national news network, which he has now used to spread the most vicious, traitorous lies about the Obama Administration, in collaboration with the Republicans that are his real employers.

And finally, there are two kinds of people in the country- liars and people that like the truth. You, Chickenhead, are one of the former.

LOL! WaPo Fact Checker gives the doctored emal story Three Pinocchio [Significant factual error and/or obvious contradictions.] score.

Chicken Hammer,

I'm glad you were able to find someone to agree with your predjucied biased fact-free conclusions.

Jonathan Karl regretted the emails were quoted inaccurately but couldn't admit that he helped spread the Right-Wing Benghazi Lies.

[T]hat's not a minor point because the impact of his story was based on his having reviewed them himself rather than relying on a second hand account -- having gotten some summary of them from a tendentious source -- a Republican staffer. The fact that Karl put the non-quotes within quotation marks makes it pretty clear that he was led to believe that he was being given verbatim transcriptions. You never put summaries in quotes.

Green Eagle said...

Sorry, Constitutional Insurgent- I wouldn't want to deny you the ignominy for having said something so misguided.

Now, let me deal with something really said by Chickenhead:

"LOL! WaPo Fact Checker gives the doctored emal story Three Pinocchio"

A perfect example of our miserable mainstream media at work defending the Republicans at every turn. One of the supposedly most trusted media outlets in the country takes an absolutely true statement- that Republicans and their tool Jonathon Karl forged e-mails to make it appear that Obama had done something wrong, and calls it a lie.

If you are laughing about that, Chickenhead, you really are on the side of our nation's enemies.

And one final comment, if I may be allowed. The Republican party has had a program for several decades to cultivate compliant media figures by heavily subsidizing right wing publications at various colleges, and training the lowlife scum who were willing to prostitute themselves by working for them. Among the products of this scheme are Ann Coulter, Michelle Malkin, James O'Keefe and...yes, Jonathon Karl. This man is not a reporter, he is a journalistic Manchurian candidate.

Yes....trying to pin blame on a random mob and a YouTube video, in the face of known insurgent TTPs and kit, might be pretty misguided. If you care about political cover instead of facts.
