Everything Trump is accusing President Biden of being guilty of is a litany of Trump's own crimes.  Yet, the Corporate Media still can not break the 8 year spell they put themselves under and accurately cover Trump in the proper context; the proper context is Traitor Trump a life-long conman, Russian compromised, serial sexual abuser, thief, racist, Traitor who was impeached twice and attempted to overthrow the United States Government, directing a violent mob of Republicans into the US Capitol, who succeeded in stopping the peaceful transfer of power in this Nation.

At every turn we are faced with the awful truth that Republicans have decided to destroy the United States.  They will rule or Ruin this Nation.

So, it turns out the so-called Whistleblower Gal Luft touted by James Comer, Nancy Mace, Gym Jordan, and every other House Republican is nothing but criminal.  And is charged with everything he has claimed Hunter Biden was doing.  But, Republicans throughout this Nation don't care.  They are, by their own admissions, not interested in the Truth but, in the accusation.  Every Republican Accusation is a Confession.  There is a lot of good reporting about Luft and his crimes which I can't cover in depth here compared to some of the work already done.

The Rightwing Wurlitzer of Lies has been non-stop in going after Hunter Biden.  I will reiterate why; conservatives want to put so much pressure on Hunter Biden that he suffers a relapse in his addiction recovery, begins using again, suffers an overdose, and dies.  Hunter Biden death, of course, would shatter President Joe Biden.

There is almost nothing they won't stop at to bring this about.  And to that effort the Corporate Media will aid them at every step along the way.  That's the most egregious part of this saga.  The Corporate Media again find themselves being used by the unsavory and criminal Republican Party to advance rightwing lies and agitprop.  Instead of used I will point out that the Corporate Media are once again willing accomplices.

Marcy Wheeler over at EmptyWheel wrote this  pretty accurate column on the origin of the Hunter Biden saga and the Republicans mobilization of the their entire media apparatus to Kill Hunter Biden,

I do know this: in 2014, some corrupt oligarchs decided to put Joe Biden’s son in a place where, no matter what he did, they could use it to their future advantage. It was stupid for him to take that offer, but let’s all acknowledge it was a set-up from the start. I know that no later than 2018, other corrupt oligarchs, some with clear ties to Russian spooks, started pitching Hunter Biden as a scandal, all wrapped up for Donald Trump’s personal consumption. I know that ever since, Republicans have been milking the addiction recovery of a private citizen relentlessly. I’m not sure a private figure has ever been scrutinized so closely and relentlessly by Congress, including past mob or union corruption investigations that actually served the public interest. I know that Trump’s own tax scandals, Ivanka and Jared’s influence peddling, Trump’s corrupt oligarch ties, Trump’s pardons — including of far bigger tax cheats than Hunter Biden — have gotten nowhere near this level of scrutiny, and almost no one is making the GOP’s base hypocrisy here the story.

I know that Hunter Biden has made a ton of mistakes in his life, and I admire that he is doing the hard work to turn his life around. I can’t imagine trying to do it at a time when millions of people have made him their personal plaything for scandal.

What I don’t understand is how self-respecting people can so willingly play a part of the effort to rip Hunter Biden to shreds solely because Republicans choose to run on wildly hypocritical scandal-mongering rather than policy. You’re letting half-wit bozos manipulate you like children, and you’re positively gleeful about it! Do you not understand — or care — what a grotesque project you’re playing useful idiots for?

This is the key thing.  The Corporate Media and journalists are not being led astray by bad faith Republicans but, are cooperating in the most disingenuous propaganda efforts willingly.  I think subtly the Biden Administration does recognize this and is actively minimizing the bad faith efforts of the Media.  Won't stop the Corporate Media from speculating about Sleepy Joe's coke habit after a Republican planted cocaine at the White House.

Republicans long march and guerrilla war agains the Media has finally been won.  Republican anger at the Media goes back at least 50 years since Nixon was forced to resign and Republican leaders made it their mission to make sure no Republican would ever face the same thing again.  George Santos continuing to occupy his House seat and being a shoo-in for the 2024 Congressional election illustrates this.

But, Republicans knew they couldn't fix their Media problem overnight so they set about doing what Republicans do best; subverting, infiltrating, and undermining from within.  So, they created their own entire Media apparatus.  Ronnie Raygun eliminated the fairness doctrine.  Republicans perfected the "some people are saying" and where there's smoke there's fire Hearsay method of broadcasting their lies and getting the Corporate Media to then cover their manufactured scandals.  And now, today what do we have;  terrestrial talk radio lead to the proliferation of hundreds of these Rightwing Youtube nincompoops,  Fox News stole Florida in the 2000 election providing the Rightwing Supreme Court the chance to steal the election,  Dick Cheney reported that even the Liberal New York Times confirmed Saddam Hussein has Nukes, the Ultimate Conman Grifter Trump used the Media to breathlessly report on Hillary's Emails.  And those are merely the biggest, most grave illustrations.  The Corporate Media dutifully and without question hears rightwing framing of an issue and uncritically regurgitates it.  For instance, ABC calling the Moms 4 Hitler group "Joyful Warriors" instead of the correct term lying Fascist Barbies.

HRC was absolutely correct about a vast right-wing conspiracy, as well as a great many other things, and the Corporate Media made sure she was destroyed for saying it.

Things haven't changed to this day.  The Corporate Media still loves Donald John Traitor Trump with CNN giving him a Town Hall forum even after Trump tried to overthrow the US Government.  They can't wait to report on the latest nonsense Major Traitor Greene has to say from the House floor.  The Media Bothsides everything, rush out in the rural coffeehouses on Cletus Safari's to find out what Trump supporters think, and rush to report how this or that is bad news for President Biden and the Dems are in Disarray. 

To be absolutely clear this is Pure Fascism.  Republicans have adopted a ridiculous double standard and the unequal application of laws, and because they've done so the GOP desperately needs to Accuse Biden and the Democrats of what the Republicans are doing; i.e. the so-called Weaponization of the Department of Justice.  Be Ready, because Republicans are a fully Fascist Organization now and history always teaches us Fascist Organizations like the Republicans will engage in terrorism and mass murder as soon as they gain enough control of the levers of Government.

The day after Independence Day I recently read the worldwide temperature was the highest ever recorded at 62.9 Fahrenheit.  These records only date to 1940.  So right there Republicans can dismiss evidence of the rapidly warming planet.  Meanwhile, the New England area is experiencing torrential rainfall and a 1-in-a-1000 year flooding event...  Strange how these Once every Thousand year events happen yearly or even more often.

But, not satisfied with environmental catastrophes, Republicans in Wisconsin voted to spread diseases in Junior High,

The Republican-controlled Wisconsin Legislature on Wednesday voted to stop Democratic Gov. Tony Evers’ administration from requiring seventh graders to be vaccinated against meningitis.  The Legislature’s vote also makes it easier for parents to get an exemption from a chicken pox vaccine requirement that is in place for all K-6 students. Evers’ administration wanted to require parents seeking a chicken pox vaccination exemption to provide proof that their child has previously been infected.

These are not the dreaded mRNA vaccines which Republicans demonized under the rubric as "the Jab" to fuel their phony propaganda campaign of died suddenly and millions wmore will die soon!  Chicken pox vaccines have been around since the 1970's and meningitis is CDC recommended for 11-12 year olds. 

Part of this is the decades long rightwing effort to undermine and destroy Education in the United States, and more broadly the on-going Republican effort to cause dysfunction in the government while making government totally unresponsive and unavailable to large swaths of American society; as say when the Supremacist Court ruled against Student Debt loan relief or baned Universities from addressing historical inequities in education.  This is why the Betsy DeVos funded Moms 4 Hitler group so lovingly embraced him; conservatives seek nothing less than the destruction of the Department of Education, tight restrictions of higher learning, and the indoctrination of the rest of America into accepting their Totalitarian dictates. 

So, when you couple this with every Republican policy; e.g. the mass proliferation of firearms (guns being the #1 cause of preventable deaths in children and teens), denial of medical care to women, reductions in every facet of the meager social safety net, and the rank climate change denial, it illustrates how much and how viscerally Republicans hate your children.  They really hate your fucking children but, being Republicans they do like fucking your children... over.

It also illustrates how little thought Republicans give to the future.  Crank that AC to 65!  Grow that Sod! Drill Baby Drill!  Drain those Marshlands!  Dump whatever you want into the Great Lakes!  Slash and burn those forests!  Fuck the Future! Republicans know that with Billionaires funding and influencing the Supreme Court and with the Boomer Generation getting older and feeling more and more entitled to draining as much resources as they wish, just like the fvcking Boomers have done their entire pampered lives, they can win enough elections to entrench their political power, until the day comes when Republicans have to use all those Guns they've been stockpiling to take Political Power by force.

At all levels of government, Republicans demonstrate over and over again that they love lies and hate America.  This is an incontrovertible fact.  But, they get away with it for two reasons:  The Corporate Media is reticent to call out Republican lies and must always, always, always BothSides everything.  As a corollary the Rise of Rightwing Media allows Republicans to espouse their lies under the guise of News.  And their duped and violent base is primed by 50 years of non-stop agitprop to support Republicans no matter what.

Phony Founding Fathers quotes has been a rightwing cottage industry since the 1950's, as Republicans sought to ground their bigotry, hatred, and christian fascism in historical precedent. 

So, it's no surprise that the Coward Josh Hawley, would use one from a Segregationist group.  After all, most Americans only know Patrick Henry as, "Give Me Liberty or Give Me Death."

Hawley is ostensibly an Honors Graduate... from Stanford... in History, and yet he can't see the verbiage in this "quote" is ahistorical and would never have been uttered by someone born and educated in the later 18th century?  Now, it's been pointed out to me that Hawley most assuredly doesn't run his Twitter account and this is, most likely, the work of some low-level 20something staffer but, that feels far too generous for a Coward who fomented insurrection against his own Nation and Government. 

Of course, much worse than these Republicans who invent Dragon's Teeth and other lies about 'An Armed Populace' was the Supreme Court ruling on Fash Colorado Karen's refusal to make a Gay Website.  No one ever requested she make the website.  Instead, the Mom for Hitler Lorrie Smith in Colorado completely made up the story that she received a request to make a gay wedding website in 2017.  But, the bigoted Faux News watching cranks on the Supremacist Court couldn't be bothered to check if the entire edifice they built their Lie upon had no foundation because Fuck You, that's Why and after all the Republican Justices were too busy taking million dollar vacations with their Billionaire benefactors to care.

In Oklahoma, some pencil-dicked dweeb named Ryan Walters won the Superintendent of Public Instruction for the State receiving 650,000 votes (57%) of the vote in 2022.  Oklahoma would of course be better off if Walters stuck his thin dick into a pencil sharpener instead of ruining the state.  Asked about the teaching of the 1921 Tulsa Race Massacre, when white conservatives slaughtered dozens of black persons, wounded a thousand more, and burned the black owned and operated Greenwood District of Tulsa, Walters responded that race shouldn't be considered, mentioned, or taught in conjunction with what his fore-bearers did in destroying the "Black Wall Street".

“I would never tell a kid that because of your race, because of the color of your skin, or your gender or anything like that, you are less of a person or are inherently racist. That doesn’t mean you don’t judge the actions of individuals. Oh, you can. Absolutely, historically, you should. ‘This was right. This was wrong. At least we can tell by the content of Walters character he's a despicable bigot.  As Patrick Henry actually said,

It's all day, everyday, everywhere, all at once.  Republicans have already declared War on the US, Lies are merely one salient in the Republican Plan to destroy the United States.  Unconstitutional SCOTUS ruling are another.  But, the goal of the Republican Party is nothing less than to destroy this Nation and replace it with a NeoConfederate Dominionist Hellscape of Bigotry, Oppression, Hatred, and Rule by the Rich.  We all wish it were not true and many act as though Republicans & Rightwingers won't follow the pattern of all Totalitarian Regimes but, no matter the outcome of 2024, Republicans are primed for violence and awaiting the Orders.

When the topic of gun control comes up, one of the most disingenuous arguments Gun Nuts make is Just Enforce the Laws already on the Books!  They don't actually mean it because while they say this, Gun Humping psychos, Racists, the Firearms Industry lobbyists, and Republicans challenge and remove existing gun laws.

Suddenly, thanks to the Supremacist Court the only gun laws that can exist are whatever regulations existed in the early 1700's.  And next year the White Supremacist Court is going to take on the thorny issue of whether violent domestic abuse perpetrators can be denied their blessed and unassailable Second Amendment Rights;

Zackey Rahimi was not a responsible gun owner. He exhibited the type of behavior that identified him as a danger to both the public and those closest to him. In February 2020, Rahimi agreed to be subject to a protective order after allegedly assaulting his ex-girlfriend. Between December 2020 and January 2021, he was involved in five shootings. But despite acknowledging that Rahimi is “hardly a model citizen” – an understatement – the 5th Circuit Court of Appeals in deciding United States v. Rahimi recently struck down the federal law prohibiting possession of firearms by people subject to domestic violence protection orders. In short, the 5th Circuit ruled that prohibiting abusers like Rahimi from possessing firearms is unconstitutional under the Second Amendment. In doing so, the court sided with abusers.  

This decision, which applies in Texas, Mississippi, and Louisiana, is just the latest alarming development in a new era of Second Amendment cases. The new test for such cases, established in New York State Rifle & Pistol Association v. Bruen, requires the government to show that modern gun violence prevention laws are relevantly similar to historical laws.

It's unbelievable until you realize that rightwingers don't talk about this because it undermines their efforts to flood the Nation with as many firearms as possible, while also rolling back, eliminating and undoing every regulation they can at every level of government.  And no this is not hyperbole the denouement of Republicans and Gun Nuts is to have no law on the books except the supreme law of the land and in their Second Amendment is says Shall Not Be Infringed.

Of course, one problem with all of this is the rightwing misunderstanding of where laws come from.  Laws are creations of Men Humans and Society but, for years rightwingers have clung to the philosophical nonsense that laws are these immutable things, perfectly existing, somewhere nebulously in the cosmos, having been written into the fabric of Space/Time by the Almighty.  Thus, Shall Not Be Infringed and gun rights are god's law.  But, as in the case of domestic abusers, conservatives want everyone to know they have lots of guns because if you upset them, by being LGBTQ, or use their driveway to turn around, or look suspicious, why then the law grants them the right to gun you down.

So, violent men will continue to be able to exercise their Dude Rights to murder women who reject them, break off relationships, or have the temerity to live.

On Friday night, 35-year-old Ashley Yates was shot and killed in the parking lot of Westport Village, where she worked. Her family tells WHAS11 she was a longtime victim of an abusive relationship. 

The suspect, who the family says was an on-and-off romantic partner, has since died. Louisville Metro Police (LMPD) believes he died by suicide Saturday night, a day after the murder. 

"If you need help, ask for it. It doesn't have to be you," Yates brother said. "Ashley had every reason to leave the person who did this, and her life was threatened before, but she was stuck in a cycle and kept going back to this individual.

And sadly, most Police don't believe Domestic Violence is a real crime.  Anyway.. women as separate entities don't exist in the Constitution, and for years married women could hardly be considered real people anyway, and their rights are to be found nowhere.  This Supremacist Court is fully invested in removing any and all protections for Women in this country.  I guarantee this Supreme Court will agree Domestic Abusers and Mass Shooters should be able to have guns, to gun down those broads who dump them.  Republicans hate you and want you to die and next years' SCOTUS Ruling on US v. Rahimi will continue that trend, Guns are most often used by their owner to commit suicide after that person has killed their so-called loved ones.

While Wisconsin Republicans rush to join the Confederacy, Governor Tony Evers looks to the Future

After the Supremacist Court rulings, Wisconsin Republicans indicated they planned to rollback the meager assistance directed to minorities to attend University in Wisconsin.

"We are reviewing the decision and will introduce legislation to correct the discriminatory laws on the books and pass repeals in the fall," Vos, a Republican of Rochester, tweeted Thursday.

Vos was referring to the Minority Undergraduate Retention Grant program, which provides scholarships ranging from $250 to $2,500 to Black, Native American, Hispanic or Southeast Asian students to attend technical colleges, private nonprofit colleges and tribal colleges.

Vos' plan comes amid a broader Republican push to eliminate diversity, equity and inclusion efforts within the University of Wisconsin System. The state budget, which passed both chambers this week, includes a $32 million cut to the UW System in an attempt to eliminate positions related to DEI.

The Republican Party has nothing to offer the American people so Robin Vos' headlong rush backwards should not be surprising.  But, one of the key propaganda components for the last 50 years has been to tell the White Middle Class people, whom Republicans are oppressing, that the oppression actually comes from some unqualified black or woman who got their job.  Vos has explicitly expressed the ridiculous rightwing claim the only discrimination that exists in America is so-called "Reverse-Racism". 

"The overt racism, the overt exclusion, the overt indoctrination is so deep inside the UW System, I am embarrassed to be an alumni," said Vos, who graduated from UW-Whitewater in 1991. "We have got to fix that.”

When Republicans speak of "fixing" America they mean the goal of destroying the United States and replacing it with a Fundamentalist Apartheid Nation with religious edicts and White Supremacy as the new law of the land.  To that end we see the Republicans in Wisconsin and across the country, curtailing voting rights, undoing protections for the less fortunate, gutting opportunities for minorities and the poor, and seeking to shackle women into child birth against their consent.

The Constitution is not color-blind.  After southern conservatives launched their War in defense of Slavery and lost. The 13th, 14th, and 15th Amendments tried to alleviate some of this and Southern Conservatives were furious.   So, Southern Conservatives began a campaign of Terrorism and infiltration and subversion of the United States Government.  Today, the lies and hatred of the South has permeated every State in the Nation. 

Fortunately, for Wisconsin residents, despite having a large cadre of NeoConfederates undermining the State, Governor Tony Evers has used his powers to defend the Wisconsin working class and ensure those of modest or no financial means will be able to attend higher education.

Evers reduced the GOP income tax cut from $3.5 billion to $175 million, and did away entirely with lower rates for the two highest earning brackets. He also used his partial veto power to increase how much revenue K-12 public schools can raise per student by $325 a year until 2425.

Evers took language that originally applied the $325 increase for the 2023-24 and 2024-25 school years and instead vetoed the “20” and the hyphen to make the end date 2425.

The Wisconsin Republican Legislature had proposed stealing half the Wisconsin budget surplus and funneling it to rich assholes.  Because the Republican Party raison d'être is returning political power to the obscene Rich.  We are faced with a violently Reactionary Supreme Court, financed by obscene Rich assholes, comprised of viciously mad old men who have conspired their whole lives to destroy the Progressive Era and undo any modest gains for the poor, the sick, the tired, the homeless, huddled masses, and re-establish the United States as it was intended by the Founders; a Nation with the Government and Power tightly controlled by the Rich who dispense concepts like Freedom, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness through the largesse or not at all if they so desire.  A Neo-Confederate Nation under the Rule of Billionaire Class.  Republicans have made their choice.

As always, conservatives create names for their groups and co-opt words which are diametrically in opposition to their actual goals; the so-called Moms For Liberty group is merely the latest iteration of this historical rightwing trend of naming your little terrorist cell something you are earnestly trying to destroy.

But, never forget that the Corporate Media's job is to stenograph Rightwing Agitprop and make it palatable for Normie consumption.  So, while the Moms 4 Liberty group work to undermine liberty and freedom Corporate Media reporting often merely focuses on what the group says they are doing; which invariably is Fighting to Protect the Children.

Reality, of course, demonstrates again and again what these rightwing groups are really doing is crafting their own Cause Belli to justify violence against groups of people, while being funded by Billionaire plutocrats.

Certainly these groups know they must focus on LGBTQ persons first before expanding their target list to include teachers, or liberal parents, immigrants, black students, and on and on as the Target list for these groups ends up expanding to anyone who undermines the White Patriarchy.

In the meantime, Moms 4 Liberty have the juice to draw in Donald John Traitor Trump and Nikki Haley to their Convention.  Haley informed of the extremist nature of the group indicated she is one of the Outsiders who can be counted on,

“When they mentioned that this was a terrorist organization, I said, ‘Well, then count me as a Mom for Liberty, because that’s what I am,’” Nikki Hiterley

Nikki can be counted on to support and defend the Fascist Fundamentalist White Power Nation the MutterKreuz are creating.

Other women who aspire to prove their bonafides, in Florida Cuban Mother Daily Salinas, an ardent support of the Proud Boys and the Mothers 4 Hitler, personally took it upon herself to ensure that Amanda Gorman's work was removed from Florida Schools.  Salinas, did this you see, to protect the children from Communism as she is worried about the children.  Sadly, Gorman's books were banned and removed from schools, Salinas however, admitted the things she objected too she'd never read,

"I’m not an expert. I’m not a reader. I’m not a book person. I’m a mom involved in my children’s education.”

Not an expert?  No problem!  Salinas claims she isn't targeting Gorman because she's black or spoke at President Biden's inauguration, it's because Salinas is super interested in children's education despite not being a reader...

To the Modern Conservative, All Things are Permitted when defending the children.  This especially includes taking clandestine videos of children without the consent of parents, educators, or school districts and then taking snippets of the videos and proclaiming these are groomers and this is the LGBTQ sexualization of the children.  Truth is not required.  All that is needed is for rightwing provocateurs to say  that is what is happening and release the agitprop to the be eagerly consumed by the rabid rightwing base.

The Moms For Liberty goal is easy to understand;  they seek to re-create a multi-tiered society founded on  White Supremacy and Patriarchy.  These women want to reclaim their status as a protected class above everyone else in Society aiding the White Male Evangelical master class, a NeoConfederate Christian Fascist Ethno-State.

I confess I knew little or nothing about Andrew Tate prior to Greta Thunberg delivering an epic facial and leading Romanian officials to Tate's secret sex slave lair.  Tate's appeal to teenage boys and Republican rapists was unknown to me but, it fits a pattern.  As the Right has descended into Full-blown Fascism, it finds the worst examples to elevate, emulate, and defend at all costs because if they can make Rapists, Traitors, Criminals and Conmen into National Heroes and examples to live by well then those people can assume positions of authority and execute the Rightwing goals of eliminating millions of people who do not conform to Conservative Ideology.

Ultimately... that is the goal.  Widespread removal of certain peoples from society and the reshaping of cultural norms, rules, and laws to rigidly enforce a Reactionary Nation-State supported by the pillars of Racism, Patriarchy, Misogyny and worse.

So, it shall comes as no surprise that a cadre of the dregs of rightwing very on-line society have tasked themselves with White Knighting Andrew Tate and his brother even though The Tates have been arrested and now charged with running a rapist sex slavery ring, and despite protecting the children and rooting out sexual monsters was the entire rallying cry of Q-Anon for the last 5 years.

Of course, it should come as no surprise that Rightwingers aren't actually interested in the things they profess to believe in;  conservative long ago jettisoned their morals, ethics, values, and beliefs.  Well before Trump.  Donald John Traitor merely picked the low hanging fruit of rightwing rage and engorged himself.  Much as he engorged himself while sexually fantasizing about his daughter Ivanka.  Disgustingly, I believe it is far more likely true than not that Trump sexually abused his daughter growing up.  But, again Trump's true character is of little consequence to conservatives; he feeds their visceral hatred of The Other and makes them feel righteous in their rank racism and blatant bigotry.

So, Andrew Tate, Elon Musk, and Donald Trump White Knights defend them not because they believe them to be innocent but because they know they are guilty of everything and much more and the power and freedom to commit acts of atrocity against the Other, the weak, the outsiders, women, beta males, the LGBTQ, is what conservatives yearn to do.

SRO Scot Peterson and Parkland's long shadow

As the news of the Parkland school shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglass High School broke, and the news reports of what the School Resource Officer (SRO) did and did not do I was filled with a great swell of pity for the man.  Today, that SRO, Scot Peterson was found Not Guilty after being charged with child neglect for failing to confront NRA-Trained MAGA Gunman Nicholas Cruz;

A jury has acquitted on all counts the former school resource officer who stayed outside during the February 2018 massacre at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida – absolving him of wrongdoing in the rare trial of a law enforcement officer for his response to a mass shooting.  Scot Peterson, 60, took off his glasses and wept in court as the judge read the verdict, which found him not guilty of seven counts of felony child neglect, three counts of culpable negligence and one count of perjury.

Look, Peterson was afraid.  He thought his last few years of Policing could be a nice day-to-day hall monitor job.  Glad handing with the teachers and talking trash with the students.Instead, Parkland joined the ever-growing list of mass shooting massacres.  I won't say unthinkable because mass shootings are a daily occurrence and fact of day-to-day life in America.  Everywhere.  At any time.

Thinking people have a sense of what they might or might not do in such a situation.  Of course, I have been a SRO and always feared such an encounter during my time.  It's never far from your mind.

Of course, after the shooting the vile bloated creature stepped in to bloviate about what his fat ass would have done if only he had been there, "I think, I really believe I’d run in there even if I didn’t have a weapon.  They weren't exactly Medal of Honor winners, alright?  They way they performed was frankly, disgusting."

That fat fucking coward.  That racist fucking Traitor.  As if a man who made sure to skip out of service when it was his time declaring his hypothetical heroics is the epitome of Republican Courage.  When've seen this type of tough-guy nonsense from Sean Hannity, from that child-raping chickenhawk coward Ted Nugent, from so many rightwing internet warriors.  This, of course, was before Trump incited an Insurrection and successfully delayed the peaceful transfer of power in the United States.  This is before Trump and his Republican con-conspirators thought to override the will of the American people by bureaucratic legerdemain so that his Russian conspiring ass could remain in office.

No one knows what they're gonna do until the bullets start flying.  And I sure would like to have a country in which we didn't need Hero Cops going into a school to confront yet another Mass Shooter.  But, we don't live in that Nation, we live in a Nation in which Gun Nuts, the NRA, the Firearms Industry, and the Republican Party have an alliance to sell as many guns as possible, to strike down as many gun laws as possible, and to ensure there are as many mass shootings as possible because Gun Violence makes them money and gives them political power.  But, to blame this one man for decades of vile NRA perfidy and Republican treachery was too much for a Jury today.

But, getting back to the air quality issue, it seems everyone has grasped that Chicago's air isn't bad right now because of smokestacks or car exhaust on the ground locally but, because of factors outside the immediate area and thus outside the jurisdiction of "Chicago".

Chicago residents were not responsible for BP Whiting in Indiana repeatedly violating environmental laws and dumping benzene, mercury, and other toxic chemicals directly into Lake Michigan.

Chicago residents were not responsible for the giant choking black tornadoes of coal ash whipped up by the wind from the petcoke deposits the Koch Brothers dumped uncovered alongside the Calumet river in 2012.

So, the abnormal haze, cool temperatures and smokey air coating lower Wisconsin and the Chicago-land area are fallout of the massive once-in-a-century Canadian Wildfires.  These once in a generation wildfires, gigantic tornado clusters, Category 5 hurricanes, massive floods, deadly heat waves are sure coming more and more often. 

Pollution issues affecting people not responsible for creating them is the entire crux of the Climate Change catastrophe afflicting the world.  And one of the reasons, Republicans won't do anything about it.  The massive amount of people who will suffer and die are probably going to be in the underdeveloped Nations around the world and thus overwhelmingly not white.  And the large cities in America which are affected are havens for Democrats, so it's a win-win-win to Republicans to have poor black and brown people suffer and die and for liberals to suffer in the United States.  After all, Republicans are Real Americans living in the Countryside clinging to their guns and religion and will survive the climate disaster. 

Even Tojo couldn't get rid of the Marine Corps Commandant but Tommy Tuberville sure can! Republicans hate America and have nothing to offer the American people.

Ever since USMC General Thomas Holcomb's age mandated retirement in 1943, following Commandant's of the Marine Corps have served a tour of duty of slightly less than 4 years.  On July 10th, the current Commandant David H. Berger's term will expire.  The United Senate Armed Services Committee has approved General Eric Smith to be voted upon by the entire body of the United States Senate.  Except it won't be voted on by the Senate because Tommy Tuberville is exercising an Unconstitutional hold on all Officer promotions.

I wrote, many years ago how the US Senate under Republican Perfidy operates more and more like the Medieval Polish Sejm and the infamous Golden Freedom for one man to object and stop all work of the Polish parliament.

Well, Senator Tommy Tuberville has been doing just that with his incredible hold on the promotions of all US Officers. Tuberbrain has couched his blanket hold on promotions because he's upset that "taxpayer" dollars are being used to fund travel for serivcemembers seeking abortions.  

“What’s happened is since Roe v. Wade went back to states like it should have, they’re trying to use taxpayer dollars any way they can to fund travel and time off for service members to get abortions without any restrictions." 

There is so much to unpack in this bullshit rationale.  Besides the logical conclusion since the military pay, housing, and medical care is "tax-payer" funded Tuberville's bullshit would mean no abortions.  This is really one of the ramps the Supremacist Court created with their Hobby Lobby Sincere Religious ruling creating the ability for an employers' religious beliefs being a "legal reason" to restrict what an employee can do with their earnings and how a business owner could thus insert themselves into a person's medical care.  Tuberville also wrote his blanket holds are a way to fight back against "Wokeness"

Never forget "Wokeness" is a purposefully undefinable term Republicans use to attack Americans and to continue their quest to destroy the American Dream and reshackle the American people into Wage Slavery and perpetual Corporate Bondage. 

In some regard, Tuberbrain's plan to destroy the Military in order to save it, is standard operating procedure for Republicans going back decades.  Understand Republicans hate America and have always considered people exercising their rights and freedoms as a detriment to Republican Rule.

Republicans and Rightwingers long ago conferred upon themselves the absolute right to speak about Military matters as though they were the Ultimate Authority on the matters.  Tuberville is no different from thousands of rear-echelon, never-served, cowards, warmongers, and chickenhawk Republican motherfuckers spouting off about Veterans and active duty Service Members.  Here for instance are two rightwing warmongers, Laura Ingraham and Horace Cooper who've never served, never had a family member involved in the Republican GWoT, speaking as if they have a valuable insight on the Untied States,

Horace Cooper, is a convicted criminal and was a champion warmonger for the disastrous Republican Wars in Afghanistan and Iraq, but he has of course his own deep-seated pathos which I won't delve into other than to pity him.  But, this does highlight the 50 year obsession with listening to a rightwinger give his opinion on the military as though it's natural for any conservative.

With the Corporate Media's help Republicans have long been given undue credit and authority* when it comes to the Military.  The Cold War and US proxy wars against Communism had the overarching effect of making the Military a hard right institution.  The failure and crimes of Vietnam turned "The Left" completely away the military as a career and left the upper levels of command in the hands of Republicans and Reactionaries.  That infamous chickenhawk and chickenshit Ronnie Raygun recognized this and while he never had the courage or fortitude to serve when he was younger, as President he loved to play-act and invented the whole Command-in-Chief salute.  This, you recall was a one of the dastardly Black Muslim things President Obama wouldn't do which had all rightwing chickenhawk bloggers up-in-arms.

Republicans hate you and they hate America.  What Republicans love is the power, influence, and money they get from using the Military as a cudgel to bash the left.  But, the 21st century is a different era than Post-Vietnam America.  The US military has a high concentration of minorities, is overwhelmingly liberal, and in 2020 voted for President Joe Biden.  This infuriates Republicans.

The Republican Party has nothing to offer the American people.  Not even the old pablum of Bread and Circuses.  The Republican Party is a fully-fascist operation now and as they continue to lose elections and overall popular support their tactics will continue to delve into violence and madness.

Larry Bird, paid sick days and Work not loving you back

The stories and myths surrounding Larry Bird are legendary, if you'll forgive the obvious pun.  In Bird Watching, Larry Legend recounted to Jackie MacMullen a story of his father, who by all accounts was not an agreeable man and who suffered personal demons which lead him to take his own life in 1975.  Bird's father worked construction, and the story goes, broke his ankle on a Friday and stuffed his swollen and discolored foot back into his boot on Monday to go to work.

Now, as a general rule we are taught to laud and nod approvingly about Joe Bird's dedication and work ethic.  The so-called Virtue of Hard Work.  And Bird in the 1980's played through numerous injuries which was an indication of his toughness and determination.  Bird also hurt his back putting in a driveway at his mom's house in Indiana.  Now... Bird later in life admitted that if he had won another title in the 1980's he would have retired probably in 1988.  Besides Bird, his Hall of Fame teammate Kevin McHale broke a bone in his foot during their 1987 Season and played the rest of the year because this was Celtics of the 1980's were a dynasty and the only thing which kept them from winning the Finals in 1987 were the Showtime Lakers.

Sticking with basketball, Michael Jordan famously played the "Flu Game" during the 1997 NBA Finals against the Utah Jazz.  Rumors have always swirled that it was either a sabotaged Pizza from Utah Jazz fans or Jordan was hungover (which would have been difficult but, not impossible considering the strict liquor laws in Utah).  But, after the game bosses across the country were trying to shame workers/employees by pointing out Jordan wasn't calling in sick to work.  Of course, Jordan was being paid $30 Million to play for the Bulls that year (and probably made 10x that from his lucrative endorsements). 

I've had to come to grips with using my accrued time-off.  For the last 10 years Pre-Covid, I haven't taken many days off.  Fortunately, and with a little diligence and preventative care, I've avoided Covid these last 3 years.  But, before Covid it was still a badge of honor for many to come into work sick, even if the flu bug and the fluids you spewed in your work environment infected others.  Well... things are different now.

Paid Sick Days are a necessary and important part of any worker's lives and job.  But, companies chafe at giving them.  And that brings us to Dark Brandon getting it done again.  And once again don't expect the Corporate Media to cover this because the Corporate Media's job is to make Republicans palatable no matter what they do or whom they hurt and to diligently not mention anything which shows a Democratic President winning.  So, while Republicans members of Congress scream 'Bitch' at each other on the floor of the Capitol, President Biden and his diligent staff calmly and methodically gained a big win for Railroad workers,  

“We’re thankful that the Biden administration played the long game on sick days and stuck with us for months after Congress imposed our updated national agreement,” Russo said. “Without making a big show of it, Joe Biden and members of his administration in the Transportation and Labor departments have been working continuously to get guaranteed paid sick days for all railroad workers. 

“We know that many of our members weren’t happy with our original agreement,” Russo said, “but through it all, we had faith that our friends in the White House and Congress would keep up the pressure on our railroad employers to get us the sick day benefits we deserve. Until we negotiated these new individual agreements with these carriers, an IBEW member who called out sick was not compensated.”

Meanwhile, what do Republicans have to offer working Americans?  Nothing, other than Oklahoma stumblebum MarkWayne Mullin pretending he's a tough guy and challenging a Teamster leader You Wanna Go? while lying during a Senate hearing.  Of course, Mullin famously said this year he's "not interested in reality, he's asking the questions!"

Your work won't love you back and Republicans hate you.  Over the past few years Republicans, even ones who took millions in PPP loans from the Government and didn't have to pay back the money, are pissed that President Biden is forgiving student loans and aiding American workers in exerting their power to organize and gain benefits owed to them.  This infuriates Republican who hate the American Dream and want Americans re-shackled into Wage Slavery and perpetual Corporate Bondage.

Republicans long ago, agreed to an alliance with Big Business to undercut Americans at every turn.   American capitalists successfully convinced the Republican Party that they would be better served by the ability for capital to seek employment wherever it was convenient and cheaper.  The Pro-Labor platform of Young Republicans under Dwight D. Eisenhower was replaced with the off-shoring of jobs and the importing of cheaper labor.  Ronnie Raygun heard this clarion call.  Raygun hated powerful worker unions as far back as when he was Governor of California when Dolores Huerta (and Cesar Chavez) put up a struggle against the rapacious grape growers.

As President Reagan (besides war crimes) famously destroyed Unions and began the Republican assault on Worker's lives by shipping manufacturing and heavy industry off-shore, as Big Business instructed him to do so.  Raygun of course also granted amnesty to undocumented people in America, something which modern Republican orthodoxy claims is The Great Replacement Conspiracy and which Republicans have brain-washed their rightwing domestic terrorists to massacre when possible. 

George W(orst POTUS Ever). Bush never saw an American he didn't want working 3 jobs.  Donald John Traitor Trump infamously never paid people who did work for him, including James Comey who won the him the 2016 Election.    

Republicans have long sought to undermine the American worker and reduce the standard of living, and quality of life in America for 90% of society who they deem to lazy and too well-compensated.  Republicans want you hungry and desperate ready to accept any job at any pay with no benefits and no social security or medicare to look forward to;  Republicans want you working by 10 and dead by 65.

Wagner Group Coup Attempt? Republicans worry about Putin's well-being!

Was it all a ruse?  This "Insurrection" launched while Prigozhin was so far from Moscow?  I can only hope President Biden is receiving detailed and  timely information.  And I can't say I see the geo-political benefit to Putin.  Nor how the Attempted Coup solidifies Putin's power.  As his Lieutenants had to work it out without his imprimatur.  

Wisconsin disgrace Ron Johnson, who likes to spend his 4th of July, paying fealty to Vladimir Putin might be considering a resolution to send troops into Russia to help Putin put down the apparent Coup attempt launched by Yevgeny Prigozhin, the head of the paramilitary Wagner group.

This began when Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu, issued a decree that all Paramilitary groups must sign a loyalty oath to the Ministry of Defense by July 1st.  Prigozhin, began this action, by claiming in a nod to Russian history that the Tsar has been deceived and it's up to him to remove the bad bureaucratic elements enriching themselves and betraying Russia!  Wagner group then claimed to have been fired upon by Russian military forces and Prigozhin turned his mercenaries backs towards Russia, seizing Rostov-on-Don and sending advance elements into Voronezh in an obvious attempt to make it to Moscow.  Putin has vowed to destroy this rebellion and thus far at least enough of his shattered military is responding instead of standing aside;

"All those who consciously stood on the path of betrayal, who prepared an armed rebellion, stood on the path of blackmail and terrorist methods, will suffer inevitable punishment, before the law and before our people,"Putin said in a five-minute speech.

Prigozhin seems to have bitten off more than he can Coup, because an attempt like this relies upon speed and not allowing heavy weaponry and military units interfere.  Wagner group has captured some equipment as well so their eventual inability to resupply is not yet a factor but, if they get bogged down or if Putin manages to deploy loyal troops to engage in a protracted skirmish to slow/stop the Wagner group advance it may signal the end of the Coup attempt.  

Also taking a wait and see approach are the rabid Putin loving Reactionaries who for 16 months have declared Ukraine's resistance and US/NATO support of said resistance a monstrous mistake and tantamount to a war crime.  Glenn Greenwald has yet to weigh in on this monumental situation and is silent down in Brazil because he doesn't know who will be signing his checks come tomorrow morning.

It's just so, so ludicrous but conservatives long ago adopted the tactic of Pass all Blame, Take all Credit as their governing Philosophy.  They blamed President Barack Obama for the BP Deep Water Horizon catastrophe, they blamed HRC for Benghazi, the blamed Bill Clinton for 9/11, they blamed Jimmy Carter for the 2007 Republican Housing Bubble and Bank Implosion.

More recently, they blamed President Biden for Afghanistan, a thing no one has cared about since at least Pat Tillman's death in 2004 and really since the criminal invasion of Iraq in early 2003.  Ironically, Dan Crenshaw, the erstwhile "War Hero" whom conservatives turned upon when he tepidly broke with Traitor Trump and the MAGAT Horde, flaccidly tried to pin this on President Biden.

This Oceangategate disaster is directly tied to Libertarian Don't Regulate Me, Bro ethos and a natural by-product of Republicans non-stop effort to make businesses free of any and all constraints.  Republicans and their mutant libertarian off-spring like to claim no business would ever endanger their customers, why that makes no sense!  They'd lose money!  And if, some company did adopt, a murderous business model why the free market would sort that out and put them out of business sooner or later.  No need for government to get involved.

So, I hope those 5 people died quickly as the unregulated, shoddily constructed, non-maintained hull, slip-shod quality control, and laissez-faire approach to deep sea diving spectacularly and quite predictably failed.

Often at work I will order my Starbucks via the app and take my lunch to go to avoid the phenomenon of white people rushing forward to pay for it.  If they offer while I'm in line I kindly thank them and reply I can pay for my coffee but you could donate that couple bucks to the local township food bank.  Sometimes the whitey will get a queer look on their face as though I've denied them their daily affirmation.

“If you were good friends, what were you doing ruling on his case?” said Charles Geyh, an Indiana University law professor and leading expert on recusals. “And if you weren’t good friends, what were you doing accepting this?” referring to the flight on the private jet.

The good Indiana U Law Professor must be an out-of-touch Ivory Tower Professor since he doesn't know that Republicans don't give a fuck about ethical quandary's or the appearance of impropriety.  Like GinniClarence Thomas before him Sam Di Puzzi Elite-O has been enjoying the largesse of Billionaire Plutocrats company and all the trickle down benefits of having rich benefactors.  Their Own Personal Billionaires, as it were...  Like Clarence and the other Mullahs of the Supremacist Court, Sam Elite-O has no qualms of a conflict of interest, concerns of undue influence, or violations of law.  Because

Meanwhile, the Crypto-Fascists Supremacist Injustice continue to undermine the United States and serve the interest of Republicans, Rightwingers, Racists, and Rich Assholes.  Did you happen to see The Elite-O Court struck down Federal protection for Waterways.  The Founding Fathers and following generations set up protection for the Waterways of the United States as "Navigable Waters" and the EPA had quantified this under the Clean Water Protection Act.  Under the EPA legislative authority they fined the Sackett's for backfilling and polluting protected Wetlands.  Well, Rich people don't believe they are subject to laws (As Sammy Elite-O and Paul Singer demonstrated) and they decided they wanted to do as they please and if there is one thing the Supremacist Court is dedicated too, it's to letting Rich People and Corporations do as they please.

So, the Clean Water Act was found to Unconstitutional in the eyes of Elite-O and his fellow untouchable, unelected zealous Supremacist Court Mullahs.  Just like with his leak of the Dobbs decision, Sammy Elite-O is shitting on the American people.  Republicans hate you.  Republicans despise regular Americans.  Republicans want to destroy the Untied States and replace it with a simulacrum of Democracy based on Patriarchy and White Supremacy. 

Ron DeSantis plans to suffocate Democracy and ensconce Fascism (as does every other Republican)

I said long ago, that when law enforcement agencies, Sheriff's departments, big Metropolitan police forces, and your local Officer Friendly were reformed, retrained, or restrained Conservatives would seek to jettison them and create new agencies and empower them to conduct business as usual; i.e. the extrajudicial killing of black people and the ruthless enforcement of a two-tiered justice system which never prosecutes Republicans or rightwingers while bringing the entire weight of the Awesome Power of the State onto anyone who does not help maintain the rigid double standard conservatives have enjoyed since the Founding Fathers wrote the unequal application of Freedom into the Constitution.

You can not use Master's Tools to take down Master's House.  When those tools become "broken" conservatives don't redesign the tool itself but simply replace it 

Remember how angry white people were when President Barblack Oblackma dared to call a white police officer stupid.  Remember how draconian and unconstitutional George W. Bush's Department of Justice acted in spying on Muslims and Anti-War Left groups.  Recall how conservatives freaked out when it was legislated Hispanic immigrants could get Driver's Licenses in Illinois?  Remember how conservatives who all say you can not trust the government implicitly and vociferously accept and defend every single Police kkkilling of black people or even deify white men who choke the life out of black men?

Republicans have received their coordinated talking points that no in reality it's Joe Biden's Department of Justice which has been weaponized and are all on the page of how they will undo this Woke Department of Justice and unhand cuff Our Police.  What Republicans mean is return things to the good old days when Police kept those people in line and were the guard dogs of Plutocracy, White Supremacy and the Patriarchy.

Conservatives have complained for years that "Police" are not hurting the people they are supposed to be hurting.  Republicans are more than willing to feed into this false narrative/belief, that Police have become too woke or have been handcuffed from getting those criminals behind bars.  Only tough on crime Republicans can restore Law&Order.  And that seems to be the main thrust of Ron Phony Bronze Star DeSantis is taking in his quest to win the Presidency.

“We’re not going to let all this power accumulate in Washington, we’re going to break up these agencies,” DeSantis said during a private strategy session over the weekend, excerpts of which were obtained exclusively by RCP. He vowed in that call to order “some of the problematic components of the DOJ” be uprooted, reorganized, and then promptly “shipped to other parts of the country.”

“We’ve seen throughout this country that the DOJ and the FBI are controlled by one faction of our society,” DeSantis said on the call, pointing to how those agencies were “going after pro-life activists,” wrongfully investigating parents at school board meetings “who are concerned about things like critical race theory, and forcing kids to wear masks,” and “colluding with tech companies to censor information such as what they did with the 2020 election.”

I must point out that nothing DeSantis is proposing is in anyway new.  Conservatives absolutely adore the unequal application of laws, and the targeting of people for their ideological beliefs.  What conservatives hate is when they are subject to their own standard.    This is standard Conservative Orthodoxy along with the complaints that starting in the 1960's and accelerating recently the Federal Government isn't doing the job the way it is supposed to.   Conservatives believe "The Law" and all Police Agencies exist to punish people they don't like and look the other way at their own offenses.  No matter what the offense may be.  Observe the absolute ridiculous rightwing defense of the Trump inspired and Republican lead successful attempt to obstruct and delay the transfer of power on January 6th.  That, of course, is merely the largest most obvious example of the double standard conservatives demand from law enforcement.  Conservatives committing crimes aren't actually committing crimes and even if they are committing crimes those who committed crimes should, if they are conservatives, get away with it.
