The Los Angeles Dodgers defeated the Evil Empire State Yankees in 5 games to win the 2024 World Series Championship.  Hopefully, after the two jerk-ass jabroni Yankees fans conducted themselves like all Yankees fans everywhere in Game 4 we can see the Yankees be afflicted with the Curse of the Jabronis.

I suppose this was the best outcome of a bad situation.  I hate both franchises because they represent everything wrong with the modern game.  Money is Everything.  

And don't let anyone tell you differently.  Both the Dodgers and Yankees sign away baseball's best players to massive contracts, thus undercutting the whole concept of the sporting ensuring other teams don't really have a chance to win.

No small market team or teams which draft, develop, mold, and build a stable of great players slowly has a chance to win anymore.  Those players get purloined by the big market teams which then amass a stable of other teams players and thus continue to win the Titles.

Baseball doesn't want to address this of course, because it's way better if the Yankees and Dodgers are in the Playoffs and way better to have the big fan base teams drawing viewership to various platforms so that MLB can continue to extract Billions (Yes that's Billions) from TV, streaming, and other media platforms.

ESPN, Fox and TNT are paying a combined $12 billion over seven years, ending in 2028. Apple has a separate seven-year deal, running through 2029 and worth a total of $595 million. Roku’s newly inaugurated Sunday afternoon games are worth $10 million per season to MLB.

Fox has the World Series rights until the end of this deal, and has seen 3 of the lowest viewership numbers in Baseball history since the Covid 2020 season.  So, having Shohei Ohtani in LA and thus making having the Japanese audience highly interested is unsurprising.

But, as the Dodgers celebrate their championship, the first without the presence of legendary broadcaster Vin Scully, let us remember the last time the Dodgers won the Series in 2020, treasonous King of the Weirdos and peerless Jabroni Trump was defeated in the Presidential Election.  

While, history doesn't repeat it does rhyme and Two-Time Loser Trump works in 2024.

Let's pause right here.  I've been out of the Corps for 20 years, having done 5 years active duty including deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan.  But, even when I was in it was no longer Ronnie Raygun's military,  and the kids in the military now, are by far more progressive than my generation who saw the end of DADT.  And in 2020, Veterans and active duty service members voted for Joe Biden over Donald Trump.  President Biden pointed this out in the first debate but, remember Trump said No Way!

Understand conservatives have been living in their epistemological bubble, listening to and regurgitating the same rightwing propaganda for so long, they can no longer accept reality;

Also let's be a bit pedantic for a moment.  Rightwingers on Twitter (X) adopted the Republican Switfboat attack on Vice President Tim Walz because of a video saying he carried weapons of war,  Just Dishonorable Vance slandered Walz by demanding to know wha War he carried them in?  So... let's go down one of two paths;  

1. J.D. Vance did not serve during a "WAR", because no American has since 1945.  The last declared War was World War 2.  Operation Iraqi Freedom was not a War, it was an authorized use of military force.  Congress and President's do this for the last 80 years because it allows them to side-step so many pesky laws and political hurdles, as well as UN sanctions.
2. Iraq, Afghanistan, and all the smaller military actions (MOOTW) fall under the umbrella of the Global War on Terror.  This can be traced to the George W. Bush ignoring the August 6th 2001 memo warning of Bin Laden's plan to attack the United States which resulted in the attacks on the NYC Twin Towers, Pentagon, and the field in Pennsylvania from the Heroes of Flight 93 can be calculated to fall under the timeframe of the most recent National Defense Service Medal, which was put into effect from 09/11/01 to 12/31/22, having just been closed.  So by that metric, Walz did in fact, serve during a time of War.

When a candidate to serve as our military’s commander-in-chief so brazenly dismisses the valor and reverence symbolized by the Medal of Honor and those who have earned it, I must question whether they would discharge their responsibilities to our men and women in uniform with the seriousness and discernment necessary for such a powerful position. It is even more disappointing when these comments come from a man who already served in this noble office and should frankly already know better.

And last week "J.D. Vance" proudly told a MAGA crowd while his wife isn't white, she's a good mother but, don't worry Vance is a shithead to his "mixed race" children as he posted a video of himself telling his son to shut the hell up about Pikachu for 30 seconds because he's on the phone with a DonOld Traitor Trump.  I can not believe these poor kids are going to have to grow up knowing the people whom their father idolizes think they are garbage.  What a weird mean thing to do to your son, especially for the King of the Weirdos.

Now, to reactionary white males huffing each others farts and reposting the same sexist memes about Vice President Kamala Harris this is a devastating attack and fits in with their blinkered weird worldview in which they are the final arbiters of other people lives, backgrounds, and rights.  But, to regular Americans it's gross and weird.

But, for Trump its' a rallying cry for his base of gross, weird, sexist, disgusting white men and a way for him to steal some attention off of the surging Kamala Harris candidacy.  And equally disgusting will be the Corporate Media response which will cover this latest Trump scandal without actually calling him the gross, weird, racist he is or for Trump to withdraw from the race.

Kamala Harris is going to win the Presidential election by 10 Million votes but weirdo Republicans aren't worried about losing the Vote as they plan to simply declare Trump the Winner.  I'm guessing this will somehow involve the Independent State Legislature theory and all the traitors that have been placed into key government positions to subvert the election and conduct a bureaucratic coup d'etat.

I really hope people inside the Biden Administration are planning for this contingency because it's a far greater threat than actual street-level violence form MAGA domestic terrorists.  Coups succeed because 99.9% of military and law enforcement does not get involved in the actual attempt to overthrow a government.

Louisiana Republican weirdo John Kennedy is a creepy phony foghorn leghorn, who spent an entire Faux News interview calling soon-to-be President Kamala Harris names.  Faux News journalist Neil Cavuto tried over and over and over again to steer weirdo Kennedy into not making personal sexist and insulting racist attacks against Vice President Harris and he could not do it.  None of them can because Republicans are weirdos.

What's really telling is as the Republicans are weird is taking hold  and the Harris campaign gains traction erstwhile liberals and journalists are all of a sudden worried about bullying and name-calling and concern trolling that calling Republicans weird is wrong.  It is precisely because Republicans are weird and pointing it out makes the Corporate Media uncomfortable because it shows how their bothsides bullshit and water-carrying for weirdo Republicans was done to help creepy weirdo bigoted Republicans get elected.

So, don't expect The Corporate Media to call for Trump's immediate resignation and just watch as they massage, rationalize, deflect, and continue taking him neither literally or seriously.
