Life and Liberty in America is for (Straight) Christians Only, everybody else can go to Hell

Right Wing Freedom of Religion is the freedom to use their Religion to impose their will upon all of Us. Because America is for Christians only.

The same mindset which fuels the Zealotry of the ISIS/ISIL fuels the Religious Loons in the United States.   It, of course, doesn't mean Americans Religious Nuts are the Same as the Islamic Religious Nuts because the muslim extremists are by far more honest and more open about their goals whereas the American extremists lie and try and use back-door illegal channels to get their Christian Fascism ensconced into Law.

Ben Sasse, the Republican nominee for US Senate in Nebraska believes, Religious Liberty gives him and other Christians total immunity to break laws with impunity.
Government cannot force Citizens to violate their religious beliefs under any circumstances...
Of course, we are talkin' bout Real Religion not "neo-pagan and polytheistic, pre-Christian deities,” and therefore it does not fall within “the Judeo-Christian tradition" distinction which Chesterfield County in Virginia proclaims are the only true religions and therefore the only ones allowed on their official county list.

Senator Orrin Hatch says if the SCOTUS doesn't give him the power to Oppress people using Religion he'll change the Constitution to make sure it does.
"I hope the Supreme Court doesn’t screw that up is all I can say. Because if they foul up the First Amendment again, we are going to have a constitutional amendment," Senator Hatch said during a Memorial Day Speech, when asked about the pending Hobby Lobby Case before the Supreme Court.
These aren't fringe weirdos like Reverand Terry "Muttonchops" in Florida and his quran burning obsession. These are the erstwhile Leaders of the Republican Party elected to State and Federal Offices.

Republicans also routinely claim to be modern prophets. Ben Carson, claims The Lord GAWD had delivered unto him a message,
"I realized that God probably had something special he wanted me to say,” Carson explained. “But I didn’t know what it was until the morning of the prayer breakfast."
"After a while of wrestling with it, I just said, I’m leaving it alone, the Lord will tell me what to say," he continued. "And that morning, it was so clear in my mind what I was supposed to say."
And that message? Healing the Sick? Helping the Poor? Aiding the Afflicted? Nope. America must have a Flat Tax!

Because Supply-Side Jesus teaches us, it is easier for a Rich Man to pass into Heaven seated comfortably on the back of a camel than for a poor man to pass through the eye of a needle.

GOP Congressional Candidate James Lankford in Oklahoma has let it be known far and wide that Gawd Himself! has called upon him to run for the U.S. House. Now, how can you vote against a White Male Christian and consider yourself a good and true America? You can't libtard!

But, what this bible-thumping and proclamations of persecution leads to; is Violence in the name of the Lord.

The latest NRA-supported shooter of the 74 School Shootings since the Pro-2nd Amendment Massacre at Sandy Hook, Jared Padgett in Oregon was indoctrinated by Mormon Religious Fanatics and was highly regard by Church Elders for his spirituality.

He expressed his desire to cleanse the world of Sinners. Get 1000 of the same thinking types together, give them a Religious Demagogue to lead them and you have the ISIS/ISIL.

But, don't worry because before the Christian Zealots can begin their pogroms and attempted overthrow of the Government the Conservative Domestic Terrorists will have launched their Insurrection and attempted Coup.

From Right Wing Watch comes everybody's favorite fake Historian and Fabricator David Barton. Who explains how the bible teaches us to Vote based on Gawd's Top Ten List:

Palins' Papal Pronouncements, David Barton's insanity defense and right-wing religious persecution

Palin declared she's worried Pope Francis sounded kind of liberal, "[H]e's had some statements that to me sounded kind of liberal, has taken me aback, has kind of surprised me."

Of course, she's taken aback. Palin is a Real American and all real americans know that liberal is a dirty word. Why doesn't Il Papa know this?

Sarah Palin is not a Catholic. Yet, as with every issue, the only thing that is important is that the Right-Wing gets to excrete their ignorant bigotry.

No matter the issue, no matter the person, no matter their office, their achievements or accomplishments, if someone doesn't conform to right-wing orthodoxy then they are too be shunned and destroyed.

The Right incorporates a culture of absolute disrespect towards those who stray from their toxic mix of power apologia, pettiness, bigotry and oppression.

It doesn't matter if it's Pope Francis, Pat Tillman, a Postal Employee or President Obama, right-wingers are feces flinging fact-free fanatics, who only show respect for an individual if they espouse the proper right-wing rhetoric.
“I think this administration has a very narrow view of the First Amendment, that first freedom, the freedom of religion,” Family Research Council Tony Perkins explained. “I think they see religious freedom as fine with it as long as it’s in the four walls of a church. But if it comes into workplace, the marketplace, if it comes into the public square, it’s not welcome.”
This is exactly correct. Your weird beliefs are not welcome in the public square or the workplace, Mr. Perkins. You want to praise jesus? You want to adhere to the christian faith? Fine. But, you don't get to enforce your religious precepts onto others.

But, we've seen over and over and over again, that Religious Zealots don't want Freedom of Religion they want the Freedom to impose their religion on everyone else.
"I’m proud we are standing up for religious freedom in our state," Texas Governor and Republican Presidential Candidate Rick Perry said. "Freedom of religion doesn’t mean freedom from religion."
Part of the fight over coverage in the ACA is the fight of fanatics to force their beliefs on other people.
A business owner may be a Christian Scientist who doesn't believe in blood transfusions or antibiotics, but because the ACA provides coverage for those treatments the business owner doesn't get to veto coverage for his employee.
And if you think I'm creating an unfair strawman argument, religious wacko David Barton, truly believes that Veterans suffering from PTSD shouldn't get any medical or psychiatric treatment.
David Barton knows that if the returning Veteran truly believed in christ, he wouldn't have any problems. From Rawstory:
In a Veteran’s Day appearance on Believer’s Voice of Victory, televangelist Kenneth Copeland told "historian" David Barton that Numbers 32 said that soldiers “shall return and be guiltless before the Lord” and that meant that they wouldn’t have PTSD.
"You don’t take drugs to get rid of it, it doesn’t take psychology; that promise right there will get rid of it,” he said, pointing at the Bible.
"What we’re talking about, getting rid of the PTSD, guys who have been through battle, they need to understand that soldier’s promise, you come back guiltless before God and the nation," Barton agreed.
"You’re on an elevated platform up here, you’re a hero, you’re put in the faith hall of fame if you take this [Bible],” he added. "We used to in the pulpit understand the difference between a just war and an unjust war. And there’s a biblical difference, and when you do it God’s way, not only are you guiltless for having done that, you’re esteemed.”
For a long, long time the Right has had total dominion over religious voters. But, as the Holy Spirit moves through Pope Francis expect an upswing of catholic bashing routinely witnessed in American history. As Right-Wingers continue to lash out at those who don't conform to the conservative values of bigotry, oppression, hatred and subjugation.

Happy easter Lee Greenwood! There's NO god to Bless the U.S.A.

God Bless the U.S.A. was written by Lee Greenwood. It's his intellectual property. So it's fair he's mad that Stall Brook Elementary in Bellingham, Massachutes wanted to change the lyrics of the song to "We Love the U.S.A." for an April 12th assembly.

Greenwood made a statement, "Maybe the school should have asked the parents their thoughts before changing the lyrics to the song," Lee says. "They could have even asked the writer of the song, which I of course would have said you can't change the lyrics at all or any part of the song. The most important word in the whole piece of music is the word God, which is also in the title 'God Bless the USA.'

"We can't take God out of the song, we can't take God out of the Pledge of Allegiance, we can't take God off of the American currency," he continues. "Let us also remember, the phrase 'God Bless the USA' has a very important meaning for those in the military and their families, as well as new citizens coming to our country."

First off, beyond his jingoistic, schmaltzy, patronizing songs Lee Greenwood has no other intellectual property because he is riddled with a David Barton understanding of American History.

Barton, is famous for being the go-to-historian of conservatives when they want someone to make up a historical "fact" which coincides with a current position of the Right-Wingers. For instance, Barton proclaimed, "As far as the Founding Fathers were concerned, they’d already had the entire debate over creation and evolution, and you get Thomas Paine, who is the least religious Founding Father, saying you’ve got to teach Creation science in the classroom. Scientific method demands that!"

Yes! A full 70 years before the publication of On the Origin of Species and 40 years before Darwin sailed on the HMS Beagle, the Founders rejected evolution. Even the Lamarackian Evolutionary Theory wasn't published until 1809, the year Thomas Paine died and Charles Darwin was born. I could be charitable and say perhaps Barton wants to claim the Founders were knowledgable of the Taxonomical classifications of Carl Linnaeus, but, that's not what Barton means because David Barton is liar for christ.

As for Greenwood's statements about god and the currency and the Pledge, well, the blight of the Dominionist liars for christ strikes again.

Written in 1892, the original pledge is I pledge allegiance to my Flag and the Republic for which it stands, one nation indivisible, with liberty and justice for all. Hmmmm, looking for god in there... In fact, god wasn't added until 1954.

Paper Currency did not have In god We Trust, until 1957.

Greenwood is a classic Republican, he reimagines American history to fit his blinkered Right-Wing fantasies, he's been married 4 times, and while he talks tough and proud about the American military he dodged the service and Vietnam.

But, hey conservatism isn't concerned with truth but, with a continuously bizarre parade of performance art designed to rouse the limbic systems of the faithful.
