When you stare too long into the Reflecting Pool...

"It is legitimate! I saw it!  I was there.  I saw it all!"

So, once again the United States is getting a lesson about Donnie's slap-dash, slip-shod, shit-ass building methods which New Yorkers knew decades ago. 

Traitor trump, besides being a rapist thief, who is undermining the United States, destroying Law&Order, robbing the U.S. Treasury and unraveling the Constitution and undoing 250 years of Americans trying to make the United States a more perfect Union, is also a cheap and tawdry mafioso-style construction conman.

So, everyone now knows the sleazy Donald gave a no-bid contract to his cartoonishly scummy neighbor who proceeded to do such a shoddy and stupid non-environmentally sound job that within weeks of coating the bottom of the pool in polyurethane liner the reflecting pool started to turn into a fetid swamp.  So, as he fucks America over again traitor trump turned to his ultimate defense lying.

But, it really should be a bigger story the President of the United States is a shameless unabashed liar;

“I saw it. They cut it. They cut it very violently," Trump said. "The same thing with the floor. They cut it and then they lifted it. They pulled it. And that's what it is.”

There are several things at play here;

1. First, the reason Traitor trump has latched onto this claim of someone cutting the coating is during one of his inane press conferences in May he went on one of his rambling verbal weaves in which he claimed the paint job was too manly and too tough to cut with a knife.  So, the idea of his pool being damaged by being cut is deeply rooted in his narcissists brain, and once Donnie Dumbass has some idea in there, he clings to it and no amount of proof or impossibility will dislodge it from his emotionally dysregulated brain.
2. Because his claim someone cut the coating on the floor of the Reflecting Pool is absolutely impossible.  It is not a thing to be cut with a "box cutter" or linoleum knife.  Nor could someone wade into the pool and casually slice it for hundreds of feet.  But, in trumpian fashion, as he always does his lie about the vandalism grew first from a 250 foot gash then a few days later to 300 feet and finally to 350 foot long cut coupled with dumping some pollutants into the pool.  The truth is the polyurethane coating was not the correct material for the Reflecting Pool but for Donnie Don't Care his gauche and gaudy Casino conman ideal of a classy is a chemically saturated crystal clear pool to overawe the rubes.  But, this doesn't matter to the MAGA base because trump knows all he has to say is he did a perfect and great job and conservatives gleefully nod along.
3. Traitor trump's cult absolutely believes his fact-free claims that "vandals" damaged the Reflecting Pool.  And if you think this can absolutely not be true, then understand what does MAGA claiming to believe it's true give them license to do?  Traitor trump's order to arrest of innocent people and accuse them of damaging the Reflecting Pool show you what he, his criminal cabal, and conservatives yearn to do writ large.
4. Donnie Dumbass, found out President Obama had overseen a renovation of the Reflecting Pool so when Donnie announced the Reflecting Pool contract he peppered it will all his phrases of faux masculinity, and used it as a way to slander President Obama (this is how he slyly calls President Obama the N-word).  When things went badly as they always do since everything traitor trump touches turns to shit Donnie turned to the MAGA 3-step,
5. One) Take All Credit (especially for things you didn't do, Two) Pass All Blame (especially for things you did do), Three) Declare Greatness (or victory in Iran).

Historically, when a body of water defied an absolute ruler that ruler had the water whipped for insolence. But, Donnie knows he can whip President Obama for trump's failures and lies and white people in America will greedily agree.  Just ignore trump's giant bulk being driven across the drained reflecting pool because he can't walk 2000 feet.

But understand MAGA is just a variation on time-worn fascism. Fascists inherit a working bureaucracy and then run it into the ground via thievery and appointing partisan ideologues, grifting con-artists, and imbecilic yes-men. And when things don't work out? Why you just erect drapes and fences to hide the damage you've done, place armed guards around the area to imitate and arrest innocent people, and ignore environmental laws and just dump the hydrogen peroxide laden algae pool water straight into the sewer. After all who is going to cite the Traitor trump administration for that violation the EPA?

Just as with his Iran debacle, his gestapho goons at ICE violating the Constitution, brutalizing innocent people and murdering Americans, we are witnessing Traitor trump's conflict with reality. And when reality doesn't conform with his lies, he invents whole easily disprovable fables, and massive conspiracies (like Antifa) and lies constantly. But, since most Americans are removed from he immediate impact of his lies, fables, and failures they can go along with his bullshit and after all there's always lying MAGA sycophants, rightwing propaganda outlets and their social media algorithms to assure them this is Biden or Obama's fault.
