Kamala Harris is for the American People; while the Corporate Media, Racists, Bigots, Thieves, Traitors, and the Evil Rich are for Trump: Choose Wisely

Kamala Harris is going to win the Presidency.  Hope & Joy & Unity & Freedom surround this DNC and the Democratic Party Presidential ticket; the Corporate Media is furious and are determined to "Gouge" Her to help their Dearly Beloved Trump.

Now, unfortunately we are not living in a 538-Nate Silver simulation wherein Harris/Walz win 624 out of 1000 elections, thus making her the favorite.  Instead we are living in the Republican dominated American electoral system; in which, bad faith actors, villains, and outright Fascists have often seized levers of power and seek to ensure a Trump Victory by hook or by crook.  Harris and Walz are the underdog because all the anti-Democratic apparatus of Government will be turned against them.

But, for right now we are witnessing the sheer panic of the mendacious Media as they try desperately to blunt the momentum and energy surrounding the Harris/Walz campaign and the DNC.  They know they've got to do something to get Dear Leader Trump back into this race because it's trending towards an absolute blowout.

Everything coming from the major media outlets is an attack on Harris and/or Walz.  For instance, The Fucking New York Times has decided to agree with MAGA that not picking Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro is a big Anti-Semitism by Kamala Harris and The Democratic Party.  I'm not going to list the reasons Gov Shapiro should or should not have been the VP pick, I'll just note how much vitriol and attacks Republicans subjected Governor Shapiro (and Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg) to when the I-95 bridge collapsed and how little credit they gave them when it was fixed.

Of course, if Shapiro was the choice, this same writer would have claimed not picking Tim Walz would have been a slap to the Heartland and akin to HRC ignoring Wisconsin and middle aged white guys.

As another example, the Corporate Media has been demanding details about Kamala Harris economic policy and when she mentioned "price gouging" aided Trump in reviving the moldering corpse of Communism (or Kamunism as the witty New York Post put it).  This is despite Trump taking credit as President for lowering the price of Insulin to $35.  Which isn't true since it was President Biden who accomplished this and would be by Traitor Trump's and the rightwing News Media's own definition of "communism".  (Trust the Indefatigable Driftglass to say this best with his post demolishing George Will) 

Meanwhile, Trump is never asked for any details of how he's going to accomplish his Economic policies.  The Corporate Media always, always, always pretends that Republican statements are the equivalent of actual policy achievements.  Trump spews some bullshit and caps it with I'll make American Economy Great Again and Kamala Harris will institute full communism immediately if not sooner and with over 100% of jobs going to migrants and blah blah blah blah blah blah

Meanwhile,  Draft Dodger Traitor Trump continues to shit all over Medal of Honor recipients and Veterans repeatedly and not only is this not a daily news story, it isn't even referenced.  Remember Trump doubles down on his lies and insults and this is strength to the Corporate Media.

The Corporate Media's job is to undercut Democratic candidates and to gloss over, excuse, and ignore Republican perfidy.  They are so in the tank for ugly weird DonOld Trump it's embarrassing but, thankfully Kamala Harris was well aware of the Media yearning for Trump and had everything ready to go that first day to fight this fight against not only the Treasonous Republicans but, their willing accomplices in the Corporate Media.

There's not much any of us can do (once you've cancelled your subscription you really can't cancel it again) to stop this shameful mistreatment and biased coverage of Harris in favor of ugly weirdo Trump;  the Corporate Media has made it crystal-fucking-clear they will not hold him to any standard (let alone the one they held President Biden and soon-to-be President Harris to) and they've made it abundantly obvious they intend to do everything they can to carry Trump back into the White House.

 

The Corporate Media knew they were going to have to help their Dear dear dear Leader Trump back into the White House they just didn't expect to have to do so much work and they are really angry.  It's out job to keep Corporate Media, racist white supremacists, and Elon Muck angry and bitter over another defeat of their chosen one.

The Fascist Next Door 5: Twitter is for The Fash

One of the necessary skills Americans need to cultivate is reading gang signs and symbols.  Now, because of the relentless Copaganda campaign from local, state, and federal law enforcement, Americans are conditioned to read the word "gangs" and think blacks and Hispanics.  Also we could blame the 1990's Blood In, Blood Out and South Central but, the gangs which really threaten the United States these days are Rightwing Paramilitary organizations.

And the thing about Rightwingers is they reveal in flashing their gang signs out in the open and having the normies not pick up on it.

Let's start with our Twitter persona pictured here.  This "person" wrote an op-ed on the Liberal Laptop Class rejecting Elon Musk's request they work hard at Twitter.  But, read the nom de'plume, "blue collar guy she/her @metal_gear88".  I am going to interpret this for you; it's a thinly veiled Arbreit Macht Frei Heil Hitler.  Remember, right-wingers giggle and love inside jokes while maintaining a thin veneer of deniability.  Note also the childish addition of she/her for a "blue collar guy" and the GamerGate adjacent reference to Solid Snake (SS?) with the "metal_gear".

So, was it a lack of understanding whom she was sharing or was it purposeful when disreputable, anti-progressive, Corporate Media handmaiden Batya Ungar-Sargon decided to amplify this person's diatribe for Newsweek, a publication which has rapidly descended into anti-worker pathos and apologia for Corporate Bondage.  Batya Ungar-Sargon herself is quite an example of the pampered class of Lügenpresse, who do the work of the Corporate masters, believing their work will spare them from the trains when the time comes for Us.

Musk, himself, is undoubtably Fash Curious and Fash Friendly.  It's been noted that Musk has gone out of his way to respond to Neo-Nazi Twitter accounts, which he doesn't follow, but whose posts he apparently seeks out.  And of course 3 weeks ago, the Neo-Nazis, bigots, and other assorted rightwing trolls immediately began to flood Twitter with their bile, vitriol, hatred, and disinformation.  It's apparent the Twitter accounts flourishing are Crypto-Cons, Neo-Nazis, and bots.

Fascinatingly, this was not only predictable but, predicted by the interesting Englishman Tom Scott in a speech he presented to the Royal Institute in 2019, called there is No Algorithm For Truth.  I've included the presentation for your viewing pleasure; jump to 46:22 for the last third which includes the chapter titled Nazi Bars.  It incorporates the exact trajectory for Twitter under Elon Musk. 

So, as always... get ready.  Get knowledgeable about the symbols and signs around you.  Be prepared because Rightwingers are openly and proudly displaying their ideas and goals.  And those goals are your subjugation or elimination.

The Fascists Next Door 3: Oathcrappers? Loafmakers? Oathbreakers? Oathcreepers?

Certainly, not Oathkeepers.

In the Fascist word play amongst the American Right, if conservatives say they are Real America or call themselves patriots they ipso facto are, the same way that smug flabby elitist Ted Cruz spits on Starbucks baristas while he labels the GQP the party of the working class.  Corporate media allows rightwing declarations to count more than rightwing actions. 

A mistake "The Left" made in response to the Reactionary pushback to the Civil Rights was to allow Fascists to stake claim to piety, patriotism, and service to the Nation.

I understand why these things happened.  Ronnie Raygun waved the flag whilst Lee Greenwood belched proud to be 'Murican and the impious Evangelicals co-opted Christianity.  

"We" never should have ceded these things to the Fascist Republican Party.  Conservatives, don't actually exhibit any of these characteristics.  In fact, conservatives are impious, jingoistic, chickenhawks who routinely shit on Veterans, piss on those serving the Nation, and seek to overthrow the Rule of Law to install a Neo-Confederate slave state.

Hence, the Oafkeepers.  A Rightwing Paramilitary Domestic Terrorist organization that, like all fascists, cloak themselves in an undeserved and an unearned mantle of patriotism, duty, and loyalty.

Like, all terrorist organizations they unrighteously declared others Oathbreakers even as they committed crimes.  Even as multiple members stormed the Capitol on Jan6th, and others waited outside DC to assassinate Democratic Representatives.

Well, like all fascist terrorist groups convinced of their righteousness, they've decided to subvert the democratic process by infiltrating various governmental bodies and poisoning them from within; Excerpts from the state-by-state interactive map:

The membership data provides unique insight into the people who signed up and paid dues to the organization over the years and helps illuminate the extent to which the group’s anti-government ideology has permeated mainstream society.

A review of these membership lists revealed that while there are many members of law enforcement, military, and first responders in the membership rolls, there are also elected officials, government employees, teachers, religious figures, and businessmen, among others. 

As of August 8, 2022, COE has identified 373 individuals in the Oath Keepers database who we believe are currently serving in law enforcement agencies across the country. 

Fascists are getting very comfortable openly espousing their rhetoric. Openly displaying the badges of their paramilitary terrorist groups. Get knowledgeable about them. Get ready to track and identify them instantly on sight because they are ready for that order from Republicans to round-up and eliminate the Non-MAGA.

That being said, this remains a moment for peak vigilance. Beyond the hordes of right-wing keyboard warriors, there remain white nationalists waiting to prove themselves in the streets.

The Fascists Next Door 2: Indiana Terminates Women's Health. Republicans empower Death Panels for Women.

The Republican dominated Indiana State Legislature told women in Indiana they should lay back and think of Corn as they dictated a complete ban on abortion services in the State.  As with all authoritarian dictates the Republicans are decreeing this was passed in legislature by a handful of people in total contrast to what Americans and Indiana residents want.

Of course, as the reality of these abortion bans becomes more clear (the 10 year old rape victim from Ohio fled to Indiana to save her life and receive care from Doctor Caitlin Bernard) conservatives are going to revert to their shell game so keenly elucidated by Elizabeth Hasselbeck on The View a few days ago when she simply declared ending Ectopic Pregnancies are not "Abortions".  They are going to pretend these procedures aren't abortions.

Or... maybe not...  James Bopp, who wrote a more extreme version of the law just passed by 28 Republicans, believes the 10 year old rape victim and indeed all child rape victims should be forced by the state to give birth.  Most likely, Republicans are going to let their draconian dictates, cost a few women their lives, cost thousands of women their futures, cause non-stop consternation amongst Hospital administrators, and frighten Doctors into silent compliance.  Because that's what Fascists do.  They dictate and let You suffer the consequences.

"Not her body. Not her choice." - Republican John Jacob of Indiana who wanted there to be no exceptions.  Because as he said during floor debate, "Trying to end all abortion is not forced birth, but rather it is trying to end murdering children."  What a horrid human.  What an unrighteous liar.  What a fascist.

Of course, fetuses are not children.  There is no "heartbeat" at 6 weeks.  But, the Fascists next door, and elsewhere feel completely in power to deny women medical care and force women to be naught but incubators even if and especially if it will kill them.  And remember even in "normal pregnancies" women suffer ill effects, medical complications, incredible strep upon their bodies, and post-birth physical ailments, without even considering the more heart-wrenching unviable or fatal complications.

During the Indiana Legislature floor debate this week, Republican J. Michael Davisson stated on the floor that all women should be forced by the state to carry unviable and dead fetuses to term, ""[None] of us are guaranteed tomorrow. We must accept death as a consequence of life." 

The cruelty and death are the point.  The Republican Death Panels are here and they are spreading as fast as the Fascists can move.  Vote and Act like you life depends on it, because it does.
