President Joe Biden is fixing the DADT discharges, while Republicans plan to execute gay people

I knew one Marine who was discharged in 2002 under the Don't Ask Don't Tell (DADT) provision after "compromising" Polaroid(!) photos of them circulated amongst the unit.

Under President Barack Obama DADT, was repealed.  Now, under President Joe Biden the Secretary of Defense and the Military are undertaking the task of undoing the Bad Conduct and Dishonorable Discharges, foisted upon LGBTQ service members.

Once again, I will point out the 2020 and 2024 vote for President Biden also means voting for the progressive cabinet members and progressive ideas advanced under the Executive branch of Government.  Only bad faith actors will continue to claim there is no difference between the parties and only fascists and bigots will vote for Traitor Trump.

Again as far as I know this has received scan attention from the Corporate Media.  Nor have I heard any terminally on-line lefty types giving credit to President Biden for this.  And again this Biden policy change will have a huge impact for those Veterans kicked out under DADT; including but not limited to access GI Bill benefits, healthcare coverage, job options, not to mention pride in their military service. 

Contrary to some of the vitriol directed at President Bill Clinton, Don't Ask Don't Tell was a radical first step in ending open discrimination against men and women in the military and American people in general in the 1990's.  Too anyone who might ask well why didn't they take it all the way can look at the current reactionary with hunt of Trans persons today for a parallel.  In fact if you ever want to know why some policy or some obvious wrong is codified into law can easily find the answer:  Republicans.

The Republican Party is wholly wedded to the ideology that Government is not supposed to help anyone.  to Republicans Government's power is destructive and Republicans want to use that destructive power to, well, destroy things.  That's all.

Republicans don't even want to help members of the military.  Look at Tommy PotatoBrain's recently ended blanket filibuster of all Officer promotions.  Look at video of Senator Ted Cruz and Steve Daines, and Josh Hawley hooting and hollering and fist-bumping after voting down healthcare coverage for Veterans sickened by toxic burn pits in Afghanistan and Iraq.  Republicans don't give a shit about Veterans, or anyone who doesn't have millions of dollars to give them in campaign contributions. 

There is always some group the Republicans target and vilify.  Currently it is Trans people.  But, homosexuals have always been a target of rightwing vitriol.  If Republicans get back in power in 2025, their bigoted base of domestic terrorists will feel absolutely embolden and will rightly believe they can attack anyone they identify as LGBTQ.  If you think those death camps, Traitor Trump, Steven Miller, and the Project 2025 people have planned for the homeless and "illegal immigrants" won't also be used for Trans people and then outspoken gays, and then anyone else the Right targets you're making a deadly mistake.

Perhaps, you're a white feminist who knows Republican Daddy won't come for you.  But, as the Texas abortion laws demonstrate; make a mistake, or step out of your very tightly defined box, and Republicans will slap you back into your place.

2024 is going to be the year of tightly constrained Rightwing violence.  This election could very well see rightwing domestic terrorist attacks and outright political violence to change the outcome of votes in certain communities.  If Republicans manage to pull off the Coup they tried on January 6th 2021, 2025 is going to see the One Day Dictatorship mimic the 1000 Year Reich.

Vote like your lives depend on it, because they do but, whatever happens be prepared to defend yourself because Republicans are banking on stealing the election and instituting death camps.

Does Florida Man Tommy Tubberbrain believe he is the next Sejanus?

Like, most Gen Xers my first encounter with the historical figure Sejanus came from the I, Claudius BBC series based on the two Graves' novels, and starring Derek Jacobi with Patrick Stewart as Sejanus.

In reality, I've thought Mike Flynn was a more apt comp to Sejanus based on his military history, personal aspirations, and the paramilitary organization Flynn has built in Venice, Florida at "The Hollow".

Tommy Tuberville is more akin to one of the nameless Senators who blithely lived during the early stages of the Roman Empire and the first dynasty, The Julio-Claudian.

Long ago I wrote the Republican slide into anti-democratic intransigence was turning the United States Senate into a simulacrum of the Medieval Polish Sejm, in which one Senator could express his singular Objection (The Golden Freedom) and hold up all the workings of the Congress.  Well, here we are with Tuberville.

Alt Jill Stein, Krysten Sinema, has conceived of an idea that she only can sit the boys down, flash her cleavage and get them to agree to a deal;

“I know that Coach does not want to undermine the readiness of our United States military,” Sinema said, referring to the former college football coach by his preferred title. “And I know that the United States military and the administration does not want to undermine the authority and the right of any United States senator. What we need are for folks to step off a little bit from their positions and find that middle ground to solve the challenge that we’re facing.” 

“I’ve volunteered to help do that,” she added. “We’ll see if they take me up on the offer.”

There's that "Golden Freedom" again...  But, calling Tubberbrain "Coach" is the give away.  Sinema has long admitted she uses her "sex appeal" to get male Republicans to go along but, she's deluding herself or trying to delude us here.  But, she's clearly male-identified and loves being the cool girl amongst the boys.  Also, Tuberville has a preferred mode of address?  Perhaps, weeping Jordan Peterson can tell him true American conservatives don't call people by what they prefer but, what they actually are, and Tuberville is a bigoted asshole or ironically just another "Florida Man", since it turns out he doesn't even live in Alabama...

“Yes, I am not an everyday resident of Alabama.  I’m a carpetbagger of this country,” He acknowledged to a group of voters in a video.

But, Tommy PotatoTown is illustrating his sheer disdain for the Military and professional Officer Corps so necessary to a 21st century military.  I'm certain "Coach" sees his disregard for these men and women's professional lives no differently than he saw the NCAA football players who went through his football program.  Not as people but, cogs to be used in his offensive schemes. 

Nowadays, Republicans continually run into the problem is active duty service members and younger veterans are trending liberal and voting Democratic, especially in 2020.  The Reactionary Reagan-Era military has long since retired and moved to Florida.

So, while Tommy PotatoTown knows he needs to intone Support Out Troops and Thank A Veteran rhetoric, he also seems to be aware the military is not on the side of his Trumpublican Party.  Tuberville isn't holding up military promotions out of some great moral stance but, in an effort to hamstring the US Military for the next Rightwing Insurrection in January 2025.  Because last time the military did not... 

“I stand with our veterans and I’m going to donate every dime I make when I’m in Washington, D.C., to the veterans of the state of Alabama. Folks, they deserve it. They deserve it a lot more than most of us.”

The Fact Checker contacted nine veterans’ organizations represented on the Alabama State Board of Veterans Affairs. Three state affiliates — Vietnam Veterans of America, Disabled American Veterans and Veterans of Foreign Wars — responded and said they have received no donations from either Tuberville or the Tommy Tuberville Foundation.

Republicans piss on active duty service members, spit on Veterans, hate America, and have nothing to offer the American people.  Tuberville's one man filibuster of military promotions reflects the spittle flecked rage which inhabits the spongy brains of every rightwinger in America.

Torture Loving, chubby chickenhawk, soft handed elitist Marc A. Thiessen continues to be a rightwing liar and morally reprehensible person

My gut reaction on reading Marc Thiessen’s new book, Courting Disaster, was: “Why is a speechwriter who’s never served in the military or intelligence community acting as an expert on interrogation and national security?”[I]f you’re not an expert on a subject, shouldn’t you interview experts before expressing an opinion?   

From a 2010 Slate article.  It's quaint to look back upon those times, when people believed rightwingers claims to patriotism and didn't understand the Republican Party is a fully-fascist organization hell bent on destroying the United States and creating a Rightwing Authoritarian Dictatorship.  

Like shit on the bottom of your shoe, rightwing shits never really go away. W(orst POTUS Ever) speechwriter Marc A. Thiessen continues in his role as lying propagandist in the Washington Post Opinion page (Twice weekly!). This week Torture Lover Thiessen wrote a piece proclaiming the Biden Student Loan Forgiveness plan is Stolen Valor.   It should be noted that like most of the Bush War Room, Thiessen is a doughy chickenhawk coward who never served a fucking day in Uniform, let alone in a hostile environment. 

But, imagine that?  A rightwing elitist who never served, never had a real job, never done a day's worth of real work, who's lived on government largesse his entire cushy life, bashing working class Americans for receiving a modest stipend and using "The Troops" to do so.

Thiessen was on par with John Yoo in approving waterboarding and various other forms of torture and much like Sean Hannity, Thiessen agreed to be waterboarded to show how easy it was but, then backed out.  As a couch-borne commando, Thiessen infested multiple media outlets, selling war propaganda and lies to the American public during the Bush Phony War on Terror era.  

After serving as a propaganda mouthpiece for War Crimes, Thiessen moved to the eternally lucrative rightwing grift circle of media appearances, book tours, College speeches, and opinion piece writing.  And the Corporate Media dutifully aided him in the conservative agenda.  The Corporate Media exists to disseminate rightwing propaganda in a semi-sanitized, palatable form for normie America to consume. Even if a specific argument doesn't gain traction, the repetition of lies, conservative bullshit, and light fascism has the desired effect of lodging in the brains of its' readers, where years later a hazy recollection will churn the lies back to the surface.

Like all rightwing American Roman Catholics Marc Thiessen is pro-torture, pro-murder, in favor of reducing women to second class status, against vaccine mandates, and against charity for the poor and downtrodden.  So against everything the Catholic Church was ostensibly founded to mitigate and alleviate.

Thiessen is a shameless liar, a coward, a terrorist, a scumbag. But, far from excising him from the body politic these are positive values conservatives want in their thinkers and leaders and has lead to a 20 year career for a doughy loser who delights in the thought of torturing people and watching Americans suffer.

Conservatives don't give a damn about members of the military

"That's too bad..." - Donald Trump's only thoughts when asked about the latest military disaster under his leadership.

Why is the Media silent about all these Military Deaths under Traitor Trump?  I know why the conservative media world is silent, Thou shalt not say anything bad about Republicans, is their over-riding mantra.

Conservative media exists to complain and complain and complain, until the lamestream media feels obligated or brow-beaten into covering whatever right-wing bugbear the conservative media has concocted.

Additionally, right-wing media serves to "catapult the propaganda" to their drones to keep conservatives in a constant state of agitation and angry arousal, stroking the conservative ego while inflaming the right-wing id.

However, I suppose the media is too busy covering Trump's illegal collaboration with Russia, Trump's dalliance and alliance with Neo-Nazis, and Trump's threats to sitting U.S. Senators, plus documenting Trump's 1000 lies (a rate of 4.6 per day), to offer the proper coverage of Trump and the Republican Party's reckless mismanagement of the military.

I have no desire to use the dead bodies of members of the military to advance my political beliefs.  But, I'm not going to sit and allow conservatives to continue to claim the mantle of patriotism, especially since conservatives allegiance is to the Arch-Traitors of the Confederacy.

Conservatives don't give a shit about the military.  Conservatives don't care about soliders, sailors, airmen and Marines in harm's way.  Conservatives don't support the Troops.  Conservatives use the military to advance their agenda and hold their phony patriotism up as a cudgel to frighten elected officials.

If right-wing radio, Faux News, and the on-line conservative lunatics on blogs, websites, and facebook covered these numerous incidents the way they did Benghazi, then I would rescind my statements.  But, it's been silence.  A disgusting silence as the gross incompetence of Trump and the willful neglect of the Republican Party which controls the entire Federal Government has cost members of the military their lives.  Trump's incompetence has cost Americans their lives and Conservatives. Don't Care.

The Republican bureaucrats ensconced in Washington DC only care about advancing their agenda of crushing the American working class, eliminating all controls and regulations on Corporate malfeasance, swindling Social Security and Medicare, and enacting tax cuts for the 1% to create a permanent stratification of the United States, effectively ending the American Dream.

And Conservatives only care about pissing off liberals.  If that means abandoning all of their so-called values; well conservatives long ago decided to jettison anything resembling morality for the chance to yell, Suck it, Libtard!  So of course, conservatives don't care the sailors, soliders, Marines killed under Trump's reckless negligence, Traitor Trump is President and liberals are angry, that's all they care about.
