The focus and intensity of the Hunter Biden Laptop is indicative of the last 30 years of media coverage; a Democratic Presidency must be ruthlessly attacked by the Corporate Media, who uncritically repeat all rightwing agitprop, to show an air of impartiality, culminating in the Media giving outsized attention to each and every ginned-up (or Ginni Thomas' up-ed) rightwing conspiracy, while studiously ignoring say an actual criminal conspiracy of Ginni Thomas.

Much thought has been directed at why the white working class abandoned the Democratic Party and besides the undeniable racist angle of the backlash to Civil Rights the truth is since the 1970's a significant slice of the American working class has seen a diminishment in their lived experienced and lifestyles.  This is a topic for a far longer post but, in response to this starting with Nixon, the Republican Party began blaming everything on the Democratic Party; from crime to deindustrialization. 

Thus, Enter Hunter Biden's laptop...  Not Duncan Hunter* because being a convicted Republican criminal doesn't make Duncan, the Hunter Republicans and the media are looking for...  Hunter Biden's Laptop represents the Holy Grail or True Cross for the rightwing media to quest after.  It is a holy relic and a repository of Absolute Truth.  Don't worry about Chain of Custody because if you don't believe this current Laptop contains all the evidence needed to prove every whack-a-doodle rightwing conspiracy true, up to and including the January 6th Riot and the 2020 Elections, why they've got at least two more to sell!

Which leads us to actual criminals who actually committed actual crimes, we have Let's Go Brandon Straka, who's fame comes from starting a social media movement call Walk Away from the Democratic Party, which was right-wingers and lifelong Republicans claiming on Facebook and Twitter they were Democrats who were upset by something or other and now were ardent Republicans. (Here's a typical . His infamy comes from being one of the criminal conservative terrorists to storm the Capitol on January 6th.

But, he wasn't just some low-level caught-up-in-the-moment drone instead Straka was live tweeting the Insurrection and urging conservatives on.  It is without doubt that had the Insurrectionists held the Capitol all throughout the night Straka and others would have succeeded in destroying the electoral process and probably in murdering Democratic Representatives.

But, Straka like all right-wingers has lived so long with the unequal enforcement of laws, the not see style of policing of conservatives, and the lax judgments brought against those charged with crimes that he never thought he would be in trouble for those crimes he committed. Straka was arrested, held in custody, tried and accepted a guilty plea. Straka, most likely informed on other defendants in order to receive a lighter sentence. To prove he didn't Straka has taken to the rightwing media to prove his unwavering commitment to the cause of Overthrowing the US Government and installing an Authoritarian Trumpist Dictatorship.

But, Straka has also taken time to bemoan and wail at the inhumanity of prison,

“During those two days, I sat in that cell literally just breaking down emotionally because I thought myself, this is now Jan. 25, 2021, so Joe Biden became president five days before I got arrested, the Democrats have now taken full control of the federal government, I’m Brandon Straka the Walk Away from the Democrats founder, and now I’m sitting in a concrete cell,” he continued, becoming increasingly emotional. “There are hundreds of people who are facing nonviolent low-level misdemeanor charges who are being treated like terrorists, like insurrectionists in this country. I actually fall into this category—the government has actually put me on a terrorism watch list.” 

Boo-hoo-hoo! All Let's Go Brandon Straka did was commit multiple crimes whilst in the middle of successfully stopping the certification of Joe Biden's crushing 2020 election victory. Because let's get this straight; the conservatives who invaded the Capitol, sought out Democratic Representatives and Mike Pence to murder, and literally shit on the floors and walls did stop the Government from certifying the Election results for several hours.  During that time Donald Traitor Trump aided by Ginni Thomas, Mark Meadows and numerous other Republicans spent 7 hours and 37 minutes stopping National Guard and other Law Enforcement units from responding to the Capitol as they attempted to coordinate further disruption and attempted to get the Trumputsch (the Coup d'Etat) back on track.  

*- Despicable Traitor Trump pardoned Ex-Marine and convicted criminal Duncan Hunter. I dgaf about this bullshit pardon Duncan Hunter is an Ex-Marine forever. He needs to surrender his Quatrefoil and EGA. As way of comparison Hunter was convicted of the exact same offense as Jesse Jackson Jr. Jackson received a 30 month sentence, prosecutors asked for 48 months. Duncan Hunter received an 11 month sentence and served 2 fucking days.

After an initial push of why should we care about Russia/Ukraine by J. D. Vance and Tucker Kremlinson, the Republicans pivoted to Joe Biden's weakness invited Russia to attack, back to Vlad Putin was 100% right to attack because of WMDs.  Traitor Trump has been predictably insane and all over the map with his declaration of how savvy Putin was in attacking to false claims Trump and his Organization of Criminals *ackshullay* armed the Ukrainian people with Javelin missiles.

All of this is a goldmine for MAGA which is now able to tie Ukraine into the Wuhan Labs, Dr. Anthony Fauci Gain-of-Function, the US Special Forces raid on CIA computer server facility in Germany, and Hunter Biden and the Worldwide Rigged Election of 2020.

But, more importantly it's been clear for a long, long time when the next disaster struck, the American people would not be able to count on Republicans and MAGA to stand with the Nation and help.  This achieved deadly clarity during the past 2 years of Covid as conservatives not only didn't help but, sought to harm and did everything they could to undermine mitigation.  Now in Ukraine as Russia commits war crimes and atrocities, conservatives are clearly indicating they are on the side of Putin and Russian Fascism (and have been for a while) and against Democracy and The American People.

Every topic of American life is subject to these up-is-down, black-is-white bad faith Republican arguments; from healthcare, to the environment, the 2nd Amendment to Education. If Murdoch doesn't make all this data available then I and the FBI can correctly conclude that Rupert Murdoch and members of Fox News are involved in a massive criminal conspiracy which needs to result in them being stripped of all assets prison sentences and a utter revocation of all broadcasting licenses. But after those crushing electoral defeats in 2006 and 2008 the Republican Party and their Plutocratic Controllers decided Terrorism was the way back to power and embarked on a campaign of deception and intimidation, threats of revolution, wholesale fear mongering and acts of violence in their quest to regain control of government to thereby continue their plan of reducing the American People to the status of Wage Slaves and Cogs in the machines of Industry and War.

The Republicans created demagogues, the wholly unattractive Sarah Palin and Michele Bachmann, an enforcement terrorist arm, the Teabaggers, and unleashed the most vicious propaganda war via Fox News and the Toxic Commentators onto the American Populace.

And for what ultimate purpose? To ensure the richest American Plutocrats can continue to enjoy the wealth of this nation and the spoils of conquest bought with the blood of dead Americans, be they coal miners or soldiers. Or by the toll extracted everyday from working Americans who will make less money in their entire lives then the pampered Plutocrats make daily by exploiting their control of Government.

According to the AP the stolen University of East Anglia emails do not purport to show Wild-eyed Lying Scientists concocting a Great Big Conspiracy to create Climate change.

The 1,073 e-mails examined by the AP show that scientists harbored private doubts, however slight and fleeting, even as they told the world they were certain about climate change. However, the exchanges don't undercut the vast body of evidence showing the world is warming because of man-made greenhouse gas emissions.

But, the Fox News led Terrorists on the Right and the Anti-Human, Anti-Science, Anti-Education Republicans don't care they have a staggering supposed controversy (their Yuri...) which even when debunked and repeatedly shown to be a lie will only serve to strengthen the resolve of the nose-breathing teabaggers who hate humanity and have been conditioned by the Republican Party to hate science and learning...

And yes I am aware that in the film No Way Out, Costner is, in fact, a Soviet Agent (just like Orly Taitz) thus leading to the possible conclusion that Global Warming is not true. Which is a possibility, I am not 100% certain that Man-made Climate Change is occurring, and am willing to look at evidence to the contrary, unlike the conservatives, their Republican fondlers and the Right Wing Terrorists. They have absolute certainty their positions concerning every issue are infallible. And because they start out with their conclusions they engage in thievery, deception and blatant intellectual dishonesty in order to ensure the "evidence" they acquire conforms to their preconceived ignorance.

And what I do know is that the Bush/Cheney Regime allowed companies to flout pollution laws because violently stupid Republicans like Michele Bachmann believe the planet to have been saved already and that the earth and it's inhabitants exist for the sole purpose of providing the Republican Party with money and luxury...

But, it's not merely man-made climate change, Sean Insannity is questioning. He like most Punk Ass Bitch Right Wing Conservative Terrorists hate science in general and while I think climate change is not a settled issue, I'm cognizant the same group of lying Teabaggers claim Evolution is a Giant Hoax and various other Scientists and Educators are engaged in a cross scientific discipline World-Wide Multi-Generational Conspiracy.

Republicans have for years been cultivating proudly ignorant members; Championed by Queen Semi-Mayor Sarah Hot and Palin who has turned Active Ignorance into her Crown and Scepter. And funded by Billionaires (Charles Koch and David Koch for instance) they spend millions to undercut education and ensure Americans reach adulthood ignorant and violently stupid.

The Right wants to divorce Americans from learning and understanding and make them dependent and pliable to the Control of the Anti-Human Anti-Science Right, which views the American people and the Planet as a giant reservoir of money for the Republican Elite to tap into and drain at their leisure.

Of course, some of those people call themselves Conservatives or Anarcho-Libertarian Free Staters but if you voted for Bush and Cheney and consistently tell yourself 'I have to vote for the Republican to cancel out that Loony Left Coast Liberals America Hating Vote' then you are a Republican.

The Republican Party doesn't care why you vote for them just as long as you do. In order to win your vote, they will lie about any and everything. They will claim superior morality, fervent religiosity, hyper patriotism, and Big Brass War Gonads. They claim to have all those attributes even when it's been shown they lack them.

The Republicans claimed to be the Super-Patriots who won World War III over the Soviet Union under President Reagan. So, let us suppose a person born in the Soviet Union denounced Ronald Reagan as a "massive fraud" unfit for command and then declared any who disagreed with that assessment to be Traitors. A Soviet! A Commie, A foot soldier of Nikita Kruschev denouncing the President and what does the Republican Party do? It's as if Republican Jean Schmidt is in bed with Soviet Leader Leonid Brezhnev in their criticism of an American President as Schmidt secretly whispers in the ears of her rabid supporters she agrees with Commies and is against the President of the United States. Jean Schmidt and the Republican Party are Commie Lovers!

Republican criminal Tom DeLay complained 'ethnic minorities had already filled all the slots' when he tried to enlist for Vietnam. Dick Cheney received 6 deferments from service during Vietnam, he had other priorities. Dick Cheney who gave interviews in 1994, when Bill Clinton was President, saying a long occupation of Baghdad and Iraq was a bad idea and not worth the casualties then belittled the Democrats for not defending America from Iraq during the 1990's. Now this is a tricky one for me because I am for protecting American Companies from overseas ones but what the Republican Party is fighting to do, using the power of Government, is to protect the profits of those companies. The Republican Party fights against the individuals who actually work for these companies. This is why the Republicans will fight to keep drugs from American Companies the only legal ones, they charge higher prices than in Canada for the chemically same drug. This is why the Republican Party fought against the American Auto Workers and for the Foreign owned Auto Companies in Alabama, the workers are not allowed to unionize. The Republicans even support Foreign Companies over American workers.

Keeping Americans wages down is a by product of the number overarching one goal of the Republican Party supporting Corporate profits over people. This is why the Republican Party supports companies like Wal*Mart in shipping manufacturing jobs overseas where labor prices and practices are still inhumane. Republicans love it when people are worked to death for Corporate Profits.

This is why they ignored the southern border and allowed millions of illegal immigrants to stream into the US from Mexico and Central America. Those illegal immigrants can't vote against the Republicans but they sure can undercut wages for American workers and steal American jobs. When was the last time you saw a non-Hispanic working for a Lawn Maintenance Company?

So, the Republicans know all they have to do is tell you they hate Socialism, love morality and will protect America and you'll vote for them, even when they openly work against everything they claim the support...

Richard Shelby channels Alan Keyes

I did not plan on writing anything about Alan Keyes. Keyes is, after all, mentally unbalanced and debating or refuting someone who does not possess his facilities is not a good use of time.

Until... Republican Senator Richard Shelby, who used tax dollars to finance the undercutting of American Auto Companies by foreign ones, echoed Keyes by stating, "I haven’t seen any birth certificate. You have to be born in America to be president.”

I'll not waste time posting more of the Keyesian elocution (watch the video here if you wish), I'm certain most people interested have, at least, a passing understanding. What's important to take away is Shelby an elected Republican would undercut the President in a time of War, surely earning him a firing squad. Wait, what's that? That only works against Democrats? Oh...

Andrew Sullivan calls for leaders of the Republican party to disown the remarks but instead Shelby claps them to his chest.

And blah blah blah Shelby is a disgrace blah blah blah. I mean I haven't seen documentation that Richard Shelby is not insane. Therefore, Richard Shelby is insane, right? Isn't that how syllogistic logic works?

The necessity for the criminalization of cannabis is predicated on: the current state of scientific and medical knowledge concerning the effects of cannabis makes it necessary to acknowledge the physical, psychological and sociological damage which is incumbent upon its use.

It's likely Phelps has smoked pot prior to the photographic evidence. So, it leaves one to wonder how much of a negative impact it can have on the physical health of the user since Phelps went on to win A Million And One gold medals in the 2008 Beijing Olympics.

Historically, cannabis has also been classified as a "gateway drug" once a person starts eatin' them hashish brownies it's only a matter of time before they're mainlining heroin. I believe this is faulty reasoning akin to believing the person who has an occasional beer is going to eventually drink a gallon of Canned Heat a night.

And this brings us back to the 1937 Marijuana Tax Act. A key proponent of criminalization was the DuPont Chemical Company which invented Nylon in the 1935. Nylon was created to be used for the vast array of products which had been made from Silk and Hemp. Silk, of course, was and still is expensive as well as difficult to cultivate. But, Hemp, ah now that is a problem.

Hemp grows everywhere and had been grown in US since before the Revolution. And this is were the ubiquitous and nefarious William Randolph Hearst enters into the picture or more accurately the newspaper. Hearst used his influence and papers to print any number of racist and sensational stories about what the use of the devil weed did to people.

The Director of the newly created Bureau of Narcotics Harry J. Anslinger used many of the anecdotal and completely fabricated Hearst stories in his "Gore Files" to highlight all sorts of terrible things done while under the power of Reefer Madness. Sadly, it seems, Anslinger was just another power mad racist who worked for years deluding himself that his goals were noble and it was his duty to protect certain segments of society form other less desirable segments.

So, as often is the case throughout history, a select few of the powerful create a situation in which the lesser classes are divided and their actions criminalized. And the Hounds whom they Keep are tasked with lying to, shaming, cajoling or forcing the lower peoples of this nation in line.

With the recent Cult followings which have arisen around Barack Obama and Sarah Palin, neurologist Robert Burton recently reiterated the well established findings published in his book "On Being Certain" which show once people have made up their minds they do not change them. Obama and Palin have invoked a visceral emotional stirring in their followers which has metastasized into full blown fanatical devotion demanding unrestrained political warfare to destroy the enemy.

No Quarter is to be given. Obama and Palin and their campaigns do nothing to stop this and actively encourage it. This is why elaborate, detailed speeches on their stances aren't given. That would nail them down and limit their appeal. By not telling the people what they believe or what their positions actually are, they allow the deluded people to graft upon them their hopes and dreams. And people convince themselves often times despite the spoken facts that their beloved savior holds those same beliefs themselves.

The certainty and unwillingness to change one's positions is not a new phenomenon and has been mentioned by Carl Sagan, Isaac Asimov, Betrand Russell and an apocryphal Zen Story.

The trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt.

Despite all the rhetoric of Change We Need and Maverick Reformers, whichever ticket of the Two parties wins they are going to be beholden to certain powerful groups which do not represent 99% of the People in this nation. And the new President and Vice President will use their position to further entrench the power in the hands of the Few. The question remains which deluded group do you belong to which thinks they are going to help you?

There is Nothing Wrong with the Economy

Because the people who rig the system, control the sources of revenue and the creation of false paper money will never suffer, but those lesser Americans who can’t afford multiple multi-million dollar homes can rest assured they will receive no assistance, no bailouts. The can sleep in their heavily leveraged soon to be foreclosed home, worrying about the security of their job while paying higher and higher record amounts for gasoline and heating oil, higher prices for lesser medical coverage, rising food costs and listening to the more equal Americans tell them they are “whiners”.

Sean Hannity was pout-raged when Robert Kuttner talked about the shambles that is US Economy. The Hannity diatribe against Kuttner included "This is garbage you're spewing" and "This is a Pro-Obama Book!" and "You gotta convince the American people the economy is in bad shape and it's all based on a lie, it's not true."



Hannity is a repugnant person. For him and the fellow fox minions of Rupert Murdoch, the economy is strong. Well, Maybe... Because just four days after Hannity’s sermon, even the Stock Market took the lambasting of Black Monday 3, as Lehman Brothers filled the biggest bankruptcy in history and Merrill Lynch was hastiy sold to Bank of America, however, American International Group Inc. is going to be bailed out.

But this is a continuation of the US Government’s policy of Privatizing Profits and Socializing Losses. The US system is the most evolved system of control ever developed.

The Handlers of the economy finally thrust Bush out to talk about the collapsing system. They'd have been happier to let him sit unobtrusively for the remainder of his Ceremonial control of the Nation until their next two pawns were ensconced safely into office. In response to the Socialism for the Rampant Speculators and the cut-throat "Free Market" for the drowning individuals Bush said, "These actions are necessary and important, and the markets are adjusting to them."

A sad chapter in those terrorist attacks just ended with the US Justice Department announcing a payout to the FBIs official scapegoat for the Amerithrax Attacks, Dr. Steven Hatfill. Perhaps ending the hope of ever finding the real perpetrators. The news release "just happened" to occur on Friday June 27th with no plan to have the news fall down The Memory Hole. From the New York Times Article:

The U.S. Government (that means you) will pay $4.6 million to settle a lawsuit brought by Steven Hatfill, a former U.S. Army biodefense researcher who was intensively investigated as a "person of interest" in the deadly anthrax letters of 2001, the Justice Department announced Friday.

A Justice Department spokesman, Brian Roehrkasse, said in a statement that the government admitted no liability but decided settlement was "in the best interest of the United States."

Now, the interesting thing is the two Senators Daschle and Leahy who were directly targeted by anthrax-laden letters were both Democrats opposed to the Patriot Act.

I don't put much stock in conspiracy theories. They tend to break down when explored to determine goals and control. For instance, if the Anthrax attacks were a conspiracy; Who ordered them? Who crafted the letters? Who is privy to the conspiracy? Because I do believe the FBI is working on solving the attacks and unless you think those directing the investigative effort are involved or are supressing information or hampering the effort, it's possible the investigation could succeed.

However, if this were a conspiracy the targeting of Daschle and Leahy would rank among the least subtle or the most sublime efforts every undertaken to dupe and induce fear in a populace. I do know one positive outcome of the Anthrax Attacks it ensured every Marine serving in 2001-2002 was forced to receive Anthrax "vaccinations" on threat of imprisionment and explusion under dishonorable conditions.
