The Republican Alternative to Obamacare |
The Republicans have two different approaches for you, the Average American, to try instead
of Obamacare.First, you should Understand: If You Were Wealthy, You'd Be Healthy.
Second, if you're Poor: Don't Get Sick but if You do, Die Quickly.
Mitt Romney summed up the Republican view on healthcare for the Poor, Working Class and Middle Class;
"And so my job is not to worry about those people- I'll never convince them to take personal responsibility and care for their lives."If you've got no money you are on your own honey. The Republicans have a message to you America; Their Government will never help you. Because they get too much money from the Koch Brothers and the Plutocracy to purposefully hurt and oppress the Working Class.
The Koch Brothers are spending millions of dollars in various states to sabotage Obamacare because it;s good business for them to make sure 40 million Americans are held without coverage and 250 million others are left worried about losing their jobs and healthcare coverage or getting a catastrophic injury which drains their entire life savings. Meanwhile, the Koch Brothers through their Corporate Colossus are poised to reap $100 Billion from the Keystone XL pipeline. If you were rich like the virtuous Koch Brothers you wouldn't have to worry about needing subsidies for healthcare because you got sick from drinking the water supply poisoned by oil spills.
By now, most of the on-line community has read Eric Stern's piece at Salon where he fact-checked the 6 people paraded out for Sean Hannity's Obamacare Horror Stories. Surprise! It turned out Hannity's "reporting" was totally false but, Faux News had no problem trotting out their bullshit in order to advance the interests of the Rich and to harm poor people.
"Do you hate Obamacare more than you love your country?"Thomas Roberts of MSNBC poised this salient question to Republican Marsha Blackburn. Not only does Blackburn and the Right hate Obamacare more than they love their country; they hate President Obama more than anything in the universe.
Larry Kudlow had a discussion panel where his chyron read Free Market solutions to Healthcare coverage. But, we've seen Free Market solutions applied to Healthcare; no coverage for pre-existing conditions, maximum expenditures, bureaucratic overheard siphoning money away from patients and their care to administrators, denying coverage by swamping people with them with paperwork and endless denials, and bankruptcy from catastrophic illness and injury; all designed to limit the amount of healthcare services provided to people while extracting as much money from them as possible.
Kudlow, along with Reince Priebus, Fucker Carlson, Mike Huckabee, Hannity and various other right-wingers have done an exceptional job of conflating the failures of Healthcare.gov website with the actual ideas of the ACA (i.e. Obamacare).
And why not? What's one more lie from conservatives? The souls of people who would let just someone die because they don't have insurance can't get any blacker.
What makes you think that they have souls?
ReplyDeleteSarge
The hate mongering left-wing extremists Hate ALL Republicans, especially Conservatives Tea-party members, Capitalism, Christians, Jews successful Businessmen, Large Corporations, Small Corporations, Medium Corporations traditional, Soccer Moms, Fox, News, ALL Conservative Talk show Hosts, George Bush, Rush Limbaugh, Michele Bachmann, Glenn Beck, Ann Coulter, Sean Hannity, and Sarah Palin, Gun Owners, Conservative African Americans, Apple Pie and Baseball. But what the heck, No Body Is Perfect!
ReplyDeleteAnd may I add that Liberals not only Hate conservative women but they fear conservative women because not only are most more intelligent but more attractive than Liberal women. If you need any examples try Nancy Pelosi, Michelle Obama, and Janet Napolitano!
What Sarge said!!
ReplyDeleteThe thing I can't figure out is, where is the profit motive in keeping millions of people uninsured?? Aren't all these "free market" types supposedly capitalists and wouldn't more people buying insurance and paying premiums mean more money for the insurance companies?? So why be against companies making more money??
ATB got it all wrong for me, I don't hate capitalism or businessmen or small corps, I are one. I don't hate Jews, Soccer moms or apple pie either, I like to have sex with or eat them. As for womens looks and brains that's random attraction and no party has a hold on that.
ReplyDeleteKoch's pour millions into a labyrinth of cozy sounding groups who are all trying to make sure children born to laid-off workers die of common diseases.
Koch’s groups:
Americans for Prosperity
Heritage Action for America
Tea Party Patriots
Center to Protect Patient Rights
The 60 Plus Association
American Commitment
Generation Opportunity
Concerned Women for American Legislative Action Committee
American Legislative Exchange Council
Yellowfringe and kulkuri, Hey look! I got the attention of paid Faux blog commentors!!!
ReplyDeleteRepublicans and Conservatives want poor people to die: 6 Ohio State Republicans and 2 Women Oppression group sued to stop the expansion of medicaid.
“The Ohio Controlling Board’s expansion of Medicaid violates the clear limits on its own authority, and accordingly, also violates the clear limits of the Ohio Constitution.”
"Cleveland Right to Life and Right to Life of Greater Cincinnati Inc. joined them because they oppose the use of federal funding for expansion and wanted the chance to debate the issue with the Legislature, according to the filing."
The Koch Brothers are spending millions of dollars in various states to sabotage Obamacare because...
ReplyDeleteLOL! The Koch brothers? No! The roll out is imploding from internal distress. This disaster was all Democrat from beginning to end.
You got what you wanted; now the Democrats own it.
Ridiculous and dishonest as always Chickenhammer.
ReplyDeleteMultiple state governors have purposefully declined to assist poor and working class people.
Multiple right-wing non-think tanks have released bogus claims about the ACA.
And the Kochs are spending millions (along with other Rich 1%ers) to dupe people.
But, this is all we can expect from conservatives these days.
Deliberate obstruction, willful malice and outright sabotage,
And lies. Like the one your post alludes too, in conflating a website problem with a problem with the law.
But, when your goal is to oppress no action is too shameless.
Remember when Mitt Romney claimed that no one dies from a lack of health insurance because there are Emergency Rooms? Turns out he lied. He was lying to those who have insurance and have no idea what happens when someone without insurance tries to get health care. The emergency room will send you a bill and maybe you'll be able to get out of paying it if you have absolutely nothing. Second, if you have a chronic condition, you can't just keep showing up at an emergency room to get your problems taken care of. Emergency rooms are for emergencies! They will only treat you if you'd otherwise die... soon. Not if you have a condition that is going to kill you if untreated YEARS in the future. People do die due to a lack of health insurance... around 45 thousand every year.
ReplyDeleteMike Huckabee, an ordained Southern Baptist minister, is one of those whose soul is pitch-black. This evil SOB actually said "It sounds so good, and it's such a warm message to say we're not gonna deny anyone from a preexisting condition" and then compared health insurance for someone with a preexisting condition to someone trying to insure their home after it already burned down. What Huckabee overlooks (as a minister, for crying out loud!) is that the reason we have health care isn't so for-profit companies can make a buck... it's so people can get access to health care! This perfectly illustrates why we should have single payer. Remove the profit motive entirely. Health care should be a right (LIFE, liberty and the pursuit of happiness).
W-Dervish,
ReplyDeleteNick Gillespie, the Fonzi of Freedom, who never saw a poor person who wasn't doing too good in Nick's opinion, declared on Crossfire medicaid has never helped anyone:
"[L]et's not pretend that the Medicaid expansion is a good thing. Medicaid is one of the most inefficient and awful programs. If you know anybody who has been on Medicaid, you would do everything you could to change that program.
At its best, and this is the study coming out of Oregon that everybody points to. After two years they found there was no clear health outcome benefit to being on Medicaid."
Libertarianism; kill the power and serve the rich.
