Republicans hate America 17: Iowa Governor Scrooge K. Reynolds takes food out of the mouth of the hungry on Christmas Eve

I'm "worried" about childhood obesity that's why
Iowa's only food products are Bacon and HCFS

"At this festive season of the year, Governor Kim Reynolds, ... it is more than usually desirable that we should make some slight provision for the Poor and destitute, who suffer greatly at the present time. Many thousands are in want of common necessaries; hundreds of thousands are in want of common comforts, Ma'am."
Kim Reynolds -"Are there no federal funded prisons?"
"Plenty of prisons..."
Kim Reynolds -"And the Republican created concentration camps.  Are they still in operation?"
"Both very busy, Ma'am..."
Kim Reynolds - "Those who are badly off must go there."
"Many can't go there; and many would rather die."
Kim Reynolds - "If they would rather die, they had better do it, and decrease the surplus population."

In a Christmas Eve tradition, Iowa Governor Kim Scrooge Reynolds is eager and able to ensure that poor children in Iowa go hungry for the holidays and beyond because poor Iowa children are too fat.  I doubt that Reynolds will have a Dickensian epiphany on Christmas Morn.

Iowa has decided not to participate in a federal program that would provide children with $40 a month in food assistance during the summer, the state announced late Friday.

"Federal COVID-era cash benefit programs are not sustainable and don’t provide long-term solutions for the issues impacting children and families. An EBT card does nothing to promote nutrition at a time when childhood obesity has become an epidemic," Gov. Kim Reynolds said in the news release.

Republicans hate you and want you to die.  Republicans don't even care if their policy decisions hurt their constituency.  Dying of Whiteness is a conservative shibboleth.  Republicans know they can lie with abandon, vote against funds for their voters and simply rely on the Corporate Media to blame Congress, or gridlock in DC, and reinforce the white man delusion of I Blame the Demmycrats!

I mean just look at this disreputable Florida Representative María Elvira Salazar, who in 2022 voted against the Inflation Reduction Act while claiming Inflation is 40% and pocketing a cool $500,000 in inside trading, and then a week before Christmas 2023 Salazar decided to celebrate the Federal funds she voted against.  Taking credit for things they vote against is a Republican triumph.

Keep convincing yourselves that Republicans and Democrats differences in politics are a sincerely held divergence in what constitutes a healthy functioning government and Nation and you'll end up in the Trump brand detention camps.

Republicans yearn to purify this Nation and through brutal austerity programs and channeling of tax monies to fascist fundamentalist Christian organizations remold the Nation into a Neo-Confederate White Supremacist country buttressed by the twin pillars of White Power and Wage Slavery.  They explicitly declare their intent to use their Religious Liberty to harass, enslave, and kill you.

I've been hoping these policies and hypocritical actions would cause electoral defeats for Republicans.  But, Salazar has won two elections to the House of Representatives and Kim Reynolds easily won re-election to Governor in 2022 by a far larger percentage than in 2018.  It clearly seems policy choices and delivering on election promises doesn't matter white people do not vote based on what they claim to want; but, against themselves based on the fear and anger Republicans have cultivated within them.
