"We have got this tailspin of culture, in our inner cities in particular, of men not working and just generations of men not even thinking about working or learning the value and the culture of work, and so there is a real culture problem here that has to be dealt with." - Republican Congressman Paul90X Ryan laments the good old days when men like him could teach generations of inner-city men the culture of work.
Republicans, of course, don't want to raise the minimum wage they want to lower it.
Senator Tom Coburn took to MSNBC's Morning Joke to call raising the Minimum Wage, "Malarkey", complaining the "benefit is small, the cost of lost jobs is great, it goes against free market principles." He then blamed President Obama's lack of leadership, the newest whine from the punk ass bitch Republican Party.
Senator Coburn proudly proclaimed "I don’t believe there ought to be a national minimum wage!" Because "I don’t believe you ought to interfere in the market!"
Coburn may view the benefit of a less than $3.00 USC raise in the minimum wage as small from his high perch in the bosom of bureaucratic largesse but, to millions of Americans this would have meant more time with family, more quality food choices and the the ability to purchase of basic medications.
But, then again with his yammering about Obamacare it's clear that Senator Coburn doesn't want Poor People to have medical care at all. But, Coburn's rhetoric is the Cry of the Plutocracy, raising the minimum wage will cost jobs! Of course, the Rich don't want to pay for labor; they became Rich by figuring out how to pay as little as possible for the productive labor of others stealing the surplus for themselves.
Now, while the Republican Party is busy working to re-enshrine Slavery into Law they can at least rest knowing the majority of conservatives and libertarians are with them. Republicans need not fear the epithet RINO when they push to punish the poor or eliminate the middle class. These are the goals of every Right-Winger in America.
Right-Wing activists are prized by the Plutocracy because they are willing and eager to sell their fellow Americans into Slavery.
However, it's one thing for Congressman Paul90X Ryan to lament the lack of work ethic by lazy inner-city males but the 1% also recognize the necessity of having hip against-the-grain thinkers to bolster their unceasing`l drive to impose Brutal Neo-Feudalism on this Nation.
Gillespie understands that young unskilled inner-city black kids should have the Freedom to work for Nothing in order to build the "skills" necessary so that one day they too may own the Los Angeles Clippers!
While Gillespie is a little more than a paid lap dog of the Rich, Libertarians are overwhelmingly young white males, the vast majority of whom believe that no woman should ever get an abortion and who couldn't care less about issues facing women or minorities. To their doom Libertarians can not envision a day when the Corporate Plutocracy they serve treats them the same way it treats women and minorities.
However, it appears the main reason Republicans, Libertarians, and Conservatives seem to be against raising the minimum wage is because they do not believe the Poor are Human Beings.
Reactionary puke Doctor Annette Bosworth, running as a Republican for the Senate seat in South Dakota, took to her Facebook Account to post poor people are like wild animals dependent on handouts and unable to take care of themselves. A sickening creed which ended with This Concludes Today's Lesson. Any Questions?
This isn't the first time a Republican has dehumanized the Poor nor is it the first time a Republican has equated Poor People with animals.
Republicans, Libertarians and Conservatives are wholly owned by the 1%. Their Owners have tasked them to: Crush the Working Class, fasten upon them the chains of Corporate Bondage, and usher in the Neo-Feudalist Wage Slave State.

The choice is to have business pay the full cost of labor by increasing the minimum wage or have you and I with our taxes pay through welfare and other public assistance programs. For example, employees of Walmart collected $2 billion in public assistance while Walmart made $17 billion in profits. That $2 billion came from us so that Walmart could make an extra $2 billion in profits.
The choice is increase the minimum wage or let our taxes go to subsidizing business profits.
And "we" aren't making the choice. Instead what's happening is Republicans are facilitating a direct transfer of wealth from the 99% to 1%.
They want the Postal Pensions, "And the Post Office actually has some real assets. They have real estate, they have an overfunded pension fund..." Steve Forbes January 2014
They want the Social Security "invested" in Wall Street where Capitalist Vultures, Wealth Mismanagers, and Hedge Fund Thieves can slowly clip it, whittle at it with fees and payouts until it's all transferred to the Cayman Islands bank accounts of a Mitt Romney or Paul E. Singer or Stephen Schwarzman.
And as to the Middle Class, the goal for the Republicans has always been to eliminate them through Government actions (the Paul Ryan and Mitt Romney Federal Tax Plan raised taxes on the Middle Class and Working Class, Sam Brownback's tax plan in Kansas eliminated taxes on Business and raised them on the middle class) and Pension Theft.
And yesterday Moody's downgraded Kansas credit rating. The state will now have to pay more to borrow. Moody's sited reduced tax revenue, poor planning, and take over and robbing the turnpike of it's cash. Plus the state is in last place in virtually all economic measurements compared to the 7 surrounding states it's normally compared to. And today, they are trying for the 4th time in 2 years to kill wind energy, 13,000 jobs, they want to kill it.
Couldn't help laughing at "Paul Ryan" and "inner city" in the same sentence. That little Peewee Herman lookalike wouldn't last 2 minutes in a ghetto environment.
I wonder what Tom Coburn's "market-based" salary would be if he wasn't guaranteed a huge taxpayer-financed income.
Having never worked for minimum wage can someone here who does work for minimum wage tell me why they do?
I'm nowhere near being in the 1% but I don't understand why anyone would work for less than what they think they are worth.
If you work for minimum wage why do you think your work deserves a pay raise? If your work is really worth more than you are getting paid for it why not move to another job that pays what you consider a fair wage for your labor?
