The Cubs and the Ricketts Family Curse

As the World Series draw near the Astros will make their 2nd appearance in 3 years, it's time for Chicago baseball fans to resurrect the time-honored eternal lament Wait till Next Year. And to recognize for all the talk about "every season is sacred" the Chicago Cubs are more than willing to coast and cash-in on the dying embers of the 2016 Championship for the Cubs fans must face the truth the "vaunted" World Series Window hath closed.

It's also time to note that while WSCR 670 The Score calls this the greatest era in Modern Cubs History, in reality the Cubs have not made the Playoffs for the last two seasons. The Theo Epstein-Jed Hoyer brain trust is chock full of Hubris, believing the hype that they are the smartest guys in baseball, they've overvalued their own players, made terrible decisions in Free Agent signings, and now need a new manager because they ran the last one out of town.

Now, this is nothing against any player on the Cubs, I wish them nothing but good luck in getting as much money from the Team and sport they can before the harsh Ricketts family ownership and wonder boy Epstein jettison them.

But, in reality I have not been a Cubs fan since the odious Ricketts family descended upon Chicago like a plague of locusts and got control of the Cubs in October 2009. Joe Ricketts is the TD Ameritrade Patriarch who made his fortune the old-fashioned way; by siphoning off money from people, like the blood-sucking tick borne disease which is their namesake

In 2007, Sam Zell another ruthless and worthless "investor" acquired the Tribune Company using the financial trickery of a "leveraged buyout" dumping Billions of dollars of debt onto the Tribune Corporation and then selling off the valuable assets; i.e. the Chicago Cubs. The Ricketts Family took note and implemented "Project North Side"; a complicated scheme of chicanery and inventive bookkeeping using the purposefully shady, complicated, and byzantine banking rules to buy the Cubs without actually having the assets or cash-in-hand.

With the Cubs purchase Joe Ricketts, an unabashed racist, felt no compunction in running 6 straight losing seasons with cut-rate players maximizing profits and now after 1 World Series Title, setting up as many revenue streams as possible to drain the Cubs Fanbase of dollars. Next season the Cubs will remove their games from TV onto their "Marquee Network", a pay-per-view channel.

Like, most of the Corporate Vulture Class, Joe Ricketts got rich spending other peoples' money. Then congratulated himself on his "work ethic" and set about using the Awesome power of the Government  to crush the Working Class. After winning the World Series, Ricketts worked to get Trump elected, ever since the Cubs have lost.

Am I wrong about Edward Snowden and Glenn Greenwald?

Is the goal the elimination of the Military-Industrial-Surveillance State? Or is it something else?

Having attended the Socialism 2013 Conference (June 27-30 at the Crowne Plaza in Rosemont, Illinois) I was able to hear Glenn Greenwald, the Special Guest Speaker on the Friday Night closing Forum. Greenwald received near unamious support and acclaim from the crowd. I reserved my applause and declined to give him a standing ovation.

Of course, Greenwald's appearance was done via Skype as he is persona non grata in the States these days. But, he is also unwelcome by many liberals and Left Bloggers.

But, Jeremy Scahill was fervent in his praise and adulation towards Glenn Greenwald. In one of the sessions, Richard Seymour spoke of Greenwald's "Libertarian Marxism".

I'm conflicted about Greenwald. I aboslutely agree with him on the Subserveince of the Media. Greenwald related several ancedotal stories of David Gregory and the New York Times Editor-in-
Chief proudly proclaiming the Pentagon or some Governmental Spokesperson giving their official stamp of approval to the Reporting being done on them. The Modern Media are no longer journalists in any sense of the word, but are Stenographers for those in Power.

But, 3 days after speaking to group of Out-Right Marxists Glenn appeared on Fox & Friends and was approvingly interviewed by Eric Bolling, about the Obama Administrations intimidation of "whistleblowers".

"We were certainly safe between 2000 and 2008. I don't remember any terrorist attacks on American soil during that period of time." - Eric Bolling 

So this doesn't necessarily bolster Greenwald's credibility or my impression of the man's motives.

I think Greenwald's analysis of Snowden is for the most part correct. Edward Snowden isn't some egocentric fame-seeker (Glenn used the term Fame Whore) or doing this for monetary reward. But, his revelations aren't exactly ground breaking news if one were say aware of the 1992 movie Sneakers or had been paying attention during the George W. Bush Regime.

And that is what's troubling about Glenn's reporting and Snowden's revelations; Why did it take so long?

All of a sudden after 7 years of being a Sysadmin Spook Snowden chooses to become whistleblower? 13 years after the Patriot Act was signed Greenwald's worried about US Spying Operations?

Snowden and Greenwald were in contact before Snowden got his job with Booz Allen Hamilton (BAH). Snowden explicitly stated he went to work for the NSA-affiliated BAH in order to use their structure to access classified intel collected in part by the NSA and other organizations. His application to BAH isn't like the one page sheet you turn into McDonald's. So when did he hatch his plan to get a job with the contractor knowing their classified doc handling and SCIF security was not up to the same levels as the CIA and NSA. And would Snowden have done the same if Mitt Romney were now President?

Now, the interesting aspect of the NSA/Prism/Greenwald is it's shattering affect of the Left/Right paradigm. Which is always good because the It's Okay if Your a ____, is tedious and shows a lack of fiber for doing what is correct.

One of the recent allegations to be leveled at Snowden is according to Ars Technica, Snowden was a regular commentator since at least 2006, under the handle The True HOOHA.

His alleged online beliefs were firmly in support of spying, 'Those people should be shot in the balls' and against Leakers, 'They’re like wikileaks. You don’t put that shit in the NEWSPAPER.' The True HOOHA also was a firm believer in pushing young IT adept and Server Savvy people into working for the computer/intelligence side of the MIC, "Thank God for wars."

Why did those beliefs change? I don't automatically conclude that Snowden is lying or is simply Hating Obama and I believe a reasoned change of mind and re-evaluation of ones' beliefs is possible. And Snowden is correct (and I envy him for this) that, "Being called a traitor by Dick Cheney is the highest honor you can give an American." But, is that what is going on here with Snowden and with, by extension, Greenwald?

So, what am I to make of Greenwald's tacit acceptance of the Bush Era Surveillance and Warmongering and his bositeroius ardent hatred of Surveillance and Warmongering now?

And what exactly does everyone want President Obama to have done and do about the NSA? Should he have unillaterally decalred the Executive would not be enforcing the Patriot Act ala DOMA? Should he be pressuring Congress to curtail the budget for the CIA and NSA and elimination of the Drone seciton of the DoD? Should the US not spy on anyone? Is this really about Privacy?

The GOP 2012 Platform: We Built This! Using Government Funds!

Another glaring act of Right-Wing Hypocrisy in 2012 has centered around President Obama's powerful speech which sought to bring Americans together around the esprit de corps of the American ideal of the shared burden and sacrifice,

“If you’ve got a business, you didn’t build that,” Obama said. “Somebody else made that happen. The Internet didn’t get invented on its own. Government research created the Internet, so then all the companies could make money off the Internet. The point is that when we succeed, we succeed because of our individual initiative, but also because we do things together.”

As is their wont Republicans seized upon the President's words to divide the American People. Because the GOP places Party over Country and Profits over People every single time.

Even today a month later Mitt Romney is walking around Iowa claiming, President Obama thinks he's sooooooo great and that you didn't build it!

The sad, completely dishonest and shockingly myopic quailty of those suckered in by the flim-flam snake oil selling Romney and the Republican Party is highlighted by the venue the GOP choose for their WE BUILT THIS Convention.

The GOP Convention is going to be held in the Tampa Bay Times Forum Arena, which was heavily subsidized with tax-payer money. $86 million (62%) of the initial $139 million was tax-payer welfare. Just like Hank Steinbrenner and the Hundreds of Millions of welfare he received for Yankee Stadium III and the $300 million in welfare the billionaire Rickett's Family wants to re-build Wrigley Field.

Now the Republicans don't care because they know their stubbornly stupid, blantantly racist, battered and duped voting base doesn't care to know facts or simply side-steps the cognitive dissonance associated with being a moocher by ignorning or justifying their actions.

Jack Gilchrist, a businessman who stars in the "On His Own" ad for Republican presidential candidate Mitt R-Money, claimed in his ad:

“My father’s hands didn’t build this company? My hands didn’t build this company? My son’s hands aren’t building this company?”

Of course, Jack Gilchrist conveinently fails to mention he's taken over $1.5 million in government loans since the 1980s, including $800,000 in tax-exempt bonds issued by the New Hampshire Business Finance Authority to build a new manufacturing plant and buy equipment.

Gilchrist also received a U.S. Small Business Administration loan of around $500,000 in the 1980s, and said that to this day about 10 percent of his business comes from defense-related projects.

Iowan Farmers receive millions in farm subsidizes every year from the Government. But, this can easily be rationalized. It's never Socialism when you're receiving Government Money it's only when those other people do!

UI political-science Associate Professor Tim Hagle said of the "You didn't build that", “It struck a nerve among the small business community and fit right in with the message that Republicans are trying to portray [during this election].”

So, this is going to be the theme of the Republicans in 2012. They are going to play to the rationalization aspects of their voters and massage their egos. Two-faced, Hypocrisy, Shameless Lying, Rationalization core components of the Republican Party.

Joe Ricketts hates President Obama's spending, but loves Socialism when it's used to help his family's baseball team

The Defeat of Barack Hussein Obama: The Ricketts Plan to End his Spending for Good is the Title of Joe Ricketts 54 page, $10,000,000 dollar proposal designed to prove that President Obama is not the "metrosexual, black Abe Lincoln" America thought and laments that Americans "still aren't ready to hate this President."

According to the second page of the proposal, Joe Ricketts said it himself, "If this Nation had seen that ad they never would have elected Barack Obama."

The ads in question will try to paint Barack Obama as an angry black militant who learned his anti-Americanism from his father and then from Reverend Jeremiah Wright Jr. Joe Ricketts belief is the McCain Campaign's decision not run the blatantly racist ads ultimately lead to McCain/Palin's defeat.

Since his election the Right-Wing Domestic Terrorists who wish to turn this country into a giant camp of Wage Slaves have had one goal for 2012; attack President Obama so often, on so many fronts, for so many perceived slights, with so many baseless accusations, and so savagely that it would cause amongst the American People a sort of Weariness. A Fatigue of let's just get back to some Republican stooge whom the Media fawns over and conservatives forgive every transgression so that we may be left alone. But, Right-Wingers are never going to leave you alone. The want total Hegemonic Domination of the Government so that they may institute their Totalitarian Control over the lives and minds of the American People.

Joe Ricketts is the Patriarch of the family who owns the Chicago Cubs. And this is the key to this man's thinking. As a billionaire Plutocrat Joe Ricketts feels it is entirely acceptable to have the Tax Payers of Illinois and the resident's of Chicago provide his family hundreds of millions of dollars to rebuild and spruce up Wrigley Field. It's abhorrent that Plutocrats, like Joe Ricketts, have successfully created a Country in which they Privatize their Profits and Subsidize their Losses, but now they want their companies borne aloft on the backs of the Tax Payer. Oil Companies have long been able to shift the burden of running their business onto the backs of the Middle Class and Poor and it seems the Plutocrats of this Nation realize that their campaign to demonize Barack Obama could result in the election of Mitt Romney who has guaranteed to slash programs for the Poor, raise taxes on the Middle Class and transfer Trillions of dollars to the Rich.

The Founding Fathers greatly feared the Income Inequality situation we have today. Most were afraid the multitudinous poor would rise up and slaughter the rich few but, it wasn't unforeseen to them that the rich might exert Oligarchical Control over the Nation, as well.

This packet was produced on May 10, 2012, but didn't come to everyone's attention until a week later.

As soon as the details emerged, Joe Ricketts backed away from the plan with this statement,

Not only was this plan merely a proposal - one of several submitted to the Ending Spending Action Fund by third-party vendors - but it reflects an approach to politics that Mr. Ricketts rejects and it was never a plan to be accepted but only a suggestion for a direction to take. Mr. Ricketts intends to work hard to help elect a President this fall who shares his commitment to economic responsibility, but his efforts are and will continue to be focused entirely on questions of fiscal policy, not attacks that seek to divide us socially or culturally.

So, Ricketts doesn't even have the courage of his convictions. Like all Koch-roaches, Ricketts wants to do his dirty work in secret, under the coverage of his anonymous PAC. Slandering and demonizing the President, from the cover of darkness, like a coward.

Well, guess what? Joe had just better hope enough frat boys continue to patronize his park and drink the piss warm overpriced Miller Lite he peddles. The Chicago Cubs just lost a supporter. I've been a Chicago Cubs fans since 1982. Ryne Sandberg was my favorite player as child. I'll never go to Wrigley Field again.

Move "Forward" with the President not backward with Totalitarian Republican Oppressors

The Right-Wing is made up of Oppressors who strive to do nothing other than to chain Americans with the shackles of Right-Wing oppression and wage slavery.

President Obama's election team unveiled their new campaign slogan, "Forward". Immediately the Right-Wing imbeciles jumped up and declared Forward means Maoism or Leninism! But after realizing most of their conservative myna bird-brains didn't grasp Maoism, The Washington Times simplified for the duped conservative drone, New Obama Slogan has long ties to Marxism, Socialism.

Now, while Forward also happens to be the State Motto of Wisconsin and the domain name "Forward.com" is the website of The Jewish Daily Forward, a publication begun in 1897 with strong socialist roots, it would be fantastic if Barack Obama was a Socialist, but his voting record clearly shows President Obama is a fiscally moderate/conservative. Which is why the U.S. hasn't emerged from the Republican Recession.

30+ years of Conservative economic policy is precisely why we have massive Income Inequality and why CEOs "earn" almost 400 times what the average worker makes. The 1% have been pissing down the backs of all Americans and telling them it's trickle down prosperity for 3 decades

Today Palin has money, not Koch Money, mind you, but some. However, her rise from obscurity to her 18 month dominance of the right-wing world occurred precisely because she was willing to go on word salad tirades against the oppressed and in favor of keeping the oppressed down.

But, the weak and stupid amongst the Oppressors only know the Oppressor/Oppressed Dichotomy and having grown up in a misogynistic, Patriarchal, homophobic, repressive rich-deifiying society see no other recourse but to Oppress those whomever they can, which is how we have poor conservatives who use medicare and social security siding with the Hedge Fund Vultures who make money off of firing American workers and starving children to death in Africa and who are pushing their Republican Lackeys to eliminate the programs which aid Millions of Americans.

Oppressed Conservatives side with their Oppressors, the 1%, because they don't know anything better than to try and knock down the oppressed, as well.

It's funny how when a "private" business wants huge wads of taxpayer "relief" to finance some project, the discussion becomes a Grandiose debate on Utilitarian Principles and the greatest good for the greatest number. The ancillary benefits to businesses, the community, the neighborhood. The indirect sales and tax gains and so forth. But...

That cutting and reducing government spending is the only option and those directly affected and the subsequent thousands indirectly affected are given short shrift, if they are considered at all.

It's almost as if the 1% has set up a Government to cater to their whims and wants and has designed the Body politic to funnel and transfer wealth upwards to them in a Reverse-Robin Scheme.

The Ricketts Family had a net worth of $2,700,000,000 in 2007. That placed them in the Forbes 400 Richest Americans. But, who should pay for the rebuilding of Wrigley Field; why the poor hardworking blue-collar Chicago Cub fan, who can maybe scrape together enough money to take himself and his family to the game a couple times a year.

After stating last week the Wrigley Field Renovations and Facelift discussion were "in the final stages" Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel clarified,

"Always remember that I'm here to represent taxpayers, but I'm not here to subsidize private investors with public dollars."

Okay Rahm. Then prove it.

Prove you aren't doing the work of the obscenely wealthy and providing them with Chicagoans tax dollars when the Ricketts easily purchased the second most profitable Baseball Franchise behind the Yankees. Prove to us Rahm that you aren't a tool of the Oppressors. A willing accomplice of the 1%. A lackey of Hedge Fund Vulture Kenneth C. Griffin CEO of Citadel LLC. A man who has created nothing but has made Billions off of Legerdemain and paper shuffling. And all the other Rich Elitist Bastards who view the Government of Chicago and Illinois as nothing more than their hired hands transferring Hundreds of Millions of dollars up from the Poor to the Rich.

But, at least I can finally say thank you to Governor Quinn and 44th Ward Alderman Tom Tunney. From Greg Hinz comes this column,

"I'm not excited about that at all," Governor Quinn said on the "Don Wade & Roma Show" on WLS-AM/890. "Our state has severe fiscal challenges, so the very idea of the state of Illinois spending millions and millions of dollars on Wrigley Field, I don't think that's in the cards at all." Quinn continued, The Ricketts family "bought the team, and they should make the lion's share of the investment to fix up the park."

And Tunney put the brakes on Rahm Emmanuel's "final stages", when he said, "I think the deal is not in the final stages," he said. "This is a deal that involves a lot of complexities." Tunney also added, "With the city still facing future budget deficits in the hundreds of millions of dollars, the economic benefits to the city as a whole will have to be clear."

The Emerald Ash Borer & Socialism Strike Suburban Chicago

You were warned! Right-Wing Radio, Faux News, but it's too late. You've let the Chicago-Style Obama Gangster Socialism infest the Suburbs! White Flight No Longer can protect you.

Of course, I'm talking about the unacceptable plans of Arlington Heights, Illinois and Schaumburg, Illinois to battle the Emerald Ash Borer Beetle.

From the Daily Herald reporting:

Schaumburg is embarking on a 10-year, $9 million program to replace thousands of its ash trees with a variety of species immune to the ravages of the emerald ash borer.

During this first year of the 10-year plan, the village expects to spend $1.5 million, which includes $470,000 to remove 1,863 damaged trees. The village also will begin treating with a powerful insecticide 524 “high value” ash trees that are 20 inches or more in diameter. This needs to be done only every other year, but this year's cost alone is $128,000.

Additionally:

Arlington Heights would need to borrow roughly $11.5 million to combat the emerald ash borer infestation — expected to peak in 2015 killing roughly 5,000 trees, village officials said Monday.

The village board's committee of the whole Monday night gave its blessing to a funding plan that would involve issuing roughly $11.5 million in general obligation bonds in 2013 for the removal and replacement of the village's 13,000 ash trees.

So... It has come to this. I didn't import the Emerald Ash Borer into America! It's not attacking my trees! Why on earth should I pay for the removal and upkeep of my neighbor's infested trees?

We are living in an era when a solid block of conservatives have so deeply conditioned themselves they view any amount of government spending as evil and routinely speak of being "raped" by taxes. But, the Emerald Ash Borer beetle infestation is a prime instance of Government being needed. As in to ensure Domestic Tranquility and Promote the General Welfare.

It would do little good if you treated and protected your Ash trees if your neighbor decided not to and his infestation spread to your trees.

Could you sue him? Sure, but how would you prove the beetles migrated from your neighbors house and not from some other close by infested area? Capture a bunch of bugs and do a DNA mapping trace to prove they came from his strain?

Republicans have been constructing a very odd narrative wherein the Government can do nothing correctly. Now, often when Republicans take office they sabotage and undermine government but, this isn't due to incompetence but to a specific agenda of targeted destruction aimed at dissolving the effectiveness of Government.

Now, really what's going on here is the 1% are setting up Green Zones in America. The 1% who wholly owns and operates the Republican Party on a Federal, State, and Municipal level doesn't have the same worries as hundreds of millions of Americans or those residents of Schaumburg and Arlington Heights.

The only thing that concerns them is getting the Republicans to eliminate as many taxes, regulations, worker rights, the social safety net, and curbs on pollution as possible so they can steal and off-shore as much money as quickly as possible.

GM is Alive and Bin Laden is Dead. President Obama inherited a Nation on the brink of Collapse after years of purposeful neglect, callous indifference, selective mistreatment, and pandering to the 1%, or known more simply as Republican "Governance".

What President Obama did in arresting the Fall of America was spectacular. If only Barack was an ardent socialist instead of Sean Hannity Fantasy Socialist his successes would have been even more spectacular. As the Top 5 Happiest Nations in the World are all Democratic Socialist Countries.

But, Harry Truman's wisdom shows focusing on jobs is both the correct metric it is also the least correct one. Ezra Klein asked several economists: How much of national job creation during a presidency can we properly attribute to the president? In Their Words:

“Very little,” wrote Harvard’s Martin Feldstein in an e- mail. Feldstein led the council under Reagan, and he didn’t see much role for the president in normal economic times. “The key is growth of population and labor force participation. Policy -- primarily monetary policy -- affects cyclical conditions and therefore the unemployment rate. Fiscal policy is usually irrelevant but with interest rates at the current level there has been a role for fiscal policy.”

Laura D’Andrea Tyson, a Berkeley economist who served under Clinton, emphasized the need to consider timing in our evaluations. “There are significant lags between the time a President proposes a policy, the time it is enacted by Congress and the time necessary for it to take effect,” she wrote to me. “These lags should be taken into account in measuring the economy’s job performance under a President. The first year probably should not count at all in terms of assessing the effects of a new Administration’s policies.”

N. Gregory Mankiw, a Harvard economist who served as the council chairman under George W. Bush, directed me to a blog post he had written on the subject. “Randomness is a fact of economic life,” Mankiw wrote, “and it would be a mistake to judge a president by the economic outcome during his administration. It is better to look at the decisions the president made, and to acknowledge that the outcome is a function of those decisions and many other factors not under his control. As an economist, I have views about what best practices are for economic policy, and I judge presidents by how closely they adhere to those principles.”

What is more at stake is what the President's long term planning does to the Nation. President Reagan and President Bush both instituted Recessions by ramping up the insourcing of illegals and outsourcing jobs.

From 2001-2009 under President George W. Bush, the Worst President in American History, multi-national Corporations laid off 2.9 million workers in the US, while creating 2.4 million jobs overseas in Slave Labor Nations. Median Income declined outright from 1999 to 2009. From 1960 to 2000, manufacturing accounted for 20 million jobs in the U.S. from 2000-2009 America lost a 1/3rd of those jobs. Between 2002 and 2007 2 out of every 3 dollars of Income growth went to the Richest 1%.

It's a spectacularly bad record for Americans but a spectacularly great record for Bush and his 1% Lords.

Republicans hate American Labor because they are beholden to the 1% who views high labor costs as a wholly unnecessary and easily correctable expense. Corporate leaders have always sought to keep costs down by taking advantage of the next wave of immigrants but post-WWII as labor reached it's epogee and power they have been able to take advantage of the World's manufacturing base and export jobs as easier than they once imported "cooliees".

But, while the 1% was easily able to sell this plan to the various President's and Congresses they've owned, selling it to the American consumer was harder.

So, they went for the easiest sell, Lower Prices. It's what Wal-Mart continually advertises. They fooled enough Americans into believing the pair of jeans made in Mexico was going to be as high of quality as that pair of LL Bean trousers you've had for 15 years but cost a fifth as much! Your GE refrigerator made in Indonesia and Taiwan and "assembled" in the US will last just as long as that one your dad had for 25 years made by US Union labor but, be half the price!

So while President Obama saved General Motors and millions of associated American Jobs, the Vultures, the Republicans have been doing everything they can to destroy American Jobs and institute an economic policy of Neo-Feudalism.

The son of auto executive, not a filthy line worker, Republican Presidential Candidate Mitt Romney wants Detroit to go bankrupt and millions lose their jobs and benefits. That way the poor will have to take whatever wage he and his Kleptocratic friends deem them worthy of, which is just enough to ensure they work themselves to death before the age 67. Romney even cites the Toyota Avalon being superior to Detroit autos. The same Toyota which is losing $1.7 Billions USC this year.

Confederate Yankee offers this insight seemingly taken from Romney's Op-Ed:

"What separates the successful companies that aren't asking for a bailout from the leaches grubbing for tax dollars from your already empty wallet? Greedy, bloated, self-serving and uncompetitive union labor, particularly the United Auto Workers (UAW). Non-union car factories are cranking out the smaller, higher-quality, more fuel efficient fleets that America wants to buy, while the unionized Big Three are cranking out bloated beasts that carry and estimated $2,000 of overhead per vehicle because of concessions the automakers have made the unions over the years in noncompetitive benefits and pensions."

Of course, he's not satisfied with just crushing the UAW,

"For that matter, much of the manufacturing in this country doesn't deserve to live, particularly that created with non-competitive union labor so prevalent in the Northeast and upper Midwest."

You see we need to reduce workers to the status of wage slaves as we find in Vietnam or Nigeria, receiving whatever their feudal lords deem them worthy of earning, i.e. just enough to live; while using up their youth and discarding the workers as worthless when they get old, sick or injured. Republican Richard Shelby, who spent more than $1 Billion USC in taxpayer money to lure in foreign auto manufactures to Alabama

Because Republicans are against everything which helps extend the lives of the poor and middle class in America. Foreign Auto Makers, especially with automotive plants in the South are allowed to pay cut throat capitalism wages and disbar unions while receiving US Government Subsidies and tax incentives to treat American workers unfairly.

Republican Richard Shelby of Alabama ensured Mercedes -Benz received $253 Million USC, Honda $158 Million USC and Hyundai $234 million USC tax breaks for building plants in in his state, Republican scum Bob Cooker gave Volkswagon $577 million USC for a factory in Tennessee and "Mississippi paid $284 million for a new Toyota plant; Kia got $324 million from Georgia. Texas had to fork over only $133 million for Toyota's Tundra plant in San Antonio, while Tennessee gave $197.6 million so Nissan would move its American headquarters to Nashville."

Capitalism is the god of the Corporatists. Sure, they make a show of belief in christianity but it's a sham, a mockery. Their true religion is Greed. And much like the conversion of Constantine in 312, they had a vision, Under this banner ($) shall ye conquer, and so they have.

The Richest 1% of this Nation control 50% of all financial investments. The top 10% have almost 90% of stocks, bonds, trust funds, and business equity, and over 75% of non-home real estate. Basically, 10% own the United States of America.

But it's important to note that for the rich, most of that income does not come from "working": in 2008, only 19% of the income reported by the 13,480 individuals or families making over $10 million came from wages and salaries.

The Rich have successfully waged a Class War on America. The reason Jimmy Carter has been so vilified by the conservatives is that in late 1970's the Top 1% "only" controlled 20% of the Nation's wealth. And that Oppression of the Plutonomy shall not stand! So, the Plutocrats of this Nation went hard to work to create Think Tanks, invest in school boards and buy political offices for the express effort to create brigades of Shock Troops dedicated to indoctrinating Piss Down Your Back and Tell You It's Raining trickle down economics.

And they've been successful at it. For instance, the Koch Industries, Exxon-Mobile funded Heritage Foundation rabidly cheered and promoted the Bush Tax Cuts. The Heritage Foundation's 2001 report proclaimed if the Bush tax cut legislation were to pass, it would:

1) Effectively pay off the federal debt;
2) Reduce the federal surplus by $1.4 trillion;
3) Substantially increase family income;
4) Save the entire Social Security surplus;
5) Increase personal savings;
6) Create more job opportunities.

Everyone of those claims did not happen and in fact the exact opposite occurred. But, what did happen was a massive transfer of wealth to the Ultra-Wealthy, which were the true goals of the Bush Tax Cuts.

Like any good despotic religion Capitalism moves quickly to to stifle and stamp out heresy. Billionaire Warren Buffet, one of the richest men in America, made the mistake of saying it's time Congress stop coddling Billionaires.

Blasphemy! The Shock Troops went to work quickly to denounce him and to assuage and tamp down any ideas in the heads of their slaves, the conservative voter.

The Plutocracy's Hitmen, the Republicans immediately tweeted their disagreement, mostly in the 'Oh Yeah? If it's such a good idea why don't you give billions of your money???'

And the Heritage Foundation omniously hinted at something far worse (psst... it's part of that marxist mulsim Kenyan Usurper's plan).

"A billionaire calling for more taxes might make great political theater, but there's more to the story than Buffett — and Obama — would have you believe,"

It almost makes it sound like Brownfield is something more than a pasty, flabby assed, never served a day in the military, never had a real job hatchet man for the Wealthy.

Champion Birther Joseph Farrar, of World Nut Daily, penned this eloquent work: Warren Buffett Just Shut Up! In his column, which I shall not link to, Farrar writes that: Most (his word) of the money collected by taxes is wasted on unconstituional (read as: Medicaid, Social Security, Pell Grants, reduced school lunch programs, the EPA, and OSHA) and concludes:

Do they really think it somehow benefits America to have Washington throw more money away on unconstitutional, fraudulent, wasteful, corrupt and immoral programs?

Are they socialists at heart?

But, the loudest propaganda arm of the Plutocracy, Faux News, immediately went for the Warren Buffett = Joesph Stalin by having Eric Bolling ask is Warren Buffett "Completely A Socialist"? Of course, the inestimable Jon Stewart does a better job of highlighting the vicious evilness of the Faux Propaganda Machine:

That's too glib. It's not that the Republicans murdered the American Dream, it's just that their version of the American Dream is one in which the US is a Corporate Controlled State, where a small cadre of Politicos, Industrialists, and Business Behemoths absorb the vast wealth of this nation with the US Government existing solely to defend and protect the Wealthy Plutocrats and Oppress or Kill off the Middle and Working Classes.

And they've succeeded. The Working and Middle Classes have been murdered. America is a Corporate State now, run by and for They, the Plutocrats. The Corporate State "murdered" the Middle Class. But, it's not much of a murder mystery, Business hired the Republican Party as Hitman and the Democratic Party, in an effort to appear business friendly, stood by and watched the hit.

The Rise of the Corporate State and the murder of America is tied to that ghastly time which killed so many others, World War One. As Smedley Butler noted, "At least 21,000 new millionaires and billionaires were made in the United States during the World War."

Following the War those Moneyed Persons were afraid of the previous Era of Progressives. Huge gains had been made for the worker, Unions had won major battles. This could not stand if the Corporate State was to Rise.

The first move was to shift the debate. Socialism must be made toxic. And thus the 100 years war of the Right on Humanity began. By demonizing Socialism the entire debate shifted rightwards so much that a Moderate Fiscal Conservative Milk-Water Liberal Barack Obama can be painted as the godchild of Mao and the most radical leftist ever elected.

Of course, this shift could not have succeeded if the Democrats and Liberals had not been wooed and enticed by that well worn aphrodisiac Money. By surrendering their principles of a Just Government for a quick buck, Liberals aided and abetted the Rise of the Corporate State and Capitalist Hegemony,

Disaster Capitalism is Triumphant now and as I pointed out in an earlier post, it has absorbed many attributes of a religion. Miracles are ascribed to it, Utopia will be achieved on Earth once we surrender ourselves to its' embrace. Capitalism has done little for most people on Earth other than Presage an early death.

But, it's not enough for the Plutocracy. Hedge fund manager Clifford S. Asness and Republican Paul Ryan may enjoy a romantic $700 wine date, but every last vestige of the New Deal and the Progressive gains of Unions and Socialists must be destroyed as well. Plutocrats, like Hedge Fund Manager Stanley Druckenmiller, are willing to lose thousands of dollars in far away dividends if it means they can destroy Social Security right now.

One of the world's most successful money managers, the lanky, sandy-haired Mr. Druckenmiller is so concerned about the government's ability to pay for its future obligations that he's willing to accept a temporary delay in the interest payments he's owed on his U.S. Treasury bonds—if the result is a Washington deal to restrain runaway entitlement costs.

Republicans have brought forth bills to defund the EPA, continuing the 30 year War of Deregulation, to roll back the Clean Water Act, to steal Social Security funds and to end Medicare and Medicaid as they seek to let Corporations steal as much as possible.

But, Republicans believe the entire brunt of Government spending needs to be borne by the Working Classes. And Government Spending is actually just a giant shell game by the Republicans.

Republican Mike Lee of Utah resoundingly won in 2010 on a platform of forcing children to work in Utah's Salt Mines. Lee is demanding that a constitutional amendment be passed making it only possible to raise taxes when approved by 2/3rds of both the House and Senate and if it's not approved "in his framework" he'll bring down the Government. Basically, Lee wants to ensure that Taxes are never again raised on his Moneyed Masters.

The only Government Spending Republicans support is Corporate Welfare. It's called Defense Contracts or Tax subsides. And these monumental amounts of money go to those who have the most. Taxbreaks for owning a Private Jet. Tax payer funding for Multi-National Oil Conglomerates. Billions in No Bid contracts to Boeing, Northrup Grumman, Halliburton, BP, Blackwater (Xe) and other companies who criminally overcharge the government for their shoddy work, turn round and give campaign donations to the very same people who turn round and give them bribes the Defense Contracts.

U.S. Military spending accounts for more than half of our discretionary spending. If you really want to know where our current budget woes come from look over yonder at Iraq and Afghanistan, for our Deficit was born and raised in the desert.

And this doesn't even address the likes of petty Grifters and Scumbags like Republican Michele Bachmann and her family, who happily accept Medicare payouts and Federal Government Farm welfare while voting to end all Federal help to downtrodden Americans.

It's time to realize the Corporate State will not give back any of this power they have stolen with the direct help of the Republicans and the cowardly indifference or craven acquiescence of the Democrats.

Boeing steals from Taxpayers

Boeing is a company which could not survive in a Free Open Market competition. For years Boeing has remained a viable company by receiving Billions of Taxpayer dollars in Corporate Welfare, euphemistically called Defense Contracts. But, even the Billions of dollars handed to them for shoddy work isn't enough for Boeing, as the company has routinely and criminally overcharged the US Government for their work.

Boeing overcharged the U.S. Army $13 million on spare parts that Army officials could have purchased from the Defense Logistics Agency (dla).

And this is the company that Jim DeMint, Nikki Haley and the Republican Party are holding aloft as a Stalwart Business Model!

I understand why. Anything President Obama proposes the Get Obama Party is against. The GOP's job isn't looking out for the American Taxpayer, it's not to defend and protect the American worker, it's not even to defend the nation from harm. The GOP's job is to, quote Mitch McConnell, "make Obama a one term President."And all it takes to get so-called fiscal conservative Teabaggers on their side is too have Faux News, Racist Limbaugh and the Right Wing Radio cohorts wailing about anti-Business Obama harming poor little Boeing, a company which steals Billions from the American people.

Here is the big problem; What we have in America is not Capitalism. We have a Corporate run Government which ensures that TRILLIONS of dollars is stolen from the People and transferred to Banksters, War Profiteers and Politcos. And when times get tough they demand Shared Sacrifice. We sacrifice and they share. American Capitalism is Socialism for the Rich, in which their profits are privatized and their losses are socialized.

This is What Republicans Believe: They get Medicare, You Don't

Rep. Rob Woodall (R-GA) had to put the plebs from his district back in their place with a town hall meeting, when some non-Republican person dared to question him!

Ilene Johnson, a Democratic activist who lives in Gwinnett County, "You take government-subsidized health care, but you are not obligated to take that if you don’t want to. Why aren’t you going out on the free market in the state where you are a resident and buy your own health care?"

Rob Woodall, "It’s because it’s free. It’s because it’s free."

Woodall went on to claim, "Folks, if you give people things for free, don’t blame them for taking them." First off stop with the usage of the term 'Folks'. It doesn't make you seem aw, schucks small townish. Second, Woodall probably thought he was winning points with the crowd with his subjects by educating them about how Medicare is a free service for 'welfare queens' but as always Republicans lie.

Medicare, Medicaid aren't "things for free". They are programs which have been bought and paid for by the American People. And what the Republicans and Paul Ryan are trying to do with their 'Here are Some Coupons go out and try to get Cancer Medication' Deathcare plan is steal that money.

On Newt Gingrich's studio home at Meet The Press David Gregory talked about Paul Ryan Deathcare Plan:

"So, Ruth Marcus, what wins here, bold leadership on Medicare and the argument that the Democrats won't do something courageous or the Democrats who say, hey, those guys want to take away my medicare?"

It's Bold! It's Courageous! Forcing old people to try and pay for their healthcare with a quickly devalued coupon? Forcing sick children to get coverage from Insurance Companies which are caught cheating those children out of coverage now:

When it comes to Medicare, everyone in America, a nation of 300 Million persons should be aware that the 300 Never-Done-An-Honest -Days-Worth-Of-Labor Republican Bureaucrats have been instructed to destroy it and replace it with Paul Ryan's Deathcare Program.

It doesn't matter 80% of the American People dislike these Republican policies because the GOP ignores the will of the people and serve the interests of Billionaires. But, the blatant hypocrisy is galling. Republicans don't even care. They lie to cameras, they lie to consitutents, they lie, lie, lie. Because, even if they do get voted out their families financial future is safe and secure. All these 2010 Teabagged Republicans enjoy lifetime pensions. They see no problem in slashing your benefits while ensuring they will continue to get them.

And all they have to do to win this financial security is cosign We, The People to Perpetual Wage Slavery.

Back in the Blizzard of '79, during the interim non-Daley Chicago Mayoral ship, Jane Bryne (a Daley acolyte) won election precisely because of the inadequate response to the Snow accumulation. This is an affront to God and America! Snow removal is anathema, if he didn't want it to snow he would have made Earth into Venus and then we'd all be living in the lake of fire!

Seriously, I wish the Tea Party would stage rallies in front of those giant Chicago public works lots housing those bastions of Socialism the snow plow/salt spreader! Why don't they stand and tell people if they want their streets and sidewalks clear they should do it themselves?

We all know the answer is because the Tea Party is a sham and the ignorant rabid rightwing which screams Socialism has no idea what that term means.

The Tea Party phenomenon is already done. They are quietly and quickly being subsumed into the Republican Party. Already the Tea Party Representatives are stealing Federal funds, most Tea Party and Republicans represent US states which get more money back from the Federal Government than they pay in taxes, and the same old GOP establishment lobbyists have hooked and ensnared the Teabaggers.

We have a few private roads in my town. This last weekend I had to respond to alarms and a Domestic Battery at homes (McMansions) on that road. Going there was horrid as my Crown Vic slid and fishtailed all over the winding inclined street. The Rich bastards who live off that road don't hire a private snow plow. I have no idea why. Perhaps, like the Tea Party they come to expect certain Government functions to happen without realizing from whence comes the funding.

Palin admits her parents took her to Canada for Socialized Health Care.

I think it is more sinister than that. Have you ever seen Sarah Palin's Birth Certificate, eh? Eh? Eh, der? Nope and why not? Because Sarah Palin was actually BORN IN WHITEHORSE CANADA and she is part of a Rebel Alliance of British Commonwealth Citizens trying to undo the American Revolution!

It's sooooo obvious now. No one who actually loved and wanted the best for America would act the way Our Lady of Iquitarod does! Palin plainly wants to return the US to British Control and while I knew the Republicans were evil I never imagined they would sell the US out to the British!

Teabaggers to be Subverted into the System; Resistance is Futile

Like the Borg, the Republican Party has become a soulless automaton whose only purpose is to absorb more and more Americans and increase their power and control. Now, there is a revived spirit of anti-government rhetoric which the Republicans have set their laser eye beams upon.

The Tea Party is generally grounded in good ideas but the group(s) have been subverted from within and are now being assimilated from without, as the Resplendent RepublicBorg Queen Palin told them.

The Tea Party principle of less government spending is something I can support; halt the 750 Billion plus annually doled out to the Military and the Merchants of Death, stop the subsidizes to the Agri-Business Giants and the Oil Conglomerates, end the no-bid government contracts to Halliburton, and the Mercenaries at Xe (Blackwater), DynCorp, Triple Canopy, stop the Bank Bailouts. Fiscal Responsibility is something I can certainly agree with; the ending of Government's Role as Corporate Welfare Provider and Partner, the ceasing of the US policy of Subsidizing Losses and Privatizing Profits, all worthy goals. Government should be designed to help it's citizens not be controlled and used as a weapon of Oppression the way the Republicans (and Democrats) have usurped her.

But, the Republicans are Hypocrites. They only remember to wear their fiscal responsibility diapers when the Democrats are in office. When they control the Levers of Power Republicans shit upon Americans and Steal as much money as they can and often times Kill Americans just to watch them die.

But, even if a more responsible government was the goal of the Teabaggers, that's not what I or the rest of America saw. Immediately, the images and message coming from the Tea Party was 'Where is Obama's Birth certificate?' and vile racist attempts to undermine Obama by using round about and sometimes explicit bigoted imagery and language as a way to de-legitimize him.

Now I tend to believe agent provocateurs from the Republican Party infiltrated set the fire and worked to subvert the Tea Party from within as high profile Republicans have worked to assimilate the Tea Party from without. But, the end result will be absorption of the Teabaggers into the amorphous Karl Rove-esque blob like body of the Republican Party, which prides itself on being made up of Racists, Punks, Bullies, Chicken Hawks, Thieves and Murderers.

And no matter the Republican running, even Mark Kirk a decorated Naval Intelligence Officer who is hated and reviled by conservatives because he actually served in the military and deployed overseas, I can not bring myself to vote for a Party which has fooled me and the American people.

As a famous Republican Statesman stated, "Fool me once shame on... shame on you. Fool me, you can't get fooled again."

Every Teabagger knows Government employs people who can't hold a job in the competitive private sector. Dick Cheney is an unqualified, shiftless socialist bum who has lived his whole life getting paid to suck off Americans for money.

In fact, when he finally left Government in 2009, Socialist Dick Cheney asked President Obama to extend his Secret Service Protection an additional 6 months till 01/20/10. Despite the fact that the Private Sector always does a better job than the Government. And Dick Cheney abused the Socialist Health Care provided by the Government by being treated at Naval Hospitals by Doctors being paid by money stolen (taxed) from American Taxpayers!

The Republican Party talks a big game about being the Moral, America Defending Free Market Capitalists but it's a huge put on to win votes. Republicans are Immoral, Chicken Hawk, Big Government, Corporate Socialists... Republicans have embraced everything they say they are against.

And many Americans continue to vote for and support the Republican Party who have whipped them into a state of uncivil discourse and use their displaced rage. Of course, some of those people call themselves Conservatives or Anarcho-Libertarian Free Staters but if you voted for Bush and Cheney and consistently tell yourself 'I have to vote for the Republican to cancel out that Loony Left Coast Liberals America Hating Vote' then you are a Republican.

The Republican Party doesn't care why you vote for them just as long as you do. In order to win your vote, they will lie about any and everything. They will claim superior morality, fervent religiosity, hyper patriotism, and Big Brass War Gonads. They claim to have all those attributes even when it's been shown they lack them.

The Republicans claimed to be the Super-Patriots who won World War III over the Soviet Union under President Reagan. So, let us suppose a person born in the Soviet Union denounced Ronald Reagan as a "massive fraud" unfit for command and then declared any who disagreed with that assessment to be Traitors. A Soviet! A Commie, A foot soldier of Nikita Kruschev denouncing the President and what does the Republican Party do? It's as if Republican Jean Schmidt is in bed with Soviet Leader Leonid Brezhnev in their criticism of an American President as Schmidt secretly whispers in the ears of her rabid supporters she agrees with Commies and is against the President of the United States. Jean Schmidt and the Republican Party are Commie Lovers!

Dick Cheney received 6 deferments from service during Vietnam, he had other priorities. Dick Cheney who gave interviews in 1994, when Bill Clinton was President, saying a long occupation of Baghdad and Iraq was a bad idea and not worth the casualties then belittled the Democrats for not defending America from Iraq during the 1990's. But, don't expect the Republicans in Government to decline their Socialized Health Care, the access to is the only reason Dick Cheney is still alive, because if he did not have Socialized Medicine Dick Cheney would be dead, after having been denied all Health Care coverage for having a pre-existing heart condition. Of course, Republicans wouldn't dare vote against Medicare because then the old people who have been duped their entire lives into supporting the evil Republican Party would see the party cares more for profit than people.

The Free Market is the Great Equalizer say the Republicans. Without US Government interference the prices for everything in the US would be lower. Now this is a tricky one for me because I am for protecting American Companies from overseas ones but what the Republican Party is fighting to do, using the power of Government, is to protect the profits of those companies. The Republican Party fights against the individuals who actually work for these companies. This is why the Republicans will fight to keep drugs from American Companies the only legal ones, they charge higher prices than in Canada for the chemically same drug. This is why the Republican Party fought against the American Auto Workers and for the Foreign owned Auto Companies in Alabama, the workers are not allowed to unionize. The Republicans even support Foreign Companies over American workers.

Keeping Americans wages down is a by product of the number overarching one goal of the Republican Party supporting Corporate profits over people. This is why the Republican Party supports companies like Wal*Mart in shipping manufacturing jobs overseas where labor prices and practices are still inhumane. Republicans love it when people are worked to death for Corporate Profits.

This is why they ignored the southern border and allowed millions of illegal immigrants to stream into the US from Mexico and Central America. Those illegal immigrants can't vote against the Republicans but they sure can undercut wages for American workers and steal American jobs. When was the last time you saw a non-Hispanic working for a Lawn Maintenance Company?

So, the Republicans know all they have to do is tell you they hate Socialism, love morality and will protect America and you'll vote for them, even when they openly work against everything they claim the support...
