Republicans hate America: Destroying America's forests and wild horses for fun and profit

     Cartoon and comic book villains rarely stooped to these levels of evil.  For instance, chasing down, capturing, and selling wild horses to unknown nations to be slaughtered for dog food, or more than likely to be resold to the United States consumer under the tag "Beef";

Trump announced Friday on Truth Social that the U.S. will allow up to 300,000 metric tons of ground beef to enter tariff-free over the next 90 days.

The move comes as affordability and high grocery prices are top of mind for voters just months away from the midterm general election, when Trump and the GOP will seek to hold their congressional majority. 

Since the pandemic, beef prices have steadily increased, with the average per-pound price of beef last month at $6.89, according to the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis.

"I don't want to say which countries... but there are few countries, but they're going to be sending in the highest quality beef and it's something that we need." - Traitor trump famous for his Grade F steaks.

Make sure your Taco Bell "beef" tacos are actually beef from Argentinian cattle ranchers and not horse meat supplied by Traitor trump's favorite leader Javier Milei.  Of course, you also can't rely on the RFK Jr mismanaged FDA and DOGE obliterated food inspectors to safeguard the food you and your family eats anymore but, that's a small price to pay to revel in your anti-DEI bigotry!

Everything Donnie and his Regime do hurts and fucks over Americans.  Everyday brings some new outrage or new scandal or new policy which destroys the future in order to enrich Traitor trump and his compatriots in the Epstein class of rapist and rapacious billionaire.  And don't imagine Donnie Dumbass is anything other than a "bog-standard" Republican as he announced the end of the "roadless rule", rolling back decades of safeguards for untouched forests and opening them up for clear-cutting.

Across the country, we’ve watched preventable conditions – overgrown stands, insect outbreaks and disease – turn healthy landscapes into tinderboxes,” said Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins. “For too long, outdated restrictions have kept tens of millions of forested acres off-limits to the very treatments that improve forest health and reduce wildfire risk to our communities. Today, we filed a proposal to restore authority to local forest managers who know the land best, removing the barriers that have kept them from doing the work the land demands. It’s time to turn the page on the failed roadless rule and return our forests to health and productivity.”

Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah Brooke "a piece of chicken, a piece of broccoli, a corn tortilla, and one other thing" Rollins you lying asshole...  Republicans are always destroying things in order to save them...  American and Canadian forests are highly flammable tinderboxes theses days because of decades of wrong-headed ideas directly spear-headed by logging interests who thought of nothing more than profit and saw wildfires as something to be stopped immediately.

Fires in the American and Canadian west were necessary throughout history.  Through most of the 20th century people worked to immediately stop fires.  When I was in Yellowstone a Park ranger explained the 1988 fire which burned much of the park has led to the much healthy park we see today.  Lodgepole Pines release their seeds after a fire and quickly replace the burned area with their fast growing trees and then allow other trees to grow and replace them as the forest matures.

But, Republicans give fuck all about the future.  If there is one fact about Republicans I wish people understood it is Republicans exist only in the Eternal Now.  There was no yesterday and there is no tomorrow.  

Republicans have understood this for a long time.  It's why Trump and Republicans before him are always declaring Victory.  Because whatever they said or did days ago doesn't exist in the stunted brain stems of their followers.  It's why Republicans pass all manner of evil and disastrous laws, repeal rights like Roe v. Wade, without a care or fear.  They know voters won't recall nor punish them for it in the future.  As for future problems caused by Traitor tump or his drunk TV sidekicks, well that's for future people to worry about;  Donnie from Queens will be long dead before the bill for his Iran debacle and Caribbean war crimes come due.  And on that day, Republicans will simply blame Democrats for it.
