Republican Acts of Terror: Jacksonville Edition

Look what we made another Republican inspired, rightwing media consuming domestic terrorist do in Jacksonville, Florida.

Aug 26 (Reuters) - A white man armed with a high-powered rifle and a handgun killed three Black people at a Dollar General store in Jacksonville, Florida, on Saturday, before shooting himself, in what local law enforcement described as a racially motivated crime.

"This shooting was racially motivated, and he hated Black people," Jacksonville Sheriff T.K. Waters told a press conference.  The suspect, whom Waters described as a white male wearing a tactical vest, was not identified. Waters said all three victims - two men and a woman - were Black.

This murdering Nazi attempted to gain access to the historic black Edward Waters University before doning his tactical vest, ski mask, a swastika festooned firearms to murder random black people at a random Dollar General.  These Republican Acts of Terror will increase until 1 of 2 responses occurs;  1) Joe Brandon and his Weaponized DOJ sic Federal Jackboots down upon poor innocent conservative organizations like the Proud Boys at which point Marge Greene, Gym Jordan, Vivek Ramaswamy, and Sarah Palin demand the immediate Impeachment and violent overthrow of President Biden by any and all means, or 2) people, especially black people, fight back against Republican Terrorists, at which point Marge Greene, Gym Jordan, Vivek Ramaswamy, and Sarah Palin demand the immediate Impeachment and violent overthrow of President Biden by any and all means.

President Barack Obama's two election victories and Donald Trump's 2020 defeat and subsequent arrests broke these people.  White rightwing men and women are untethered from society, angry, bitter, seething and lashing out violently whenever and wherever possible.  This attack in Jacksonville is merely the most recent direct violent action, indirectly the Moms for Hitler group for instance, consistently stoke the flames of rightwing violence and work to effect violence on certain groups of American society; mainly black, brown, liberal, or the LGBTQ community.

Then, in response as has been predicted and directly observed, a lone wolf conservative stochastic terrorist conducts an attack.  Meanwhile all of this rightwing domestic terrorism is pushed, prodded, aided, and abetted along by rightwing media and The Republican Party.  Who in turn, lash out, lie, and threaten violence, when their direct connection to terrorism is highlighted. 

Don't worry though I'm certain Ron DeathSantis will telegram Thoughts & Prayers while he's on his whirlwind tour of America, on the Florida Taxpayer dime.  Of course, DeSantis might have to remove the Jacksonville Sheriff for invoking CRT as a motive in this crime.

Rightwing domestic terrorism is not the most pressing threat, that's the Climate Change Disaster, but it is the most immediate.  Righting domestic terrorism accounts for 90% of deaths in the United States since 9/11.   Fascism and violence from Republicans is here and it's only going to increase in frequency and activity.  2024 is the watershed year for America, if Trump manages to swindle his way back into the White House he'll never leave and with his criminal co-conspirators ensconced into the every corner of the Executive Branch and pliant criminals riddled throughout other branches of the Federal Government, the pogroms, concentration camps, and extermination of millions of Americans will begin.

It's odd how paying even the slightest attention to the incestuous rightwing internet allows you to finger the evolving conservative narrative.  In this case the Rightwing's obsession with and plans to Kill Trans Persons.

The Upcoming Republican electoral strategy could not be any more obvious.  Trans people are going to be demonized as a scare tactic reminiscent of Karl Rove's No Gay Marriage Constitutional Amendment in 2004.  It's clear Republicans believe attacking Trans people (especially women) is a way to woo white suburban women and keep them in the Republican fold even while Republicans enact laws and policies which specifically harm women and children.

Of course, standard Republican skullduggery and voter suppression tactics will be used as well as the well-worn tactic of inventing scandals in the fever rightwing swamps and expecting the Corporate Media of carrying the message to people who are less invested in monitoring politics.

This is what Republicans and Rightwingers have done with CRT and it's what they are doing with Trans persons.  It's not necessarily that the effort to demonize and ostracize Trans people is coordinated; it's that each conservative propagandist sees and understands that their rightwing drones are primed for anti-Trans messages, that Libs of TikTok stories garner clicks and attention, the Matt Walsh and Tim Poole receive positive feedback from making Trans people the villain, that thousands of rightwingers leave vile messages on their Youtube channels, and that by alleging all Transpeople are sex criminals by their very nature.

Traitor Trump clearly indicated this in his most recent Hitlerian Speech that, Ooooooh, won't someone think of the Children? rhetoric vis-a-vis Trans persons was a Trojan Horse and the goal has always been to use the issue to win elections and gain Power and to then imprison and eliminate Trans people afterwards.

The left wing’s gender insanity being pushed on our children is an act of child abuse. Very simple. Here’s my plan to stop the chemical, physical and emotional mutilation of our youth.

On day one, I will revoke Joe Biden’s cruel policies on so-called gender affirming care. Ridiculous. A preposterous test that includes giving kids puberty blockers, mutating their physical appearance, and ultimately performing surgery on minor children.

Can you believe this? I will sign a new executive order instructing every federal agency to cease all programs that promote the concept of sex and gender transition at any age. I will then ask Congress to permanently stop federal taxpayer dollars from being used to promote or pay for these procedures and pass a law prohibiting child sexual mutilation in all 50 states. 

It will go very quickly. I will declare that any hospital or healthcare provider that participates in the chemical or physical mutilation of minor youth will no longer meet federal health and safety standards for Medicaid and Medicare and will be terminated from the program immediately.

Furthermore, I will support the creation of a private right of action for victims to sue doctors who have unforgivably performed these procedures on minor children. The Department of Justice will investigate Big Pharma and the big hospital network to determine whether they have deliberately covered up horrific long term side effects of sex transitions in order to get rich at the expense of vulnerable patients. In this case, very vulnerable.

We will also investigate whether Big Pharma or others have illegally marketed hormones and puberty blockers which are in no way licensed or approved for this use.

My Department of Education will inform states and school districts that if any teacher or school official suggests to a child that they could be trapped in the wrong body, they will be faced with severe consequences, including potential civil rights violations for sex discrimination and the elimination of federal funding. As part of our new credentialing body for teachers, we will promote positive education about the nuclear family, the roles of mothers and fathers, and celebrating rather than erasing the things that make men and women different and unique.

I will ask Congress to pass a bill establishing the only genders recognized by the United States government are male and female, and they are assigned at birth.

The bill will also make clear that Title IX prohibits men from participating in women’s sports. And we will protect the rights of parents from being forced to allow their minor child to assume a gender which is new and an identity without the parent’s consent.

The identity will not be new, and it will not be without parental consent. No serious country should be telling its children that they were born with the wrong gender, a concept that was never heard of in all of human history. Nobody’s ever heard of this. What’s happening today? It was all when the radical left invented it just a few years ago.

I think it is very important we don't obscure this behind euphemisms like "draconian" and "inhumane" and call this what it is; Murderous.  The Republican Party is adopting a plan which would lead to suicide, targeted killings of Trans persons, and State-Sponsored imprisionment and death for the Trans community and anyone who aids or assists them.  And Remember this isn't some random blogger (like me) but the former Republican President and most likely Republican nominee in 2024.  And remember this is absolutely, a matter of freedom, a matter of self-determination, and Constitutional protections absolutely apply here.  Which along with hollow States Rights' arguments show the utter depravity, and utter farce the rightwing claims about the Constitution, freedom and liberty actually are.

The reason Republicans dislike Trump is because he states clearly (or as clearly as his adderall infused spirochete riddled brain can manage) what the Republicans plan actually is.  And now, Trump is clearly laying out the plan to use the Awesome Power of the US Government to make medical care for Trans or Non-Binary persons prima facie illegal and to make Trans people de facto criminals by the fact of the mere existence.  And we always know what follows from such Republican law making; state-sanctioned extrajudicial killings and targeted incarcerations and harassment.

Trump did this with Abortion in 2016, Trump did this about Social Security in 2022.  He clearly stated Republicans plan to punish women who get abortions and Republicans plan to eliminate Social Security and the rest of the meager Social Safety Net.  And that is exactly what happened and is happening now... 

Trans Rights are Human Rights. Republicans plan to make Trans people into Modern day Witches.  Understand it's not hyperbole, it's happening, Republican State legislators are banning medical care for people and Republican Governors are enacting sweeping orders threatening to punish anyone and everyone who helpsTrans people.  Given control of the Federal Government in 2024 and you'll see Trump appointed Judges, the Attorney General, and other heads of Departments use their power to harass, harm, and eliminate Trans people.  

Always remember whenever a Republican complains of the Weaponization of the Department of Justice they are telling on themselves.  Republicans, absolutely intend to Weaponize as many Departments as possible, as they did during Trump's first Regime and during the W(orst President Ever) Presidency.  Every Accusation is a Confession.

Trump and Conservatives killed a Million Americans

While despicable Republicans are busy being racists*, preening for the cameras, and slandering Supreme Court Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson, the United States just passed The Second Anniversary of Covid-19 reaching mainstream attention.  The United States also reached and surpassed the grim milestone of 1,000,000 official American deaths.  

Sadly, Covid deaths have been vastly undercounted and it's probable we reached a million dead from Covid months ago...  It's also testament to the conservative efforts to present a contrafactual version of history and the rightwing propaganda efforts to undermine mitigation and vaccination efforts.

To this day Trump, powerful rightwing voices, and elected Republicans do all they can to obfuscate and undermine efforts to combat Covid and to convince Americans to do things ineffective and often times harmful instead.  The GOP is unquestionably the Pro-Covid Party.

The odious Rand Paul is beaming about having forced the Senate to vote on a repeal of the travel mask mandate, chortling in his March 15th press release about defeating the "unelected bureaucrats imposing an ineffective mask mandate".  Conservatives social media accounts are festooned with the same collection of Fauci=Jim Jones memes, Candeath Owens quotes, "Communism" fear-mongering, ivermectin/hydroxychloroquine/vitamin C/immune system nonsense, and sadly pitiable pleas for thoughts & prayers when the duped and misled American succumbed to the conservative campaign of misinformation, contracted Covid and ended up dying a terrible death on a ventilator system.

So, at this point most rational people have given up trying to convince the Anti-Vaxx cadre and have become resigned to the conservative efforts to undo all sensible and necessary precautions.  Take care of yourselves and loved ones, because if Republicans are back in charge of the government when the next Pandemic hits you will be on your own.

*- Remember Republicans are all Reactionaries, so in response to the Civil Rights Era and successful anti-Racism campaigns the GOP has decided to be overtly racist and bigoted while accusing black people, white liberals, and Democrats of being the real racists.  Clearly, Cruz, Hawley et al see much more value in appealing to the overt racism conservatives enjoy than making a ham-handed show of diversity in an attempt to peel off some black voters to them.
