My gut reaction on reading Marc Thiessen’s new book, Courting Disaster, was: “Why is a speechwriter who’s never served in the military or intelligence community acting as an expert on interrogation and national security?”[I]f you’re not an expert on a subject, shouldn’t you interview experts before expressing an opinion?   

From a 2010 Slate article.  It's quaint to look back upon those times, when people believed rightwingers claims to patriotism and didn't understand the Republican Party is a fully-fascist organization hell bent on destroying the United States and creating a Rightwing Authoritarian Dictatorship.  

Like shit on the bottom of your shoe, rightwing shits never really go away. W(orst POTUS Ever) speechwriter Marc A. Thiessen continues in his role as lying propagandist in the Washington Post Opinion page (Twice weekly!). This week Torture Lover Thiessen wrote a piece proclaiming the Biden Student Loan Forgiveness plan is Stolen Valor.   It should be noted that like most of the Bush War Room, Thiessen is a doughy chickenhawk coward who never served a fucking day in Uniform, let alone in a hostile environment. 

But, imagine that?  A rightwing elitist who never served, never had a real job, never done a day's worth of real work, who's lived on government largesse his entire cushy life, bashing working class Americans for receiving a modest stipend and using "The Troops" to do so.

Thiessen was on par with John Yoo in approving waterboarding and various other forms of torture and much like Sean Hannity, Thiessen agreed to be waterboarded to show how easy it was but, then backed out.  As a couch-borne commando, Thiessen infested multiple media outlets, selling war propaganda and lies to the American public during the Bush Phony War on Terror era.  

After serving as a propaganda mouthpiece for War Crimes, Thiessen moved to the eternally lucrative rightwing grift circle of media appearances, book tours, College speeches, and opinion piece writing.  And the Corporate Media dutifully aided him in the conservative agenda.  The Corporate Media exists to disseminate rightwing propaganda in a semi-sanitized, palatable form for normie America to consume. Even if a specific argument doesn't gain traction, the repetition of lies, conservative bullshit, and light fascism has the desired effect of lodging in the brains of its' readers, where years later a hazy recollection will churn the lies back to the surface.

Like all rightwing American Roman Catholics Marc Thiessen is pro-torture, pro-murder, in favor of reducing women to second class status, against vaccine mandates, and against charity for the poor and downtrodden.  So against everything the Catholic Church was ostensibly founded to mitigate and alleviate.

Thiessen is a shameless liar, a coward, a terrorist, a scumbag. But, far from excising him from the body politic these are positive values conservatives want in their thinkers and leaders and has lead to a 20 year career for a doughy loser who delights in the thought of torturing people and watching Americans suffer.

Right now, a lot of 2003-2004 political strategy manuals are being dusted off. Hopefully, John Kerry's "I was for the war, before I was against it" is not one of them.

In 2003-2004, Democratic politicians tried to thread the needle of a third way between Pro-War and Anti-War. Democrats hoped to be seen supporting the Troops while hedging their bets about the Iraq Invasion and Occupation. Republicans on the other hand went full in on the War and declared anyone who did not support the War was a treasonous Anti-American traitor who sided with the 9/11 attackers. War Criminal Dick Cheney derisively declared, "So?" when the media tepidly pointed out the Iraq War was a massive disaster.

Even as the war dragged on, with deaths, injuries, multiple deployments, torture, war crimes in Abu Ghraib or Fallujah and the WMD lies by W(orst President Ever) were hilariously revealed in a White House comedy skit conservatives were still hammering at the Left and drunkenly claimed Saddam was responsible for 9/11 and Liberals loved Saddam.

As is their nature, conservatives used the troops as a rhetorical cudgel to attack the Left and Democrats fearing they would lose in 2004 were still hesitant to accurately call for Bush's Impeachment as a a War criminal. Well, the wishy-washy Kerry lost in 2004. Republicans fucking gained seats in the House and Senate. So, the Iraq War continued as Bush swaggered around the White House in his phony cowboy attire. Conservatives continued to support Bush and Cheney throughout their Nation Wrecking Maladministration, which went from one disaster to another. Perhaps you recall some of the Bush List of accomplishments: 9/11, protecting the Bin Laden family including Osama, Iraq War Crimes, $5 TRILLION dollars lost in the deserts of Iraq and Wadis of Afghanistan, Katrina, culminating in the Great Republican Recession of 2007.

So, after President Obama won election conservatives quickly declared the Iraq War Won (Victory in Iraq Day is officially 11/22/2008 in conservative #AlternativeFacts Universe). Shamelessly, after years of declaring anyone questioning the Iraq War was a traitor and sided with the terrorists, Trump won (with help from the likes of Zero Hedge) by declaring Hillary Clinton the sole architect responsible for the Iraq War and its failures. And conservatives fell in-line as they always do.

As is necessary when the US engages in military operations Qasem Soleimani has been elevated to near Hitlerian heights in order to justify his killing. Ridiculous joke of a human and Arch-Traitor to the United States Donald J. Trump tweeted,

"General Qassem Soleimani has killed or badly wounded thousands of Americans over an extended period of time, and was plotting to kill many more...but got caught! He was directly and indirectly responsible for the death of millions of people, including the recent large number of PROTESTERS killed in Iran itself." 

100% bullshit. Thousands of Americans? Bullshit! Millions of people! Total Horseshit! And before Mike Pompeo could disseminate the Agitprop of 'Iraqis celebrating and dancing in the streets' the 60 million Trump Lovers took to their social media to declare their jingoistic unwavering support for the mission and the upcoming war with Iran.

So, expect Faux News to replay their greatest hits; You can't criticize a President during a War, you can't support the Troops without supporting Trump, anyone who is against the drone strike of Qasem Soleimani is a hypocrite or a terrorist-lover, Actually Obama/Hillary/John Kerry is responsible for Iran, The Democrats are in league with Iran, and so forth.

Conservatives will dust off the Toby Keith CDs, reattach their faded yellow ribbon magnets, criticize anyone against War as a Terrorist Sympathizer. Right-wingers long ago realized conservatives have No Memory and No Concept of Future Time. There is only the Eternal Now. And you say whatever you need to in order to Win Now.

Winning. You are going to get tired of all the Winning.

Expert research on climatology can be dismissed by some nameless jamoke saying 'Nuh-uh', bad faith actors can declare Jade Helm is a secret Muslim Brotherhood invasion and the Governor and Lt Governor of Texas rally the National Guard. 20 dead children can be dismissed by some on-line gun fetish weirdo who demands you explain the recoil action of the butt stock spring.

Conservatives really took advantage of the end of the media fairness doctrine in the 1980's and then unleashed their disinformation prophets via Talk Radio, Faux News, email list servers, and now the ubiquitous social media factories to pump their toxic Rightwing propaganda directly into the brains of their drones.

Faster than Mark Twain's lie can run around the world and at far more rapid pace than Gish's Gallop, rightwing lies are disseminated, absorbed and regurgitated amongst the faithful and then no matter what, never forgotten. Truth is completely relative and subjective now. On the plus side, Racist Limbaugh, Faux News and Traitor Trump have effectively murdered Ayn Rand's Objectivism.

Over at No More Mister Nice Blog, they have a good example of the methodology of a rightwing fabrication from 2017, about the massive Muslim terrorism and No-Go Zones in Sweden. It's been throughly debunked but, it doesn't matter the information has been absorbed and all good #MAGAts know sans evidence Trump is right, Sweden is a muslim rape fest and hosannah they repeat it everywhere.

Trump despite his limitations latched onto the "Fake News" refrain which afforded him the simple ability to dismiss all criticism and conservatives having been dutifully and willfully self-brainwashed to simply repeat it, to avoid cognitive dissonance and ignore all amount of evidence, for instance the disgusting video evidence of a gross leacherous Trump and his best buddy Jeffrey Epstein on the prowl.

I don't believe we can overcome this. Propaganda has won and Trump's "invasion" rhetoric and raw racism and witch hunt cries have already lead to violence and death and conservatives are waiting and yearning for Trump to give them the go ahead to round up and kill the Non-#MAGA.

From Black to White, the changing face of Drug Addiction and Punishment

Now, that white opioid users have surplanted black people as the face of Addiction, America has begun to experience a change of heart when it comes to Draconian Drug Laws and Sentences.

Before moving on to the body of this post let me note, I am all in favor of decriminalization of a minor drug like cannabis and a pivot on harder drugs towards medical treatment as opposed to punishment. But, it's incontravertable that society's pivot towards treating Opiate Use as a medical illiness instead of as a criminal act is because the weight of the Criminal Laws are now wrecking white people's lives and not just those in black or brown communities.

All of sudden, white people have begun to experience the horrors the 50 years of Republican War on Drugs has wreaked upon minorities. Harsh Punishment used to be reserved for those people. Now, whites get to see their children's futures ruined over minor non-violent drug possession charges.

As an aside, this is why I don't believe in heightening the contradictions, i.e. allowing Donald Trump to assume the Presidency in order to bring about the perfect left candidate. White Working Class People, the base of the Republican Party, were abso-fucking-lutely fine with harsh laws as long as the long-haired hippies were getting the truncheons and blacks were being incarcerated/ruined for drugs.

Now, that those same rules are applied to them? Well, it's time to re-evaluate the War on Drugs!!!

For the last 5 decades, the Republicon Party at the behest of their Plutocratic Owners, have been dismantling the Progressive Gains of the 20th century, the so-called American Dream. At first they started with black and brown Americans because they knew Whites were enjoying the benefits of Liberal Democratic Society and wouldn't say much.

Unlike, the contention the Democratic Party abandoned the white working class 50 years ago, the Democratic Party decided to make good (as best they could) to the promises made to African-Americans and other marginalized segments of society.

Whites who had nearly been the sole benefactors of New Deal Government Programs became irritated, especially as the Republican Party made sure that any gains for minorities would be taken directly from the pockets of the working class, that other people were being aided by those programs.

Nixon, a master politician, understood this back in 1968 and took advantage to win the Presidency,

“The Nixon campaign in 1968, and the Nixon White House after that, had two enemies: the antiwar left and black people. You understand what I’m saying? We knew we couldn’t make it illegal to be either against the war or black, but by getting the public to associate the hippies with marijuana and blacks with heroin, and then criminalizing both heavily, we could disrupt those communities. We could arrest their leaders, raid their homes, break up their meetings, and vilify them night after night on the evening news. Did we know we were lying about the drugs? Of course we did.”

Ronald Reagan identified the Government, the one now helping poor blacks, as the problem. Of course, while he demonized welfare queens and steak-eatin' young bucks he was busily dismantling the manufacturing base of America. For blacks in the 1980's the loss of economic opportunity in large cities, was thus replaced with Gangs and Drug-based Capitalism.

The continued Republicon assault on the American Worker and Industry and the transition to a finance-based Capitalism as opposed to manufacturing of the 20th century has reached working class whites.

George W(orst POTUS Ever) Bush attempted to delay the full impact of Republicon Capitalism on American Society by trying to swindle Social Security and dumping a massive influx of capital into the hands of the Vultures on Wall Street, but was defeated. If he had been successful perhaps the Republican Recession of 2007 would have been averted for another decade or perhaps just a few years.

In either case, Bush/Cheney would have been a safe enough distance to proclaim it wasn't demonstrably their fault.

Thus, whites who had already seen their good-paying Union jobs and benefits disappear thanks to right-wing Vulture Capitalism saw their home equity and meager retirement savings vanish into Mitt Romney's Cayman Island Bank Accounts and into 50,000 millionaires secret UBS Swiss Bank Accounts.

So, while we've also witnessed the greatest decline in standard of living and life expectancy for working class white people we've seen those same white people turn to the only thriving industry left in America, Drug Dealing.

Republicans Use Debt as a Weapon (Updated)

"We are enslaving future generations, our children and grandchildren to debt that we are irresponsibly putting on their credit card," Arkansas State Senator Terry Rice said, arguing that accepting federal funding as part of the expansion would add to the national debt.

Time Magazine made the smart decision to put its dumb cover story about the national debt behind a paywall. The premise — the national debt is like household debt and should be considered as if it’s apportioned equally to every U.S. resident — is stupid on its face. But Matt O’Brien has read the thing because nobody else will, and it’s even worse than its premise. When you’re considering a flat tax, it’s not because you care about the national debt, it’s because you think wealth needs to be massively redistributed upwards, with the debt as the tissue-thin pretext.

From time to time Republicans trot out Fix The Debt but, like the 3-card Monte Dealers they are, Republicans never worry about debt when they are in charge of Government. Debt is a shell game Republicons use to distract their duped drones in order to continue their plans of slashing the social safety net and transferring Trillions of Dollars of future Americans Wealth upwards to their Plutocratic Masters.

This is not a new weapon but, like all the Moldy Chestnuts/ Zombie Lies the Republicons promulgate, a new batch of vicious conservatives emerges to pick up the torch to burn the Social Contract.

Back in 2010 as President Obama submitted his plan to help the country escape the Republicon Recession of 2007, the House GOP got together and trotted out the same old sky is falling, Fix The Debt chicanery,

These unsustainable debt and deficit burdens were not imposed upon us by some outside force, they are created by the choice to grow the federal government and spend at unprecedented levels.
Reflecting on his own coming of age in a time of economic turmoil, Ronald Reagan said, “To be young in my generation was to feel that your future had been mortgaged out from under you, and that's a tragic mistake we must never allow our leaders to make again.”

Invoking the rotted corpse of Zombie Reagan and his Voodoo Economics is a given but, always worth laughing at, since Ronnie Raygun and Daddy Bush ran up $4 Trillion dollars of National Debt in the 1980's, which famously hamstrung President Bill Clinton, and along with the 1994 Republicon Contract on America gave us the worst elements of the Clinton Economy; i.e. The Budget Surplus.

When the Republicons stole the 2000 election, they made their first order to run the deficits back up, steal the Surplus, and pile more Debt upon the American People. Shadow President Dick Cheney in 2002 observed, "Reagan proved deficits don't matter."

Of course, by 2010, Jeb??? Henserling and Paul90X Ryan conveniently left out wherein they and the Republicon Party ran up Trillions in Debt with their foolish and callous taxcut-and-spending and military adventurism. Most dramatically illustrated by the 5 Trillion dollars of debt the Republicons added to National Deficit with their criminal misadventure in Iraq, the open-ended burden treating our wounded Veterans and their families will cost in the next 25-50 years under the dunder-headed leadership of W(orst POTUS in History) and the evil, criminal agenda of War Criminal Shadow President Cheney.

But, Republicons never take responsibility for their actions, they Just Do and let future generations sort out the mess. "We're an empire now, and when we act, we create our own reality," - Karl Rove.

Thus, when Republicons are in power massive deficit spending is undertaken usually focused on the military and overseas adventurism, but when the Democratic Party is elected to the Congress or Presidency Fixing the Debt! and slashing Spending for the Social Safety Net becomes the only thing a responsible government can do. 

It derailed President Obama during his struggle with the Domestic Terrorists in the Republicon Party. The vicious use of Fix the Debt! to crush the American People was vividly illustrated by Paul90X Ryan's Path to Penury budget during the 2012 election, correctly called Ludicrous and Cruel by Paul Krugman. Of course, as with every action by the Republicon Party the Fix the Debt rhetoric serves their overarching agenda of stealing Social Security, defunding Medicare, and transferring wealth up their Plutocratic Owners, the 1%. It's the raison d'etre for the modern Republicans.

Much of this is predicated upon the fact that the holders of debt are always incredibly wealthy members of the 1%. "Some people call you the elites... I call you my base," - W(orst) addressing his Moneyed Masters.

As such, according to Republican Orthodoxy, Debt Holders must be made whole before the business of government can continue. If this means using the IMF to extract blood money from impoverished Nations to Vulture Capitalists who buy up their debt on the global market, fine. If it means bailing out Casino Hedge Fund Managers who made bad bet upon bad bet in the rigged housing market, building up towers upon foundations of shit until the whole edifice collapsed then so be it.

The Rich need always to be made whole and the Republicons stalk and slice up the Poor and Working Class in order to accomplish it. This is what the Republicons always do when they assume office. Ronnie Raygun's massive deficit spending, W(orst)'s blundering and destabilizing of the Middle East, and his scheme to swindle Social Security right before the Republican Recession of 2007 are designed to build up massive levels of Debt which the Republicans fully intend to extract from the American People.

Bush and Cheney screwed America but, they hope you forget and Blame Barack Obama (Update) Iraq War Crimes

"Hold on! You can't blame George Bush for that!" Stephanie Ruhle informed Donald Trump he had violated the 0th Law of the Republican Party for blaming George W. Bush for 9/11.

Everyone knows the First Law, that is Ronald Reagan was a Modern Day Gilgamesh who single-handedly defeated the Soviet Union, balanced the budget, cut taxes and created a budgetary surplus simultaneously.

But, mentioning any of the massive failures of George W. Bush, especially the worst disaster on the CONUS since the War of 1812 is anathema. Bush kept US safe, hosannah, hosannah, hosannah.

9/11 happened over 14 years ago and no I will never forgive W(orst POTUS Ever), Dick Cheney or the Republican Party. I do not believe any of the MIHOP or LIHOP or other 9/11 related Conspiracies, this was sheer incompetence.

But, Bush's incompetence, especially ignoring the August 6th Memo which specifically warned Bin Laden Determined to Strike in US, was massively compounded by Right-Wing failures during the Phony Global War on Terror and the Conservative policies of oppression, intolerance and adulation of the rich, which created the Republican Recession of 2007 after the Guard Dogs of the Plutocracy passed law after law, and ruling after ruling designed to grind the working class into penury and ensure the recreation of a Neo-Feudalist State.

Jeb Bush called the elimination of Saddam Hussein a pretty good deal. Perhaps it was a "pretty good deal", if like all NeoCons you have no skin in the game because Never Forget you can't get any skin from a Bush... But, just as was predicted it completely destabilized the region, empowered Iran, and led to the creation of ISIS.

When Faux News Chris Wallace, of all people, pointed out the Bush/Cheney Cabal left President Obama with a mess, Dick "5 Deferments" Cheney tersely replied, "I don't think of it that way."

Of course, he doesn't in Dick-less Cheney's Universe everything he and Bush did was a resounding success, which the Mainstream Media, who slavishly wish to show they don't have those icky, evil liberal tendencies is only too eager to agree with as Stephanie Buhle demonstrated when she was shocked, SHOCKED! anyone would imply George W. Bush did anything other than keep us safe.

Edward Said accurately described the insane pathos that drove Bush/Cheney to adopt the Right-Wing Reverse-Domino Theory,

My strong opinion, though I don't have any proof, in the classical sense of the word, is that they want to change the entire Middle East, and the Arab world, perhaps terminate some countries, destroy the so-called terrorist groups they dislike, and install régimes friendly to the United States. I think this is a dream that has very little basis in reality. The knowledge they have of the Middle East, to judge from the people who advise them, is, to say the least, out of date and widely speculative.

When 9/11, is combined with Hurricane Katrina, the bungled Phony War on Terror, and the Republican Recession of 2007, no other President has a been such a disaster and hurt America so badly since Jefferson Davis.

ISIS is the unholy muslim lovechild of Ronald Reagan and George W. Bush

A recent picture meme going around Facebook showed an image of Ronnie Raygun with the block letters

And thus we have another hilarious incident of conservative ignorance.

Of course, this is active stupidity on the part of Conservatives because when faced with Muslim Terror Attacks in Lebanon, Ronald Reagan disarmed the Marine Corps Gate Guards and let hundreds of US Service Members and Diplomatic Employees get blown apart in two seperate Truck Bomb Attacks which used the same tactics.

After Ronald Reagan cut-and-run in the face of danger, he gave birth to Al Qaeda. Today's ISIS is the current incarnation of Reagan's explicit creation of Al Qaeda grown, nutured and trained by the George W. Bush and his Iraqi Adventure.

But, you can't expect Conservatives to know this history. Sarah Palin and other right-wing luminaries are paid to tell Conservatives that these Muslim Extremists were created ex nihlo. But, the rise of 20th Century Muslim Terrorism lays directly at the feet of the United States and the two worst Presidents to ever besmirch the White House; Ronald Reagan and George W. Bush.

Post World War 2, the House of Saud was given a 40 year free reign to spread Wahabism throughout the Muslim World, when the Soviet Union invaded Afghanistan many young Saudis Wahabist fanatics deployed to Afghanistan to kill godless Soviet Soldiers.

Of course, the Soviet Union was already on it's last legs, but the guerilla warfare of the Mujaheddin, armed with U.S. made Stinger missles and trained by the CIA and U. S. Special Forces helped hasten their demise. But, after their victory, Reagan's Muslim Extremists would not quietly slip back into their Madrassas. Thus, once the USSR sulked out of Afghanistan they went back to their texts but, kept their Kalishnakovs oiled and ready.

At the same time, Reagan's Muslim Fanatics were killing commies, Donald Rumsefled had been dispatched to provide aid to Saddam Hussein and his very secular Iraqi Regime to combat the Ayatollah and his Iranian Extremists. Of course, the Ayatollah and the Fanatics in Iran had come into existence in 1979 because the United States had overthrown the Iranian Government and placed the Shah into Power in 1953. The Shah was a brutal dictator but, much like Saddam Hussein in the 1980's he was our Dictator.

So, a million people died during the Iran-Iraq War but, Saddam Hussein felt he paid his dues to the United States, was now our newest Middle East Dictator,and was free to reclaim the Iraqi Province of Kuwait, which the British had created in 1919 as a port for British Petroleum.

The Saudis didn't like having Secular Saddam Hussein running around with his big military so they invited the United States into Saudi Arabia for protection and the lapdog of the House of Saud George H.W. Bush happily obliged. The House of Bush is a vassal client to the House of Saud and accepted the U.S. would be a Suzerain of Saudi Arabia long ago.

Unfortunately, the presence of American Armed Forces in the Islamic Holy Land angered Osama Bin Laden and his CIA -backed, Reagan-created Muslim Extremists. So, they focused their new Jihad on the United States.

Meanwhile, GHW Bush launched Desert Storm, based on lies, which routed Saddam's Army because it was a Paper Tiger despite all the US Propaganda about it being the World's 4th Largest Military. But, Saddam remained in power as Dick Cheney and Don Rumsfeld encouraged the Shite Marsh Arabs to rise up and do the work of overthrowing Saddam.

The Marsh Arabs rise and are crushed by Saddam's Forces who realise U.S. A-10's aren't demolishing their tank columns. Saddam Hussein spends the next 10 years slowly erasing the Marshes and eliminating the Shite Arabs.

Meanwhile, Osama Bin Laden strikes at US interests across the Globe while Muslim Fanatics continue to train in Saudi created and Saudi petro-dollar funded religious schools. These later Muslim Extremists move into Afghanistan and create an Islamic State.

George W. Bush lost the 2000 Presidential Election but, was made President anyway. W, is expected to be a Calvin Coolidge like figure, dutifully helping Business gain power at the expense of the working class in the United States, while pretending to be a Compassion Conservative.

Now, George W. Bush wasn't interested in doing Presidential work, but in the regalia of being President, so he ignores the August 6th memo warnings about the Reagan-created Muslim Fanatics and their Plan to Strike in America.

And thus the United States is attacked on 9/11 (15 of the 19 hijackers are Saudi) while blithering idiots Rudy Giuliani and W(orst President in History) do nothing.

After the attacks, despite vowing to bring the evil-doers to Justice (a vow he never fulfilled), George W. Bush allows Osama Bin Laden to escape from Tora Bora in 2001 when Dick Cheney orders the SEAL mission canceled, and spends the next 2 years lying about Saddam Hussein, because W's liege lord the King of Saudi Arabia demands the United States attack Iraq.

So, based on "smoking gun, mushroom cloud" sized lies and a fabricated  connection between Saddam and Osama Bin Laden , W(orst President Ever) begins Operation Iraqi Liberation (OIL).

The Iraqi War is declared won by Republicans and Conservatives many times over during Bush's Presidency from Mission Accomplished on May 1, 2003 to Victory in Iraq Day Nov. 22, 2008 this despite a constant flow of U.S. killed and wounded and the hundreds of thousands of murdered Iraqis.

And throughout the Massive Failure, Bush smirks and jokes about missing WMDs, while US Troops are killed and hundreds of thousands are wounded; physically, emotionally, mentally, spiritually and morally.

But, what does the Iraqi War succeed at spectacularly? The creation of a new generation of battle -hardened Muslim Extremists. Because, while Saddam was in power in Iraq the fanatics did not have a base of Operations but now thanks to the complete destabilizing of the region ISIS fanatics have training, experience, weaponry and recruits aplenty.

So, that's ISIS, the unholy love child of Ronald Reagan and W(orst President Ever) and if conservatives want to the United States to re-invade and fight them? Well, there are local recruiting offices throughout the country.

The Torturous Bush Presidency was a Cabal of War Criminals

The US finally released a report on the Torture used at the behest and urging of the Bush/Cheney Regime shedding light on one of the most heinous, unconscionable crimes of the 21st Century. Of course, We, the People and the rest of the World have known for over a decade the Bush/Cheney Regime requested, created, oversaw and protected the Use of Torture or as it euphemistically became known as "Enhanced Interrogation Techniques".

Right after 9/11 Dick Cheney told the Nation and the World, the New American Policy was Torture. Who would be tortured? Anyone. Everyone. Innocence and Guilt were non-factors. Bush and Cheney wanted Torture.

Whole sections of the Executive Branch were devoted to making Torture Official US Policy, the Justice Department was co-opted into crafting "legal" arguments for the efficacy of Torture and the rescinding of the "quaint" Geneva Conventions. White House officials made repeated Sunday Talk Show appearances hinting at the dozens of plots stopped by Torture. Jack Bauer would save Fox America through Torture. Torture was the Universal Panacea of the Bush White House.

But, Americans have known since the Philippine Insurrection, that Torture is wrong. Until 2001 and the Bush/Cheney Regime and their duped or willing accomplices. A Harvard Student Research Paper found that when Americans learned of the Abu Gharib scandal suddenly Bush Torture Lawyers began to push the notion of "Harsh" or "Enhanced Interrogation" methods to their media contacts and the Media stopped calling referring to The Bush Regime's War Crimes Torture and began to pretend as though there was a hotly contested debate about what is and what isn't Torture. Thus, we magically invented "two sides" of the Torture issue.

The report is just the latest reveal of the brutal War Crimes committed by the Bush Regime. And those war crimes were enabled by the worst Traitors in American History: Conservatives.

So, while Torture doesn't work it was successful,

Rarely has a U.S. president been so wrong about so much at the expense of so many. 

This one sentence encapsulates the entire pathological evil which drives the chicken hawk cowardly warmonger criminals who infest the Republican Party. Republicans are everything they claim they hate and are the antithesis of everything they claim to support.

President Obama announced today that the US would be providing 300 advisors and established JOC (Joint Operation Centers) in Baghdad and Northern Iraq. Additionally, surveillance elements would be dispatched and re-tasked to provide US additional intel on the situation involving the ISIL/ISIS.

The President also declared he would make Congress take the lead in determining a further course of action. Congress, of course, wants nothing to do with Iraq and will demagogue hoping President Obama will choose an official course of action which, either way they can attack as wrong.

The Bush/Cheney Crusade was naught but a massive list of monstrous crimes against Humanity which continue to this day.

The Nations of Iran and Turkey now must turn a large amount of their attention and resources towards containing the violence unleashed by Cheney's Evil.

The continuing Civil War in Syria will create a stable of potential fighters. Additionally, thousands of displaced innocent people are in a humanitarian crisis.

If the Kurdish People begin a push for an independent state, the Turks and the Persians aren't just going to let the areas of their countries slip away. As late as the 1990's the Turkish Government made the Kurdish language, Kurdish names and Kurdish newspapers and radio illegal.

In Iraq, families haven't yet recovered from Bush's War of Lies and now they face a tripartite Civil War, which will eventually end a mess of semi-functioning states. So, the Middle East will be a cauldron of Death and Mayhem. All thanks to the despicable evil humanoid creature Dick Cheney.

The world just hasn’t had that much warfare lately, at least not by historical standards. Some of the recent headlines about Iraq or South Sudan make our world sound like a very bloody place, but today’s casualties pale in light of the tens of millions of people killed in the two world wars in the first half of the 20th century. Even the Vietnam War had many more deaths than any recent war involving an affluent country.

Counterintuitive though it may sound, the greater peacefulness of the world may make the attainment of higher rates of economic growth less urgent and thus less likely. Rather, the very possibility of war focuses the attention of governments on getting some basic decisions right — whether investing in science or simply liberalizing the economy. Such focus ends up improving a nation’s longer-run prospects.

War is the Health of the State, especially when the Rich run the Government and profit mightily when the Poor are sent of to die. As Cowan points out it's just the poor dying so he doesn't care.

So, Mitt Romney continued at his at his Utah gathering, "I lost the election, but I will continue to fight." Now you have to understand that when Romney talks about fighting he doesn't mean himself or his sons. It means other, less Rich Americans.

George W(orst POTUS Ever) Bush used the Iraq War to funnel Trillions of dollars into the Bank Accounts of the Plutocracy, the super rich and Corporations. His base as he called them. It's another part of the Monstrous Crimes Bush perpetrated which we've lost sight of in recent years and which the American people need to be reminded about. W(orst POTUS Ever), his Republican Guard Dogs, right-wing drones and conservative chicken hawks engaged in a War Crime similar to the Genocide of Native Americans.

Now, President Obama has deployed 170 forces into Baghdad to support the US Embassy, in the old Green Zone. There are an additional 100 waiting in reserve. And apparently there was discussion of inserting Special Forces Operators into the New Iraqi Army to provide support and bolster their flagging morale. Sadly, this has the smell of advisors all over it.

Of course, I'm glad he did it before Republicans Benghazi'ed the President again. For you see Republicans have this nasty habit of undermining the Troops and underfunding security for Agencies and then blaming the President for their despicable misdeeds.

Nonetheless, all across the Conservative Sunday Morning Talk circuit, the Old Architects of the Iraq Debacle were trotted out yet again. Yet again we must watch as the Republican Party Drones and their Conservative Chicken Hawks are allowed to lie about Iraq.

Conservatives love sending braver men into combat because with those men removed from the US conservatives finally have a chance at getting sex. Reports are that Mosul and Tikrit have fallen to the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS) who "defeated" the American trained Iraqi Army despite facing 40:1 Odds Against. The ISIS states they plan to march on Baghdad and conquer the Country. the Maliki Government has requested drones and air support from the US. A request the Obama Administration has refused, thus far.

The economy is still in a shambles from the Republican Recession, the Trillions of Dollars wasted in Iraq and Afghanistan and the Billions stolen by the obscene Bush Tax Cuts.

Under Bush and Cheney the top 0.1% got a tax cut of $520,000, 450 times what the middle income taxpayer received. The bottom 20% of Americans only got 1% of the tax cut, a $300 dollars Department of Treasury check. The tax cuts were sold as a way to bring in middle class jobs and rising middle class wages.

Koch Industries and the Exxon/Mobil funded Heritage Foundation rabidly cheered and promoted the Bush Tax Cuts. The Heritage Foundation's 2001 report proclaimed if the Bush tax cut legislation were to pass, it would:

1) Effectively pay off the federal debt;
2) Reduce the federal surplus by $1.4 trillion;
3) Substantially increase family income;
4) Save the entire Social Security surplus;
5) Increase personal savings;
6) Create more job opportunities.

Everyone of those claims was a deliberate lie to sell the tax cuts to the middle class as a job creator and deficit reducer. None of these claims came true because the Plutocracy and their Think Tanks knew they were lies. What did occur was a massive transfer of wealth upwards to the Plutocracy, which were the true goals of the Bush Tax Cuts and part of the Republican plan all along. 

Bush and the Republicans Wars are still costing the Nation. Thousands of American Veterans suffer from PTSD, many of them resort to taking their life, because the Republican Party doesn't care about broken soldiers and hasn't cared since they started the Wars. In total a Million Veterans may require a lifetime of coverage and support which Bush never intended to provide them with and the Republican  Party continually votes against providing.

Torture, the Bush TARP, a Bankers wet dream, wherein another Trillion in American taxpayer funds was grotesquely funneled directly to aid the Rich as a last Bushian Fuck You to the people.

But, you'll be hard pressed to find a conservative who voted for Bush nowadays. They are rarer than Hen's Teeth.

And now, the coup de'grace, the failure of George W(orst President Ever) Bush's Reverse Domino Theory in Iraq.

Two senior Iraqi politicians told Western intelligence that Saddam Hussein had no weapons of mass destruction on the eve of the 2003 invasion – but their warnings were ignored and then not reported to the subsequent Butler inquiry, according to a major new investigation. 

Vital intelligence used to justify the invasion of Iraq 10 years ago was based on "fabrication" and "wishful thinking", the BBC Panorama documentary claims. While information from highly placed Iraqis was dismissed as unimportant if it indicated that Hussein did not have WMD, tip offs from low-ranking Iraqis were eagerly lapped up if they reinforced what George W Bush and Tony Blair wanted to hear, it is claimed.

Hundreds of Thousands dead and at least $5 Trillion lost on the Iraq Debacle based on "intelligence" Tony Blair and MI6 and George W(orst President Ever) Bush and the CIA knew was fabricated while dissenting intelligence was ignored.

John McCain (and others) are pushing the We Won Iraq until That One lost it.

Sure, a perpetual "stablizing force" suffering the daily death of one or more military members. America has a long history of Mistreating Veterans

NeoCon Frank Gaffney: "It is regrettable that they had to die, but I believe they did have to die... I'm still delighted that we did what we did."

Sure, under the George W(orst President Ever) Bush Administration Republicans repeatedly lied and claimed they cared about Veterans when the truth was the Republican Party was trying to get as many Veterans kill themselves as possible while Bush and Cheney used Veterans and active duty military members as props in their re-election campaign.

Throughout his mis-administration W(orst President Ever) repeatedly cut the budget to the VA and eliminated benefits and medical care for Veterans.

Because the only Veteran Conservatives love is a dead Veteran. Then Ann Coulter, Sean Hannity or any number of chicken hawk professional commentators can stick their perverted inhuman right-wing ideology onto the lips of the dead Veterans, as they did with Pat Tillman.

And when it turns out Pat Tillam was anti-war, was against every part of W(orst President Ever) decisions and regularly read Noam Chomsky. Right-Wing Garbage Ann Coutler can simply say, "I don't believe it." Chicken Hawk Hannity gleefully concurs, "I don't believe it either."

In 2005 the Pentagon's then undersecretary for personnel and readiness, David S. Chu outlined what the Republicans found disagreeable. Veterans benefits are hurtful to national defense,

"The amounts have gotten to the point where they are hurtful. They are taking away from the nation's ability to defend itself."

So, the Republican Party under the direct leadership of Bush and Cheney began undercutting funds for Veterans.

In 2007, the Mainstream Media could no longer cover for the Criminal Bush and Cheney Regime when it revealed soldiers wounded in Afghanistan and Iraq,"fallen heroes," were being warehoused in Building 18, a rat- and roach-infested satellite of the Army's Walter Reed Medical Center. 

In 2008 when CBS News revealed the Department of Veterans Affairs and Doctor Ira Katz the VA's head of Mental Health deliberately withheld critical information about the true suicide risk among veterans.

Additionally, in 2008 NPR reported Army officials pressured the Department of Veterans Affairs to stop helping wounded Veterans with their paperwork so Veterans wouldn't get their proper disability rating or benefits.

But, none of this absolves President Obama. I expect despicable evil from Republicans I expect better from President Obama. 

The problem is America has a long and cherished history of casting aside the Veteran after the War is over.

After the Revolutionary War, Veterans found themselves at the mercy of corrupt Capitalists, who like the Hedge Fund thieves of today, swindled them out of the land grants and the promissory notes allocated specifically for Veterans. Perhaps 2000-3000 Revolutionary Veterans received a Pension.

Post Civil War homeless Union Veterans were in such abundance that in 1868 NY Governor Reuben E. Fenton claimed they "numbered in the thousands". It wasn't until the Dependent Pension Act of 1890, pushed for by Widows, Children and Veterans of the Grand Army of the Republic that every Union Veteran was eligible for a Pension. Southern States had been providing Pensions, despite terrible economic hardships, for wounded Confederate Soldiers from at least the 1880's since traitors weren't eligible for Federal Pensions.

As a percentage of the federal budget, expenditures for Civil War veterans greatly exceeded those for veterans today (1989) which consume less than 3 percent of that budget. In 1893 veterans' benefits to former Union soldiers or their dependents constituted more than 40 percent of the overall federal budget.

In 1932 the Bonus Army, Veterans of World War I, peaceably assembled to petition the US Government for a redress of grievances but Republican President Herbert Hoover first sent the Washington Police and when they failed dispatched General Douglas MacArthur and his aide-de-camp Dwight Eisenhower along with George S. Patton and 6 battle tanks to forcibly disband the Veterans.

Much like Occupy the Bonus Army was attacked, driven out of their camp sites and had their tents and possessions burned.

Herbert Hoover's policies created the First Republican Depression, in a similar way that W's policies have created the Second  Republican Depression.

While the World War 2 Veteran, received praise, understanding and was cherished for his knowledge and experiences, especially in the creation of the GI Bill many WWII vets still fell through the cracks in society. Of the survivors from the Iwo Jima Flag Raising, USMC hero Ira Hayes drank himself to death in 1955. As a Pima Native American, Hayes also faced the bigotry of his era.

But, Rene Gagnon another of the 3 Flag raising survivors died in 1979 at only 54 years old an alcoholic as well. Broken, bitter and nearing the end of his life, Gagnon reportedly said, 

"When someone who doesn't know me is introduced to me, they say 'That was you in The Photograph?' What the hell are you doing working here? If I were you, I'd have a good job and lots of money.'"

It took a Veteran the stature of Audie Murphy speaking out about his post-traumatic struggles, previously known as Battle Fatigue or Shell-shock, for society at large to take note.

Nowadays, Hollywood can trot out any number of cliched movies with the homeless veteran cast aside by society or the self-medicating Veteran drinking a case of beer a night or the adrenaline junkie Veteran pushing the envelope to reenact the rush of combat, but these stereo-typed cliches exist because those Veterans exist.

Now in the Phony GWoT era, Veterans were a large portion of the Ranks of Occupy, because if one group can see how the American Capitalist system chews up and spits out people, it is Veterans.

Yes, I understand Republicans have been playing fuck-fuck games with Veterans, cutting VA benefits and casting Veterans adrift without proper care and services. But, they've been this doing for years.

The main issue concerning Veterans is Money. Whose going to pay for the wounded Veteran? Or provide the food and shelter so a psychologically scared Vet slowly re-acclimate into society?

Because the Republican Party sure the hell isn't.

As the madness of Benghazi Fever fully inflects the Republican Party, Sinn Fein member Peter King demanded a minute by minute account of President Obama's actions and whereabouts on September 11, 2012. Congressman King expressed his concern the Commander-in-Chief's job while in the Oval Office is to ensure the safety of Americans overseas in potential war zones.

Of course, as everyone knows US History from August 6, 2001 September 11, 2001 to January 19, 2009 did not exist. During that non-time, from listening to Republicans and Faux News, I've learned the following,

"We were certainly safe between 2000 and 2008. I don't remember any terrorist attacks on American soil during that period of time." - Eric Bolling 

"We did not have a terrorist attack on our country during President Bush's term..." - Dana Perino. 

"We inherited the most tragic attack on our own soil in our nation's history," - Mary Matalin. 

"[George Bush] he inherited the negative impact of 9/11," - Sean Hannity  

"What he should be doing is following the right things that Bush did, we had no domestic attacks under Bush," - Rudy Guilani

I think it's time we demand an hour by hour account of what George W. Bush was doing in the White House from when he declared Major Combat Operations over on May 1, 2003 (thanks to Hackwackers for reminding me of that ignoble anniversary) to the end of his White House residency on Jan 19, 2009.

But, I don't know how pages of brush-clearing, bike riding and Heh heh heh Pootie Poot! I could take.

Of course, as is the wont of Republicans they blame everyone else for their failures. Just like when the Bush Administration blamed the US Navy and crew of the U.S.S. Abraham Lincoln for the Mission Accomplished banner.

But, with Congressman Trey Gowdy set to chair the Boehner Select Benghazi Committee the Impeachment of President Obama is, most likely, imminent. 

"Well, I have evidence that not only are they hiding [Benghazi information], there is an intent to hide it," Trey Gowdy said of the Obama White House during a Friday interview on Fox News. "I can’t disclose that evidence yet, but I have evidence that there was a systematic, intentional decision to withhold certain documents from Congress."

Don't expect the Republicans to be doing anything for the next 6 months other than continuously threatening Impeachment.

Why wouldn't we Impeach a President for not protecting and defending Americans??? Thousands of Americans murdered in the World Trade Towers and a tens of thousands of Soldiers, Sailors, Marines and Airmen in Iraq killed and wounded wonder the same thing...

GM's Ignition Switch is a direct result of Republican beliefs in the Myth of Self-Regulation

General Motors has revealed (or had exposed) a flaw in their ignition system affecting the following models; Chevy Cobalt and HHR, the Pontiac G5, and Saturn ION mainly between the 2005 to 2007 models. The ignition flaw known to GM engineers and officals, possibly as early as 2002, and which underwent a quiet in-house redesigning in 2006, was not announced for recall until February 10, 2014.

Currently, 34 traffic crashes and 12 deaths are linked (albeit not yet conclusively) to the flaw which causes the ignition to turn off under heavy jarring as in an impact or while driving on bad road conditions.

Government Regulations require Corporations report flaws to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) as soon as they become reasonably aware of the flaw or defect, but under George W. Bush, General Motors, as illustrated with the 2006 quiet redesign, and other Corporations in the United States felt utterly secure in not reporting or following any regulations.

Like all Republicans, The Bush Administration cultivated an Air of Neglect and assured Americans that Corporations would Self-Regulate. The Myth of Self-Regulation is that Companies would never defraud, negligently or maliously harm consumers because by doing so they would, in fact, be harming themselves. So since it's in their self-interest Corporations will correct problems and not engage in criminal activity. What actually happens is Corporations routinely flout regulations because they know No Republican will ever prosecute them for their criminal negligence.

Part and parcel of their absolute devotion to the Myth of Self-Regulation, Republicans often hamstring Regulatory bodies by underfunding and slashing their budget or neutering their enforcement powers, but even worse Bush and other Republicans often place people who are explicitly hostile to Regulatory Bodies in positions of authority over those organizations.

Under Bush and his Republican brethren, the NHTSA, the EPA, the MHSA, the SEC and every other Governmental Regulatory body were neutered so that Businesses could engage rapacious profiteering and whatever criminal activity they desired.

Because Republicans want a Corporate Plutocracy controlling the Nation while the 99% are shackled in perpetual Corporate Bondage and Wage Slavery.

Neoconservative chicken hawk Republicans are running their standard Blame Barack Campaign for the recent violence in Iraq.

and echoed by Flopping Aces and hundreds of other conservative epistemically closed fart bubble blogs, Violence in Iraq, which never actually stopped, is again on the Rise with the latest media reports declaring extremists have captured Fallujah from the so-called Iraqi Army.

Iraq was never about Peace, the Reverse-Domino-Theory, (basically that standing up a domino of Democracy in Iraq would magically stand up dominos of Democracy in other Middle East Nations) propagated by lead from the rear War Proponents was a thin veneer to cover their true goals which was a plan to steal Trillions of Dollars from the US taxpayers while also opening up Iraqs Oil Reserves for theft by Anglo-American Oil Conglomerates.

So, now what? Flabby-assed Republicans will try and run the 'Liberals are bad at war while Republicans are macho he-men'. 

While Bloody Bill Kristol, Just Six More Months Thomas Friedman, Charles Krauthammer, Jason Mattera, Ben Ferguson, Matthew Continetti, Chris Vucovich or the College Republican Chicken Hawks never saw a War that they didn't want some other American to fight. Including a Return to Iraq...

The March of Austerity and the Republican Assault on Americans

Despite whatever you may have heard from various MSM talking heads or across the Blog-o-sphere; the Republican Government Shutdown was a Victory for the Right.

Besides getting more people angry at Government gridlock and become exasperated because Both Sides Do It! the Shutdown was a successful Economic Coup d'Etat. 

The $24 billion lost during the government shutdown wasn't "wasted". It was permanently stolen from the Working Class. That money is going to have to come from somewhere and don't think for a second that it'll come from taxes on the Rich or Sequestration cuts to the DoD.

The Plutocracy has been using the DoD and US military to conduct the biggest grift in World History. Trillions have been stolen from the American People

As an example in 2004 the US Army adopted a digital set of Cammies, dubbed the Universal Camoflauge Pattern (UCP). Well now less than 10 years later the Army has revealed that the UCP is totally flawed, completely ineffective and shoddily constructed. The UCP was beset with flimsy materials, ridiculous velcro and a worthless "everywhere" color scheme which blends in nowhere; so they'll need to be replaced. 

Hoo-Ah! Another $5,000,000,000 President Bush and Vice-President Cheney stole from the US taxpayer. And it'll cost another $5 Billion to replace them, most likely with a Go Army version of the MARPAT USMC digital cammies.

But, happy day! Guess what? The Republicans recently "found" $4.1 Billion which they cut from SNAP in their 2013 Farm Bill. The Republicans neatly stole food from the mouths of children, the elderly and disabled veterans and shuttled it to the Military-Inudstrial-Complex.

"The one who is unwilling to work shall not eat," Republican Stephen Fincher of Tennessee.

Recall that George W(orst President Ever) Bush's stated his biggest regret while in office was his failure to Privatize Social Security. If Bush had succeeded in moving Social Security to Wall Street,  circa 2005-2006, it would have forestalled the Republican Grand Recession and allowed the bubble economy expand for another couple of years before exploding. Of course, Social Security would have vanished into so many Plutocrats Cayman Island and Swiss Bank Accounts, and with the Collapse happening after Bush left office, Austerity pushing Republicans would have been able to enforce deeper cuts to the Social Safety net.

When Ron Fournier and other Conservatives bemoan and tsk-tsk President Obama's "failure to yield" E.J. Dionne correctly deduced that what conservatives are pouting about is President Obama's failure to adopt Republican goals of increasing taxes on the Middle Class while cutting them on the Rich, slashing and dismantling Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid and every government program designed to aid the Poor and Working Class.

There is an Ultra-Reactionary assault on America. The Republicans are the Shock Troops of the Plutocracy enforcing all manner of Neoliberal Economic doctrines and leading the Charge for Austerity. What the Republicans and their Moneyed Masters want is a reduction in the standards of living of Americans. They want the Working Class too tired to organize, too timid to speak out and too afraid to fight back.

The New York Times notes the Koch Brothers Americans for Prosperity Non-Think Tank has spent millions “in states around the country, including Arkansas, Florida, Ohio, Louisiana, Michigan and Pennsylvania, to run the kind of aggressive campaign that it is now waging here in Virginia, where much will depend on the governor’s race.” 

Spending millions of dollars to keep 40+ million Americans without healthcare coverage isn't a fight for freedom it's a fight to crush the American Dream and turn the American people into defeated Wage Slaves.

The Right-Wing Neoliberal Government the Plutocracy wants in America will offer no help to the Working Class, it will allow the Plutocrats to pay the Working Class less and less, offer them no benefits and threaten any who dare speak out against them. And most importantly it will allow the Rich to steal more and more of the Wealth of Nations.
