Happy easter Lee Greenwood! There's NO god to Bless the U.S.A.

God Bless the U.S.A. was written by Lee Greenwood. It's his intellectual property. So it's fair he's mad that Stall Brook Elementary in Bellingham, Massachutes wanted to change the lyrics of the song to "We Love the U.S.A." for an April 12th assembly.

Greenwood made a statement, "Maybe the school should have asked the parents their thoughts before changing the lyrics to the song," Lee says. "They could have even asked the writer of the song, which I of course would have said you can't change the lyrics at all or any part of the song. The most important word in the whole piece of music is the word God, which is also in the title 'God Bless the USA.'

"We can't take God out of the song, we can't take God out of the Pledge of Allegiance, we can't take God off of the American currency," he continues. "Let us also remember, the phrase 'God Bless the USA' has a very important meaning for those in the military and their families, as well as new citizens coming to our country."

First off, beyond his jingoistic, schmaltzy, patronizing songs Lee Greenwood has no other intellectual property because he is riddled with a David Barton understanding of American History.

Barton, is famous for being the go-to-historian of conservatives when they want someone to make up a historical "fact" which coincides with a current position of the Right-Wingers. For instance, Barton proclaimed, "As far as the Founding Fathers were concerned, they’d already had the entire debate over creation and evolution, and you get Thomas Paine, who is the least religious Founding Father, saying you’ve got to teach Creation science in the classroom. Scientific method demands that!"

Yes! A full 70 years before the publication of On the Origin of Species and 40 years before Darwin sailed on the HMS Beagle, the Founders rejected evolution. Even the Lamarackian Evolutionary Theory wasn't published until 1809, the year Thomas Paine died and Charles Darwin was born. I could be charitable and say perhaps Barton wants to claim the Founders were knowledgable of the Taxonomical classifications of Carl Linnaeus, but, that's not what Barton means because David Barton is liar for christ.

As for Greenwood's statements about god and the currency and the Pledge, well, the blight of the Dominionist liars for christ strikes again.

Written in 1892, the original pledge is I pledge allegiance to my Flag and the Republic for which it stands, one nation indivisible, with liberty and justice for all. Hmmmm, looking for god in there... In fact, god wasn't added until 1954.

Paper Currency did not have In god We Trust, until 1957.

Greenwood is a classic Republican, he reimagines American history to fit his blinkered Right-Wing fantasies, he's been married 4 times, and while he talks tough and proud about the American military he dodged the service and Vietnam.

But, hey conservatism isn't concerned with truth but, with a continuously bizarre parade of performance art designed to rouse the limbic systems of the faithful.

Time to reclaim the name! I stand with Rush!

The Canadian Prog-Rock Supergroup RUSH!

The members of Rush through their attorney at The Anthem Entertainment Group have issued a cease and desist order to Racist Limpballs so that he never taints their music by having it associated with his misogynistic shit show ever again.

Thanks to the Bob Cesca Awesome Blog! Go! From the Order:
According to media reports, Rush Limbaugh, Premiere Radio Networks and The Rush Limbaugh Show have been using Rush's recorded music as part of what is essentially a political broadcast.

The use of Rush's music in this way is an infringement of Rush's copyrights and trademarks. The public performance of Rush's music is not licensed for political purposes and any such use is in breach of public performance licenses and constitutes copyright infringement. There are civil and criminal remedies for copyright infringement, including statutory damages and fines.

In addition, the use of Rush's music in this manner implies an endorsement of the views expressed and products advertised on the show, and is in breach of not only copyright and trademark rights, but also, of section 51 of the New York Civil Rights Law (excerpt attached).

Accordingly, we hereby demand that you immediately stop all use of Rush's music and confirm that you will do so.
This follows a well worn path trod by Right-Wingers.

Conservatives are mental midgets and constantly resort to thievery of intellectual property to cover their deficiencies. It happens over and over and over. A Conservative ass-clown appropriates the intellectual property of an artist without permission and then ignores the just demands of that artist to stop stealing. It just goes to show how the conservative claims to staunchly support property rights is a bunch of right-wing bullshit.

Michele Bachmann continually swiped Tom Petty's American Girl apparently just by the title not actually from listening to the content of the song.

Just this week, Newtradamus Gingrich demanded a Federal Judge toss out a lawsuit against him from Frank Sullivan the writer of Eye of the Tiger. If the Judge refuses to make the decision Gingrich wants, he has vowed to send the U.S. Capital Police to arrest him.

But, King Thief Ronnie Raygun famously stole from both John Cougar Mellencamp and Bruce Springsteen.

I can understand why conservatives consistently steal the music of Liberal musicians for their theme songs. When was the last time Ted Nugent produced anything musically significant? Republicans are petty thieves and Vultures, creatures unable to craft anything of value on their own and existing only by stealing.

Newt Gingrich demands Judge dismiss Lawsuit against him

Newtradamus hate Judges unless they do his bidding! Newt is a despicable Republican but I repeat myself.
Republican presidential candidate Newt Gingrich has asked a federal judge to dismiss a lawsuit filed against him for allegedly violating copyrights by playing “Eye of the Tiger” at campaign events.

The federal lawsuit filed recently by Rude Music Inc. contends Gingrich has used the song since 2009 to herald his arrival at public events.

The lawsuit asks for an injunction to prevent Gingrich from using the song, as well as damages and attorneys' fees.
Stealing the intellectual property of others is a classic Republican move. Mainly, because Republicans lack the necessary brain matter to create intellectual property. But, when asked and told to stop stealing the property of others Republicans act as they always do, they keep on stealing.

So, the same Newt who said repeatedly,
"The courts have been trying to impose an elitist value system on a country that is inherently not elitist.”
now wants a Federal Judge to dismiss a lawsuit against him.

This really illustrates the absolute lack of character and principle of Newt Gingrich. Because in December of last year, Newtradamus declared he foresaw a future were President Gingrich would send the U.S. Capitol Police or U.S. Marshals to arrest judges and force them to testify before his Tribunal if they made decisions disagreeable to Gingrich. He would then remove the judges based solely on their rulings. Newtradamus even went so far as saying as President he might ignore a Supreme Court ruling if it held gays and lesbians had the right to marry.

To call Newt Gingrich a hypocrite is unfair because people might get the idea that Gingrich actually possessed principles in the first place. The only principle Gingrich cares about is what can make him the most money.

But, it shows that as Michele Bachmann might say, Gingrich "has a lot of choots-pah." While, Newtradamus remains the ignorant conservative's ideal of a smart man because Newt's Judge Removal Plan is at odds with the US Constitution, the document Right-Wingers supposedly revere.
