Colossal criminal and rich asshole Eric Hovde running for US Senate in Wisconsin on a platform of being too rich too bribe has been laundering Mexican drug cartel money;

MADISON, Wis. — A bombshell report this morning from Dan Bice of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel revealed that Banco Azteca, a bank reportedly tied to the Mexican cartel flew $26 million of cash across the U.S.-Mexico Border to Eric Hovde’s bank in California.

As the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel detailed, Banco Azteca was cut off by several other U.S. banks over “risk and compliance concerns” after reporting linked it to cartel activity. An executive of the bank was recently implicated in a federal indictment detailing his attempts to bribe a member of the U.S. Congress to get U.S. banks to once again do business with the bank. Despite this, Eric Hovde’s bank in December, flew $26.2 million of cash on four airplane flights from Mexico City to Irvine, California as part of a deal with Banco Azteca.

This revelation of laundering drug cartel money comes on the heels of the California Banker Hovde brazenly dismissing concerns about all the foreign money being moved into his banks by foreign governments and companies.

Sunwest Bank, a commercial bank for entrepreneurs based in the West Coast worth $3 billion, began reporting foreign government deposits totaling nearly $250,000 in December 2023, coinciding with Hovde’s confirmation as a Senate candidate.  

This disclosure follows a trend seen on the company’s call reports since March 2017, indicating holdings of more than $118 million from undisclosed foreign banks, which began only after Hovde assumed the role of CEO. 

Again it must be nice to be a billionaire asshole and know you can engage in money laundering and financial crimes and absolutely have no fear about being arrested (let alone being asphyxiated to death over a phony $20) and have a shot at winning a spot in the Senate all because you stick that Scarlet R after your disgusting puke name.  Fortunately, Senator Tammy Baldwin retains a 6-7 point lead over Better Call Saul Hovde.

The South Side Irish Parade Returns to Beverly (#OccupySouthSideParade)

CBS Chicago reports:

Thousands of people have gathered to watch floats, marching bands and dancers in Chicago’s South Side Irish Parade. The parade is back after a two-year hiatus that was forced by drunken brawls at the 2009 march. Parade organizers say they’ve beefed up security in an effort to create what they’re calling a family-friendly parade.

The Parade began in 1979 but increasingly it was nothing more than an excuse for young assholes to show up, get drunk and fight.

“I want the South Side Irish Parade that I grew up with back. I don’t want what we’ve had the last few years,” 19th Ward Chicago Alderman Matt O’Shea, who voted to kill the parade in 2009 said last month when faced with Chicago City Hall's decision to grant a permit to hold the Parade.

Laura Bisiules, a bartender at nearby Wrongs Tap (10014 S. Western Ave.) stated one the problems plaguing the Parade in recent years,"I think the underage drinking was what was really getting out of hand." The 2009 South Side Irish Parade led to 54 arrests.

Now let's get to it. Does anyone recall right-wing bloggers gnashing their teeth over the despicable behavior of the Parade goers? Anyone remember Andrew Breitbart showing up to scream at the Parade? Wisconsin has turned into the WWE. The Wisconsin Republicans are fakes. They care nothing for the people of Wisconsin and are wholly owned and operated by Corporate Moneyed Masters.

Justice David Prosser won re-election, under dubious, but most likely not fraudulent circumstances, when a former worker of his, Waukesha County Clerk Kathy Nickolaus announced she had found 14,000 uncounted votes, 11,000 of which went to Prosser.

Now, prior to this discovery and with the spectre of a Prosser defeat, Nationwide conservatives were crying election fraud as they always do when they lose. And if they were honest they would have been skeptical of the results after this discovery. But, like all things conservative, cries of foul are only important when it's against their side. Conservatives have no shame and are rabid hypocrites who feel no compunctions at lying, obfuscating and stealing in order to get "their way", which is hilarious because "their way" is the way of the Richest in this country who seek a return to out-right slavery and Neo-Feudalism.

But, David Prosser was adjudicated the winner of the election and went to work ensuring the anti-Worker agenda of the Koch Brothers was put into action. However, Prosser is a mysognist with a history of anger issues and it wasn't too long before he was involved in some alleged confrontations.

The most serious event involving Prosser was the allegation made by Wisconsin Supreme Court Justice Ann Walsh Bradley, that in a fit of anger Prosser grabbed her in chokehold. Prosser countered that Bradley had rushed at him fists raised and he defended himself. As every Police Officer could tell you anytime you get to a fight in progress or a battery, it's always the other guy who started it, but that didn't matter to conservatives.

Every Rightwing blog declared Prosser innocent because he is a conservative. Guilt and Innocence is a matter of political ideology to the Right. Every liberal accused is guilty and every conservative convicted is a victim of liberal bias!!!

It's part of the Conservative Insulation Machine. A self-perpetuating mythos which allows the Right to complain that anytime a conservative is found guilty, accused of wrong-doing or caught saying something Bachmann Crazy it's a set-up by the Liberal Media. This was dramatically demonstrated by the oft repeated lie that President Obama wasn't "vetted by the media" (the current torchbearer of that meme is Totally Not Racist Republican Joe Walsh) and poor, poor Sarah Palin was viciously attacked by the MSM.

It wouldn't be so bad if conservatives' blindness, ignorance, hatred and hypocrisy didn't have consequences for the rest of society. But, Conservatives are not content to shackle themselves to the gears of Industry and Warfare, they actively work to cosign the rest of America to Wage Slavery to the Ruling Class.

Republican Rep. Denny Rehberg of Montana told his supporters "we are struggling like everyone else". Rehberg assertion is the more galling because he has millions in land, or as Rehberg the Republican slime put it "we're land rich and cash poor," and is accounted the 23rd richest member of Congress.

Rehberg has the advantage of not being from Wisconsin, where Republican Sean Duffy told the rich Union thugs who are destroying America, "I..I struggle to meet my bills right now," on his $174,000 salary and families' guaranteed health and dental benefits.

But, that's how it goes for Republicans they know Americans are struggling because; They. Caused. It. Now, the Republicans House members are back in their districts having taken yet another vacation from not creating jobs and proclaiming 'We feel your pain!' as they are suffering just like their constituents.

Republicans are the party of the Rich, by the Rich and for the Rich.

This realization has been dawning on the American people as they observe their wages stagnate, health care insurance vanish, their children fight wars the rich avoid, and see more and more wealth trickle up to the privileged few. In an attempt to reverse their downward trend, the Republican establishment created The Tea Party Rage of 2009. It was grass roots! It was regular America! It was populist! The media and GOP assured us again and again.

Well, with the major media networks directed to champion the Tea Party Sham, the Republicans had to do little else than sit back and shout, "Hosanna!" But, Republicans will do whatever is necessary to fool people to vote against their self-interests.

If they have to pretend to be moral and righteous, they will. If they have to proclaim their philandering was because of their deep love of Country, they will. If they have to pretend to be fiscal conservatives they will. If they have to rail against government handouts while their families accept subsidies they will! If they have to lie and claim to be regular folks, well shucks they'll clear some brush on a Texas ranch!

Well, deluded voters put the Republicans back into power in the US House, multiple State legislatures and Governors. And what did the Republicans do upon regaining power? They showed their true objective. They moved quickly to steal rights away from workers, redefine rape, attack Planned Parenthood, and then crafted the most inhuman budget with the goal to finally eliminate the Middle Class and reduce the 90% of the American people, with whom Republicans have no ties, to Wage Slavery.

But, a funny thing has happened on the rush to obliterate Unions, the EPA, FDA, OSHA and create Neo-Feudalist GOPAmerica, the masses of people actually enjoy having America be a Modern Nation and don't want the Republicans to cosign us to Third World Status and Serfdom.

Republicans have to play the 'we're just like you' as voters recognize the Republicans are rich, elitest bastards far removed from their struggles and more worried about retaining office, dismantling the social safety net, deregulating every industry and removing Federal agencies which police and halt Corporate crime and corruption, as the Republican Punk Ass Bitches make sure they properly service their Rich Moneyed Masters.

Republican Tax Cuts, Spending and Ultra-Whining

A blog post about a week ago by Todd Henderson, Law Professor at the University of Chicago caused a stir because Mister Henderson engaged in the perverse whining of the Ultra Entitled. His “Truth on the Market” blog post now long since deleted (because Henderson couldn't stand to have his Libertarian garbage and factual errors challenged although it is google cached for all time) as Henderson complained that with 'my big mortgage, my cars, my nanny, my lawn service, my children's private schools, my $15,000+ a year property taxes' he couldn't afford to have his and his wife's combined income of more than $250,000 taxed at the pre-Bush rates.

“A quick look at our family budget, which I will happily share with the White House, will show him that like many Americans, we are just getting by (emphasis added) despite seeming to be rich. We aren’t,” Henderson wrote.

Besides Henderson's haute myopic 'Oh we aren't Rich' attitude he also engages in the ignorant Libertarian mantra, Government taxes are theft and we the people can spend that money better, showing the Republican duplicity surrounding Tax Cuts.

The time to complain that We Can Spend Our Money Better than the Government was when Bush and Cheney were spending that money for you in Iraq and Afghanistan and Somalia and in Medicare Part D. The money the Government needs in order to function was stolen by Bush and given to his Moneyed Masters who shipped it to UBS in Switzerland and other off-shore Accounts. Bush and the Republicans used the Tax Cuts combined with the "Emergency" War Spending and DoD Budget to steal Trillions from America. But, of course, the testicle gurgling Tea Baggers didn't complain abut spending then as Bush isn't dark complected.

But, the lying Republican scum doesn't just tread in the ignorance surrounding the profligate spending they engaged in and for which the bill is now due, they engage in lies about what Tax Cuts accomplish. Republicans have been claiming for years Tax Cuts are going to stimulate job growth. Does anyone who is unemployed believe this bilge?

If it were true the years after Bush proposed and the Republican Congress implemented his Tax Cuts would have been the largest growth period in American history. But, it wasn't. And the only President who destroyed more jobs than Bush was Ronald Reagan during his Piss Down Your Back and Tell You It's Raining trickle down economics.

What Reagan's and Bush's Tax Cuts accomplished was the steadiest and fastest accumulation of Wealth in the Hands of the Rich and Ultra Rich Plutocrats since the infamous Robber Baron Age. That is what "Tax Cuts" are designed to accomplish. The funneling and concentration of Money into Republican Masters' Hands.

But, Ronald Reagan, didn't just Piss on the Poor and Middle Class, he also dismantled the Industrial Base of America for his Moneyed Masters.

Because, along with placing the Federal Tax Burden on the Middle Class the Plutocratic Tea Baggers want to off-shore as many jobs as possible. The Republican Party takes their orders from Plutocrats who have one goal, To Steal as much Money as possible.

To the Koch Brothers, Paul Singer, and The Triumphant American Plutocracy, the Federal Government exists to Reduce the Cost of Labor. Republicans help accomplish this by constant undercutting and attempts to Destroy Unions, the importing of illegal workers and the offshoring of as many jobs as possible.

When combined these efforts by Republicans help undermine and eliminate the power of American Workers who cost too much money for Plutocrats tastes.

Of course, in order to sell this crap to Middle Class persons Republicans wail about Welfare Theft (ACORN!!!) by those people, the gold teethed, latest hip hop cell phone ring tone, cadillac driving persons. It's a constant invocation of the Reagan Era Welfare Queens. It shows what middle class and working class people are up against. Money, they have it, they want more and they are willing to watch you suffer and die to ensure they get it.
