Hagee is infamous for creating the Hate Group CUFI (Christians United for Israel) which, as fitting rightwing beliefs, actually stands for the opposite of everything it says it defends.  Hagee, is a Fascist Fundamentalist, who succors Israel because in his belief system, Israel will herald the Apocalypse causing Jesus to return at which point all the Jews (save a select few) will die (as well as the Muslims, Atheists, Hindus, Shintoists, and others) in Holy Fire so God can reign for a 1000 years on Earth.  Hagee who has infamously given sermons about God sending "A Hunter" (i.e. Hitler) to punish the Jews for not returning to Israel as they are Biblically commanded too wants this War to continue and escalate because it will eventually lead to the Destruction of the World and the Rapture...

Perhaps, as more speak out and protests become more frequent first, understand Police are not your allies. When Republicans take power back they will task Police forces with violently attacking protestors, beating immigrants, and rounding-up homeless people and the Police by and large will comply with those orders.  The Constitutionality of the Arrests or detentions will be ignored or justified under the guise "Officer Safety" or the declaration that the protest itself is unlawful and thus everyone at it is subject to arrest.  Just as the Capitol Police did in violently breaking up the Peaceful protest at the DNC this week.  As an anecdotal aside I've seen and personally spoken to people in the town I work with who have declared the flying of a Palestinian Flag to be an Act of Terrorism and worry that their precious little children will be targeted by Hamas.  Unfortunately, the group have decided to "report" the flying of the flag and other "suspicious" activity to the Police and expect a Police response.

Secondly, one of the misattributed quotes which has become a bedrock principle of rightwing belief is the statement, "If you want to know who rules you, look who you are not allowed to criticize"...  Blah blah blah blah blah.  Republicans are the king of hypocritically complaining about that which they themselves are guilty of;  Also known as the acronym EAIAC, (Every Accusation is a Confession) because right now as we sit here, protests against the on-going Atrocities and War Crimes in Gaza are met with Police Violence, arrests, and immediate condemnation and cries of Anti-Semitism especially from Republicans who see the Israeli Terror in Gaza as their ticket back into political power.

Certainly, Sean Hannity and Faux News see the upside and the potential political gain to be made from declaring anyone who supports the Palestinian cause or even a Ceasefire as a Pro-Terrorist, Pro-Hamas as the Post 9/11 playbooks were taken off the shelves to be used once again.  Any protest, statement, Twitter note is back to the good old GWoT days of being on the side of the Terrorists.  In shades of Zell Miller, Fox has been promoting and hosting Democratic Congressman Brad Sherman of California, who claimed the recent protest was more violent than January 6th and declared everyone who supports a Ceasefire is Pro-Hamas.

So now, the Democratic Party and erstwhile Liberals (Amy Schumer) have let their bloodlust and 100% support for brutal killings of Gazan's burst forth without regard for "consequences" because since the horrific 10/07 Hamas assault on Israeli citizens, bloodthirsty supporters of Israel have felt absolutely free to demand the death and displacement of everyone in Gaza.

Piers Morgan has decided the the Atrocities in Gaza are his ticket back to relevance as he adopts a Jerry Springer style format.  Piers has brought Egyptian comedian Bassem Youssef twice to explain the brutality of Israel dating back decades using his rye humour and biting sarcasm while Piers plays the Just Asking Questions (Jaqoff) disinterested outside observer.  

But, Morgan also invited the bloodthirsty madman Shmuley Boteach on to "debate" against Cenk Uyger, Boteach adopted all the shut down trolling techniques rightwing fascists have employed for decades in such formats and instantly identified his insatiable lust for the murder of Palestinians and declared every critique a "blood libel".  Boteach of course, is a murderous psychopath, a literal genocidal Nazi, and you could argue his vileness is atypical and then you learn a murderous cabinet minister Amichai Eliyahu openly advocated for the Nuking of Gaza and declares there are no civilians in Gaza.  Or when Israeli Knesset member Ariel Kallner demands a Second Nakba;

The open calls for Ethnic Cleansing and Genocide aren't just coming from blood-thirsty Israeli Madmen but, from Americans.  In Florida, Tits Ahoy Representative Michelle Salzman cold-bloodedly shouted "All of Them", when a Democratic State Rep asked a rhetorical question about how many dead Palestinians would be enough...

Israel has bombed Syrian locations.  Israel has bombed the border between Egypt and Gaza.  The IDF itself reports it has dropped 6000 in 6 days.  I mean how many more do they get to drop?  10,000?  50,000? 2,200,000 one bomb for everyone in Gaza?  Is the Israeli response unlimited? Yep, because 40 Beheaded Babies.

I'm afraid the retaliation and violence won't have any defined end other than, "Defeat the Terrorists".  The Global War on Terror returns for another open-ended run.  The US is already shipping 250lb "precision" bombs and JDAM conversion kits to upgrade older munitions into so-called smart bombs.

Any time anyone states perhaps the aerial bombardments obliterating entire city blocks should stop, on-line trolls and blood-thirsty keyboard killers will declare you are in league with Hamas and support beheading babies.  There is a large contingent which apparently believes Israel gets to drown Gaza in blood and Israel also gets to decide when enough blood has been shed.

And now Israel has ordered over 1 Million people to move out of North Gaza inside the next 24 hours.  The UN response correctly points out this is an impossible demand and declared it will cause an unspeakable humanitarian crisis.  To which Israel says too bad.

For instance, convicted criminal and drunken evangelical Tom DeLay scuttled aid to Palestine Authority in 2005.  Undercutting the Palestine Authority in 2005 aided who?  Hamas; who "won" elections in Gaza in 2006 and have never had another.  Who else has aided Hamas?  Why Benjamin Netanyahu.

Today’s events did not occur in a vacuum. For the last two decades, millions of Palestinians in Gaza have been forced to live in an open-air prison. Israeli officials promise to “open the gates of hell,” and the massacres in Gaza have already commenced. Palestinians in Gaza have no shelters for refuge and nowhere to escape. In the coming days, Palestinians will be forced to bear the full brunt of Israel’s violence.  

The apartheid regime is the only one to blame.

This is a good question as they were not clairvoyant enough to see the odious Traitor Cruz would turn into.

Harvard President Claudine Gay and senior leadership including 15 deans issued a statement on Monday that said they were “heartbroken by the death and destruction unleashed by the attack by Hamas that targeted citizens in Israel this weekend”.

See! We can neatly blame all the future death and destruction on the original Hamas attack and thus Israeli war crimes in Gaza are actually the fault of the people being killed by bunker buster bombs and the cutting off of the water supply.

It's nigh-impossible for anyone in the West, especially in the US, to criticize Israel. Even when such criticism is wholly accurate.  Israelis, however, are not shy about placing the blame upon the occupation and inhuman conditions the Israeli governments have subjected the Palestinian people.  Here in the US, Republicans have nothing to offer the American peoples thus they see this continuing War in Palestine/Israel as see an opportunity to attack President Biden and the Democratic Party and further endanger and degrade the United States.  While the Republican Party  isn't in "league" with Hamas, the Likud Fascists, Vladimir Putin, all these extremists know that their interests are aligned and that each of them is able to wield outsized power by undermining peace, democracy, and liberal society.

So as the death toll rises and the humanitarian crisis in Gaza gets worse, expect Republicans to get more vociferous in their support of the Netanyahu's and the IDF war crimes.  All you have to do is remember how fervently the Republicans defended Abu Ghraib, waterboarding, "enhanced interrogation", Blackwater crimes in Iraq, and every other atrocity committed by the US in the name of the Global War on Terror.

As we solemnly recall the 11th of November, I pause to thank President Biden for a second consecutive Armistice/Veterans Day without an open US overseas conflict.  No new VFW memberships will be filled today.

But, besides the half-hearted ThankyouforyourService bromides you can't find a conservative today who talks about the Veterans of the Global War on Terror or the Iraq War or Afghanistan.  20 years ago Republicans and Rightwingers declared the so-called War on Terror the single most titanic clash of civilizations since the Cold War and the defining monumental struggle of the 21st century.  Today, nothing...

It's one of the most shameful actions of mass forgetting by Rightwingers in US History.  Additionally, while I don't slam Democrats who couldn't stand against the tide of war back then I understand it's de rigueur to claim the Democrats weren't even a tepid non-resistance to the Rush to War and were more than willing accomplices.  The cool cynics ape the declaration that there is one party in America; the War Party with two branches (left and right).  

But, let's be clear any candidate who was against the AUMF didn't stand a chance in 2004, yes Bernie Bros, beloved Bernie Sanders didn't run for President in 2004 because he knew he'd be annihilated.  And yes Racist Ron Paul's rEVOLution didn't come out until 2008. And Republicans ran on WAR in the 2002 midterms and won. 

But, by 2016 the Corporate Media was more than willing to let Rightwingers engage in the time honored America tradition of revisionist history and cast the blame for the GWoT mainly onto President Obama and HRC.  No one should forget the Maureen Dowd ridiculous too cute alliteration column Donald the Dove, Hillary the Hawk.

By 2021, after not covering the Afghan War for years when President Biden extricated the United States from Afghanistan Dick Engel raged at the loss of his War Boner and news agencies cultivated Lara Logan's insanity as the Corporate Media declared the End of the Occupation after 20 fucking years to be the greatest blunder in US foreign policy ever.  It was shameless and ridiculous, untrue and galling.  So if you think the Corporate Media would have laid off an anti-War candidate instead of constantly hounding anyone who stood against the GWoT in 2002 and 2004 you're either fooling yourself or a fool.

In fact, the only Republicans who talk about the War on Terror today are those running for office who inflate, exaggerate, and lie about their service records.  J.R. Majewski, that doughy lard-ass, continued to claim throughout the year his deployments are sooooooo classified that he can't show them to anyone after it was shown he completely lied about his military service.  Tyler Kistner in Minnesota was caught claiming combat experience when he had none.  Kistner, who claimed 4 combat tours took a page from Majewski and claimed his military action was so sensitive, "even basic details could help foreign adversaries."

This is really shameless.  But, Majewski and Kistner still received over 100,000 votes in their respective House races, though both fortunately lost.  But, I did't expect any rightwinger to not vote for these two Republican Liars.  Rightwingers are sheep and drones.  Remember every accusation by a rightwinger is a confession, they only care about power.  Rightwingers long ago jettisoned their so-called values, ethics, morals, beliefs, all that matters to them now is gaining the power of government to enforce their agenda of hatred, intolerance, and oppression.

So, understand The Military writ large isn't actually a bastion of conservatives anymore, even if psychotic Rightwing lunatics infest the ranks of Admirals and Generals..  It's not the Reagan 1980's anymore.  The majority of veterans in the 21st century are liberal.  The majority of Veterans and active duty voted for Joe Biden in 2020.    

Republicans and Rightwingers don't represent America anymore and have nothing to offer the American people but, violence and lies.  Veterans and active duty service members know and can sense this and it's why Republicans are steadily drifting away from helping and addressing Veterans issues and why in the 2022 elections Wisconsin Republicans committed election fraud via military ballots and sought to throw out overseas military ballots.

Republicans hate Veterans.  The GOP doesn't give a rat's hind tit about Veterans and never has.  Republicans only support Veterans like Tom Cotton, who call for using the US Military to put down Americans seeking to express their rights to speech and assembly. 

 

Republicans see Veterans and active duty service members as naught but little tokens to be used and tossed aside if one becomes broken or unresponsive to the rightwing agenda of hatred, intolerance and oppression.  And Republicans don't give a shit if you know it anymore.

The Republicans in the Senate voted against funding for Veterans affected by the toxic miasma which emanated from the burn pits used throughout Global War on Terror.  Republicans callous disregard for Veterans is borne from the fact that the majority of Republican Chickenhawk Warmongers didn't serve and don't know anything about the Bush/Cheney Wars and don't give a shit about Veterans except to use them as props for their re-election campaigns.

Once again we have a situation in this country were Republicans have been allowed to get away with claiming they love the troops, they support the troops, they cherish the troops while their actions are wholly, diametrically in opposition but, the Corporate Media has always let Republicans get away with such lies about everything. 

For years, Republicans paid lip service to Supportin' the Troops and Thank You For Your Service and Wounded Warriors.  It was all a con.  It was all a facade.  It was all a lie.  Republicans hate Veterans and see their healthcare as an unacceptable drain.  For Republicans Veterans and The Troops have always been a rhetorical cudgel to bash the left; for instance War Crimes Cheerleader Sean Hannity in the 2000's the only way to support the troops was to unquestioningly support the Iraq War and march in lock-step behind W(orst POTUS Ever).  Recall that Sean Hannity had his Oliver North/Hannity Freedom Alliance Charity concerts ostensibly for Wounded Veterans and their children's college funds but, in reality was little more than a way to funnel charitable donations into Hannity's bank account.

There is nothing good about this; but, this does highlight something Republicans aren't ready to accept or face.  They've lost any presumptive advantage amongst Veterans, even if conservatives are unwilling to accept it.  During the Phony GWoT, conservatives by and large eschewed military service.  And the Chickenhawk cowardice of right-wingers was noted and seen by a lot of the younger generation.  Hence in 2020, active duty service members and Veterans voted for Biden over Trump.  Because they see how they are actually disrespected and mistreated by the cowardly GOP.

According to reporting in the Armytimes and MarineCorpstimes, Donald Trump wants an expanded military able to project military power in multiple theaters simultaneously.

Trump wants an active-duty Army with another 60,000 soldiers in the ranks, an unspecified number of additional sailors to man the 78 ships and submarines he intends to see built in coming years. He wants up to 12,000 more Marines to serve in infantry and tank battalions, and at least another 100 combat aircraft for the Air Force. 

Where is he going to get the extra Americans from? Right-Wingers love to talk up the military but shy away from actually joining and doing the work. Conservatives shirk duty at every opportunity.

But, during the Global War on Terror (GWoT) sometimes known as World War IV to Conservatives (Ronnie Raygun having won World War III against the Soviet Union by himself), Young Conservatives eschewed military service. During W(orst POTUS Ever) misadministration military Recruiters, under massive pressure to make quotas, were driven to signing up gangbangers and white supremacists to fill vacanies which conservatives were reluctant to fill. But, conservatives were more than willing to fight the battle on the homefront; Attacking liberals, defaming anti-war activists, and joining the couch-borne keyboard commandoes.

However, during the year-long 2016 Presidential Race, conservatives adopted a mealy-mouthed anti-war stance, which they really didn't believe. Right-Wingers and their media sychophants assured America that Trump hated Wars, especially Iraq. Of course, Iraq really was entirely the fault of HRC and her 30 year reign as Emperor of America. The vote totals probably indicate Trump's new found anti-Iraq War stance didn't sway anti-war people into Trump's camp but, it did afford ratfvckers like Glenn Greenwald and Jill Stein cover to go after HRC while minimalizing the world-wide danger represented by Donald Trump.

So, what we are seeing is a repeat of Reaganomics. Massive deficit spending on the military. Jobs creation focused on the military; more soldiers, more contractors, more non-military support staff.

Remember that for every soldier, airmen, sailor, or Marine in uniform you're talking at least 9 non-military personnel added.

Trump has promised to build a Marine Corps capable of simultaneously winning two wars. It would be based on 36 battalions, up from the current force structure of 24 active-duty infantry battalions, two active-duty tank battalions and supporting units. That means adding between 8,000 and 12,000 more Marines to the service’s roster, another potentially expensive personnel plus-up dependent on a significant influx of new funding.   Using the fiscal 2017 personnel costs as a base, that could total more than $1 billion per year just in personnel costs, before equipment and training are factored in. 

But, when coupled with the right-wing moronic lunatics Trump is proposing former Marine Corps General James Mattis for Secretary of Defense and General Mike Flynn for National Security Advisor it's time to realize the United States is about to enter two new wars in the Middle East; i.e. An invasion of Syria to unleash Trump's secret smarter than the generals plan to fight ISIS and a ramping up of tensions with Iran under the leadership of Warmonger Senators Tom Cotton and John McCain until Trump declares war to distract the American people.

So, as conservatives get their war back on, challenge them over and over to enlist and put their asses on the line instead just talking tough. But, get ready for Generation: Chicken Hawk 2.0.

Stand with Rand? Glenn Greenwald blubbers about Drones defends his support of the Iraq War.

Glenn Greenwald has declared that President Obama is worse than Dick Cheney. Because Obama, unlike Cheney, never infringed on an American's Constitutional Rights the way Obama did by authroizing a Drone Strike on Anwar al-Awaki (and his son).

What is this? Did the backlash against executive power take this long to foment in Greenwald? Does Glenn Greenwald feel frightened that Obama, who is worse than Cheney, is going to send a Drone Strike against him for speaking out?

What's actually happening is Glenn Greenwald is like John Wayne. Wayne chicken hawked his way out of World War II and in response became a jingoistic warmonger and arch-conservative. Greenwald supported the Phony GWoT and Iraq War Crime and now to make up for it he's become a lunatic anarcho-libertarian declaring all Government Action to be the illegal Use of Force.

I did support the war in Afghanistan and, living in New York, believed the rhetoric about the threat of Islamic extremism.  

At worst, I was guilty of apathy and passivity. I did nothing for or against it because I assumed that those in positions to exercise adversarial scrutiny – in journalism and politics – were doing that. 

I had not abandoned my trust in the Bush administration. Between the president’s performance in the wake of the 9/11 attacks, the swift removal of the Taliban in Afghanistan, and the fact that I wanted the president to succeed, because my loyalty is to my country and he was the leader of my country, I still gave the administration the benefit of the doubt.  

I believed then that the president was entitled to have his national security judgment deferred to, and to the extent that I was able to develop a definitive view, I accepted his judgment that American security really would be enhanced by the invasion of this sovereign country.

The swift removal of the Taliban? He assumed others were scrutinizing the Rush to War. Loyalty to My Country! I deferred to Bush's Judgement.

As the 10 year mark of that bloody debacle hits home, it's amazing to watch those who participated in bilking the American People whitewash themselves of their guilt. I think that in order to prove himself, Greenwald will equate Obama's policies with Hitler at every opportunity. It's a powerful display. Hundreds of Thousands of Sunnis, Shias, Afghans, Pastuns, and others killed during the a Multi-Trillion Dollar Theft of Generations and Glenn will spare no effort over Drones?

Drones are tools and weapons. All the hand-wringing over their use in the Phony GWoT* is a mistake. Drones are a valuable tool which allows infiltration deep into hostile territory for targeted killings. Why send in a SEAL Team or conventional forces when a Drone can accomplish the task?

Drones for Domestic Use are also not a concern. Drones simply fall under the Use of Force and the 4th Amendment.

It makes no difference if a person is killed by bullets, blood chokes, burning or drone strike. Dead is Dead.

And under US Law (reviewed by multiple SCOTUS rulings and written into State Laws) Killing someone is considered the Ultimate Seizure under the 4th Amendment.

For Reference the applicable reviews of the 4th Amendment are:

• Graham v. Conner (1989)
• Tennessee v. Garner (1985)

Drones and their use gained massive blog-o-sphere attention after the Filibuster of the Director of the CIA by Senator Rand Paul. Couch-Borne Commandos and Self-Styled Champions of Liberty,as long as Liberty isn't Black people getting equal rights, like Senator Paul may have a problem with Drones but that's only because they've never been shot at or had to go hands on with a criminal.

Make no mistake if you've allied yourself with Rand Paul on this you're siding with John C. Calhoun before the Civil War. 

Republicans and the Right-Wing Fart Bubble only mention Drones as a smear tactic against President Obama.

Now, there may be arguments to be made against the Use of Drones. But, if you're mad that President Obama is using Drones in and of themselves you are wrong.

If there had been a Drone available to use against Christopher Dorner (Or against the Newest Second Amendment Hero Kurt Myers) then it should have been authorized and used.

Remember Dorner had already killed 4 people. He published a manifesto in which he stated he was going to kill as many people as possible. Some only tangentially connected. On the day of his death he shot two more Deputies, killing one, carjacked a couple and holed up in house firing numerous rounds at the surrounding officers.

Against a person, such as Dorner, does Glenn Greenwald or Senator Paul demand we send in single officers one at a time to face them man-o y man-o?

Now, Greenwald did write a column asking whether "[A]n armed drone should be dispatched against Dorner?"

But, while Greenwald believed it to be a good thought experiment about "Due Process" and his belief that Drones represent a massive violation of civil liberties, it highlighted the misunderstanding of seizures under the 4th Amendment (again killing someone being the ultimate seizure) and the Use of Force.

Apparently, Greenwald believes "Due Process" entitles a person to this level of warning:

If you believe that a Government should not be killing it's citizens, ever, that's a legitimate debatable position. But, Drones aren't used for the killing of incarcerated persons.

If  you're concerned about Drones being used for surveillance, well unless you are complaining about Cameras in high-crime areas, wire-taps, and police officers with binoculars then it seems an arbitrary concern.

If you believe the President does not have the authority to use Drones for targeted killings overseas then your complaint is with Congress. Force Congress to exert their constitutionally-mandated War Powers Role and have them vote to seize back that power by removing authorization. 

There might be legitimate concerns about the Use of Drones and there should be oversight and legal guidelines but they are nothing more than a tool. Every tool can be misused.

*- The War on Terror has a War Crime of Epic Proportions and has lead to thousands of unnecessary deaths and criminal theft of Trillions. As such it should be ended. But, the Drone Strikes aren't the worst thing about it.

Mitt Romney and the Republicans are equivalent to Saddam's Republican Guard

Democratic Illinois Senator Dick Durbin tried to pass an Amendment to S. 1867 the National Defense Authorization Act for fiscal year 2012. The Amendment was defeated 38-60. The Amendment was to stop the bill's proposal to declare the United States a battleground in the Phony GWoT. 43 Republicans voted against the Amendment. That is they voted to keep the language in the Bill which allows the US military to indefinitely detain suspected Al Qaeda members and anyone else the Government deems an "enemy combatant".

And here you thought the Bush/Cheney Torture/Extraordinary Rendition/With-Us-Or-Against-Us language would only apply to them damn Terrorists.

Too bad you didn't listen to the Leftists and Anti-War crowd when they raised the alarm about the most corrupt, most anti-American Administration and then choose to blame it on the black guy. The Republican Party is equivalent to Saddam Hussein's Republican Guard. Only 2 Republican Senators, Mark Kirk and Rand Paul, chose to stand for the US Constitution and Freedom.

What's next in the Republican Plan of Attack; a Bill entitled House-a-Soldier in Your Home to help offset the Budgetary costs of the DoD?

Because that's what Mitt Romney advocated in a speech less than a month ago. Romney declared he would eliminate Medicaid;

"And I would apply the $600 billion [in cuts] that were anticipated being imposed upon the military, I would take those and apply them to other parts of the federal budget. One of them, of course, would be to take something like Medicaid, which is our health care program for the poor, and return that program to the states."

Of course, now we can see why the Republicans are in favor of declaring the United States a war zone. After they steal Social Security, eliminate health care for the poor, stop funding Pell Grants, and impose Slavery Measures err... "Austerity" Measures on the American People they are going to need the military to quell the Domestic disturbances they are engendering.

Of course, even if the Republican Plan to use the US Military to quell Domestic disturbances falls through Blackwater (Xe) and Erik Prince have made it clear they will eliminate Democratic Opposition to the Republican Guard. Erik Prince, now hailing from parts unknown, let it be known he would "eliminate" Jan Schakowsky for her daring to question his Mercenary Army and the Billions Blackwater stole through no-bid contracts pushed through by the Bush/Cheney Presidency.

So, get used to America. The Plutocracy wants the Middle Class destroyed and the Republicans are the just like Saddam Hussein's Republican Guard ready, willing, and able to accomplish the mission.
