Trump (Tower) is a public nuisance and murdered thousands of fish and other aquatic animals in Chicago

Remember Trump and the Republicans vile lies The Haitians are eating the pets are specifically designed to elicit an emotional response from racist incels, xenophobic bigots, and Neo-Nazis who comprise Trump's base.  Trump famously hates animals, especially pet dogs, hence why Kristi Melania Noem murdered hers in order to win his favor, which makes the shoddy AI generated Memes of Trump with animals flooding Twitter (X) all the more disingenuous.

The Three Muskaweirdos

Of course, Twitter (X) isn't Real Life, instead Leon Muck has transformed it into a Nazi playground, a hive of lies and Republican agitprop, which was always his goal when he acquired it.

It's, of course, par for the Gaslighting course that Trump and MAGA traitors would spread such lies when amongst Trump's newest inner circle members is RFK Jr, whose 3 most famous stories recently are decapitating a whale and putting its' head on the roof of the car, killing a bear with his car and staging it in Central Park, and literally eating a dog.

But, in the real world, comes the Court ruling and report out of Chicago concerning the dilapidated and destructive Trump Tower killing thousands of fish and other aquatic animals in the Chicago River,

Trump Tower is a public nuisance that threatens the Chicago River with its cooling-water intake system that illegally sucked in and killed thousands of fish over a number of years, a judge ruled this week.

Illinois Attorney General Kwame Raoul and a pair of environmental organizations had asked Cook County Circuit Judge Thaddeus L. Wilson last year to rule on failures of the building operator to comply with environmental laws.

The building at 401 N. Wabash Ave. operates without a proper state environmental permit, does not accurately report water discharge levels and violates at least three other laws, according to the lawsuit.

Wilson found that those facts are “well founded” and “not materially challenged.”

The judge said in an order Monday that the Trump Tower “has created and continues to create a a public nuisance in violation of Illinois law,” and the intake system operates “in a manner that substantially and unreasonably interferes with the public right to fish and otherwise recreate in the Chicago River.”

Of fucking course Trump's monument to his ego on the Chicago River is an environmental disaster and destructive; everything Trump touches turns to shit and as he tries to steal back into the White House, Trump and his Authoritarian allies in Hungry, North Korea, and Russia see him as the ultimate vehicle to destroy the United States of America. Yet, as always don't expect this to sway or dissuade a single rabid Trump supporter.  In fact, Trump's property materially damaging "Chicago" will be seen as another plus.

Can't Stop Thinking about the Roman Empire...

"You ever hear of Masada? For two years 900 jews held their own against 15,000 Romans.  They choose death over enslavement.  The Romans? Where are they now?

"You're looking at them asshole..."  - The Sopranos (1999)

So, this TikTok phenomenon of Ask Your Man how often he Thinks about the Roman Empire is super irritating...

Now, I know in Internet time I'm very late to this "issue".  But, the Roman Empire isn't going anywhere...

I guess part of this is the feeling I want to have that I was into Rome before it was cool (kind of like the phenomenon of liking a band before they were big) but, of course that's not in anyway reality.

The Roman Empire has been forefront in the minds of Europeans since Odoacer was named Rex of Italiae in 476.  And of course, Charlemagne thought of nothing but the Romena Empire before and after his coronation as Emperor in 800.  William Shakespeare (if you believe Shaxkspere wrote Shakespear) wrote 4 plays about "The Roman Empire",

And Edward Gibbon's 6 volume Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire is as old as the United States.

There have also been famous novels turned into films or series, such as Quo Vadis by Polish Nobel Laureate Henryk Sienkiewicz and Robert Graves' I, Claudius and Claudius the God.

And then there is The Film Industry, in Hollywood and abroad, which has been making films and TV series about Rome and the Roman Empire for over 100 years.  Certainly many of them are biblical in nature, Ben-Hur or The Robe starring Vic Mature come to mind.  Of course, modern revamped interest in Rome writ large probably stems from the Russell Crowe/Ridley Scott film Gladiator in 2000.

New Speaker Mike Johnson can't stop thinking about all the Gay Sex those virile muscular Roman sword swishing gladiators were engaged in.  But, it seems that the current fascination with "Rome" per se is this toxic masculinity nonsense associated with this Hard Times paradigm.

And this whole stupid Hard Times meme featuring a silhouetted faux hoplite is nothing more than a dumbed-down bastardization of the Polybius cycle of government.  and reminds me of all the stupid incels and men going their own way posting I Studied the Blade memes and We Hunted the Mammoth rhetoric.

I guess Chuck Palahniuk was 20 years too early with Fight Club...
