Defend the Vatican Attack the Pope

Right-Wingers are geniuses. They are able to hold two ideas in direct opposition in their head at the same time.

The United States is closing it's Embassy in Vatican City and consolidating it with the Embassy and Consulate grounds the US has in Rome and throughout the Italian Peninsula.

Ka-boom! Right-Wingers took to their fainting couches to bemoan President Obama's continuing attacks on all that is Holy.

How is Nicholas Cage supposed to find the secret documents in the Vatican Archives which prove that Jesus hand wrote the Constitution so that conservatives could use their guns to crush liberal communists and rule America with an Iron Fist?

Of course, there isn't a U.S. Embassy in Vatican City, which is less than 1 mile across and doesn't have grounds for anything not associated with the Church, but hey details and truth are anathema to conservatives.

But... A funny thing happened recently. The New Pope Francis, having been born in Argentina (albeit safely from Italian immigrant parents) has been using the Papal Pulpit to point out how evil Capitalism actually is and how the unholy pursuit of money has led to huge suffering amongst people considered by Capitalists as disposable.

Faux News resident Upper Class Twit Stuart Varney, a reliably asinine Tory who holds nothing but hatred towards the poor, but is a stupid conservatives ideal of a smart man because he speaks with a RP accent, took time to scold the Pope and defend his Moneyed Masters.

Racist Limpballs (Rush Limbaugh), King of the Conservatives, managed to take time away from his dreams of raping Sandra Fluke and whatever other woman he wants, to decry the "pure marxism coming out of the mouth of the Pope". We all know what comes out of the mouth of Limpballs.

American Catholics, who have for years given their support to Republicans and the Right, are in for a shock when their "brethren" the anti-human, let'em die, kill the poor, guardians of Plutocracy and Vulture Capitalists, turn upon them.

They'll be surprised when conservatives begin to spit out epithets like papists and defame the 'Bishop of Rome' while expecting Catholics to toe-the-line and prostrate themselves in front of the conservative idols of Oppression, Subjugation, and adulation of the Rich.

And they'll be forced to choose between Supply-Side Jesus and the Vicar of Christ. Interesting times indeed.

Career Politican and Rape Expert Todd Akin and the Republicans are the Party of Legitimate Rape

Republican Sente Candidate Todd Akin made the inexcuseable mistake of actually telling the truth about what right-wingers think when it comes to Rape and Women's Bodies.

"If it’s a legitimate rape, the female body has ways to try to shut that whole thing down.”

Only Bad Girls who wanted it and dressed like sluts, asking for it get pregnant.

Sadly, the Right-Wing War on Women continues. Akin is stating mainstream conservative thought. In 2011 Tea Party and House Republicans vote en masse to change the definition of Rape to only be "legitimate" when it was "forcible". Because every conservative knows if the woman didn't die trying to fight off her attacker she wanted it.

But, Congressman Todd Akin has nothing to worry about in Missouri. Akin recently made the right-wing pilgrimmage to Chick-fil-A to demonstrate his worthiness to right-wing bigots. In fact, Todd Akin is staying in the Mo Senate Race and has a legitimate chance of winning unless Missouri female bodies have ways of shutting that whole thing down!

Todd Akin is a career Republican bureaucrat. He's been a US Congressman since 2001 and served in the Mo House from 1988-2000. So, it's been 25 years since Akin had to worry about his healthcare coverage or next paycheck.

Despite Akin's recent "some people say" Only Bad Girls who Wanted It Get Pregnant. He's also espoused other standard pillars of Right-Wing ideology:

"I have a very serious concern about erosion of states rights. Very serious concern of that, and this, reversing this decision might pull that balance back. I am, as I’ve mentioned, a strong conservative, I don’t think the federal government should be doing a whole lot of things that it’s doing and it may well be that a repeal of the 17th Amendment might tend to pull that back but I haven’t written any thesis on it or anything like that." State's Rights! Of course, Akin wants to disenfranchise voters. Todd Akin also thinks it's time "to take a second look" at "the Civil Rights Act and Voting Rights Act". State's Rights! Without taking the vote away from legitimate voters Republicans can't win elections!

Todd Akin told reporters in Sedalia today that he isn't sure the federal government should be involved in the school lunch program. “Is it something the federal government should do? I answer it no. I think the federal government should be out of the education business.”

Akin made the statement outside the 60th annual Governor’s Ham Breakfast at the Missouri State Fair on the week many students are heading back to the classroom.

Because as Akin noted, "the right to food is a communist ideal." Just remember Akin doesn't have to worry about where his next meal is coming from as he's wined and dined by lobbyists, paid an enormous salary by Government and provided FREE Government Healthcare.

The Republican Party stands for nothing more than Oppression, Subjugation and Slavery. As Vice President Joe Biden correctly pointed out, the Republican Party wants to put "Y'all back in Chains..." It's just that "Y'all" the Republicans want to enslave includes more than just black people but every woman, poor and middle class person in America who doesn't kow-tow and genuflect to them and Plutocracy.

Now the only reason Americans live that long is the long hard slough Liberals fought; for benefits, health care, reduced working hours and non-slave wages. And Republicans fought against those measures every time. And are still seeking to eliminate them.

If Republicans had their druthers Americans would work from the age 12 to 70 or until you die. Upon reaching 70 Republicans would then have you killed.

The Wealthy have total control over the Republican Party. Remember Don Blankenship, the Massey Energy CEO, owner of the Upper Big Branch mine which killed 29 miners? Blankenship deliberately subverted safety inspections (495 violations in 2009), suggested firing mine supervisors who pointed out unsafe conditions and stopped his mine workers from unionizing. But he knew he couldn't accomplish his plans Coal Production via Dead Miners without having bought Republicans to provide him political cover:

The 2010 Republican platform is Death to the Middle Class and Poor and they've listed several planks to their platform: Eliminate the EPA (allow Massey and Don Blankenship kill more Miners and BP kill more Oil Rig Workers and pollute Lake Michigan), steal your Social Security (take that money and TARP it to Wall Street), oppose Mine Safety Legislation, repeal Health Care Reform and deny Americans medical care.

I was worried about the 2010 elections and the Republicans taking control of Congress but as the Republicans Platform becomes clearer I'm now more worried about Conservative Terrorists Resorting to the Bullet Box and 2nd Amendment Remedies and Steve King's outright call for terrorism and kidnapping via "Deport A Liberal". Conservatives always resort to violence when thwarted by Democracy and murder low level government workers at the IRS, or assassinate police officers and museum guards.

Ayn Rand Paul

Even though his name is not dervied from the Anti-Human Ayn Rand, Paul has certainly imbided and assimilated her evil views. Rand's worldview treat the vast majority of humanity as vermin. Ayn Rand celebrated the beautiful people. To Rand humanity, the common man, was nothing but potential parasites and therefore unreasonable, not grounded in her reality, irredeemable and not worth saving. The Common Man is nobody special.

President Obama's calm cool collected demeanor and constant outreach is making the Republicans stand up for the Plutocratic Elite and vote against the American People and the American people can see it. The American people were overwhelming in favor of Health Reform and what did the Punk Ass Bitches Republicans and their Conservative Troglodytes do? They lied and threatened violence. Stalwart Republican values, Deception and Terrorism.

Now the American people want Banking Reform and who stands with the Wall Street Thieves and against Main Street Americans? The Republicans. The Republicans will not let Congress and President Obama endanger the institutional Thievery which the Republican Party was created to cement into law and protect at all costs.

This is fortunate because since the Reign of Chickenhawk Reagan the Republicans have gotten away with their anti-human plans of financial deregulation to destroy and Impoverish the American Middle Class. Because the Klepotcrats in America who control the Republicans want all American workers ground down to the level of the powerless in Indonesia or Guatemala. Republicans want Americans to work and die once their "productive" years are done.

Ask yourself: Who wanted to roll Social Security into Wall Street? The Republicans. Why? So Wall Street could steal those funds as well. Who during the midst of the Bush/Cheney Depression wanted to destroy Social Security and Medicare? Michele Bachmann and the Republicans. Why? Because Michele Bachmann wants Americans to die when they get old.

Republicans act as the attack dogs for the Wealthy and their conservative slime merchants gleefully absorb the message and willfully propagate it to delude themselves and others.

How do the Republicans get away with their anti-human plans? They've done an excellent job of dividing Americans by religion and race and by non-stop lying.

For years the demographics allowed Republican victories but now more and more Americans are aware there is a club and 99% of the American People aren't in it. The American People have seen that the Republicans serve a gaggle of Kleptocrats who view their supporters as nothing more than paving stones for their luxuries.

But the coast has already shifted. Republicans have lost the popular vote in 4 of the last 5 Presidential Elections and 2012 is going to be no different, another Republican defeat. In the years between expect an unceasing torrent of lies and calls for violence.

But, when the clear results of Republican policies are highlighted, as recently in the case of the evil and odious Don Blankenship, global warming denier and Right Wing Champion of Deregulation and less government intrusion into Business, Republicans become unhinged and bristle with false umbrage. Deaf, dumb and blind is what conservatives would like to remain when shown the results of 30 years of Republican policies; the destruction of the middle class, the theft of Trillions of dollars, the murder of American service men, the murder of American workers, the underfunding and destruction of (MSHA, OSHA, FDA, EPA) and any other organization (ACORN) which impedes the Republican Party platforms of deception, theft, oppression, rape and murder in the service of the Plutocratic Elite.

Perhaps it's willful ignorance which allows Republicans to implement policies which harm Americans.

Or perhaps Republicans merely hate America. Merely hate the concept, hate when the government allievates the crushing of the poor, which is why they fought Health Care Reform and supported Insurance Companies right to kill Americans, and are now fighting Financial Reform and support Mega-Banking Wall Street Firms right to Steal Trillions of Dollars from Americans.

What Republicans want, as blatantly highlighted in the Citizens United SCOTUS decision, is a Kleptocratic Oligarchy in which they control government and the government destroys unions, invades countries to kill the inhabitants and steal their wealth, and keeps the American people in the status of wage slaves and Katrina survivors, grinding 95% of the country into serfdom while they claim to defend the very ideals they blissfully destroy.

The Passing of a Generation: Howard Zinn and JD Salinger

Howard Zinn and JD Salinger both passed away recently. They belonged to that near mythical generation of Americans (like my beloved and missed Grandparents) who survived the Great Depression and World War II to witness the birth of American Supremacy.

Salinger's The Catcher in the Rye never had the Holden Caulfield rebellion effect on me because I read it much too late. I was already 25 and firmly ensconced (or so I thought) in my persona. However, reflecting on it today, I recognize in it a kernel of my irritation with authority.

But, I first picked up a copy of A People's History of the United States in 1993 after Clinton's victory and when I was listening to Conservative Talk Radio. It was fascinating. How could the stories by true? My American History classes never touched on these plights or the struggles of the poor and oppressed.

Ludlow? The IWW? I'd never heard Mark Twain wrote against War, and more directly against Organized Religion, Governments and the Elites than just in his heavily cloaked but indisputable polemics starring Huck and Tom. And even though I'd lived in the Chicago land area for 20 years I had never heard of Haymarket Square or the subsequent events of the now widely dissembled Weathermen.

Reading the stories of the workers struggles planted the nascent seed pods of my journey to Liberalism, which flowered along the banks of the Euphrates 10 years later, and away from anti-human conservative pathology.

Of course, the Punk Ass Bitch Conservatives over at She Who Shall not be Named 2's site have only evil things to say about a World War II veteran and staunch defender of the poor and exploited, who fought passionately for Civil Rights and stood courageously against the Vietnam War. They (still) hate Zinn because he stood against warfare and oppression, and Conservatives love to oppress and kill people.

Democracy Now has a fitting Tribute to Howard Zinn and the Real News Network often interviewed Zinn because of his great moral integrity and they way he fundamentally changed the way We the People should view our deference to authority and our acceptance of the Outrage of War.

Most Liberals are upset with Obama's perceived lack of vigor. Or as James Surowiecki writes: Ultimately, I think Obama’s real problem has been a familiar one, namely that, inadvertently or not, he overpromised and necessarily underdelivered. Americans want a true Liberal Party not the Corporate Conservatives masquerading as Democrats. However, there in lies a problem. By not voting for Democrats they empower the Republicans who are solely owned and operated by the Kleptocracy.

With the Democratic Party we very occasionally get a Dennis Kucinich a strong Progressive Liberal who genuinely endorses and advances progressive issues, if the Republicans regain control then Americans will continue to get force feed the cold shit sandwich of Conservatives values: Creationism, Pollution, Theft, Warfare, and Death.

Of course, when the Jesuits were allowed to brainwash and indoctrinate the boy early on he'd retain their warped teachings all his life.

So I never got around to Ayn Rand's two works until my mid-twenties. And having trudged through the long hard slog of Atlas Shrugged the most pertinent fact about the book, to me, was which character I most readily identified with.

I know I am not a Ragnar Danneskjöld super engineer able of crafting a Super Stealth Ship, or have the chess mastery of Francisco d'Anconia to undercut and play a 20 year deep Global Game of Intrigue, or possess the Hank Reardon intellect to invent an entirely new alloy, or the comic book super powers of John Galt himself so I identified with Dagny Taggart's loyal assistant, Eddie Willers.

Eddie represents the common man in Rand's book and philosophical worldview. And it clearly shows that Rand views the mass of humanity as dogs, hard-working enduring and loyal creatures but not possessing many other positive traits and with the ability to be turned to good or evil by how they are treated. Dagny Taggart was obviously Ayn Rand herself.

And how does Dagny (Rand) treat her loyal assistant, the common man, as the "evil" society crumbles? She leaves him to fucking die on the train tracks! Because that is what Objectivism holds the mass of humanity is nothing and the few brilliant beautiful people are everything. And even amongst the select few there exist a pecking order. Amongst the elect there are some even more Objectively Superior and those people need to be allowed special privileges.

A majority of the reason Rand wrote Atlas Shrugged was because of her desire to justify her sexual mores. I don't care, fuck whomever you want to fuck, but for Rand to rationally indulge in her sexual proclivities she had to wrap it in the aura of her Philosophical Magisterium as part and parcel of the Whole Objectivist Truth. In the novel, Hank Reardon and Dagny become lovers because they seek refuge from the "evil" society in each other's arms; having not fled to Galt's Gulch. Well, when Dagny's plane crashes, Reardon flys around trying to spot the wreckage. But after The Strike and upon being reunited with Dagny the two happily parts ways as if nothing ever happened between them because Dagnay has moved on to ride Galt's mega-phallus???

In her writings Rand often berates altruism and several philosophers (most noticeably Immanuel Kant) as evil and teaching an anti-human thought system. Because it undercuts and destroys the Individual, who is everything. Well, it is Rand's Objectivism which is truly anti-human. Objectivism goes: Reason is the highest, the individual is everything, reality exists A is A, yet Rand doesn't respect and in fact hates most common individuals. No Individual, even Randian Super Heroes, exists or succeeds ex nihlo.

I believe myself to be fairly intelligent and not given to evil but not having the spark of Randian superiority so to Rand I'm common. And that's when Rand's Objectivism shows it's true anti-human streak. The commons are nothing but potential parasites and therefore unreasonable, not grounded in reality, irredeemable and not worth saving. The Common Man is nobody special to Rand.
