The Fascist Next Door 5: Twitter is for The Fash

One of the necessary skills Americans need to cultivate is reading gang signs and symbols.  Now, because of the relentless Copaganda campaign from local, state, and federal law enforcement, Americans are conditioned to read the word "gangs" and think blacks and Hispanics.  Also we could blame the 1990's Blood In, Blood Out and South Central but, the gangs which really threaten the United States these days are Rightwing Paramilitary organizations.

And the thing about Rightwingers is they reveal in flashing their gang signs out in the open and having the normies not pick up on it.

Let's start with our Twitter persona pictured here.  This "person" wrote an op-ed on the Liberal Laptop Class rejecting Elon Musk's request they work hard at Twitter.  But, read the nom de'plume, "blue collar guy she/her @metal_gear88".  I am going to interpret this for you; it's a thinly veiled Arbreit Macht Frei Heil Hitler.  Remember, right-wingers giggle and love inside jokes while maintaining a thin veneer of deniability.  Note also the childish addition of she/her for a "blue collar guy" and the GamerGate adjacent reference to Solid Snake (SS?) with the "metal_gear".

So, was it a lack of understanding whom she was sharing or was it purposeful when disreputable, anti-progressive, Corporate Media handmaiden Batya Ungar-Sargon decided to amplify this person's diatribe for Newsweek, a publication which has rapidly descended into anti-worker pathos and apologia for Corporate Bondage.  Batya Ungar-Sargon herself is quite an example of the pampered class of Lügenpresse, who do the work of the Corporate masters, believing their work will spare them from the trains when the time comes for Us.

Musk, himself, is undoubtably Fash Curious and Fash Friendly.  It's been noted that Musk has gone out of his way to respond to Neo-Nazi Twitter accounts, which he doesn't follow, but whose posts he apparently seeks out.  And of course 3 weeks ago, the Neo-Nazis, bigots, and other assorted rightwing trolls immediately began to flood Twitter with their bile, vitriol, hatred, and disinformation.  It's apparent the Twitter accounts flourishing are Crypto-Cons, Neo-Nazis, and bots.

Fascinatingly, this was not only predictable but, predicted by the interesting Englishman Tom Scott in a speech he presented to the Royal Institute in 2019, called there is No Algorithm For Truth.  I've included the presentation for your viewing pleasure; jump to 46:22 for the last third which includes the chapter titled Nazi Bars.  It incorporates the exact trajectory for Twitter under Elon Musk. 

So, as always... get ready.  Get knowledgeable about the symbols and signs around you.  Be prepared because Rightwingers are openly and proudly displaying their ideas and goals.  And those goals are your subjugation or elimination.

Twitter & Crypto

"The reason today's sale of Twitter is big news; the reason it could turn out to be a pivot point in our history..." all you need to know is conservatives are ecstatic about the sale as Tucked in dick Carlson explained on his racist agitprop show.

As everyone knows Elon Musk "bought" Twitter yesterday.  Twitter isn't essential or anything new.  Now, I don't know if Musk, the man who's taken credit for many things he hasn't done, used his leveraged Tesla holdings to make the purchase or spent worthless Cryptocurrency.

Cryptocurrency is a terrible terrible thing.  It's a computer solving puzzles and people declaring it's "MONEY!"  The way it makes actual money by it's holders and/or creators is to convince (scam/fool) people to invest real money when Crypto is high and then laughing as the Crypto craters.  Then those people "buy" it back and resell it when it goes up in "value" again.  Stealing old people's pensions and getting people who are too financially immature or unversed in risk/reward thinking.  Of course, the problem is on an individual level some people will end up with big windfalls, meanwhile society loses out because of the number of investors who make poor choices in the aggregate and the damage computers running 24/7 sucking in huge amounts of power and producing huge amounts of heat*.  But, one of the things which has emerged is the sheer hatred conservatives have for society writ large (a topic for another post). 

It's ironic the 21st Century Billionaires have made their money by manufacturing nothing.  It's all hype as the production is elsewhere.  As manufacturing jobs were sent away from the Nation so was any sense of Noblesse Oblige, obscenely rich men felt towards America and society in general.  Elon Musk's fanboys have always grossly exaggerated his actual contributions.  To be fair Tesla cars did fill a niche that the Big Automakers ignored or moved away from because of the non-stop lies and pressure from rightwingers or the to lucrative Chinese Market.  

But, what will Musk's purchase of Twitter mean?  The reason GETTR, GAB, or Trump Social fail is because there are no liberals on those platforms.  Sure conservatives love getting together to plot assassination attempts on Democratic Governors and Congresspersons but, the constant conservative circle jerk bores them after a while.  What they yearn to do is to insult and threaten Liberals.  To see their most hated enemies scared and upset.  To waste peoples' time.  To get you to engage with them.

Twitter is for the Fash.  So is Fashbook.  So is Youtube, which consistently and forcefully recommends rightwing lies and propaganda.  Techniques for monitoring assholes are far behind the assholes techniques for flooding the zone with shit.  So, Twitter may or may not descend fully into the fascist cesspit that so far it has barely avoided but, conservatives definitely believe their MAGA God will resume his Tweeting and that their violence and harassment of "The Left" shall be able to commence unbound and unimpeded.

Certainly, pyschos like Twitter's wrongest man Alex Berenson, fake physical and real terrorist Simone Gold and all-around loon Naomi Wolf expect to be reinstated to peddle Covid nonsense. Personally, I think Musk bought Twitter to keep people from saying mean (and true) things about him.

The Rittenhouse Diaries: An expected conclusion

There are two main takeaways from today's outrageous but, expected Rittenhouse Trial Verdict.  One the Very On-Line Fascists are gloating and celebrating.  While it is important to monitor them, there is nothing to be gained with interacting with them.  The Fash live for this.  Their goal is to post horrible taunts, murderous dank memes, and outrageous offensive shit to upset you.  If you respond they get further excitement and the mini-endorphin rush of Trolling and #OwningtheLibs which is exactly what they want.  The more upset you are the bigger rush they get.  For your mental well-being do anything else; read a book, rake leaves, go for a hike, have a drink (not too much), pet a dog.  Or if you still want to get involved in local politics or help GoTV.  But, stop engaging with the Fash On-Line; it's pointless they're gone and worse yet, it's bad for you.

This does not mean ignore them.  We can not do that.  Because we are getting closer to the Fascist Inflection Point.

And that's the second takeaway.

Republicans are passing laws and making incremental steps to firmly ensconce the right for them to murder you and get away with it.  Stand Your Ground, Run'Em Down, Self-Defense.  These all set up a subjective, impossible to disprove standard of shoot first, answer questions later if at all.  

The Rittenhouse trial has many warning signs of marching fascism.  Key components of Fascism are the unequal application of laws.  A system of justice where legal legerdemain is more effective than truth or facts.  And one which empowers a paramilitary band of armed thugs to mete out extrajudicial justice through violence. 

Trump empowered the Proud Boys with his "Stand back and Stand by".  Now, Little Mad Nazi Cawthorn is sending the same message with his gleeful, "Be armed, Be Dangerous".  I've been saying for a long time Conservatives want to murder us.  They are yearning to be given the go ahead.  To be granted the right to unleash all their inner demons and kill.  I don't know if this will empower more than a few fringe Ultra Reactionary or Paramilitary types to descend upon protests or begin shooting in street fights in Portland.  But, as Republican Terrorist Paul Gosar fantasy anime illustrates and Kyle Rittenhouse verdict hammers home or the Houston Teen who "Rolled coal" and rolled over 6 bicyclists and got off shows; it appears more and more likely rightwing domestic terrorism is now the gateway to political power.

It's part of the GQP two-pronged approach of violence in the streets and bureaucratic violence in legislatures to ensure they "win" elections even when they don't.  And the next time Democrats clearly win elections and Republicans simply refuse to acknowledge defeat and send out their political goon squads to quash protests through AR-15 rounds... well, Fascism never sleeps.

On Twitter, syphilis addled Donald Trump still inciting violence

Trump is not a smart man but, he does know where his strength lies and how to keep himself popular; by throwing raw racism and hatred to his #MAGAt Horde.

Conservatives long ago tired of the racist dog whistles which satiated their parents, instead they demanded outright racism in their candidates. In 2008, John McCain balked when presented with the opportunity "Obama is an Arab" and in 2012 Mitt Romney considered himself far too genteel to stoop to outright bigotry.

But, not Trump. He's has been a racist bigot since the 1970's and he knows what tune the rubes he's playing want to hear.

Trump supporters have already killed and attempted to kill dozens of people and he's already skirted past the 'won't someone get rid of these meddlesome Democrats' with his tweets. Twitler's latest call to Violence involves a new defamation of Representative Ilhan Omar,

Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) today called on Twitter to take action against President Donald Trump’s account and remove a tweet in which he shared a false claim that Omar had “partied” on the anniversary of the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks. 

“They have a responsibility and they set community standards and clearly the president has shown many-a-times that he has violated their community standards,” she told POLITICO. “I don't even know why his account is not fully suspended — why he's not deplatformed.”

Don't expect Twitter to do anything about it, as a platform Twitter was specifically designed for The Fash, Russian bots and Identity thieves to use.

Trump's Horde is primed for him to outright call for Violence against the Non-#MAGA but, he continues incite the individually unpredictable but statistically predictable acts of Stochastic Terrorism with his syphilis addled tirade sand tweets.
