Contraception is about Control and Punishment

For Conservatives everything boils down to Control; controlling women, controlling who votes, controlling workers, controlling sex, controlling the media, controlling government. Control is so important to Conservatives because Right-Wingers are Authoritarians who can not handle freedom and hate individualism.

Once Right-Wingers have control they turn to punishment. The Conservative elections in 2010 showed Right-Wingers don't actually want to help America they want to harm people whom the hate and distrust. Matthew Vadum at The American Thinker clearly enunciated the conservative view of Control and Punishment in his article, Registering the Poor to Vote is Un-American.

Every policy decision and proposed law or amendment was designed to subjugate women, eliminate rights, punish the poor, destroy Unions, harm Americans.

The "debate" over contraception and birth control is nothing less than wanting to control women and punish those who somehow elude Right-Wing Control.

Now, Republicans while being abject evil and irredeemable slime are still crafty and shrewd so they will not acknowledge their fight is for totalitarian control but, instead will engage in a propaganda war. Thus we have Right-Wing Wailing Campaign, wherein they pound their breasts, pull their hair and are reduced to blubbering, about President Obama's War on Religion.

This could be an argument about Positive Liberty and Negative Liberty but, that would require an honest debate partner and Regressive Republicans are never, ever honest. Regressives aren't actually worried about the moral implications since all Americans engage in birth control techniques and use contraceptives. Nor are they worried about Government mandating to religious affiliated institutions healthcare coverage since 28 States currently have provisions mandating religious affliated healthcare insurance providers cover contraception.

What this is about is controlling sex. Pre-occupation with sex, (i.e. the easier access for woman and the acceptance of homosexuality) has always been a prime occupation of Authoritarians. All Republicans are Authoritarians and once a society embraces human rights, Authoritarians lose power.

Once women are no longer tied to the pregnancy/birth cycle they can exercise power in society and that is something the Catholic Church and Conservative Authoritarians have always loathed/feared. Because more people involved lessens their control. More voters lessens their chances of controlling government.

So, the Archdiocese of Chicago and the Catholic Church has declared War on President Obama. Catholic ass Cardinal Francis George weighed in using his religious authority,

“We cannot — and will not — comply with this unjust law,” states the cardinal, who is vehemently opposed to the new Obama administration rule requiring religious organizations to include contraceptive health insurance coverage.

This is the same man who declared, "You don’t want the gay liberation movement to morph into something like the Ku Klux Klan, demonstrating in the streets against Catholicism."

It's well past the time when religious figures should be openly mocked for their false authority and the millions of wasted hours ruminating about a how many angels can dance on the head of a molested child. An individual working for a Jewish-affiliated Hospital can't be docked pay because he eats pork outside work, and a Catholic affiliated Hospital can't give less healthcare benefits to an individual who breaks one of their silly precepts.

The easiest answer is if you don't like rubbers and birth control pills then don't buy them, but that's not good enough for the Regressive Conservative Authoritarians. They don't want anyone to have access. Because, women's access to contraception is a threat.

What would solve this is a Single-Payer Plan and Medicare for all, and President Obama is shrewd enough to be setting up the battle of his second term to implement them.

This is the right thing to do but, I always wish the White House would be ahead of the message instead of letting evil Republican scum and wacky religious weirdos control the message. But, if Liberals can not get behind the President on this issue, then I'm not sure why they call themselves Liberals? Because, why call yourself Liberal if you are siding with the Regressive, the Authoritarian, the Conservative, with those who have consistently sided with rolling back hard fought rights won over the last century.

Winter and the Climate

Well, Winter has officially arrived in the Chicago-land area with the heavy wet snow dumped on us. That Earth's Climate changes with time is an incontestable fact, the point at issue is; Can man-made causes affect the Climate?

The Republicans led by Fox News and their Punk Ass Bitch Conservative base have finally played their trump card when it comes to the issue: Scientists are engaged in a massive conspiracy to foist the Hoax of Global Warming onto the world.

That is exactly what is being set forward with the stolen emails and the Sean Hannity led Fox News push to convince their followers that Scientists are engaged in the, "Biggest scientific fraud, I think, in our lifetime."

But, it's not merely man-made climate change, Sean Insannity is questioning. He like most Punk Ass Bitch Right Wing Conservative Terrorists hate science in general and while I think climate change is not a settled issue, I'm cognizant the same group of lying Teabaggers claim Evolution is a Giant Hoax and various other Scientists and Educators are engaged in a cross scientific discipline World-Wide Multi-Generational Conspiracy.

Republicans have for years been cultivating proudly ignorant members; Championed by Queen Semi-Mayor Sarah Hot and Palin who has turned Active Ignorance into her Crown and Scepter. And funded by Billionaires (Charles Koch and David Koch for instance) they spend millions to undercut education and ensure Americans reach adulthood ignorant and violently stupid.

The CIA was granted the authority to keep captured enemies shackled and awake for days. Detainees were clad only in diapers and not allowed to feed themselves. A prisoner who started to drift off to sleep would tilt over and be caught by his chains, according to the report.

Torture

Torture. George Bush oversaw the implementation of Torture in the name of the American people. The years of Bush the Liar claiming "We do not Torture" and any instances were the actions of a few rogue soldiers sit like a cold shit sandwich shoved down the collective throats of the American people.

Here is the strangest dissonance from the Pro-Human Pain and Suffering Right Wing Extremists: The harsh interrogation methods we used are so wimpy that slapping oneself on air is the equivalent. However, they are so awesome and useful that if need be we can use them and break someone in 35 seconds to save us from the Right Wing Extremist Bogus Ticking Time Bomb Scenario.

So it's both Torture and Not Torture. Or the AQ guys we capture aren't tough enough to have their nuts cut off like Karl Rove & Dick Armey and other Pro-Human Pain and Suffering Right Wingers.

Torture does not work. You will not get accurate information. This has famously been demonstrated by John McCain admitting to being broken by torture and providing false information to his tormentors. Go to Crooks and Liars for video of Mr. Anathema loving him some torture.

Of course, I could be wrong and all those people tortured by the Inquisition actually were Witches and in League with Lucifer! And the Torture kept christendom safe just the way Fox News proclaimed Torture Kept US Safe!

Pamela Geller over at Atlas Shrugged has posted a letter she received from a "Marine". It is absolutely evil and ridiculous. The conclusions reached in the letter is that Torture of captured enemies is necessary to make Soldiers and, of course, President B. Hussein releasing the memos has weakened America.

One of the ideas posited is Drill Instructors' conduct in boot camp is the equivalent of what the torturers did. Well, I was not waterboarded in boot. And I'm not sure why SERE school ever exposed servicemen to waterboarding if it's not torture. Of course, this is when the letter sets up an excluded middle and jumps to to the claim if the US can't torture captured enemies, we can not have boot camp.

Drill Instructors stress recruits, but always in the back of the recruits' mind is the knowledge he won't be killed. Why were homicide charges brought against the DI (who was acquitted) when a recruit was allowed to drown in 2005? Was it because the actions of the DI in causing the young man Jason Tharp to drown were viewed as criminal and not merely as really tough training?

Combat and Torture are not the same. Training for combat and torturing people are not equivalent. Trying to tie them together shows a disturbing lack of moral courage. And this line (bold in the original):

indicates the presence of a malevolent soul.

But were the 2008 American elections (in which the Republicans lost much federal power) the cause of the rhetoric of Senator Jim DeMint of South Carolina who said at CPAC conservatives might have to “take to the streets to stop America’s slide into socialism" and Paul Broun of Georgia who warned Obama's actions are "exactly what Hitler did in Nazi Germany and it’s exactly what the Soviet Union did,” and the constant references to Revolution?

Led by the Toxic Mouths, Ari Fleschier, Glenn Reynolds, Mark Steyn, She Who Will Not Be Named 2, Not Joe the Not Plumber, and others and given voice by Bachmann, Paul Broun, David Vitter and DeMint it appears the stage is set.

And what happens when it explodes? I'm sure the groundwork laid about ACORN could be used to show Obama was not fairly elected and justify the Coup...

From whence comes this Economic Meltdown?

Now, since 01/20/09, things have gotten so bad, the Republicans are sponsoring Tea Parties (LT Nixon and Wonkette call it Tea Bagging Parties) in which the idea of overthrowing the government is being seriously considered.

After years of Piss Down Your Back Reaganomics, after the wars of Imperial Conquest of Tipsy Canoe, and 1 month into the Obama administration the situation is so dire a Revolution is required. In discussions with friends I've always told them the reason I could never accept "more active" resistance to the government and a removal of the current system would be the danger for their children. I am unwilling to take lives to actually change political realities. I am especially unwilling to fight those I would be arrayed against. In trying to live one day as a lion, I, a pawn would not be sent up against the object of my derision. No my fury would be spent fighting against other pawns, under control and being used by the same puppet masters to whom I myself belong.

When something like a a violent revolt gets started no one, no one can control it's course, there are too many variables which come into being and conspire to spiral events out of control. And yet, we have Senator Jim DeMint, an elected official, urging conservatives to "take to the streets to stop America's slide into socialism".

And this is the prime question which should be put to the Michelle Malkin's (aaaagh! I mean She Who Shall Not Be Named 2) and all the other Armies of Activists who are referencing John Galt, quoting the Second Amendment and polishing their walnut stocks; Are you willing to kill the young men in the police and national guard who would be the first ones sent in to stop a revolt?

Historically, cannabis has also been classified as a "gateway drug" once a person starts eatin' them hashish brownies it's only a matter of time before they're mainlining heroin. I believe this is faulty reasoning akin to believing the person who has an occasional beer is going to eventually drink a gallon of Canned Heat a night.

And this brings us back to the 1937 Marijuana Tax Act. A key proponent of criminalization was the DuPont Chemical Company which invented Nylon in the 1935. Nylon was created to be used for the vast array of products which had been made from Silk and Hemp. Silk, of course, was and still is expensive as well as difficult to cultivate. But, Hemp, ah now that is a problem.

Hemp grows everywhere and had been grown in US since before the Revolution. And this is were the ubiquitous and nefarious William Randolph Hearst enters into the picture or more accurately the newspaper. Hearst used his influence and papers to print any number of racist and sensational stories about what the use of the devil weed did to people.

The Director of the newly created Bureau of Narcotics Harry J. Anslinger used many of the anecdotal and completely fabricated Hearst stories in his "Gore Files" to highlight all sorts of terrible things done while under the power of Reefer Madness. Sadly, it seems, Anslinger was just another power mad racist who worked for years deluding himself that his goals were noble and it was his duty to protect certain segments of society form other less desirable segments.

So, as often is the case throughout history, a select few of the powerful create a situation in which the lesser classes are divided and their actions criminalized. And the Hounds whom they Keep are tasked with lying to, shaming, cajoling or forcing the lower peoples of this nation in line.

We are All Secular Fascists Now!

I would never take anyway and adults religious beliefs. Of course, I think, the real reason many adults are religious is because when they were children they were indoctrinated and browbeaten into believing a certain fairy tale (dependent upon where and when they live on Earth).

But, an interesting thing has happened of late. Atheists are no longer quiet about their non-belief. The reaction has been predictable. Religious believers have had their way and freedom from questions concerning unsubstantiated and unverifiable claims for so long, many have lost the methodology of proving faith through contemplation and dialectic. To paraphrase Robert M. Pirsig in Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance, They don't understand from where the shot has come. They've never confronted a living Atheist. Only dead ones.

The latest recent flare up was the placing of a sign by the Freedom From Religion Foundation in the Washington State Capitol building, and recently in Springfield Illinois. The sign displayed the following message:

At this season of the Winter Solstice, may reason prevail.
There are no gods, no devils, no angels, no heaven or hell.
There is only our natural world.
Religion is but myth and superstition that hardens hearts and enslaves minds.

This has caused a backlash, as the religious have organized protests against the sign. This is fantastic. The proper way for ideas to grow or die is through reason, discourse and the competeion of ideas in the free marketplace of ideas. Except to Newt Gingrich, Bill O'Reilly, Bill Donahue, Ken Ham and others who want such godless ideas stopped through government action.

Bill O'Reilly wants Governor Gregorie hounded for allowing the sign. And stated; “She is a weak and confused leader who allows a fanatical group parody in Christmas displays. I mean, how crazy is this?” Bill-O also declared Gregorie "insulted Christians all over the world".

According to Newt Gingrich the declaration of atheists ideas fits into his worldview that there is Secular Fascism in America today. As far as I know there have been no atheist murders of religious believers based on their hatred of said believers faith. Nor have there been church or temple bombings done by the godless. No Night of the Long Atheist Knives, no rounding up and internment of believers in camps, no confiscation of believers belongings to benefit the State.

But, for clarification Newt Gingrich believes the following: Free Speech=Fascism.

Bill Donohue declared on Fox & Friends the Washington State Capital sign is Hate Speech. (From Atheist Media Blog). I'm sure Bill Donohue would like to know that his characterization of criticism of religion is hate speech is exactly the same idea espoused by the government of Saudi Arabia, which is attempting to get the United Nations to ban all criticism of religion (mainly islam).

I just can't wait for the Righteous to disavow their attachment to that Secular Progressive ultimate Religious betrayer president George W. Bush who, when asked if the bible is literally true, declared: "You know. Probably not. ... No, I'm not a literalist..." (From Crooks and Liars).

The judeo-christian-islamo god most assuredly does not exist. Religion is about control and power.
