  I've known for decades Republicans look at veterans and active duty service members as nothing more than RISK pieces and props in their agenda.  Traitor trump et al don't give a shit about "the troops" and have engaged in the most egregious and disrespectful behavior and gotten away with it for years.

I naively though when Traitor trump desecrated Arlington National Cemetery he'd face backlash.  I naively thought when he thought he deserved a Purple Heart and wanted to award himself a Congressional Medal of Honor, this would cost him electoral support and finally force the media to call out draft-dodging liar trump about his Stolen Valor.

But, I was wrong.  Republicans don't give a rat's hind tit about service members and enjoy shamelessly shitting on them because they know their servile Corporate Media allies, will excuse, defend, or deny Republicans have dishonored the troops.  Instead the Corporate Media continually ignores what Republicans do and instead highlights what Republicans say, even while Republicans enact legislation to harm military members, or slash VA benefits, or start a growing conflict on the nothing more than the delusions of syphilitic madman and his cadre of criminal co-conspirators.

So, it shouldn't come as no surprise trump and Hegseth lied and claimed fallen service members families came to them crying for them to "finish the job".

And it certainly looks like, the treasonous Republican Party is planning on an amphibious landing on Kharg Island.  The War Powers Resolution of 1973 gives trump another 40 days before Congress has to explicitly declare War or otherwise grant authorization for continued military action.  But, Republicans in Congress have no intention of putting the Iran War to a vote, as they continue to declare it's not a war!

I've wondered why the corporate media seems adamant to not criticize Traitor trump,  Drunken Pete Hagueseth, and all the other mouthpieces of war who have launched this wholly untenable and grotesque joke of a war.  Frighteningly, it appears obvious with his macho bravado and religious incantations that Whiskey Pete Hegseth believes this could be the Apocalypse and he is instrumental in bringing about the Rapture.

However, Kaitlin Collins finally gave us an answer to why the Corporate Media seemingly loves trump; he is always readily accessible to them,

President Joe Biden was not.  So, in response the Corporate Media decided to destroy Joe Biden and do everything possible to soften, support, and succor Donald trump.  It's absurd and it's obscene.

Look, Jake Tapper was so aggrieved, so angry his entitled position as a Courtier wasn't being acknowledged, he wrote an entire book attacking Joe Biden and his cabinet.  But, the elite media anger at Joe Biden started well before this.  President Biden spoke truthfully throughout his career and these truthful statements, like how Republicans want to put black people back into chains was treated by the press as another "Gaff" and a shocking breach of decorum.  Of course, it has the absolute defense of being truthful.

But, when Joe Biden dared to end the Afghanistan occupation, after 20 worthless years, every journalist from Dick Engel to Lara Logan who had basked in their two decades of being the go-to journalists for War reporting coverage conspired with elite media outlets who hadn't covered Afghanistan in years to declare the pull-out was somehow the biggest debacle in US history.  (Whether the media was riffing off of trump or trump picked up on the media attacks and repeated them I leave up to you to decide). The Media destroyed Biden for ending a War and have done nothing but slavishly praise trump for starting a War, with not only less than a cohesive plan but, with scant thought to anything past day one.

It's so incredibly obvious Traitor trump thought he'd pull off another Venezuelan operation; mass a bunch of naval assets nearby and then eliminate the Iranian leader, after which in rapid succession; the Theocratic State would collapse, he'd get to pick a successor (in this case the Son of the infamous Shah of Iran), and he'd have pulled off the coup which evaded Ronnie Raygun.    

Now, that reality has set in he and his lackeys are lashing out.

“This has been a dominant victory the likes of which we haven't seen in modern American military history.  We certainly welcome, encourage, and even demand their participation to help their own economies.” Mike Waltz told CNN.  

This Victory in Iran has been so great we need everyone else's Navy.  Waltz is one of those insane insular Special Forces weirdoes who spent his career huffing his own farts and engaged in years of rhythmic navel gazing until he turned his brain into mush. 

Again the fact that the 31st MEU had to be called upon to leave their forward operating area in Okinawa, as opposed to having planned by having some others MAGTF ready before-hand is just another illustration of the incompetence and ridiculous stupidity of this administration.  As is the apparent political decision to ignore decades of military understanding of Iran and the Strait of Hormuz and simply believe Iran will not close one of the most important shipping lanes in the world.

Of course, that doesn't stop these treasonous mouthpieces of war going on every Sunday political talk show to demand other Nations stabilize and protect the Strait of Hormuz (of course the elite corporate media readily embraces these Republican fascists)

And yet no one in the media dare call this an unmitigated disaster, a constitutional crisis, an impeachable offense, a monstrous catastrophe.  An end to his Presidency.  Because if they do trump cuts off their precious access, calls them names, and threatens to sic the FCC on them.

Meanwhile, there is absolutely no coherent plan by the US, trump and Hagueseth are going to keep bombing and keep calling it victory, as they and the right have been doing for 2 weeks now. 

Unfortunately, Iran has every reason to continue this conflict, to widen this conflict, to exact and enact as much damage on US and the global economy through shutting down the Strait of Hormuz and continuing to shoot off as many drones, missiles, and rockets as they can acquire from Russia and China;  especially as the US and allies interceptor batteries are depleted and blown up.  Whether this means trump eventually has to expand the war and invade will be seen.

It's why for the past two weeks, various Republicans including Traitor trump have repeatedly declared the Iran War over.  Why not?  It gets them headlines and positive reaction from the markets and oil futures.  Just keep declaring victory and white people will say "we've" won, and when reality says differently it must have been those dastardly sexy trans-persons who cost our election by stabbing us in the back...

Republican realpolitik has focused on Eternal Now for decades now.  The Eternal Now means Republicans never have to worry about what they have said or did in the past.  It's about winning today, forgetting yesterday, and not worrying about tomorrow.

Republicans didn't care about ending Roe v. Wade, because they knew they'd suffer no political backlash because by the time the next election came along the voting public wouldn't remember, wouldn't care, or would be easily duped or deceived by the latest rightwing agitprop.  Additionally, Republicans never care about future consequences for their actions because they know they can simply blame the Democrats (this includes blaming Democrats past, present, and future).  

So, whatever the near, middle, or distant future fallout from this ridiculous and unlawful War on Iran, Republicans know they can simply say it's Barack's and Biden's fault, or maybe AOC or Zohran Mandami's fault and their raving horde of white people will agree.

It's the reason Republicans attack non-stop, lie recklessly and with abandon, ignore scandals, deny the truth, and make-up easily disprovable claims.

Republicans know all they have to do is win the messaging war right now and the natural cycle of news will push whatever story into the background and be forgotten.  And this doesn't even include their compliant and complicit allies in the Corporate Media who frame everything in their favor, or the insane rightwing media complex which just invents absolute bullshit to defend and support the rightwing agenda.

Traitor trump, of course, has his own training from his tutelage under Roy Cohn of never apologizing and always declaring victory, so two days ago he held a rally in Hebron, Kentucky in which the syphilitic madman declared the war over and took credit for everything,

It's hard for them to complain with that military. It's so incredible, but they like to complain. So let's assume I didn't go in. I was like every other president. Oh no, let them kill people. Let them get an atomic weapon. Let them get a nuclear weapon that can destroy the world.

Just another day of Republicans sitting on Veterans, Trump's plans to incarcerate and institutionalize Veterans

"The VA’s response to the well-articulated concerns raised by so many has been dismissive and unacceptable,” said VFW National Commander Carol Whitmore. “Disabled veterans should never be forced to choose between following their doctor’s orders and protecting their earned benefits."

There are so many instances of Republicans absolutely sitting all over Veterans it's hard to keep track and keep up with them all.  

Last month Doug Collins, had to hastily claim the VA would not be implementing a new rule designed to undercut disabled Veterans compensation.

Remember, Republicans have long claimed minorities and poor people getting meager government assistance are wasteful takers and abusers of the system.  And since Republican philosophy is Rule by the Rich and subjugation of everyone else, eventually they would always get around to everyone who is not helping advance the rightwing agenda of oppression and intolerance.

One of the key efforts of the DOGE boys was to gut the Veterans Administration.  After firing 2400 probationary employees of the VA, DOGe released a plan to eliminate an additional 80,000 jobs.  There was push-back from the Democrats, the VFW, other Veterans groups, after good coverage by the Military Times.  However, DOGE and the Republicans were able to "decimate" (and that's a proper use of the word) the VA by cutting 36,000 jobs from the organization.

Longtime Wisconsin asshole and thief Ron Johnson went onto NaziMax, to spell out, what I've known for a long-time, if you're a Veteran who doesn't support Republicans they hate you, spit on you, and actively shit on your service; 

"[Democrats] got to pull the wool over the eyes of the American public, and recruiting veterans who apparently have their world view — and my guess is there aren't that many veterans that do — it's basically recruiting wolves in sheep's clothing."

I learned long ago that Republicans hate America and really hate anyone who doesn't help their goal of ending the American Dream and turning the United States into a simulacrum of a Democratic Republic; a fascist ethno-state held aloft by the twin pillars of patriarchy and white supremacy.

If you don't espouse rightwing rhetoric, it... doesn't... matter... what your bonafides are, it doesn't matter what you've done or accomplished, you're an enemy of Republicans and the lowliest rightwing podcaster and shittiest Nazi, be it a Nick Shirley, Christopher Rufo, or Jake Lang, is accounted higher in their Hierarchy.  

And that idea of Hierarchy is really, perhaps the core for all Republicans grievances;  knowing your place.  That's the keystone of MAGA and for everything that's happened over the last 50 years of reactionary politics since the 1960s.  Many groups, and individuals no longer know their place in America, and those who we were always afforded the top spot (regardless of deeds, education, experience, or accomplishments) are aggrieved.

But, as always I've already written too much and buried the latest dishonorable Republican outrageous attack on Veterans.  Republicans are looking to institutionalize thousands of Veterans and incarcerate them for the crime of being homeless.

Reading this mind recalls the Suicidal  Tendencies song "Institutionalized" (1983),  the conditions depicted in the film Marat/Sade (1967), and the Star Trek: The Next Generation episode "The Hunted" (1990).

Republicans absolutely hate the United States of America, they hate Veterans, they hate women, they hate you...

I remember when lying propagandist Betsy McCawley was given carte blanche by the corporate media to claim Obamacare had "Death Panels".  And yet if you think this is going to generate 1/100th the reaction as was astro-turfed into creation by rightwing liars about the ACA...

And now we have the good fortune to look-forward to the next generation of Republicans absolutely shitting on the Veterans they are going to create from this Traitor trump debacle with Iran.

When you start a war capaciously any lie will do...

It's outrageous the vaunted 4th Estate, the Watchdogs of Democracy, the American Corporate Media have not called this ridiculous Iran boondoggle a Debacle.

All the Corporate Media can do is applaud harder and clap non-stop just like the servile Republicans whenever Traitor trump or one of his Spokesliars comes up with some new bullshit.  

Traitor trump is now also floating this bullshit about Iran massing for an attack,  

“If we didn't go in, they would have come in after us...Within a week, they were going to attack us 100 per cent. They were ready. They had all these missiles far more than anyone thought and they were going to attack us.  They were going to attack all of the Middle East and Israel.”

Just sheer nonsense.  Just total lies.  Or is delusion?  Or was trump manipulated by Kushner, Rubio, Hegseth, Israel, and Saudi Arabia?

Why is there not non-stop questions about these lies?  Why are there no demands for evidence? And no a single follow-up to KKKaroline Leavitt asking if trump is making things up counts.  trump, Haguseth and the entire Republican Party are lying.  This is fucking outrageous.  This is the death of the Democratic Republic.  

I also continue to be aghast at how this unlawful warfare is being treated as ipso facto legal so we ought to align ourselves with their so-called "policy goals" or figuring out how to manage this conflict.  This is utter bullshit.  These bombings, killings and other military actions are not legal because trump and Hegseth say they are;  these actions are happening de facto NOT de jure.  I wish this was pointed out more.  And perhaps I've missed it.  Perhaps, Rachel Maddow in one of long-form segments with some fantastic guest has pointed out these things.

I wrote before there is no plan.  I told you Traitor trump was already B-O-R-E-D with Iran.  These things are still true, the only thing Trump, Kushner, Rubio, Hegseth et al can think of is bombing more and declaring Victory harder.  Cowardly madman trump went to war on a whim and thought bombing = winning because he knew he'd get superlatives for blowing shit up in Iran, kill the Ayatollah Khomeini and be hailed by the right people.  Which I guess he is...  all trump is hearing is what a big strong boy he is and being applauded and fawned over.

As the release of the strategic oil reserves and the failure to fill them completely before trump launched his big boy war demonstrate there was no pre-planning as does the rapid depletion of interceptor missiles and munitions and most despicably the plan during this Not a War War is to produce War Porn and on-line content for the conservative chickenhawk couch-borne commandoes to masturbate too.

There's no way out of what's been unleashed...  Since Britain and Russia began the Great Game everyone and ... E-V-E-R-Y-O-N-E... with the merest knowledge of post WW2 international politics has known Iran and the Persian Gulf are one of the major flashpoints for World Destabilization.  Anyone who has the faintest understanding of what the United States sought in Iran from 1953 when we overthrew the Government and installed the Shah understands what the Strait of Hormuz means for geopolitics and world stability.

The loathsome Lindsey Graham has been prominently displayed on every Faux News program, reveling in  bloodthirsty ecstasy, threatening War with Cuba next and giggling giddily while saying "we are going to blow the hell out of these people".  Graham tried to justify his warmongering mass murder spree by claiming Iran was going to have 11 Nuclear Bombs until trump struck.  Just shameless lies.  Despicable utter shamelessness.  Fortunately, Lindsey is willing to put his own people up for the ground war;

Bored of Peace 6: Trump has already won World War 5

If you don't traffic in the rightwing fever swamps you might be unaware that according to Republicans and conservative lunatics;  The Cold War was World War 3 (which and I'm not making this up Draft Dodger Ronnie Raygun won without firing a shot),  the Global War on Terror was World War 4 (which George W. Bush won as rightwingers celebrated with Victory in Iraq Day on 11/22/2008 but dastardly Barack Obama surrendered our Victory in Iraq and President Joe Biden did the exact wrong thing by ending our 20 year occupation in Afghanistan in 2021 because we were just about to win!

So, you will be pleased to learn Republicans have declared Victory in Iran!  Thus winning World War 5!

The truth is our military's primary objective, eliminating Iran's nuclear program, eliminating Iranian ballistic missiles and future production, and eliminating their interceptors, taking out their Navy. Trump has already won in Iran.

Well it certainly appears the Traitor trump White House has learned lessons from previous Republicans mistakes and is applying his universal precept off always claiming winning towards this conflict by simply Declaring Victory at all times.

Regardless of what happens, what's really be galling about the response to some of this on-line are the people who are treating trump and the Republicans hostility as though it's quasi-legal.  I knew the unlawful attacks on boats in the Pacific and Caribbean  would be precursors to more attacks from the US Navy at the direction of Fundamentalist Crusader Hegseth.  But, to hear people justify the sinking of the frigate IRIS Dena because a state of hostilities exist shows just how far trump's decade of criminality and unconstitutional actions have degraded Americans brains.

As a Nation-State and Government, YOU DO NOT JUST GET TO DECLARE A STATE OF HOSTILITIES EXIST AND WE GET TO DO WHAT WE WANT!  It's amazing to me how many people simply say well, we are bombing Iran so ipso facto we get to sink ships on the high seas.  According to the Speaker of the House and every Republican in Congress and the Executive branch of Government No declared state of War exists.  Republicans have scuttled Congressional votes to limit the "President's" warmongering.  No justification other than traitor trump is ending the 47 years of WAR with Iran... 

These actions are not legal.  The bombing of infrastructure and military installations are not legal.  That doesn't make them War Crimes, although the US targeting and blowing up a school and children definitely is,  but MAGA enjoys when children die and now they have not plausible deniability because Traitor trump says Iran did it.

trump and the Republicans learned they simply need to say things now matter how evil, untrue, and easily disprovable these things are and the dutiful corporate media will transcribe and "report" their lies often without push-back and always without further follow-up or investigations.

trump and Republicans know all they have to do is win today and by tomorrow some new fresh controversy or crime will come to light and they can simply lie about that and then another new day's scandal will emerge and the cycle will repeat and their willing allies in the corporate media won't report on the old crimes but work to deflect and downplay the new ones.

Now personally, I know Donald trump is a malignant narcissist who cares nothing for the men and women he gets hurt by his Iranian Adventurism but, I'm not as aghast as everyone else is by him wearing his white MAGA hat and being a disrespectful buffoon at the return of dead service members at Dover Air Force Base.

Firstly, his podcast propagandists will simply Whatabout Biden supposedly looking at his watch or their lies he didn't show up for the dead in Afghanistan.  Secondly,  Republicans have never given a shit about dead service men and women except as pawns for them to use to "wave the bloody shirt".  Military conflicts overseas are just gambits by Republicans to attack Democrats, sow division and bash the left, and advance their domestic agenda of oppression and intolerance.

So, at some point Traitor trump is going to declare Unconditional Victory (maybe after Israel and Netanyahu tells him they've done enough damage and degraded Iran's infrastructure and killed enough school children) and henceforth anything done by Iran is the most evil and nefarious of war crimes.

Republicans betray their oaths of office, betray their country, and betray the Constitution.  Republicans are cowards and traitors.  So, that's why we don't see a big rush of Republicans signing their sons and daughters up into the service to fight in Dumbass Donnie's Don't Care Not A War.  Additionally, I don't see prominent rightwingers flooding their local military recruitment centers.  I don't see Barron Von Traitor trump enlisting to serve immediately.  Nick Shirley hasn't released a video of himself raising his hand at a local MEPS.

You notice how no one in the Corporate Media is calling this a debacle?  You notice how no one in the Corporate Media is speaking, writing, broadcasting non-stop that trump is demented fool?  A madman? And needs to be removed from office? 

The Media destroyed President Joe Biden for ending the Afghanistan War, after a useless 20 year occupation and Nation-building exercise in futility and President Biden did so with as small a loss of life as could be expected.  And yet, the Corporate Media could not fucking wait to broadcast Traitor trump's attacks on President Biden.  The Corporate Media spent the next 3 years of Joe's Presidency undermining and belittling him and propping up trump.

Now, Dumbass Donnie Don't Care has started a war on a whim, doesn't have any plan, and is saying well of course the Kurds, or Iranian dissidents will rise up and overthrow the Government and then he'll build trump Tower in Tehran.

And maybe Donnie will arm them?  Just like his idol Ronnie Raygun did with Osama Bin Laden and the Mujaheddin in Afghanistan!  And, of course, he think the Kurds will rise up like they did for George H.W. One of the historical parallels between the U.S. invasion of Iraq in 2003 and Ancient History involved Achmed Chalabi acting as a prince in exile convincing the U.S. to overthrow Saddam so he could be installed as Ruler.

Ancient Rome was often involved in the area as it was the disputed region between them and Parthian Empire and it's successor the Sassanid Empire.  Deposed rulers and striving men of these lands would live in exile in Rome and appeal to the Roman Empire to put them in power and there would be great relations between the two states.  Rome often accepted this and engaged in numerous wars sometimes succeeding in putting in a ruler and making the nation a client state, which was a significant part of the Grand Strategy of Rome during the first centuries AD.

So, here we are again.  First time as tragedy, second time as farce...  But, just as before Republicans don't care what comes next because they know no matter what evil crimes they commit they can simply blame the Democrats and be back in power to do it all over again...

Okay so Day 1, you know Donald Traitor Trump was sniffing madly, fucking amped to see the bombs falling and to get the reports "He" killed the elderly Ayatollah Khamenei and former Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, who's been out of office for 12 years.

But, there is simple process for trump's attention span.   Traitor trump's attention span has a half-life of one day.  Every 24 hours trump is half as interested in whatever crap his done.  This halving process continues until in a fit of sundowning trump wanders away clapping to himself.

Trump is already calling on the Iranian people to overthrow the government because he's already overdosed with adderall and losing attention and focus.

What Trump always wants are the big bold headlines (about how awesome, how impactful, how decisive he is - which the Corporate Media is more the willing to give him because the Corporate Media loves and supports Trump and wants his fascist agenda to succeed) followed by the quick win and victory laps he and his dutifully dogs can take.  Ala Venezuela and the kidnapping of President Maduro, for which a ridiculous Congressional Medal of Honor was hastily awarded.  A process which usually takes 18-24 months for diligent investigation and confirmation but was done inside of 5 weeks in this case.  Unlike Traitor trump I'm not dismissing the bravery of the recipient CWO5 Eric Slover, but the rush to give it out so trump can bask in the glory which he awards himself. 

So now Traitor trump is claiming hundreds of "military" targets have been hit and the Operation Epic Fury  could take four weeks or less.

Usually Traitor trump claims his grandiose and never fulfilled plans are TWO WEEKS AWAY so I guess this slightly longer timeframe for an Illegal War and the unknown blowback taking 4 weeks is an improvement.

So, within a week trump is going to be totally bored with this whole thing and anyway he's simply go to do what he always does and declare TOTAL VICTORY, have some juvenile staffer post a racist video on the White House page of dead Iranians and move on to the next thing.

Republicans know they can simply blame Democrats for any future consequences.

Cynic that I am it's jaw-dropingly unbelievable that the justification the Fascist Traitor Republicans used for this war is Iran was planning on attacking the United States so we had to strike first!  Also Iran stole the 2020 election for Joe Biden.
