A registered Republican, young white male gun nut, wearing clothing from an obscure hard right gun humping Youtube channel tried to shoot Trump and Republicans blamed President Joe Biden.  Including the newly minted Vice President Jefferson Davis (J.D.) Vance.

We are living in a post-Truth world and have been for some time now.  Long before Karl Rove uttered his derisive comment in 2003 about the "reality-based community" and how Republicans simply create their own realities, Republicans realized they could gain political power by simply lying.

They've been doing for 50 years now, since Nixon was forced to reign and Republicans decided they would never let that happen again and would absolutely, at every turn, place their Party and their pursuit of power above Country at each and every turn.  It was a slow process at first, but now Republicans, as a whole, do nothing but Lie.

Since, then we've had absolutely monstrous Republican administrations and Congress.  Ronnie Raygun's criminal Iran-Contra affair, Newt Gingrich's Contract on America, George W(orst Ever) warcrimes in Iraq and Afghanistan and then the utter temerity of Republicans under Obama's Presidency making claims "We had no terrorist attacks under President Bush".

The Corporate Media, for their part has played a disastrous role, as they have taken the position that BothSides are too blame for everything and if a Republican lies and a Democrat tells the truth it's their solemn duty to present both sides of the argument as equally valid.  Worse still, when Republicans engage in a non-stop Gish Gallop of lies, as Traitor Trump did in the debate, the Corporate Media believes it is their somber responsibility to present those lies as factual.  Truth is Irrelevant.

Trump being a master conman recognized the conservative voting base was ripe to be plucked by just the right Grifter.  And so Trump simply walked up to conservatives and told them to be their worst selves, took credit for everything, and declared everything he did was the Greatest.  As a corollary to this he threatened violence and death against anyone who opposed him.  At first some Republicans were against Trump whom they saw as too vulgar but, as Republicans became aware of the spell Trump cast upon rightwingers they embraced him fully and jettisoned all the so-called beliefs, morals, and principles they had paid lip service too for years but, in reality never embodied.

On the Left, everyone knows in response to Ronnie Raygun's criminal Regime Democrats adopted the Clintonian Third Way, which worked to build a conservative Democratic Party but, one that had a definitive shelf-life as conservatives began to realize instead of voting third way they could have raw bloody racism which fulfilled their hatred of the other in a way the broad coalition of minorities who comprise the Democratic Party could not.  Meanwhile, disaffected Progressives and The Left (more broadly) declared if Democrats merely passed legislation that helped people, the people would vote for them.  But, that's not how voting works.  The left also proclaimed that good economic policies from elected Democrats would result in poor and rural white people voting for them instead of against their own economic interests.  And yet again that is not how voting works.

The ACA (Obamacare) wasn't good enough.  Joe Biden capped the price of Insulin, eliminated Student Debt, got us out of Afghanistan, ended the Drone program protected Unions, passed Infrastructure bills and it didn't matter because, again, Truth is Irrelevant. 

What the Left never understood was white people in voting for increasingly fascist Republicans and increasingly racist Republicans and increasingly plutocratic Republicans were voting for what they wanted.  Republican voters want a bigoted, rich, racist asshole who stomps on people.  Trump is exactly that.  For 50 years, they've been taught their enemies were the immigrants, the gays, feminists, the snotty elitist liberals, and that's exactly who they hate and exactly who they want rounded up and executed.

Trump and the Project 2025 promises exactly this.

All that matters is the Narrative.  Trump saw this, which is why he takes credit for everything even while he's done Nothing.  I assume the 2024 RNC will be similar to the 2004 one, in which Republicans stood up and declared anyone opposed to George W. Bush loves Saddam Hussein, Al Qaeda and 9/11 while they shamelessly waved the bloody shirt.  The bloodied Face of Trump will be everywhere and Republicans will declare anyone who doesn't support Trump loves assassinations (oh and Joe Biden was responsible for the white male, registered Republican wearing obscure conservative gun nut apparel), Truth is Irrelevant.

The Corporate Media  is fully invested in making jello-brained Trump President again.  To that end they will do everything in their Power to highlight President Biden's Age.  

They also expect anyone defending him to couch all praise or list of accomplishments with the sad acknowledgement that President Biden is old (but never Traitor Trump).

Listening to NPR yesterday they had a story on Vice President Harris traveling to the Munich Security Conference and how Trump declaration that Russia should attack NATO and Republicans in the Federal Government will sabotage the Nation and alliances in every way and anyway possible is a BIG PROBLEM...

NPR White House correspondent Asma Khalid:  But the reality is, it is going to be difficult for Harris to stand up and say, have faith in the U.S. when even a Democratic president, we are seeing, cannot guarantee additional money for Ukraine because of partisan fights in Congress. The former German ambassador, Ischinger, flatly told me that Europeans are increasingly thinking about a plan B - how to defend themselves if there is indeed a future in which they cannot depend on the U.S. 

And because of the politics at home as we head into an election amidst growing questions about Biden's age, Harris really does have no room for error.

NPR even got a reference to Biden's Age in their story!  Trump's cheap mobster threats are Bad News for Biden and Harris!  Everything must be framed as a problem for President Biden, as the Corporate Media does everything they can to keep Trump as a viable candidate for President even as his brain melts out his asshole of a mouth.

Michael Tomasky in the The New Republic illustrates how the Corporate Media continually covers for Trump's rapid on-set Dementia;

And: What about Donald Trump’s brain? For God’s sakes, he confused E. Jean Carroll with his ex-wife! He makes verbal gaffes all. The. Time. Just last Friday, in a speech before an NRA crowd, he made several. He slurred “subsidies” as “subsies.” He groused that it gets covered if he “said one word a little bit mispronunciation.” He confused Biden with Barack Obama (again). He said the Democrats were going to rename Pennsylvania (?!?). 

He also said: “Nice Saturday afternoon. I could tell you, if I weren’t doing this, where I would have been, I would have been in a very nice location.” 

It was Friday.  

Night. 

Can you imagine if Biden had done that? The Times covered the NRA speech, as did the Post. Neither piece made any mention of these malapropisms.

But, one of the glaring subtexts about the non-stop pundits screeching Joe Biden is Old is the next in line in the Presidential Succession is Kamala Harris.  And conservatives want no part of that...

Harris, of course, invokes funny feelings for Republicans who call her Ho but, are sexually attracted to her in that way all rightwingers view women; as a conquest, arm candy, trophy to display their virility towards other men whose approval and desire they care about much much more.

But, the Corporate Media is led around and follows the narrative set by Rightwing media, again in the The New Republic piece by Michael Tomasky;

So this is where we are. We have one media whose goal is still largely to educate, explore, and explain. And we have another media whose goal is to elect members of a certain political party. The first media will sometimes pursue stories at odds with the priorities of the second media—Donald Trump’s indictments, for example. But it will at other times pursue stories that fit perfectly into the second media’s agenda—Joe Biden’s age.

However, the second media will never, ever, ever pursue stories that might coincide with the first media’s priorities. And this imbalance—the mainstream media will sometimes do the bidding of the right-wing media, but the opposite will never happen—is the precise reason why the right-wing media has become the agenda-setting media in the United States.

Nikki Haley is a disreputable scumbag but, perhaps her most shocking display of perfidy is her willingness to slag Vice President Harris to make all the white bigots, her party is comprised of, happy.  Haley wants all the angry racist white men know that she's a cool girl...  Rightwing Media is still angry President Obama won both his elections and the Racist Whitelash we are still feeling today is being transferred over to Kamala Harris.

Of course, the Corporate Media is more than willing to air Haley's attacks even though she has no chance of winning the Republican nomination because the Media desperately wants a Republican women to be the 1st President.  They yearned for this when Sarah Palin nominated.  So, I expect they are hoping/expecting Trump will nominate a women, even someone as stupid, weird, and vapid as Kristi Noem or as vile and dishonest as Sarah Suckabee Sanders expecting that Trump is going to keel over and one of those little fascist cupcakes will become the 1st Female President.

Republicans hate America 10: Assault on Free Speech and the Nation of Laws

Faced with a never ending parade of news reports on the "legalized" bribery of Republican Supreme Court Justices, the Court has adopted a tepid Code of Ethics.  The most despicable aspect is rightwing Billionaires who seek to destroy the Nation and replace it with a simulacrum of a Democracy modeled on the electors and feudal government of the Holy Roman Empire know they don't need an explicit Quid Pro Quo with their SCOTUS pawns but simply give them gifts, trips, and millions in benefits with the unspoken understanding the Supremacist Court will rule in favor of Plutocracy and NeoFeudalism every time.

We've been dealing with disingenuous Republicans and Corporate Media efforts to rationalize and justify bad faith Republican propaganda for decades, that I don't believe there's any point in complaining about it in an attempt to change "journalists" minds anymore.  Journalism consists of very few prepositions but, amongst them are both sides are the same, both sides want what is best for the Nation writ large, both sides may disagree on policy but, Republican disagreement is from a sincere standpoint.  Any large scale journalists who may disagree with this find themselves in the oft repeated quote from Upton Sinclair, "It is difficult to get a man to understand something when his salary depends upon his not understanding it."

At this point the right has been stewing inside their own agitprop and farting and regurgitating each other's farts for so long that they've succeeded in alerting basic tenets of the American Democratic Republic going all the way back to John Adams dictum we are "a government of laws, and not of men." 

Because we aren't a Nation of Laws anymore, from SCOTUS on down, Republicans have made a mockery of law & order.  The Law is a human endeavor and a social construct, by conservative thinking has always gravitated towards the bullshit philosophical belief of Eternal Truths and immutable laws set down by a higher power (God, the Founding Fathers, biology, etc...) and the liberal ideology of a living constitution or changing times are thus a sacrilegious affront to eternal truth.

When you couple this with the religious fervor which justifies any crime under service to a "Higher power" well under this rubric there can be no violation of the Constitutional protections, legal rights, settled law, norms, principles because the righteous are right in the eyes of the lord.

So, Elon Musk has filed a lawsuit against Media Matters of America, for MediaMatters accurate reporting on his platform "X", former known as Twitter.  I hope everyone realizes Musk uses that X as a thinly-veiled Swastika stand-in.  Musk's lawsuit is of course, without merit but, in Republican America the only merit which matters is if the thing in question helps advance the Rightwing agenda of Oppression, Intolerance, and Adulation of the Rich.  Everything else is superfluous and immaterial.  

Stephen Miller let it be known there are numerous conservative Attorneys' General who would like to criminally prosecute a leftwing media group who commits the unpardonable sin of accurately reporting what Republicans say and do.

Because this is already the year Republicans have their sights set on using the awesome power of Government to stifle speech they don't like.  In Florida, State Senator Jason Broduer proposed a Blogger Registration Law (SB1316) which requiring "bloggers" to register with the state if they wrote about elected officials, failure to register would result in a fine per day per post.

In August, a small Kansas Police department lead by Chief Gideon Cody raided a newspaper.  It seems it was Cody was probably involved in a relationship with the local bar owner who made allegations agains the newspaper owner but, when it comes constitutional protections its' dependent on who you know. 

Certainly, marginalized individuals and groups know what Republicans legislatures, judges, and governors can do to them.  In Murfreesboro, Tennessee an "indecent behavior" ban is a weasel-worded ordinance allowing Police Officers to enforce the State and Local laws outlawing LGBTQ+ persons existence. 

And if you are one of those people clinging to the concept of Law & Order, or the checks and balances will save us, or Trump can't pardon himself, or believe your status as a person not normally targeted by rightwing anger then you are fundamentally misunderstanding the nature of the Modern Republican Party.  It's pure Fascism and therefore the Law is what they say it is and your rights are nothing they need to respect.

We take break from the on-going atrocity in Gaza to bring you the continuing saga of the Republicans can't Govern, mainly because they hate America but, also because Republicans believe Governmental dysfunction, gridlock, and failure serves their overall goal of destroying the United States and turning the country into a NeoConfederate Nation of oppression and inequality.

John Kaisch the Former Republican Governor and Congressman was brought onto the "liberal" MSNBC yesterday to give his views on the 1st vote for Speaker today, in which Gym Jordan received 200 votes. And just like clockwork, Jaisch blamed the Demmycrats!

Since Kaisch was in Congress, it sure would be nice if someone could ask him to name one (ONE!) Republican who voted for Nancy Pelosi for Speaker.  He can't because it has never happened.  And a minority party has never supported fully,  partially, or even singularly for the Speaker of the Party in control of the House.  Ever.  In the history of the United States Congress.

Yet, the savvy take and Corporate Media talking points continues to be blame the House Dysfunction on the Demmycrats!

Bush's Global War on Terror fiascoes and couldn't help but dance and rap with Karl Rove during the height of the Iraq War.  Gregory also asks if the regular folk, the common clay of the west, are "wondering whether Washington has the ability to do their job".  It's always "Washington" writ large when Republicans are miserable failures, it's always Look at those Clowns in Congress!  Those Clowns sure are Clowns!  

The Corporate Media will justify, rationalize, whatbaout, both sides, and do everything in their power to defend and support the Republican Party.  It's their raison d'être  To make the Republican Party perfidy palatable and to obscure the truth of the Republican agenda of oppression, hatred, bigotry, intolerance, and adulation of the rich.

What's absolutely hilarious are the same Republicans who laughed and joked, enjoyed Paul Pelosi injuries and made snide remarks about how GAAAAY Paul Pelosi is and his GAAAAY tryst became violent ha-ha-ha-ha GAAAY!  Are now, facing death threats from conservatives for not supporting Gym Jordan

Rep. Steve Womack of Arkansas said his office has been flooded with calls and there’s been “lots of profanity,” but “no real substantive threats,” while Nebraska Rep. Don Bacon’s wife received menacing text messages.

Ha-ha-ha! Fuck you!  FUCK ALL YOU FUCKING REPUBLICANS!  Right now the twerp Speaker Pro Tempore Pat McWeenie has scheduled a 3rd vote for Jordan but, it seems the Republicans are coalescing around the idea of giving the Speaker Pro Tempore a raft of expanded powers.  This seems to be an extra-constitutional powers because Republicans are at the same time an unserious group whose evil actions have serious consequences for Americans.

The key understanding which can never be uttered is: Republicans hate America.  They have no interest in Government doing anything.  Republicans hold office to engage in lurid shit- flinging and ratfvcking.

 

Meanwhile, Hakeem Jeffries continues to get every vote by the Democratic members of the House.

Republicans hate America 5: Speaker Shutdown Solipsism

As we all know Republicans view Government as a mechanism to harm as many of those people as possible.  Government is not a positive good in their minds but, a powerful tool which must be weaponized by Republicans to immiserate the lives of the downtrodden and afflict the afflicted. 

But, Republicans since Nixon knew the way to do this was The Madman Theory; in which Tricky Dick would try to convince overseas adversaries that Nixon was a volatile pyscho and irrational lunatic so they'd better not provoke him.  Modern Republicans have simply adopted this and applied the lessons learned abroad at home.

Of course, the American conservative movement has been stewing in noxious rightwing agitprop for 50 years so the useful idiot Republican voters are no longer merely the foot soliders of the Reactionary movement to destroy the United States and replace it with a Fascist NeoConfederate simulacrum of America but, are know the leaders both philosophically and politically.

In reality, Republicans are domestic abusers who always, always, always couch their abuse of America in the framing of Look what you made me do.  Thus, it should be of little surprise that Republicans, Rightwing Media, and Squeaker McCarthy himself Blame the Demmycrats!

What a mendacious scumbag.  That Squeaker McCarthy conspired to throw a last-minute CR at the Democratic Party with the intention and expectation they would vote it down so he could Blame the Demmycrats! for the Government Shutdown and then when Hakeem Jeffries got the entire Democratic House to vote yes (save for Illinois Congressman Mike Quigley who just so happens to represent Ukrainian Village in Chicago) and after the Democrats voted in support of the CR, Qevin McCarthy went on the Sunday Talk Shows to Blame the Demmycrats! is stupid and beyond shamless and into the realm of quixotic idiocy.

And even before this McCarthy proved himself an untrustworthy scoundrel having just this year betrayed the debt ceiling limit deal with President Biden.  But, the idea that the Democratic Party owed it to Qevin McCarthy and the Institution to save him from Republican Perfidy after months, if not years of his despicable behavior, including but not limited to the Benghazi bullshit, his last 10 months of inept and villainous Speakership, and his FUCKING WHITE-WASHING of the Jan6th Insurrection is the peak of Both Sides Do It (but, the Democrats are worse) Corporate Media coverage.  

And the Democrats didn't say one word during the Republican Speaker Fight.  They let the American-Hating Republicans make the both sides of the argument for why McCarthy along with every other Republican Representative is terrible.  The Democratic Party is expected to be the adults in the room, even as McCarthy insults and blames them for everything and are thus expected to save him from his own actions and the actions of his Party. 

But, understand this is only going to get worse because the Republican Party doesn't "govern" especially not for the betterment of the American People.  No, the Republican Party is a fascist cabal whose job is too cut taxes and regulation on the Rich and Corporate Power and to inculcate hatred and violence towards minorities, immigrants, the LGBTQ community, liberals, teachers, non-christians and anyone else who stands in the way of the creation of the NeoConfederate Nation held aloft by the 3 legs of White Power, Fundamentalist religion, and Corporate Hegemony.

The narrative was building.  The fever was growing.  The coverage was cresting.  Slimy Republicans war criminals like Ari Fleschier had slithered out from under their rocks to take shots at President Biden.  Maria Bartiromo wanted to know, "Is this Treason?"  And then... and then fucking Mike Pence wrecked everything.  Just like he did on January 6th.

Classified documents were discovered in the Indiana home of former Vice President and current human slime mold Mike Pence.

Now, Mike Pence is no hero.  After losing the 2020 election Pence was asking anyone and everyone for permission to declare the election fraudulent and cause a Constitutional Crisis.  But, nobody was willing to give him the cliched affirmative head nod to Do It.  And the Republican Ron Johnson was stopped at the last minute from handing fake electoral ballots from Wisconsin to Pence so reluctantly Mike Pence didn't overtly aid in the conservative Coup attempt to overthrow the United States Government.

But, even after the murderous mob and conservative kill teams descended upon the Capitol Building calling to "Hang Mike Pence" he has stuck to Trump like the spineless amoeba he is.

But, that was the past.  Now, we had the circling Corporate Media ready to take down a Democratic President.  To prove they're not Liberal!  To prove their BothSides bonafides!  To catapult the Republican propaganda as they always fucking do.  To recreate the But Her Emails coverage with the growing unprecedented Classified Document Scandal! 

But wait, you might say, Trump had hundreds of documents at Merde-A-Lardo.  Trump denied having them.  Trump fought efforts but Government officials to recover them.  Trump concocted a story about declassifying them with his best brain, about the FBI planting them in Melanina's underwear drawer.  These aren't the same thing!  But, I would remind you that the Media doesn't cover Trump or Republican scandals the same way they do for Democratic officials.  The Corporate Media expects Republicans to be despicable.  The Corporate Media knows Republicans are going to commit scandals and are going to go on non-stop scandal sprees one after another.  That's boring.  And that's Old News.

But, Democrats!  Oh ho!  When the Media gets hold of a Democratic scandal.  They gnaw that bone For Years.  And the Corporate Media has been pissed at President Joe Biden ever since he took away their War Boner Coverage.  The Media tried to make the End of the Afghanistan War a giant problem for President Biden.  After not covering it for years.  After not caring about anything in that region of the world for a decade after Osama Bin Laden's death.  The Corporate Media had a chance to emulate Walter Cronkite's Vietnam war coverage or recreate the Wolf Blitzer's famous moments of the 1991 Iraq War.  It was a chance to make their bones.  They were going to dine out on the DC circuit for years on the Blame Joe Biden for the Afghanistan Debacle.  (Incidentally, the Afghanistan "Debacle" is one of the things Major Traitor Greene and the Republican Clown Congress want to "investigate" President Biden).

But, despite some rightwing think tanks gleefully joining in on blaming Joe Biden for Afghanistan, the US people lost interest rather quick.  Because, except for small window at the end of 2001, the US people have never given shit about Afghanistan.  George W. Bush and his cadre of war criminals knew this; that's why they ginned up Iraq.  W(orst President Ever) wasn't going to repeat the mistake of his father by expecting an easily won War to propel him to a second term.  And the leadership of the Republican Party knew then what they know now; they can get away with any Republican lies, crimes, and scandals by ginning up false equivalent scandals in the rightwing media world which they expect the Corporate Media to uncritically adopt.

And man they had it!  The Classified Documents of President Biden was going be the missing 30,000 emails of Hillary Clinton.  But, oops spineless Mike Pence did it again!  Faux News was livid last night!  Rightwingers across Twitter were pissed off;  why didn't Mike Pence just destroy these documents he had?  Why did Mike Pence (or his lawyers) reveal they had them?  Why oh why did Mike Pence destroy their precious Narrative?

Did Donald Trump kill Diamond? Did Traitor Trump's Plandemic and Operation Warp Speed Vaccine kill Millions? Why did the Republican Party attack America with Covid-19?

At this point it must be asked;  How much was Donald Trump paid by the Chinese Communists to help spread Covid-19 (which is simultaneously nothing but a mild cold and a deadly bioweapon engineered by the Chinese) in the United States and then fast track a Deadly Vaccine in order to Destroy America?

The Republican Party needs to answer the question of why they pushed a wild untested experimental Vaccine created solely by Trump via Operation Warp Speed who told his followers to drink bleach and stick light bulbs their asses?

There was some gaudy and shameless "eulogy" to Diamond, of "Diamond and Silk" (TM) in which her death wasn't due to her being unvaccinated against Covid but, because all of the Sheep who took the JAB are sloughing off genetic material called Viral Shedding which Diamond inhaled and died from.

Rightwingers & Republicans demanded an investigation but, I doubt they will investigate the man who has claimed to be solely responsible for developing the Vaccine and continues to take credit for the job he did he using the Vaccine to fight Covid?  Instead, the Republican investigation will conclude that Dr. Fauci, in cahoots with Hunter Biden and the Chinese used Gain-of-Function to craft Covid and then released it in America in a purposeful accidental Plandemic to undermine America's former Greatest President.  Thus, Donald Trump should have won in 2020 even though he actually did win and the loss was because the Chinese sent bamboo infused phony ballots on floating container ships which were off the California coast due to the 2020 Covid Shut Down waiting to be unleashed on the United States.  Therefore, it is hereby Resolved that Donald John Traitor Trump was the Real Winner in 2020.

The Republican House is going to be a shit show of ridiculous resolutions and votes down the Party Line (which is one reason "George Santos" will never be censored and removed by a 2/3rds House Vote no matter what) but, it wll make for fantastic television news coverage for the Corporate Media.

The Corporate Media's job is too make Republicans seem like a viable and rational party (Major Traitor Greene is currently on a media blitz to soften her Fascist image) and too make the rightwing agenda of intolerance, hatred, oppression, and adulation of the rich seem like a reasonable choice for Americans.

Right now we are engaged in a Great BothSides media blitz about classified documents, which covers up the Trump post-Presidency classified document crimes.  And along with the BothSides narrative touches on the second maneuver in the Republicans scandal playbook which so greatly help them get away with their crimes, Non-Stop Criming

Trump showed that they way through any scandal is to just keep committing new scandals.  These revelations got short shrift by the Corporate Media:

• On Truth Social TFG claimed to have sent the FBI and DOJ to Florida in 2018 to rig the election for Governor.  Certainly, this feels like dig at Ron DeathSentence to; keep him in his place or undermine his 2022 election 
• Trump wanted to weaponize the IRS to launch investigations of his political foes.
• Trump and his Department of Justice had a standing orders to field agents that everyone in Portland was an Anarchist Antifa and should be reported as such.

Those are just a one sentence on 3 major scandals...  Instead... what Trump did during his time in Office and since was simply deny his crimes and wait for the newest revelation which he would then deny and move on to continuing to claim to have won the 2020 election because repetition and the mayfly memory of the media work to his supreme advantage.

George Santos will never Resign he's the Perfect Republican and the Epitome of the GOP

Remember how Republicans demanded Katie Hill be removed from Congress?  Remember why?  Her ex-husband sold nude photos to the Daily Mail, a British trash publication.  Hill then sued the Daily Mail for Revenge Porn and was told as a woman she has no rights because her nude body is "a matter of public interest" and then following the revelation she had sexy time with a man (WHO! WAS! NO! HER! HUSBAND!) she resigned from pressure from the Rightwing Corporate Media campaign.

It's a fools game to expect Republicans to act with integrity or morality.  Republicans care about one thing, getting into political office to exert power over the American people.  The Republican Party is a collection of bigots, thieves, and wannabe murderers.

The Republicans have a scandal playbook they always break out that they crafted in the 1990's under President Clinton and honed to perfection in the post George W. Bush Era, against President Obama and the elected Democrats of that Era.  Get the Democrats to resign through whatever means possible and never resign themselves, nor even acknowledge anything, no matter how serious.

First off, Republicans can always count on the Corporate Media beginning any resignation scandal with it's a BothSides issue.  And worse, media types will always frame the issue as Democrats promised to be "transparent" and should be better than Republicans so this breach of decorum and moral failing by this Democrat is worse than any Republican scandal!

Second, conservatives will flood every social media platform with Whataboutisms and demand the Republicans play hardball for once because they are keenly aware of Republicans always cry to the media and the media is always ready to frame "scandals" from a Rightwing narrative.

Third, once the Republican denies everything (even and especially in the face of overwhelming evidence) he just sits tight and waits for the media cycle to move on to the newest thing and if that doesn't materialize then Faux News gins up the latest Rightwing Outrage over Dr. Seuss or Gas Stoves or whatever.

So, 'George Santos' is never going to resign.  Period.  He will serve his entire term.

• Boofer O'Kavanaugh didn't resign despite being a rapist and having his "baseball ticket" debt wiped clean (Mother Jones reporter Stephanie Mencimer says it was Kavanaugh's father).  
• Clarence Thomas didn't resign after his drunken wife Ginni Thomas helped launch a Coup to overthrow the United States Government.
• Roy Moore didn't resign despite being a child molester.
• Dennis Hastert didn't resign as Speaker of the House despite being a child rapist and sexual predator, although Coach Denny did eventually go to jail.
• Mad Nazi Cawthorn didn't resign despite being an FSB agent.
• Matt Gaetz isn't going to resign.
• None of the January 6th co-conspirators will resign as they see a chance to execute their planned Coup using the undemocratic legerdemain of Senate and House to accomplish their long planned overthrow of the United States Government.
• There are dozens more examples at the State and Local level of Republicans being abject criminals and moral monsters and simply shrugging and staying in office.

So, the revelations about 'George Santos' keep getting worse; from stealing from a Veteran's charity for care for a dying cancer dog to lying that his mother died because of 9/11 when she wasn't even in the United States on that day.  I suspect the his Drag Queen past will actually be his undoing because that is so Republican, too be offended by inoffensive gender bending, and ignore his crimes and lies.

But, as Donald Trump proved when he repeated his shameless lies about being at Ground Zero and helping people and first responders on 9/11, lying about that Most Holy of Republican Days illustrated conservatives don't give a shit about what they supposedly believe, everything a conservative claims as a fundamental belief of their ideology is really just a rhetorical cudgel to bash the left and attack Democrats. 

This is on display currently with the Anti-Woke Rhetoric and is the core component of the Republican stance on resignations.  You should resign, they never will. 

Anytime a Republican appeals to jesus, ethics, morality, or law&order you can guarantee that Republican is a immoral, unethical, false christian, criminal.  Republicans are everything they accuse The Left and Democrats of being.  So, get used to seeing 'George Santos' vote Yay on the most Hard-Right, Anti-American Reactionary bills from this Republican House it's just he won't be invited onto rightwing propaganda shows to explain how, as a Jew-ish descendant of the Holocaust, whose parents fled Communism, and he's gay, and a star Volleyball athlete, successful immigrant who never bashed America and followed the rules for immigration, he just hates Gays and Immigrants and Jews and he can say this because; He is the Perfect Republican.

Heucuva Job Brownie! The Eternal Democratic Task of cleaning up Republican Catastrophes and being blamed for Republican Perfidy

After Katrina devastated New Orleans in 2005, George W. Bush ignored it.  Because he didn't care about the people who were suffering from the storm surge and the post-Katrina aftermath.  Bush's fly-over and speaking tour included George W(ar Criminal) Bush infamously uttering the phrase, "Brownie, you're doing a heck of a job."

One of my biggest hopes for President Biden would be a WPA II.  For the last 80 years, the US has been limping along on the bones of the WPA infrastructure.  Fixes have consisted of a piecemeal ramshackle patchwork duck taped and zip-tied scaffolding holding the Nation together.

President Biden with the help of Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi have passed the Infrastructure and Build Back Better bills.  As usual the Republican Party, sought to torpedo anything which helps the American people. 

One of the persistent tenets of Republican governance is to take credit for things they did not do and to pass blame for things they did do.  Unfortunately, in reality Republicans have nothing to offer the American people and never help the American people.  As always the goal of the Republican Party is to destroy the American dream and crush We, the people; Creating a perpetual underclass tied to wage slavery and unending corporate bondage.

Of course, Republicans aren't simply content to destroy the Nation via economic sabotage.  Republicans also believe killing Americans and perpetuating the Covid crisis is a politically savvy maneuver for them. And the GQP is correct.  Republicans are more than willing to kill off some conservatives so they can have the Corporate Media broadcast their petulant one-liners; 

“I took President Biden at his word; I took him at his word when he said he was going to get Covid under control," Dead Soul Kevin McCarthy.  

Now another "Nu"- variant of Covid (Oo) has been located in South Africa and is sufficiently frightening enough for the US and UK to enact immediate travel bans but, expect the Republican Party to coordinate a campaign of undercutting an effective response.  Currently, 90% of Democrats are vaccinated, while only 58% of Republicans are and that 58% is probably not going to increase as 40% of Republicans have no plan to get vaccinated.  

And always remember the Corporate Media will BothSides and uncritically report perfidious Republican talking points.  But... this is not a "doompost", as always I'm trying in a small way to point out what We, the People are up against and implore everyone who would not see the US slide into Fascism to fight as best you can and not give up.  Fascism's ascent always relies on the people giving up and acquiescing to  them.
