Pennsylvania Republican Governor Tom Corbett echoed Clayton Williams when asked about a mandatory Bob McDonnell Memorial Rape Wand Law he requested be passed for all Keystone State Sluts, "I don’t know how you make anybody watch. You just have to close your eyes."

Defeating the Roy Blunt Amendment didn't end the issue as multiple Republican controlled states moved to advance bills in their State Legislatures accomplishing the same goal.

Arizona, that seething cauldron of bigotry and evil, rushed forward a bill allowing Business owners to interrogate Women about their Sex lives.

Arizona House Bill 2625, authored by Majority Whip Debbie Lesko, R-Glendale, would permit employers to ask their employees for proof of medical prescription if they seek contraceptives for non-reproductive purposes, such as hormone control or acne treatment.

Lesko had the gall to claim,

“I believe we live in America. We don’t live in the  Soviet Union. So, government should not be telling the organizations or mom and pop employers to do something against their moral beliefs.”

First, Represenative Lesko, go Transvaginal Ultrasound Yourself! Second, anytime a Crypto-Fascist Republican uses a phrase like "I believe we live in America..." they are about to pass an incredibly destructive law designed to aid the 1% in their goal of destroying and oppressing millions of Americans. Lastly, despicable Arizona Republicans just empowered your boss to interrogate you on your off-hours activities to make sure you aren't doing something they find objectionable, like having sexy sex.

Besides Arizona, according to Talking Points Memo, New Hampshire, Idaho and Georgia have taken up bills to expand exemptions for contraception coverage. Ohio, Missouri, New Hampshire, Idaho and Wyoming lawmakers are moving symbolic resolutions condemning the administration’s contraception coverage rule.

In a sonography room smelling faintly of lemongrass, I’d just had gel rubbed on my stomach, just seen blots on the screen become tiny hands. For a brief, exultant moment, we’d seen our son—a brother for our 2-year-old girl.

Instead, before I’d even known I was pregnant, a molecular flaw had determined that our son’s brain, spine and legs wouldn’t develop correctly. If he were to make it to term—something our doctor couldn’t guarantee—he’d need a lifetime of medical care. From the moment he was born, my doctor told us, our son would suffer greatly.

The Emerald Ash Borer & Socialism Strike Suburban Chicago

Of course, I'm talking about the unacceptable plans of Arlington Heights, Illinois and Schaumburg, Illinois to battle the Emerald Ash Borer Beetle.

From the Daily Herald reporting:

Schaumburg is embarking on a 10-year, $9 million program to replace thousands of its ash trees with a variety of species immune to the ravages of the emerald ash borer.

During this first year of the 10-year plan, the village expects to spend $1.5 million, which includes $470,000 to remove 1,863 damaged trees. The village also will begin treating with a powerful insecticide 524 “high value” ash trees that are 20 inches or more in diameter. This needs to be done only every other year, but this year's cost alone is $128,000.

Additionally:

Arlington Heights would need to borrow roughly $11.5 million to combat the emerald ash borer infestation — expected to peak in 2015 killing roughly 5,000 trees, village officials said Monday.

The village board's committee of the whole Monday night gave its blessing to a funding plan that would involve issuing roughly $11.5 million in general obligation bonds in 2013 for the removal and replacement of the village's 13,000 ash trees.

So... It has come to this. I didn't import the Emerald Ash Borer into America! It's not attacking my trees! Why on earth should I pay for the removal and upkeep of my neighbor's infested trees?

We are living in an era when a solid block of conservatives have so deeply conditioned themselves they view any amount of government spending as evil and routinely speak of being "raped" by taxes. But, the Emerald Ash Borer beetle infestation is a prime instance of Government being needed. As in to ensure Domestic Tranquility and Promote the General Welfare.

It would do little good if you treated and protected your Ash trees if your neighbor decided not to and his infestation spread to your trees.

Could you sue him? Sure, but how would you prove the beetles migrated from your neighbors house and not from some other close by infested area? Capture a bunch of bugs and do a DNA mapping trace to prove they came from his strain?

Republicans have been constructing a very odd narrative wherein the Government can do nothing correctly. Now, often when Republicans take office they sabotage and undermine government but, this isn't due to incompetence but to a specific agenda of targeted destruction aimed at dissolving the effectiveness of Government.

Now, really what's going on here is the 1% are setting up Green Zones in America. The 1% who wholly owns and operates the Republican Party on a Federal, State, and Municipal level doesn't have the same worries as hundreds of millions of Americans or those residents of Schaumburg and Arlington Heights.

Well, the Corps is blessedly moving in that direction. The Marines were the first branch of the military to announce they are aiding military members by getting them off the Government tit by reducing "tuition assistance".

The Marine Corps announced Tuesday it has slashed tuition assistance by 75 percent for servicemembers who take classes on their off-duty time.

As every Republican knows public education is rampant with greedy teachers, low standards, and corruption. So, it's high time the Government stop funding these parasites, Marines included.

After serving the Marines just stick their hands out for a pension, which as everyone knows are unfair burdens on society, but unbelievably beyond that they expect free healthcare and dental care. I am against government. The corporate class continues to dominate and control vast wealth and power. It continues to pit poor and middle-class americans against one another and American workers against workers in other Nations both figuratively and literally. I would never fight against police officers or soldiers because they are cogs in the machine and not the problem. The Cubs resoundingly lost both home games to the Dodgers (7-2 and 10-3) and find themselves down 2 games to none in a best of 5 series. Technically, it's not over but...

It's been tough being a Cubs fan for the last 25 years. If prayer were real then, I believe the Cubs should probably have won the World Series in 1969, 1984, and 2003. What is the explanation for those losses and the 100 years of Cubs misery?

And what should believers take from the success of the Yankees in the past 85 years? Are their fans and players more righteous or praying harder? What explains the recent salvation of Red Sox Nation? New found piety? A return to the graces of god? War in Heaven?

Unlike many of the absolutely devastated Cubs fans over the 2 resounding defeats in Wrigley Field at the hands of the LA Dodgers, I will not decry and lambaste the Cubs players personally. With the exception of Aramis Ramierz alleged involvement in cockfighting over the previous winter I can't think of any criminal actions perpetrated by the players. Derek Lee had only an okay baseball season but it is my understanding he is a good and dutiful father who has set up a charity (to which he devotes a large amount of time and money) to curing macular degeneration.

No, sadly the Cubs as a team are not playing winning baseball during the Division Series. And with only 3 games needed to win, the Cubs 2 losses almost certainly doom their fans to lament and declare yet again "Wait till Next Year".

I think the Baseball playoff system is deeply flawed. But because this is tied into millions and millions of dollars it's not going to change except for the possible addition of more games. It makes little sense to play 162 (or 163 if you happen to be White Sox) and then find that 3 losses abrogate the entire last 6 months. It needs to change.

But, even if the playoff system does change, the probability of a Cubs World Series victory is just below that of the Mayan End of the World Prophecy in 2012.

After a discussion of the miserable Cubs with friends last night I offered up my suggestion for a changes to the Playoff System.
Idea 1: Reduce the Regular season to 150 or 154 games (play more double headers) and have a 9 game LDS and 9 game LCS and retain the 7 game WS.
Idea 2: Again reduce the Regular season to 150 or 154 games and have 3 Division winner and 3 Wildcards. Top 2 division winners get the first round 5 game series off, resting up for the winners of the wildcard worst division for Round 2.
Idea 3: The wildcard team and the worst division winner get ZERO or Only ONE home playoff game in the first round.

Expelled has some real trouble now.

Imagine the problems Mark Mathis and Ben stein are going to face when their Cheap Tuxedo of a Movie opens in theaters this Friday April 18th and Yoko Ono brings down the her legal team upon them for using John Lennon's iconic song without permission.

The Legal Team for Yoko Ono led by Jonas Herbsman released a statement, "We are exploring all options." and the filmmakers did not have permission to use the song, for any amount of money.

Remember this is the woman who brought down the Beatles. The Beatles were bigger than Jesus. So by extension she is more powerful than Jesus.

I think all the expelled profits are going to find their way into the coffers of Ms. Ono.

Is this the End Times?

The sharp chill woke me this morning. But the gloomy cold could not dim my perceptions. The Chicago-land area has been hit heavy snows and fierce cold. Chicagoans remarked, "Enough already!" and "It keeps coming, and coming, and coming."

Well too bad Chicagoans because it's not going to stop. Yep, that's right this former atheist has come to the realization this is the End Times as prophezised. I dare you to ignore the unmistakable signs.

I now know this is the beginning of Fimbulvetr, the winter of winters.

This winter will continue we will not see a true spring or summer and lo the next winter shall be worse until we are coated in perpetual snow by the third and most final winter.

Its Ragnarok!
