Touchdown! Execute Taylor Swift? Conservatives hate Women and Football...

They're only so much rightwing garbage I or anyone can keep up with but, occasionally something are just too ridiculous or too vile to ignore, especially as the desired end result of inflammatory rightwing rhetoric is murder.

So, my Chicago Bears are currently the worst franchise in football.  I say this because the Chicago Bears are supposedly a storied franchise but, have been unable to adapt to modern football or even develop any modicum of sustained success.  The highpoint for the Bears in the last 25 years was the Devin Hester, Super Bowl Kickoff for a Touchdown in 2006.  Since then it has been a steady decline into ridiculous irrelevance and sub-par mediocrity, defeat, and fanbase misery.  Punctuated by comical losses (the Double Doink playoff loss in 2018) and soul-crushing insults like last year when Aaron "Torn Tendon" Rodgers declared, "I still Own You!" while beating the Bears, yet again.

So as the Kansas City Chiefs, led by transcendent QB talent Patrick Mahomes (whom the Bears passed on in the draft), were crushing the Bears 41-0, Taylor Swift was seen in the KC private box as a guest of TE Travis Kelce.  Mahomes said afterwards he didn't believe Kelce had invited Taylor Swift to the game, but said meeting her was cool, 

"Yea I met her. She's really cool. Good people.  But like Trav said, imma let them have their privacy and just keep it moving."

Pencil-dicked conservatives latched onto Taylor Swift a few years back, about the time Kanye jumped on stage and interrupted her, as their ideal woman; the überfrau.  Since then conservatives have fallen into love with Kanye and out of love with Taylor and her army of Swifties.  You see rightwing men saw the 6 foot tall Swift as their Nazi Goddess and got big boners thinking about how they could impregnate her with their seed and build the master race.  But, Taylor Swift, like most women, want nothing to do with the  MAGA Republicans. Even worse Swift is galvanizing her Swifties into an engaged voting bloc.

So, you know what happens next.  The juvenile rightwing brain immediately switches to hating that bitch, declaring her music sucks, and she's stupid, and ugly, and gay... oh and she should be executed.  You see conservatives loathe women and wish to enslave or murder them.  This is a great amount of the subtext of the rightwing gun fondling and displays.  Of course, the majority of guns are used to kill the gun owner after he has murdered his so-called loved ones and family members.

Stew Peters had a whole segment on his "show" about Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce.  Besides declaring Kelce is the new Colin Kapernick, Peters stated 

"This is a strong point in favor of the rumors that Taylor Swift is actually a lesbian or even asexual because with a history like that and all these death jabs, it's pretty clear Kelce has no dick," 

Peters declared Kelce sold out to Pfizer and is complicit in the murder of babies so his guest on the show, pyscho fundamentalist fanatic, Morgan Ariel added, 

 
"I think that we need justice in this country.  I think the celebrities that are pushing it, they should be tried. I think these people should be publicly prosecuted and hung."

You know what happens next, rightwing trolls and Russian bots on every social media platform amplify and expand the reach of these calls for Taylor Swift's murder, while the odious YouTube algorithm continually recommends rightwing influencers.  Republicans and law enforcement ignore it but, agree that something should be done about these baby-killers and death jabbers.  Some triggered right-winger takes it to heart and kills people and Republicans and Rightwingers offer up their Thoughts & Prayers and ask how this can happen and then go on to demonize someone else who is outside the MAGA circle.

Republicans hate America 3 (And they can't Govern): Shut it down and hurt people

"I voted for him [Trump], and he’s the one who’s doing this,” Crystal Mintnotof Marianna, Florida told FTFNYT Reporter Patricia Mazzei. “I thought he was going to do good things. He’s not hurting the people he needs to be hurting.”

Back during the last Republican Government Shutdown, the Corporate Media was very interested in What Trump Voters Think, and what they thought then as well as now, is the Republican Party needs to be hurting those people.  Fortunately, or perhaps unfortunately besides viscerally hating America,  Republicans also can not govern in any way, sense, or form.

Perhaps this should be obvious, that a Political party, the GQP, wedded to domestic terrorism, which proffers lies and conspiracies, and wishes to destroy the Nation, would also lack the will, skill, ability, or desire to keep a Nation going.

But, that's Republicans for you; a fully-fascist, fundamentally unserious, collection of thieves, scoundrels, bigots, villains and traitors.

Essentially,  Republicans seek to make your quality of life worse in every... single... conceivable... way.  Whether this means undermining your Union, stealing social security, inculcating bigotry against you, passing laws to deny you your bodily autonomy, helping to flood the nation with firearms, or actively empowering insurrectionists and mass shooters, Republicans will do whatever they can to harm you and your loved ones.

So, in classic maneuver to fuck over the American People another Republican shutdown is here.  And predictably, the Republican Squeaker has proposed a budget which guts the already meager Social Safety net while also advancing every hare-brained and vile Republican bigotry knowing a Democratic President will Veto it, if it somehow passes through the slender Democratic Senate control.  At which point Squeaker of the House Qevin McCarthy will go on tv and declare Democrats have shut down the government hur-dur-dur expecting, with good reason, the stenographers of the Corporate Media to dutifully report Both Sides are to Blame and ask Why doesn't President Biden use his vast experience and the bully pulpit to get things done like Ronnie Raygun did with Tip O'Neil?

Besides leading to a lot of damage at National Parks, this shutdown will hurt Unionized Federal employees, cause markets to scramble, keep the military from being paid, fuck with the US economy, crush the poor, devastate working people, and damage your financial situation and quality of life.

It must always be noted:  This pleases the Republican Party.

Republicans hate you and want you to suffer.  Republicans don't want you to have the American Dream; that's reserved for Supreme Court Justices taking lavish gifts, trips, private jet travel, fancy dinners, expensive wines, and every other way of saying BRIBES without saying BRIBES. 

The Republican Party vision for 99% of America is continual toil from childhood to your death at 65.  They don't want you to be able to retire, they don't want you to live a fulfilling life, the Republican Party is against life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.

Republicans hate America 2: Conservatives love striking Workers

Republicans are determined to beat down the American people.  A rightwing domestic terrorist used his Republican granted "right" to Run'em Down and hit 5 striking workers with his car while leaving a plant in Flint, Michigan. 

Republicans are consistently striving to make everyone's life materially worse in every imaginable way.  Whether this is by direct action like murderous Stand Your Ground/ Run'em Down "Laws" or undermining striking workers, Republicans raison d'être is bringing down the Country and the American people.

Besides hating America, Republicans constantly lie.  But, Republicans know that their 50 year campaign of whining about the so-called Liberal Media and "working the refs", they can be assured that their lies will be reported as "alternative facts" and the Corporate Media will twist themselves into knots to Both Sides every single issue.

Why else would the Corporate Media and rightwingers tout Traitor Trumps speech before a non-union group as equivalent to President Biden walking the picket line with striking UAW members.  Republicans are anti-union and Right-to-
Work (for Less).  But, the Media's job is to report what Republicans say and ignore what Republicans actually do.  Of course, with Trump the Corporate Media's job isn't even to report what he says, but to invent things to make Traitor Trump sound competent.  Even when Trump threatens to investigate and murder them, the Corporate Media is invested in Make Trump President Again.

Of course on top of this rightwing propagandists are paid big money to flood the zone with shit.  The above tweet from rightwing propagandist Benny Johnson is just one lie in an Ocean of Crap Republicans fling everywhere.

It's an excellent strategy.

Because it doesn't matter that Benny's lies are easily disprovable, even by the actual video he himself linked.  Benny Johnson knows he's telling lies.  Benny doesn't care.  Biden is for the UAW and the workers therefore conservatives are against whatever Biden is for and Benny's job, just like Ben Shapiro, Matt Walsh, Tim Pool, or whatever rightwing propagandist du jour you can think of is to build up enough lies to tear down America.  Conservatives love lies and hate America.

I found the below paragraphs of contrasting President Biden and Traitor Trump;

This is merely the most superficial analysis, President Biden has accomplished a lot, in the face of an insane group of Republicans controlling the House, and an Instagram Wannabe in the Senate in Krysten Sinema.  All the while facing constant bullshit from the Corporate Media which always covers Democratic Administrations against a backdrop of 4 story lines:

Under this rubric, the Corporate Media will always obscure and soften the hatred of America and actual policy positions the Republican Party loudly and consistently espouses ; namely the destruction of the United States, the end of free and fair elections, and the ensconcing of a Fascist Dystopia ruled by the twin tyranny of White Republican Supremacists and evil evangelical christianity.

Republicans hate America: The National Parks

The Republican Party is no longer interested in the concept of "America", and instead are wholly invested in obtaining political power and then using that power to harm others, afflict the afflicted, despoil and exploit everything possible.

The upcoming Republican Government shutdown led by a feckless Speaker and pushed by conspiracists, thieves, and bigots will do damage to millions of Americans, undermine thousands of small businesses and sunder the fabric of the Nation.

These things all please the Republican Party.  

Because the endstate, the ultimate goal is a Fascist United States ruled by the twin tyranny of White Power and Fundamentalist christianity.

In the immediate aftermath, though, a lot of damage will be done to the US National Parks.  The last time Republicans shutdown the government, white people went nuts and vandalized the shit out of the Parks.  They will do so again.

Human feces, overflowing garbage, illegal off-roading and other damaging behavior in fragile areas were beginning to overwhelm some of the West’s iconic national parks on Monday, as a partial government shutdown left the areas open to visitors but with little staff on duty. 

“It’s a free-for-all,” Dakota Snider, 24, who lives and works in Yosemite Valley, said by telephone Monday, as Yosemite National Park officials announced closings of some minimally supervised campgrounds and public areas within the park that are overwhelmed. 

“It’s so heartbreaking. There is more trash and human waste and disregard for the rules then I’ve seen in my four years living here,” Snider said.

I've been enjoying the granduer, awe, splendor,  and beauty of Yellowstone and Grand Teton in this after Labor Day, pre-winter window.  The crowds are less, the joy and wonder the same.  

Of course, the other thing I and others bring to Wyoming, is tourist dollars.  So, while Republicans plan to fuck over millions of Americans they hypocritically also conspire to keep their interests from being harmed. 

Wyoming Senator Tom Barrasshole (R- of course) is demanding Secretary of the Interior Deb Haaland keep those Parks open (and Tourist $$$ flowin')

"As Secretary of the Interior, it is your responsibility to provide opportunities for people to access our parks in a way that ensures visitor health and safety, as well as providing the same opportunity for future generations,"

By the way, the method Barrasshole is demanding Secretary Haaland use to keep the Parks open (visitor fees from the Federal Land allocation fund) was deemed illegal by the Government Accountability Office in 2018.  So there's that.  But, Shamelessness is a Republican superpower. Republicans hate America, they hate you, and they want nothing less than the End of the American Dream and destruction of the Nation.

Shall not be Infringed 10 Part 2: Murderous conservatives gunning for Democratic Governors

"When do we get to use the guns?"   

As a follow-up to my earlier post about the on-going and increasing Political Violence from Republicans and their rightwing domestic terrorists, New Mexico Governor Lujan Grisham and her family have faced thousands of direct threats of violence and murder.

A Source New Mexico review of posts on social media by elected officials and other users following the public health order issued in New Mexico on Sept. 8 shows numerous calls for Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham to be hanged or killed by other means, and for the publication of private information about Lujan Grisham, her family and staff.

Threats were made in various forums, including the comments section of a website owned by a state representative, and during a rally attended by several state Republican party officials. 

Conservatives yearn to murder Democratic officials because conservatives are terrorists.  Elon Musk demanded the Governor be removed from office.  Baldly blatant Nazi Tim Pool who already has two mass shooters to his credit is now he's gunning for a 3rd to get Governor Grisham but, perhaps even worse elected Republicans in New Mexico are actively engaged and full participants.

At a rally in Albuquerque, gun nuts declared the shooting which spurred Governor Grisham's executive order a "false flag",

Among the rally’s attendees were Republicans Stefani Lord, Sandoval County Commissioner Jay Block, state Senate candidate Nicole Tobiassen, and U.S. Senate candidates Eric Knight and Ben Luna.

In a social media post on Sept. 11, Block a January 6th insurrectionist compared Lujan Grisham’s gun order to the al Qaeda terrorists who attacked the World Trade Center.

“Never forget the Islamic extremists who attacked and killed thousands of innocents... One extremist a few days ago attacked our constitutional rights. Always stand guard, never forget, and always fight for your God-given rights and your beautiful country.”

The post included pictures of the World Trade Center towers exploding in the terrorist attack next to a picture of Lujan Grisham’s face.

Thanks to the combination of rightwing media and online encouragement, Republicans have almost perfected their stochastic terrorism.

Republicans & Conservatives instantly flood news stories with threats of violence and encouragement at each other to do something.  Then take to their toxic social media accounts to regurgitate their noxious nonsense at each other until the concentration of rightwing propaganda hits a critical mass then a terminally online "lone wolf" conservative executes a rightwing domestic terrorist attack.

Meanwhile, media, State Legislatures, and law enforcement is uwholly unequipped, unable, and/or unwilling to deal with online threats ( except for abortion where Cops are licking their chops at the thought of scrolling through your feed to catch some sluts).

We should treat this for what it is; an on-going campaign of domestic terrorism from Republicans upon the American people.  I laid out the sequence in my last post.  

As I said Political Violence is here and Republicans are doing it but, it's rapidly accelerating and heading to an obvious Inflection point in 2024.

If you live in a Republican controlled state or an Unconstitutional Sheriff's County start getting ready now because conservatives absolutely believe they will be able to "use the guns" very soon with the explicit backing and support of elected Republicans. 

Barack saved GM, Joe Biden will save UAW

"I think Ronald Reagan gave us a great example when federal employees decided they were going to strike. He said, you strike, you're fired. Simple concept to me. ... To the extent that we can use that once again, absolutely." - Tim Scott, proving once again Republicans hate working Americans and want you shackled in perpetual Corporate bondage.

As the United States continues to struggle under the yolk of Republican malfeasance and mismanagement, President Biden continues to look out for and stand with American workers. 

Back when General Motors faced an existential crisis,  President Obama came forward with a plan to keep the company going and protect current workers and retirees. Republicans were furious. They derided GM as Government Motors, ridiculed Obama as picking winners and lists,  and roiled over SOCIALISM. 

Republicans wanted to gut GM, cannibalize the company, and sell off every bit to the Vulture Capitalist class who saw an opportunity to make a windfall.  Mitt Romney was all in favor of this plan. After all, leveraging companies and feasting on their demise was a Bain Capital special.  This would have had the added bonus, the cherry on top, of eliminating the pensions and retirement benefits of millions of auto workers.  Sending them into penury and forcing them to take whatever minimum wage, no benefit, no future job Republicans deem Americans worthy of.

GM's demise was a win-win-win-win for Republicans and Barack ruined it.

Just listen to off-handed disdain and blaise hatred the Billionaire Corporate CEO class had at the thought of an emboldened American work force and reinvigorated Unions, as artfully articulated by Tim 'No Avocado Toast' Gurner,

"We need to see unemployment rise. Unemployment has to jump 40, 50% in my view. 

We need to see pain in the economy. 

We need to remind people that they work for the employer, not the other way around. 

I mean there is a, there's been a systematic change where employees feel the employer is extremely lucky to have them as opposed to the other way around.

Republican Presidental "candidates" Tim Scott and Nikki Haley rushed forward to cut the legs out from under the UAW as quickly as possible to appease the Billionaire owners of America.  Under vile Ronnie Raygun and the Era of Neoliberalism pushed by Newt Gingrich and conservatives in the 1990s, Republicans believe they've crushed the American dream and Unions and those two are eager to appease the 1% again.

Billionares and Republicans hate the American people and want US reduced to Beggars and pliant wage slaves.

As they say, Which side are you on,  Republicans are on the side of the Vulture Capitalists, bigots, and mass shooters,  Joe Biden is on the side of Labor and the American people.

Shall Not Be Infringed 10: Guns Don't Kill people: Overgrown Trees & Deer crossing the street (and Republicans) do

America's ridiculous infatuation with guns continues to claim lives and in reality, the one in which 50,000+ are year die from Gun Violence and another untold quarter million or more are wounded each and every year, Jon Stewart, inadvertently hit upon the crux of the Gun Control Argument.  Us Gun Grabbers always FORGET the MAGIC WORDS;

Republicans, gun humping lunatics, and the Firearms Manufacturing Industry (all the same thing) care more about those 4 Magic Words than they do about anyone's actual life.

Simply, observe how Oklahoma State Senator Nathan Dahm responded to being made to a laughing stock by Jon Stewart on guns and the death toll it extracts amongst Americans and especially children.  His responses afterward show he doesn't give a fuck about the law and believes the Constitution is a static document that contains magic immutable spells and he as A True Believer in the Constitution interprets those spells correctly.

Look at the concerted and immediate pushback to New Mexico Governor Michelle L. Grisham's emergency ban on open and concealed carry in Albuquerque.  Republicans want their psychotic followers armed at all times and gun nuts want guns at all times because they want to murder people.  That is the whole of the Law, everything else, as they say, is commentary.

Therefore, Americans just have to live with the constant threat of dying from gun violence anywhere, anytime, anyway.  So, here's two quintessentially American recent deaths by gun;

In western Washington State,

Dan Spaeth of Snohomish, Wash., was outside his home with his wife on the evening of Sept. 7, trying to alert passing cars to deer that were crossing the road, Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office Det. Kendra Conley wrote in an affidavit of probable cause filed in court.

He was shot once by a man driving by, who later told authorities that seeing Spaeth and his wife in the street made him afraid and said he didn’t know whether he had hit someone. He drove away.

Because of Stand Your Ground Laws in Washington and the doctrine of No Duty to Retreat, the 22 year old shooter Dylan Picard probably stands a great chance of getting off on Second Degree Murder charges because of his "Subjective Fear".  Maybe not, because Spaeth is a "good guy". i.e. white male who worked as a corrections officer.

In DeLeon Springs, Florida just North of Orlando, 

The victim, 42-year-old Brian J. Ford, was trimming tree limbs along the fence line between 1880 and 1890 Alameda Drive when 78-year-old Edward S. Druzolowski confronted him about being on his property. Druzolowski told detectives he threatened to shoot Ford, and when Ford didn’t leave, he shot him.  The Sheriff’s Office received 2 911 calls reporting the incident around 7:13 p.m. The first two deputies on scene attempted life-saving measures until EMS arrived, but Ford was pronounced deceased on scene.

This case is laughably simple.  Libertaryans argue that someone trespassing by touching a single blade of grass on your lawn has abrogated their rights and can be thus be safely killed.  Therefore, by demanding Get off my Lawn in his best Clint Eastwood impression Druzolowski has satisfied the conditions of a warnin' and then a shootin'.  Case Closed.

Just like with healthcare coverage, wherein Republicans simply believe if you're born with a genetic condition, develop an illness or become injured too bad, tough shit... Die.

Or with the non-stop Republican efforts to steal Social Security if you're life savings are swindled by the Republican financial sector or Crypto Bros well too bad, tough shit guess you'll become homeless or Die.

And if you should become homeless?  Well then Republicans get to treat you as less-than-human garbage and just be grateful Republicans don't light you and your tent on fire.

Republicans don't give a fuck if you, your wife, your children or anyone are shot to pieces.  Thoughts & Prayers is code for Tough Shit...

And, in fact, the more gun violence the better because then they can demonize Democrats as weak on Crime, all the while Republicans at every level of government weaken Law&Order.

Because, more to the point Republicans plan to do away with the United States of America and replace it with a Fascist Facsimile.  Republicans have cultivated this Murder-Suicide Gun Culture because they expect to use rightwing domestic terrorists to eventually take over the country and the guns will help.  

Republican stochastic gun violence follows a very standard pattern:

Elected Republican: Liberals are traitors and want to take away your way of life.

Republican media: Liberals are traitors and deserve to die.

Conservatives on social media. Liberals are traitors and we should kill them.

Firearms Manufacturing Industry: Liberals want to take your guns, you should buy some more now.

Corporate Media:  [silence]

Motivated "Lone Wolf" Rightwing Terrorist: [Absorbs message, crafts plan, tells friends, kills some liberals]

Corporate Media and Republicans:  This is actually the fault of LGBTQ+ people (or perhaps Teachers) and they want to take away your way of life... (repeat sequence) 

It is incorrect to say that political violence is coming.  As with the crazed rightwinger who absorbed Faux News talking points about Nancy Pelosi, then descended upon her home to duct tape her and beat her to death with a hammer but, instead merely cracked Pelosi's husbands skull open Political Violence is here and Republicans are doing it.  

But, even saying that makes you a target for more political violence from the Right.  As Mitt Romney mentioned on his way out of the Senate, 

“There are deranged people among us,” he told McKay Coppins for a forthcoming biography, an excerpt of which was published in The Atlantic on Wednesday, shortly after Romney announced that he would not seek reelection. “It only takes one really disturbed person.”

Absolute Truth is not a defense against rightwing domestic terrorism.  But, what's coming isn't a repeat of the Civil War of the 1860's, we're too integrated for that, but regions of the country are simply going to declare themselves free of control of Washington DC (when Democrats are in control of the White House or halls of Congress) and so-called purple states will experience the equivalent of the Irish Troubles.

So, make some preparations.  Voting is Necessary but not Sufficient with what's coming.  But, increase your situational awareness now.  Be brave if you can, but be ready.  Because Republican Domestic Terrorism is already here.

The Revenge of the Thin Blue Line 40: The End of Cash Bail in Illinois

How Faux News depicts Chicago

Many provisions of The Illinois Safe-T Act has already been in effect for two years, but today marks the End of Cash Bail.

The D-Bond (and I-Bond / C-Bond) system is over, although Warrants which predate 09/18/23 will still be subject to the Bond amount issued for them.

The end of cash bail was marked with a huge degree of caterwauling and lies by those who benefit from the current system and never, ever, have to worry about not being able to make bail for a minor offense and being stuck in Cook County lock-up for months facing misdemeanor charges.

What the cash bail system always did, and was designed to do, was help restrain the poor and working class.  Rich people who commit a homicide and get a $1,000,000 bail to bond out?  No problem.  Poor folk who can't make $5000 or even scrape together $500 well tough, you're being bussed to 26th and California. 

In reality, the new system still affords Judges, ASA's (Assistant State's Attorneys), and even the arresting officer the ability to detain a person based on a large variety of factors which are not difficult to obtain.  It still holds those arrested for Domestic Violence related crimes and higher level felonies in custody before being transported to Court for an initial hearing.   

All the rightwing fear mongering that the arrested person will go out and commit more crime is nothing less than a call for everyone arrested to be NEVER released from prison.  Which understand doesn't apply to Rightwing Domestic Terrorists from January 6th or from the 4 arrests of Donald John Traitor Trump, but really only to black and brown persons (and white people who have abrogated their innocence by advocating for the poor, the huddled masses, the downtrodden) who in the parlance of the Cook County court system are "mooks" or "mopes"

What this is about is white society, especially rightwing society, believes a certain segment of America are a priori guilty and have, most likely, gotten away with some crime, so jailing them and holding them until they pay a monetary fee is just and right.   

Most of America doesn't want to believe the legal system writ large is unjust and unfair, so for years they told themselves the Cops are the good guys, the courts are fair, and Justice is blind in America.  The War on Drugs really shattered this belief system, but couldn't break it because Republicans continued to tell Americans drug abusers have a moral failing and anyone accused of a crime is ipso facto guilty.  And since the system was Fair & Balanced before now, that means Trump and the Republicans are absolutely right that Trump being charged with 91 Felonies is Weaponized Department of Justice and now we have a Two-Tiered Legal System, which just so happens to be exactly like Reverse-Racism and targeting totally innocent conservatives! 

The new No Bail system in Illinois is going to be a work in progress for a while and is going to be tweaked going forward.  But, if bad actors in the Prosecutor's Office, Sheriffs, and Municipal Police Departments are going to sabotage the effort it won't be because of the Law but, because of their own biased ideas of Justice in America.

Police arrested a man who was allegedly posing as a United States Marshal during a Hispanic Heritage Month event attended by Robert F. Kennedy Jr. on Friday in the Wilshire Park area.

Adrian Paul Aispuro, 44, was booked on a felony gun charge and was being held on $35,000 bail, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department Inmate Information Center. 

LAPD says that they took the man into custody at the event as he was trying to pass himself off as a federal official.

They also say that the man wasn't believed to be threatening RFK Jr. or anyone else, but that he was armed. They did not provide further information on the type of firearm he was carrying. 

It's frightening to imagine what could have happened!  Why, the man, had a gun(s)!  And I'm sure we're all aware of the assassinations of RFK's father and uncle.  Let's see what candidate RFK Jr said about Guns this July,

“I do not believe that there is, within that second amendment, that there’s anything we can meaningfully do to reduce the trade in the ownership of guns, and I’m not going to take people’s guns away. Anybody who tells you that they’re going to be able to reduce gun violence through gun control at this point I don’t think is being realistic,” Robert F Kennedy Jr.

Huh... well... that's interesting...  So since RFK Jr doesn't believe in gun control, declared he won't take guns away from people, and the Police declared Aispuro wasn't "believed to be threatening RFK Jr." why is Kennedy afraid?  Guns Save Lives. 

Even more interesting in this context is RFK Jr. constantly harping on his need to have Secret Service protection.  Why?  Well it's to signal to White Supremacists he's one of them. The usage of 1488, if you are unaware, is not an accidental number sequence for the Kennedy campaign to put out.

Kennedy Jr. has been claiming he is the first Presidential Candidate in History to be denied Secret Service Protection at this stage in his campaign. Besides being an outright lie, it's a slander RFK Jr. is using to denigrate President Biden and to boost his chances of being Traitor Trump's running mate.

Remember Lauren Boebert called Congresswoman Ilhan Omar a terrorist and spread the despicable Republican lie about Omar marrying her brother.  I can not imagine the ridiculous coverage if it was a member of the Squad caught in such a public display of outsized assholishness.

And precisely because Boebert is a valued Republican representative Kevin McCarthy won't dare call for her removal.  Just like with Drunken Van Orden in Wisconsin, pill-pooping Ronnie Jackson in Texas, Boebert has total immunity to act like an asshole and shout "Do you know who I am?" at anyone who asks her not to spit her gross toxic vape juice in their face.

At least "George Santos" has the smarts to not ask people if they know who he is, because "George Santos" doesn't exist and the criminal who represents New York District 03, is simply voting for Republican oppression of America, while confident in re-election in 2024.

With elections in mind, Mitt Romney announced he'll not be running for re-election next year and released a book as the beginning of his long descent into Statesmanship.

The Corporate Media will gush and fawn over Romney as the embodiment of the True Republican Party.  As a reliable centrist and clear-headed believer in American Democracy and Values.

What they will never do is accurately report on the Republican Party, or Mitt's own history, which includes siding with the Republicans in the Senate 100% of the time.  Or that Mitt Romney gleefully rushed to a podium to use the 4 still-warm dead bodies of Americans in Benghazi in September of 2012.  Romney could barely contain his joy and thought for sure the Act of Terror in Libya would catapult him to the White House against President Obama.  As such he joyfully used their corpses.

Of course, Republicans used Benghazi over the next 4 years to defeat Hillary Clinton in 2016 (and still use it today) as rhetorical cudgel against the Democratic Party.  

So, it's not surprising that the House GOP constant propaganda effort has led to the Pentagon opening an investigation into the Afghanistan Withdrawal in August 2021.  Now, the goal is simple if Republicans can declare the withdrawal an unmitigated disaster they can ignore their role in 20 years of wasted money, lives, and effort begun by Warmongering Republicans in 2001.  And thus Afghanistan will be memory-holed as another botched Biden disaster.

I'm not going to minimize the tragedy of those who died at the End of Afghanistan but, what unmitigated gall by Republicans to "Wave the Bloody Shirt" for the Kabul 13, thus ignoring and dismissing the sacrifice of all the others who served and those who died before them.  Shameless.  Vile.  Despicable.

I have little doubt the Corporate Media will help Republicans frame this as entirely President Biden's fault, after all, Dick War Boner Engle and other media figures fucking loved being in a Warzone and rankled at President Biden's bold decision to simply end this 20 year open wound.

Covid cases are on the rise again and a new variant BA.2.86, nicknamed "Pirola", is also in the offing.  For now, officials say they remain well-equipped to deal with the strain if it continues to spread. Early assessments suggest current treatments and tests, as well as upcoming vaccines to be rolled out next month, will not be rendered useless by BA.2.86. So, that's good.

Nonetheless, I've taken to wearing a mask again at work as I await the new booster availability.  As the school year starts so do the interactions with grimy little snot-nosed (literally) children.  But, more than that I wear a mask (the black KN-95) during roll call and in the report writing rooms due to their tiny size.

This exposes me to the anger and brow-beating of the Officers present who try to shame me into not wearing a mask around them.  Now, I am used to years of being the subject of my reactionary co-workers ire because of my beliefs on a whole host of topics but this selective germ theory surprises even this jaded cynical Gen-Xer.  But, also it's obvious my visible mask wearing makes them uncomfortable with the possibility their belief masks don't work is wrong and they are exposing themselves to a hazard purely through anti-virtue signaling (vice signaling).

I often ask them why they wash their hands after dealing with perps or why they don't aggressively inhale second-hand smoke from the few Officers who still smoke.

Some ask me if I've caught Covid and to this point I've managed to be a Novid but, after Labor Day holiday, I told them I don't know up whose butt you've been sticking you nose, one responded are you aware of the Oxford Mask Study which "proved" masks don't work.

After some googling ("doing his own research") he couldn't locate "the study" in question but, asked me if I would accept CNN or Factcheck.org.  I told him no those aren't the quote-unquote The Oxford Study.  At which point he got a quizzical look upon his face.

Eventually I found out what he was talking about which is this---> A Cochrane Review Meta-Analysis.

This is fundamentally how the rightwing anti-vaxx and covid disinformation efforts work.  People don't read anything past the Breaking News headline.  This was jumped upon by the worst of the covid denialists who will never, ever admit they were wrong.  And actually gain more prominence, prestige, and influence by doubling and tripling down on denying the stark reality.

The lead author of the Cochrane review, Tom Jefferson, seemed to endorse this interpretation when he said in an interview, later quoted by conservative columnist Bret Stephens in a widely viewed opinion piece for the New York Times, “There is just no evidence that they” — referring to masks — “make any difference.”

Perhaps even worse, in a. grim irony, despite the rampant rightwing lies about what the meta-analysis says, the Cochrane review does in fact point to a reduction,

Benjamin Cowling, an epidemiologist at the University of Hong Kong who has studied masks, said he thought the review was very similar to other systematic reviews on the topic. But he found the authors’ conclusion that wearing masks in the community “probably makes little or no difference” to be problematic.   

He noted that the confidence intervals for the meta-analysis for unconfirmed and lab-confirmed influenza and COVID-19 “go down as low as 0.84 and 0.72,” and said that “these effects (16% reduction and 28% reduction, respectively) would not be considered little or no difference.” 

Last year, President Biden issued a Memorandum: Addressing the Long-Term Effects of COVID-19.  Long Covid effects on are varied but, present the at least the following serious complications; brain fog, shortness of breath, and fatigue.

The National Institutes of Health launched and is opening enrollment for phase 2 clinical trials that will evaluate at least four potential treatments for long COVID, with additional clinical trials to test at least seven more treatments expected in the coming months. Treatments will include drugs, biologics, medical devices and other therapies. The trials are designed to evaluate multiple treatments simultaneously to identify more swiftly those that are effective. RECOVER is a large, nationwide research program designed to understand, treat and prevent long COVID, which is marked by long-term symptoms following infection by SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19.

His fixation grew Monday, when Musk threatened to sue the group — initially for $4 billion, and subsequently up to $22 billion — claiming the organization’s criticism of his management of X has led to a 60 percent drop in advertising revenue. In one post, he said the ADL was “trying to kill this platform.”

It all began in November when the ADL called on advertisers to pause their spending on the social media site “until it becomes clear whether Twitter remains committed to being a safe place for advertisers as well as society overall.” 

Musk may also be aggrieved by an ADL report issued in May that found “an increase in antisemitic content on the platform and a decrease in the moderation of antisemitic posts.”

“You almost have to pinch yourself, right?” New York’s then-Gov. Andrew Cuomo said at a construction ceremony for the factory in 2015. “That this is too good to be true.”

Eight years later, that looks like a pretty good assessment. 

New York state paid to build a quarter-mile-long facility with 1.2 million square feet of industrial space, which it now owns and leases to Tesla TSLA -0.17%decrease; red down pointing triangle for $1 a year. It bought $240 million worth of solar-panel manufacturing equipment. Musk had said that by 2020 the Buffalo plant each week would churn out enough solar-panel shingles to cover 1,000 roofs.

The Tesla solar-energy unit behind the plan, however, is averaging just 21 installations a week, according to energy analysts at Wood Mackenzie who reviewed utility data. The building houses some factory workers, but also hundreds of lower-paid desk-bound data analysts working on other Tesla business.  

The suppliers that Cuomo predicted would flock to a modern manufacturing hub never showed up. The only new nearby business is a Tim Horton’s coffee shop. Most of the solar-panel manufacturing equipment bought by the state has been sold at a discount or scrapped.
