Every August Republicans and Fox News lie about Afghanistan to smear Joe Biden, Republicans repeatedly piss on "The Troops"

In August 2021, after having overseen the end of the useless and futile Afghanistan Occupation, conservatives began an on-line campaign to blame Biden for everything.

While the narrative of Afghanistan withdrawal debacle was aided by War Boner Dick Engle and loony Lara Logan, and uncritically promoted by the Corporate Media an overnight rumor spread rapidly an rightwing Twitter that neither President Biden, nor Vice President Harris, nor anyone from the Biden Administration had gone to meet the last 13 returning service members slain during the withdrawal, during their dignified transfer.  This lie quickly caught fire amongst the right as pictures of C-5 Galaxy's landing at Dover AFB without President Biden and pictures of President Biden's "official" White House schedule  circulating without mention of attending Dover AFB.  This caught the eyes of several prominent Republican congresspukes, former Trump officials, and the eyes of Faux News Liars who ran with the story.

Because as Joe Rogan says about every piece of rightwing trash he regurgitates without pause, “It’s got to be a real thing … it seems too good to not be … damn it, it better not be fake." 

Even after their story feel apart rightwingers attempted to keep it somewhat alive by claiming their outrage had forced President Sleepy Joe Biden to scramble and rearrange his schedule to make the landing.  Because what's important is too push those emotional buttons in the rightwing reptile brain, to get them riled up, to keep conservatives in a constant state of frenzied anger.  By the time reality intercedes all rightwingers remember is that they were mad at Joe Biden and Joe Biden must have done something to make them mad.

So, it should come as no surprise that Faux News ran a story about the family of USMC Sgt Nicole Gee, having to pay $60,000 out of their own pocket to have her remains flown to Arlington National Cemetery for final burial.  Two Republican House Assholes Cory Mills and Kevin Kiley went public and told Fox News, this was an outrage!

Except, of course, it wasn't true.  As always Republican love lies and always, always, always remember that Republicans shit on Veterans and use the bodies of the dead to advance their political agenda.  The point was to get conservatives outraged, the truth hardly matters to Republicans.  And once the lie became to much to maintain, Fox News simply deleted the story.  Drats!  Well, I'm certain they think, their next lie to slander Biden will catch on and they can always run a Hunter Biden dic pic for clicks!  And after all some rightwingers will still believe the initial lie anyways.

The Kabul 13 they call them... what a slap in the face.  What a despicable use of the the dead.  Selective "waving of the bloody shirt."  As if no one else fucking died over there.  As if Joe Biden bears the responsibility of 20 years of pipe dreams of Nation building or Trump's 2020 Art of the Deal with the Taliban.  As if Republicans give a rat's hind tit about Veterans or service members when they demonstrably don't, like last August when Senate Republicans fist-bumped after blocking key components of Veterans healthcare coverage.

It's outrageous the rhetoric around Afghanistan.  President Biden extricates us from a 20 year hole and not only doesn't he get credit (from anyone) he gets the blame.  That Marines who died in the last battle of a failed war were infants when I was in the same land they would later die in, doesn't make me angry at President Biden, instead I thank him for having the courage to end it so some 18 year old yet unborn today won't die in 2041 in Afghanistan.  

Republicans hate America.  Hate Americans.  And hate everyone who doesn't aid them in their agenda of intolerance and oppression.  So, of course, of fucking course, they will shamelessly lie about the treatment of the dead bodies they use as propaganda.

As we solemnly recall the 11th of November, I pause to thank President Biden for a second consecutive Armistice/Veterans Day without an open US overseas conflict.  No new VFW memberships will be filled today.

But, besides the half-hearted ThankyouforyourService bromides you can't find a conservative today who talks about the Veterans of the Global War on Terror or the Iraq War or Afghanistan.  20 years ago Republicans and Rightwingers declared the so-called War on Terror the single most titanic clash of civilizations since the Cold War and the defining monumental struggle of the 21st century.  Today, nothing...

It's one of the most shameful actions of mass forgetting by Rightwingers in US History.  Additionally, while I don't slam Democrats who couldn't stand against the tide of war back then I understand it's de rigueur to claim the Democrats weren't even a tepid non-resistance to the Rush to War and were more than willing accomplices.  The cool cynics ape the declaration that there is one party in America; the War Party with two branches (left and right).  

But, let's be clear any candidate who was against the AUMF didn't stand a chance in 2004, yes Bernie Bros, beloved Bernie Sanders didn't run for President in 2004 because he knew he'd be annihilated.  And yes Racist Ron Paul's rEVOLution didn't come out until 2008. And Republicans ran on WAR in the 2002 midterms and won. 

But, by 2016 the Corporate Media was more than willing to let Rightwingers engage in the time honored America tradition of revisionist history and cast the blame for the GWoT mainly onto President Obama and HRC.  No one should forget the Maureen Dowd ridiculous too cute alliteration column Donald the Dove, Hillary the Hawk.

By 2021, after not covering the Afghan War for years when President Biden extricated the United States from Afghanistan Dick Engel raged at the loss of his War Boner and news agencies cultivated Lara Logan's insanity as the Corporate Media declared the End of the Occupation after 20 fucking years to be the greatest blunder in US foreign policy ever.  It was shameless and ridiculous, untrue and galling.  So if you think the Corporate Media would have laid off an anti-War candidate instead of constantly hounding anyone who stood against the GWoT in 2002 and 2004 you're either fooling yourself or a fool.

In fact, the only Republicans who talk about the War on Terror today are those running for office who inflate, exaggerate, and lie about their service records.  J.R. Majewski, that doughy lard-ass, continued to claim throughout the year his deployments are sooooooo classified that he can't show them to anyone after it was shown he completely lied about his military service.  Tyler Kistner in Minnesota was caught claiming combat experience when he had none.  Kistner, who claimed 4 combat tours took a page from Majewski and claimed his military action was so sensitive, "even basic details could help foreign adversaries."

This is really shameless.  But, Majewski and Kistner still received over 100,000 votes in their respective House races, though both fortunately lost.  But, I did't expect any rightwinger to not vote for these two Republican Liars.  Rightwingers are sheep and drones.  Remember every accusation by a rightwinger is a confession, they only care about power.  Rightwingers long ago jettisoned their so-called values, ethics, morals, beliefs, all that matters to them now is gaining the power of government to enforce their agenda of hatred, intolerance, and oppression.

So, understand The Military writ large isn't actually a bastion of conservatives anymore, even if psychotic Rightwing lunatics infest the ranks of Admirals and Generals..  It's not the Reagan 1980's anymore.  The majority of veterans in the 21st century are liberal.  The majority of Veterans and active duty voted for Joe Biden in 2020.    

Republicans and Rightwingers don't represent America anymore and have nothing to offer the American people but, violence and lies.  Veterans and active duty service members know and can sense this and it's why Republicans are steadily drifting away from helping and addressing Veterans issues and why in the 2022 elections Wisconsin Republicans committed election fraud via military ballots and sought to throw out overseas military ballots.

A Landslide Victory for President Barack Obama. This is a Center-Left Nation.

332 Electoral Votes. 3 Million more Popular Votes and rising. Ohio, Virginia, Florida and all the other true battleground states. Five of the last Six Presidential Elections have been won by Democrats.

This is a Liberal Country. A Center-Left Nation.

We need to hammer that home to every day to combat the lies of Faux News and Toxic Conservative Radio, which will work to undo the clear liberal mandate handed to President Obama.

But, President Obama faces big challenges now.

First up is Sequestration and the "Fiscal Cliff". Centrists and Republicans will demand Austerity and point to the big divide in the American populace as necessitating The Grand Bargain.

The American People just overwhelmingly rejected The Ryan Buget and the politics of Austerity. We are tired of 30 years of the Republican Economic model of Pissing Down Our Back and Telling Us it's Raining Prosperity. This is a clear mandate to eliminate the Bush Tax Cuts and Reaganomics.

We said No to the Right-Wing model and President Obama needs to say No. The President doesn't need to move halfway to meet the Republicans.

The Grand Bargain is giant screw-job for the Poor and Middle Class. We need to resist, resist, resist. No  cuts to Medicare, No reductions to Medicaid, No stealing Social Security for degenerate Wall Street gamblers to flinch.

We need tighter and further regulations on Wall Street. We need to re-empower the SEC. We need to readopt a Financial Transaction Tax to curb the rampant speculation and Hedge Fund gambling associated with Wall Street. President Obama needs to stand next to Senator Elizabeth Warren as she battles for the American People against the Vultures.

The American people did not vote for cuts they voted for much higher Taxes on Millionaires and Billionaires, the elimination of tax subsidies to Oil Conglomerates, effective collection of taxes on Giant Corporate tax cheats, and fair taxes on Capital Gains and Income made by investments.

We need to impose tariffs on foreign made crap, let's make IPhones here in the United States,  and punish the Wal Marts and Bain Capital which make money drowning the American manufacturing base and off-shoring jobs.

The Housing Market is still a shambles. Getting out from under the rubble of the Bush Housing Bubble and Republican Recession is going to take time. Austan Goolsebee stated, we have 5 million vacant houses and $700 Billion in negative housing equity. Housing is huge problem.

Next is getting us out of Afghanistan and actually Reducing our Foreign Empire and bloated Warmonger Budget. We need to close bases around the world, we need to scrap wasteful spending on a blue water Navy, we need push to reduce the Drone Campaign. We need to cut the fraud, waste and abuse of the DoD by $500 Billion.

Our involvement in Libya needs to be questioned. And I don't mean Benghazi. Benghazi and Libya are part of a Covert CIA Operation. Republicans aren't going to delve too deeply into it because the more they expose in their baseless partisan witch hunt the more blowback they will create for US abroad and for Republicans within the Intelligence Community.

But, Congress does need to step up and take back control of Military involvement overseas. This is a huge problem as Presidents have expanded their control and played word games to get around the power to declare War invested in the Congress. But, this Congress and previous ones are also culpable because of the Trillions they've given to profligate warmongers and because they are afraid to stop paying to the DoD and Pentagon.

Right now is a time to take a few celebratory victory breathes. Unfortunately, there is a lot of work to get America going away from the policies which aid only the Wealthy and Powerful and make this a country reflect the Liberal Ideas that the American people hold.

This rejection of the Right-Wing went further than just President Obama's landslide. Republicans Richard Mourdock, Todd Akin, Tommy Thompson, Denny Rehnberg were all decisively defeated in the Senate. Elizabeth Warren trounced Tea Party darling Scott Brown. Two of the biggest incendarity Republican bomb throwers, Allen West and Joe Walsh, were kicked out of the House. While the straight talking Alan Grayson was voted back in by a 2-1 margain.

Republican Mitch Daniels spits in the faces of the Troops

Republican Mitch Daniels, a rumored Romney VP choice, spit in the faces of every service member in the US Military, at home but especially abroad, when he stated we are in "Peacetime".

"Well, you know, he's been the president of this nation for the three years in which we have drifted ever closer to the biggest peacetime crisis we may have ever faced. There's no doubt it. It's a mathematical certainty."

In Mitch Daniels' Zeal to blame Republicans financial failures on President Obama, Mitch conveniently ignored the fact that George W. Bush's Afghanistan War is still going on.

The only "mathematical certainty" Mitch Daniels knows about, is the one in which he aided President George W(orst Ever) Bush in keeping the massive War budget deficits off the Books, so that Republicans could claim Bush didn't spend that much.

What a crock of shit. This is as shameless as Republicans and conservatives claiming George W. Bush inherited 9/11!

Mitch Daniels and every Republican is involved in the biggest shell game in History. Republicans utterly controlled America from 2001-2006, the Trillions of Dollars they siphoned off and transferred to the Plutocracy and the internal destruction they wrought upon the Nation is still choking US. Yet, they've spent 3+ years trying to shift the blame on President Obama. 

I guess no one could blame Republicans for not wanting to take Responsibility for their actions! George Bush and Mitch Daniels Legacy is 9/11 and Recession.

So, how do Republicans cover their atrocious record? Spit on the Troops and say it's "Peacetime". Once again Republicans use the Troops to further the evil destruction of the Middle Class and the subjugation of the 99% as Wage Slaves in Corporate Bondage.

So, why didn't he sign up and head on over to Afghanistan? ISAF has a Norwegian component which currently leads the PRT in Meymaneh.

The lessons to take away from this are carry a piece and be ready to pre-emptively use it if:
- someone starts bemoaning the rise of Marxism,
- someone on steriods is listening to cheesy faux-classical music,
- you see a blonde christian walking towards you,
- a person wearing a tri-cornered hat is carrying an AR-15,
- you're attending a Liberal political gathering and Andrew Breitbart attempts to crash it.

I wonder how the Right will attack President Obama over this successful Operation. The Most Important Operation since the 9/11 attacks occurred under President Bush.

Sean Hannity, Dana Perino, World Nut Daily, R. Limbaugh, Glenn Beck, Free Republic, Ralph Peters, Charles Krauthammer, Mitt Romney, and every ignorant Tea bagger conservative’s blog have proclaimed President Obama is not fully committed to killing America’s Enemies. Again the Right is heavily invested in their tangled tapestry of fabrications and lies about Obama. Again it is a matter of faith amongst the Right. The Divine Word has been revealed, there's a Kenyan born anti-colonial, un-American, sharia lovin' man in the White House! No amount of evidence shall shake their preconceived prejudice.

So, what kind of mental gymnastics and contortions will the Right go through to justify their ignorance and malice? My best estimation is that Faux will make some slurs towards President Clinton not getting Bin Laden, every Wingnut blog will shout Waterboarding and the GOP's potential candidates will credit Bush’s torturous codpiece for laying the groundwork.

Also I've been reading Wingnut blogs for over 2 years who've been demanding there be a time limit on blaming Bush for nearly destroying America. Yet, now these same bloggers, in this case Ralph the Malcontent, are giving Bush the credit for this Operation, Inherited It from Bush?!!!

I can't blame them. The conservative strategy has always been to blame their failures on Liberals and take the credit for things Liberals achieve. It works. It keeps conservatives stupid and duped and voting for Republicans.

What Faux and their conservative drones will not do is recognize that President Obama’s policy towards Pakistan is largely responsible for this victory. Do you remember that for 2 and half years conservatives snidely mocked Obama for pronouncing Pakistan correctly. And then Commander Codpiece and ½ Governor Palin had this to say back in 2008;

“The only foreign policy thing I remember he said was he’s going to attack Pakistan…” George W. Bush

This is an important victory. This could be the catalyst that allows Obama to extricate US from the grip of the Warmongers. Hopefully, President Obama will have the moral courage to draw down our military presence and allow the UN to take over nation-building in Afghanistan.

Additionally, I wonder about that supposed “escape” of 500 Taliban in Afghanistan a month ago. It could be that a deep undercover operative was planted in the prison and the escape attempt was allowed to succeed in order that the operative could make an eyes on identification of UBL.

It's all part of the criminal Republican Party Corporate Welfare Gang's plan to ceaselessly Privatize Profits and Subsidize Losses and their Socialist Pathology of funneling Trillions of Dollars to the Gang of Corporate Criminals.

In this new Truth: 9/11 was inherited, the Iraq War was a rousing success, the economy never tanked until ACORN began receiving billions of dollars and Fannie and Freddie all-of-a-sudden began giving out millions to the unemployed to purchase Tear Down McMansions.

And the battered and cowed supporters of the Republican party, who desperately want to believe Republicans are moral upright christians, flag waving war heroes and fiscally responsible let themselves be played by the Immoral Deviants, Chicken Hawk Cowards and Socialist Kleptocrats which comprise the unscrupulous debauched Modern Republican Party.

Obama is Winning Afghanistan

So says General Stanley McChrystal.

"Have you done it? Have you turned the tide?" Diane Sawyer asked the General.

"I believe we're doing that now. I believe that we have changed the way we operate in Afghanistan. We changed some of our structures and I believe that we are on the way to convincing the Afghan people that we are here to protect them. We've been at this for about seven months now and I believe we've made progress," he told Sawyer.

But, the Punks and Hypocrites on the Right are in a trick bag if Obama's Strategy works in Afghanistan after 7 months when Super America Defenders Bush and Cheney allowed the situation to languish for 8 years. They'll have to figure out a way to undercut the President and downplay the news while not attacking McChrystal.

So, the bigoted vegetative Obama Haters will get their dander up and bellow, Obama doesn't say War on Terror enough! and Why did Obama wait so long? or We're succeeding despite the Chicago Machine and ACORN! and Sarah Palin would have gone over and subdued the Al Qaeda guys because jesus choose her!

Because the Punk Ass Bitches, Bullies and Chicken Hawks on the Right have to lie, lie, lie to convince the American People Obama loves Terrorists in order to realize their goal which is Republican Control of Government. That's all they care about, they don't care about protecting America, or the rights of americans or religious freedoms or pollution, all the REMFpublican Party wants is to regain control because then they can undercut programs to aid the poor, remove taxes from the Corporate Masters and murder Americans.

That's the 3 Things Republicans love to do: Funnel Taxes to the Rich, Screw the Poor, Murder Americans.

However, I don't necessarily agree with General McChrystal. 4GW warfare is an ebb and flow and has the nasty habit of flaring up time and again after an area is "pacified". And I would rather leave Afghanistan to the locals than sacrifice one more American for the Dollars flowing to the Makers of Death and Destruction.

Navy SEALs don't = Charlie Sheen but Chicago Ray = Chicken Hawk Ray

Often the Right wants to blame Obama for everything they can. It's an excellent form of attack because while more educated Republicans may understand the Birthers are insane they feel no compunctions in allowing them to spout their insanities because it helps get evil men like Dick Cheney and Karl Rove into power.

With President Obama being the C-in-C, a standard avenue of assault from Chicken Hawk Conservatives has been to attack him for not understanding the military. (While I could tangent off onto Conservatives quiet acquiescence of Bush's blatant disregard for military readiness and troop welfare throughout his tenure I will refrain).

So, the Punks on the Right have attacked Obama for decisions ranging from the tactical level, the Somali Pirate Standoff, to the Strategic National Policy level, the long term strategy for Afghanistan. Sometimes the Terrorist Punk Ass Bitch Right wants Obama to ignore the Generals and sometimes they don't...

In Afghanistan, Fox News often lead the charge with castigating Obama for not immediately giving General Stanely McChrystal, his requested amount of troops. The principle is simple. Now that a Democrat is in office the concept of Civilian control of the military is wrong and will result in the Terrorists winning.

The attacks on Obama based on misunderstanding of the Military and Chain of Command is an easy sell to the Right because the vast majority of the Punk Ass Bitches who comprise the Republican Party or are Conservatives are Chicken Hawk Cowards who've never served a day in the military even though Fox News declared the GWOT to be a more difficult fight than the struggle against the Nazis and Imperial Japan.

A recent incident in the GWOT has 3 Navy SEALs facing court-martial. The 3 are charged with allegedly assaulting Ahmed Hashim Abed, on 09/01/09 at Camp Schweidler in Iraq, and each declined NJP (Non-Judical Punishment) and requested Trial by Courts Martial, which is their right.

And in steps the misunderstanding of Chain-of-Command. Because the Right Wing Obama Hating Terrorists declare the Court Martial is the fault of President Obama and Liberals. Buffalo Grove, Illinois native Chicago Ray summed up his view on the charges brought up against 3 Navy SEALs in a post titled; Today's the first step in the liberal loon rape of the bravest and best America has to offer.

Personally, I don't believe the SEALs should be tried but their superior officers are duty bound to investigate the mater and it is upon their recommendation and investigation that the Trial is commencing. U.S. Special Operations Command Central brought the SEALs up on charges on 10/02/09.

Lost amongst the Obama Afghanistan War Surge was the tacit and quickly ignored conclusive proof that President Bush purposely allowed OBL to escape from Tora Bora.

The Senate Committee on Foreign Relations finally got around to telling America that President Bush ordered the US Military to allow his buddy Osama Bin Laden to get away. I don't know if John Kerry got a copy of Kill Bin Laden by Dalton Fury but the Senate Report references Fury's book extensively.

As to Obama's acceptance of more war... There is a difference between starting 4GW Wars of Choice like Bush/Cheney did and inheriting the cluster fuck of guerilla wars from Republican Chicken Hawk Cowards but I had hoped for more from President Obama than to be subsumed into the Pentagon's Warmongering Military Industrial Complex.

Hillary Clinton has always been a warmonger, ready to use the military for National Interests but I thought National Security Advisor and Former USMC Commandant James Jones skepticism may have carried the day and convinced Obama to not escalate but begin the draw down and exit.

Jones explained: "You can keep on putting troops in, and you could have 200,000 troops there and Afghanistan will swallow them up as it has done in the past. We need a better plan with the allies to gradually turn over responsibility for the country to Afghan institutions and organizations in as short a time as possible."

I haven't heard about the mad rush by Young Republicans (YR's) or Young Conservatives (YC's) to fill the slots needed by ISAF Commander General Stanley McChrystal to win in Afghanistan. The YC's resistance and fighting here on American Colleges is too important and the YR's are too busy fighting here on the home front against Islamo-Hitler to finish the job Superhero Bush and Ditherless Cheney began 8 years ago. Or maybe all the slots were filled by ethnic minorities while they DeLay'ed and by other Americans in tough financial straits or lacking health coverage?

Well, you can't expect the gutless flabby Chicken Hawk Punk Ass Bitch Republicans to actually fight! They merely goad people on and leave the fighting to be done by others.

Perhaps, secretly, the Chicken Hawks agree with US State Department Official Matthew Hoh (and former Marine) who resigned his position in Zabul Province because of opposition to continuing the Afghan War. Hoh stated in his resignation letter, "I find it specious the reasons we ask for bloodshed and sacrifice form our young men and women in Afghanistan" and "I do not believe any military force has ever been tasked with complex , opaque and Sisyphean mission as the U.S. military has received in Afghanistan." But, Chicken Hawk Punk Ass Bitch Republicans will publicly call for more troops and more war if they think it will help their political aspirations all the while harboring no intention of ever putting their pasty asses in the fire.

There are only two servicemen, killed in Afghanistan, Chicken Hawk War Proponents can name, Pat Tillman and Joshua Bernard.

Joshua Bernard was the Marine whose tragic death was seen by Americans safely ensconced in their homes, office buildings and EIB Studios because the Associated Press callously defied Bernard's fathers' request to not show the photographs of his death.

But, while the Pro Human Pain and Suffering Punk Ass Bitch Republicans and Conservatives became enraged at the showing of this Marines' death it was typically for the wrong reasons. To Punk Ass Bitch Rightwingers Bernard's death is necessary because once Bernard is dead flabby crap filled REMFpublicans can besmirch his name by co-opting him.

Well, Marine Corps 1st Sgt John Bernard (retired), the father of Joshua Bernard and perhaps the only man who can speak for him wants a change in the RoE (Rules of Engagement) in the Afghan AO before more Marines and Soldiers, used as police officers and nation-builders, are killed.

The new RoE were put into affect by General McChrystal back in July when he took over the ISAF AO. His RoE calls for breaking off of contact with the enemy when said engagement threatens civilian Afghans and limits to the use of close air support (CAS) and indirect fire (arty).

Back then Never-Ending War Supporters and Punk Ass Bitch Rightwingers were skeptical of McChrystal's plan to try and limit civilian deaths. However, when McChrystal went public in his request for more forces in theater anti-Obama blogs, like Professor of Life supported McChrystal as if his word about the Afghan AO was inspired by Douglas MacArthur.

The Punk Ass Bitches of the Right would no doubt attack 1st Sgt Bernard if they could because all they care about is opposing Obama and anyone who gets in the way of the Righteous Anti-Obama War is against them. So, most likely, if any flabby Chicken Hawk Fox News Chicken Hawk becomes aware they will attempt to co-opt and use 1st Sgt Bernard to attack Obama.

The price we are paying for the Wars in Afghanistan and Iraq are not just measured in the tragic death of Americans, like Joshua Bernard, or the money stolen by Xe and other Military Industrial Complex Corporations but in the millions of small hidden fees extracted by warfare on the bodies, minds and souls of the survivors.

Any deployment of Combat Troops also includes the follow on support troops, news sites broke a story about the additional 13,000 troops Obama approved for deployment to Afghanistan corollary to the 21,000 Troop increase in March. But, this is not an Obama Apology post.

I'd like to know what War proponents think we are achieving by continuing to occupy the area and increasing the number of US service members in the Afghanistan AO. The Unites States is now in the position to defend Hamid Karzai, called disdainfully the Mayor of Kabul because of the limited scope of his authority, and his corrupt government.

Karzai's August election will only be accepted by some of the powerful Afghan Warlords if they are allowed to have a stake in the new government. This will include giving power to the likes of Gulbuddin Hekmatyar who was responsible for the fighting which destroyed Kabul (and divided the country allowing the Taliban to move in) and possibly assisted Bin Laden in escaping from Tora Bora into Pakistan when Bush purposefully allowed Bin Laden to escape rather than let Delta kill/capture him.

More importantly the US Troops are going to be occupying, policing and nation building in Afghanistan for years. And Counter Insurgencies have a nasty habit of being decades long struggles of alternating low and medium conflict.

From The NATO Afghanistan 2009 Report: Decades of conflict, a nearly non-existent national infrastructure, high levels of illiteracy, endemic poverty and chronic underdevelopment place Afghanistan 174th out of 178 countries on the UN Human Development Index. The Bonn Process provided for a Constitution,an elected President and Parliament and the beginnings of a functioning government. In early 2006, the Afghan Government and the International Community came together in London to develop a strategy for Afghanistan’s recovery. The result was the ANDS which aims to create and develop effective national, provincial and district government institutions capable of delivering basic services. It is a long-term and challenging task that has produced mixed results so far.

The question is: Is it worth it for the US to send more and more men into the AO and have those men return in flag draped coffins?

Getting and Letting (Getting In, Getting Bin Laden, Getting Out, Letting the "Afghans" figure out the rest) would seem to have been a better choice. That plan may have failed and Afghanistan could have turned into another Somalia, or the Taliban could have reclaimed power or Gulbuddin Hekmatyar and Burhanuddin Rabbani could have restarted their battle for Kabul or Heroin Drug Lords could have turned the nation into a new Golden Triangle Drug Empire or any number of terrible futures could have happened.

But what we, The US, and ISAF forces are doing now is defending an Administration, labelled by General McChrystal full of "rampant government corruption", who warns that the additional Troops he wants may not stem the Taliban's resurgence. And then it's only a short step to when the locals begin to see Karzai's government as illegitimate, the Guerilla forces as legitimate and our forces as Occupiers.

Of course, the Warfare Proponents who exert massive control over the US Government want continued war and continued transfer of wealth to their coffers. And they don't care about dead Marines and the decades long angst of everyday pains which come home when those who live.

Afghanistan = A Bag of Smushed Assholes

Bush handed Obama a shit-filled leaky plastic bag of a mismangled war in Afghanistan. Deaths have been on the rise the past two years, including the cold blooded murder of two American Soldiers by an Afghan National Police Officer.

With COIN and most guerrilla wars the campaign remains at a low simmer for years with the occasional flare up. The Insurgents only real goal is to remain alive. They do not have to conduct any operations and the occasional successful attack on the occupying force is enough to bolster their recruitment or morale while trying to provoke the occupiers into a poor heavy handed response. Insurgencies end when the occupier leaves or begins colonization of the region.

If an occupier does colonize an area the attempt can become a mass migration and displacement (The Magyars into European Hungarian plain, the Normans into Sicily, The Europeans into the Americas, The English into Australia),
Or succeed for a few years or centuries (The Berbers into Spain, the French into Indochina, the Chinese into Tibet, The English in India) and then become reversed and the conquerors leave behind a sizable minority.

Most of the recent extended 4GW conflicts of the post-world war 2 world stem from repeated colonization attempts, e.g. Ireland, Israel/Palestine, and The Balkans.

Afghanistan has always been a crossroads of empire and warfare, especially the last 30 years; following the failed Soviet attempts at subjugation of the region, the Warlord battles of Gulbuddin Hekmatyar, Burhanuddin Rabbani, Abdul Dostum, the Taliban gained control and waged campaigns against the ethnic minorites of Tajik, Uzbek and Hazara in the country, until the US and Coalition forces invaded in response to the Terror Attacks of 9/11.

Any way, 8 years later, I don't know what the mission in Afghanistan is today and the Troops in Country don't know either. I don't think Obama knows either. It's not as if we're trying to diminsh the ridiculous growth of poppies flooding the world with Heroin, but, we have set up a Government, which conducts Bush-esque fair democratic elections, killed thousands of Al Qaeda terrorists, Taliban supporters and innocents, and brought back corporations to the region and revitalized infrastructure during the 7+ years we and ISAF occupied the area. Sooooo, now why are we staying? And what would be the point in adding 50,000 more troops as General McChrystal requests?

"You can always hear the people who are willing to sacrifice somebody else's life. They're plenty loud and they talk all the time"... Uber-Patriots Sean Hannity and R. Limbaugh are attacking Obama on his strategy in Afghanistan. They demand to know his plans, they demand he listen to General McChrystal! The pure unmitigated gall, the lack of compunction of these Chicken Hawks is what I've come to expect from the cowardly Punk Ass Bitches of the Right.

There was never a word against Bush's utter colossal failures, gross negligence and incompetence in fucking over America, Afghanistan and Iraq. His failures were points of pride for these Toxic Pukes. They spent the entire time attacking Democrats and adhering to the IOKIYAR mantra. Obama has no idea what to do with the Afghan War but to his credit is taking time to meet with Advisors and analyze the Bag of Smushed Assholes he inherited from Bush. But to the Punk Ass Bitch Conservatives and REMFpublicans Obama's to blame for not immediately doubling down and supporting the mantra of War Today, War Tomorrow, War Forever!

Disrespect

Yesterday was not the day to make any post on the futility of war or perhaps it was the exact day... But, I'll not show any disrespect to the memory of those who gave the last full measure overseas for "American Interests". Even though those in power seem to have no problem continuing the Bush Regime's policy of using and discarding Marines and other Troops for Interests.

9/11 is just another day now, thankfully, I'm not one to celebrate defeat. You reflect on it and try to ensure it doesn't happen again but how?

Well the REMFpublican Chicken Hawk Party of Deferments invoked 9/11 time and again to support their policies. Everything was tied to 9/11 including the necessity of keeping them in office. While the Bush Administration was in power, those who profited off of death made Trillions of dollars and anyone who questioned the Iraq War was accused of hurting the Troops and Treason against a sitting President. That second part is of course ignored now that Barack Obama is in office, "questioning" him during wartime and bringing loaded guns to rallies decrying his Presidency is now the height of Patriotism, of course, the money still flows to the architects of fear and death.



Lost in the homeland political squabbles is that average Marine. The Bush Regime and his defenders sought to quash all dissent by hiding behind Marines, Soldiers, Airmen and Sailors they also fought to shield the American people from the sight of any blood. Lest the people knew what their pilfered tax dollars were actually buying them.

The shielding from sight the cost of war was one of the lessons REMFpublicans Bush, Cheney, Tom DeLay and the Pentagon learned from Vietnam; to control the message coming from the battlefield. You can't let the American people see the consequences of the Warfare State. But, merely restricting official media members did not stem the flow of the ugliness and evil of War. Bans on cell phone cameras and soldiers blogs (until the blogs, like through amber lenses were silenced forever) were tried at various times while unceasing war propaganda was spewed by Chicken Hawk REMFers on Fox, CNN and every other news agency in order to ensure you Don't Mention the War!

The other lesson Young and Old REMFpublicans learned from Vietnam was let other people do the actual dangerous fighting abroad because their valuable pasty pampered flabby asses were needed to fight the propaganda battle at home convincing the American people of the costs, necessities, consequences, and benefits of war, while ensuring they would never fear having their balls blown off by an IED...

However, the Bush Administration did only a semi- effective job of hiding the costs of the war from the American people. Anti-war rallies were strong yet marginalized (Two-Thirds of the American people are against the war? So?) and the collapse of the US economy in 2007 was tied directly to the profligate war profiteering and Bush tax cuts for criminals who hid the money they siphoned off using Bush's government power into Swiss bank accounts. Of course, anyone who questioned Bush's competence was attacked as a traitor and faced daily Fox Attacks even while "The Decider" bungled Afghanistan, Iraq, the response to Hurricane Katrina, the economic collapse, the shrinking and battered American middle class, justice and the years from 01/20/01 to 01/20/09...

Now, Afghanistan is on everyones mind... Again. It's a fucked place. The area hasn't been effectively controlled since Tamerlane bestrode the land like a whirlwind of primal destruction. Since then it's been a crossroads of battle as time and again countries have moved into Transoxania in the pursuit of National Interests and the people have used the Panjshir Valley as a center for resistance against whomever the occupiers have been. But, controlling and administering the land should never have been our mission. It should have been Destroying AQ and killing Bin Laden and letting the Multi-Ethnic Peoples of Afghanistan figure out the rest. When it cam e to the kill/capture of Bin Laden the directed incompetence from the Bush Regime in failing the trigger pullers was detailed by the nome de guerred Delta Force Commander Dalton Fury who was given that mission, in his book Kill Bin Laden.

Delta developed an audacious plan to come at bin Laden from the one direction he would never expect.

"We want to come in on the back door," Fury explains. "The original plan that we sent up through our higher headquarters, Delta Force wants to come in over the mountain with oxygen, coming from the Pakistan side, over the mountains and come in and get a drop on bin Laden from behind."

But they didn't take that route, because Fury says they didn't get approval from a higher level. "Whether that was Central Command all the way up to the president of the United States, I'm not sure," he says.

The next option that Delta wanted to employ was to drop hundreds of landmines in the mountain passes that led to Pakistan, which was bin Laden’s escape route.

But they didn't do that either, because Fury says that plan was also disapproved. He says he has "no idea" why.

"How often does Delta come up with a tactical plan that's disapproved by higher headquarters?" Pelley asks.

"In my experience, in my five years at Delta, never before," Fury says.

Getting (Getting In, Getting Bin Laden, Getting Out) would seem to have been a better choice. Sure that plan may have failed and Afghanistan could have turned into another Somalia, or the Taliban could have reclaimed power or Gulbuddin Hekmatyar would have emerged as the next Dictator in the area but those things could happen even with American and ISAF forces in the country and we would be spared cowardly screes from Ralph Peters enticing the Taliban to kill captured US Soldier Bowe Berghdal.

And lest we forget Iraq is still festering threatening to burst forth with renewed violence after having been "won" so many times over the last 5 years just as Afghanistan has...

The video of the Army chaplain evangelizing has caused a stir. It's showing Americans and the world that the US military has been taken over by evangelical fanatics who want to follow the words of She Who Shall Not Be Named, "We should invade their countries, kill their leaders and convert them to christianity."

Christian Fight Pilot, however, like the chaplain is arguing in bad faith. And as opposed to being vindicating as he believes I think the unedited version is actually more damning. It shows the unbroken flow of conversation it shows the chaplain teaching the soldiers how to break the spirit of the general order while not breaking the letter of the order. It's proselytizing by stealth.

Listen to the words of not only the chaplain but the SSG to wit:

"Be careful how you do it", "There are ways to win people to christ", "You can not proselytize but you can give gifts", "You share the word in a smart manner", "Be smart about it", "If you make it a gift and walk away from it..."

But CFP gets puffed up with righteous holy zeal. His main point is soldiers can express their belief. This is a protected right in the military!

Missing, of course, the whole issue. This isn't some academic debate, this isn't occurring in the vacuum of a classroom where the dialectic is turned to the subtleties of the immaculate conception and how many angels bellow forth from the muzzle of a Ma Deuce. This talk of bringing people to the christ is coming from the mouths of those who are ubiquitous through out the land holding guns and controlling the streets.

Anyone who has been in the military can attest that religion is crammed down the gullets of the every member. You can't attend a large formation (a welcome home, a sendoff, or a promotion) without having a chaplain issue the call to prayer.

Admittedly it's not as bad as the Lt Colonel Hensley, the chief of the U.S. military chaplains in Afghanistan, declaring:

"The special forces guys -- they hunt men basically. We do the same things as Christians, we hunt people for Jesus. We do, we hunt them down," he says.

The spreading the faith from the barrel of a gun. Which is how the faith was spread anyway, through violence, force, rape, murder and destruction.

This whole incident could be passed off as a rogue chaplain if it wasn't for the large amount of evidence which indicates this is not "a few bad apples" but part of a pattern; disgusting Air Force Cadets confronting non-evangelicals with Cult-esque Shame Circles to browbeat them into accepting the "true" faith, the comments I've highlighted and the unacceptable boot camp religious brain-washing 'God's Basic Training'! The First Strategic Objective of which is to: Evangelize and Disciple All Enlisted Members of the US Military. And the last: Change Continents for Christ. Transform nations of world through the militaries of world.

I guess I could go on and on about the sheer ignorance of Bush. You can't expect a "man" who's read the Cliff Notes version of Nietzsche, Clausewitz and The Red Badge of Courage to understand the nature of War. Bush never had to deal with the day-to-day grind of being in country.

In fact, Bush never:
- was exposed to the long periods of boredom punctuated by moments of terror.
- had to shave his face in contaminated water.
- shit and puked all over himself at the same time because he caught some form of dysentery.
- piss in a bottle because you don't feel like getting you helmet, flak, rifle, and boots to walk a quarter mile to a port-a-potty (actually with his penchant for an adult beverage I'm probably wrong about this one)
- had to set up traps to capture the Euphrates River rats.
- or clean up your gear after they shit all over it and worry about what your going to catch from the rat feces.
- lived through a mortar attack... or saw someone who didn't.

To Bush War is Romantic. To him it's a short story. Begun with an unprovoked Casus Beli, then followed by parades and sermons as the Righteous are assured God is on Our Side. Next comes a quick victory accentuated by few comments from the newly minted Men, who praise the dead and return home to more parades.

There of course the story ends and we never have to worry ourselves with the lack of medical care for the wounded (because they are hidden from our sight), never see the personal struggle of those dealing with the horrors they've seen.

And that's what our Glorious Leader has to look forward. When he departs on 01/20/09, he'll get to forget the wars he's started as though he's closing up a book. But for those he's cavalierly sent off the "Excitement" of War doesn't end when they come home.
