Republicans hate America 4: Tommy Tuberville Stolen Valor

Tommy Tuberville, a Senator from Alabama, is holding up hundreds of military promotions in order to ensure those military members who hold the wrong political views are kept from command of the military, until such time as Traitor Trump can regain office and fill those vacancies with the Proper Fascist Americans.

One of the spots Tuberville attempted to obstruct is the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.  Air Force General Charles Q. Brown Jr was nominated for the position as the outgoing Chief of the Air Force.  It should be noted General Brown was confirmed in 2020 by a Senate vote of 98-0 for Chief of the Air Force.  But, for some reason, Coach PotatoTown decided he didn't like General Brown and he voted against him for Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.

Why might you ask? Well, as Tuberville said, “I heard some things that he talked about, about race and things that he wanted to mix into the military.  Don't give me this stuff about equal opportunity.”

Can't have RACE MIXING in the military.  Can't have EQUAL OPPORTUNITY in the military.

Tuberville has repeatedly defended his actions by stating, "There is no one more military than me."

Stolen Valor is a fraught term.  However, like everything in America once conservatives got their hands on it they turned it into an Unconstitutional Weapon to Bash the Left.  Fortunately, the now defunct Supreme Court ruled that the original W(orst POTUS Ever) Stolen Valor Law of 2005 was a clear and direct violation of Free Speech and struck it down.  The current 2013 version requires the person to obtain tangible benefit or money in order to constitute an offense.

But, the political aspect remained as Rightwingers are utterly convinced the Military is overwhelmingly Republican.  So, for instance every rightwing internet detective declared Hillary Clinton's friend and retired Navy Chief Petty Officer Oscar Flores, who marched in a Memorial Day Parade in 2016 alongside HRC, was an obvious fraud.  On-line posers declared Stolen Valor because of his "faddish sunglasses" and cocked cover and of course, that he was alongside HRC and former President Bill Clinton.

You see, rightwingers live inside a bubble of their own farts and psychosis.  You can see this play out nowadays when every conservatives declares every mass shooting to be a False Flag and every rightwing domestic terrorist to be a FED.  For instance Elon Musk trying to destroy the life of an innocent 22 year old Ben Brody this summer, as Musk repeatedly pushed the false accusation of Brody being an undercover FED implanted in a rightwing Neo-Nazi organization.  Musk is currently being sued by Brody for his defamation.

Conservatives mental peccadillos cause them to be unable to come to grips with the fact that they are the bad guys.  Republicans are naught but criminals, traitors, and bigots and as such they hate the current United States and have nothing to offer the American people.  But, in their own minds Conservatives are the Patriots.

Besides Tommy Potatotown proclamation, "no one is more military than me", he has also felt the need to lie about his father's completely honorable service during World War II, lying about his father commanding a tank in the streets of Paris, winning 5 Bronze Stars, landing on D-Day, and so forth.  This is another plank in the boardwalk of deplorable shamelessness which encompasses Tuberville's Senate career and entire despicable life.  But, conservatives don't give a shit.  And Republicans don't give a shit either.  Republicans simply get to proclaim themselves Patriots or Freedom Fighters when in fact they are criminals and traitors.  Every... last... one...

Reagan Salutes America
Republicans conferred upon themselves the Mantle of Most Military, in the wake of the Vietnam War, and  Ronnie Raygun The Lying WWII King of Stolen Valor, did everything he could to further that false crown.  Especially Ronnie's invention of the Presidential Salute which was a way for him to continue his fantasy cosplay as a Tough GI Joe taking it to the Nazis and liberating Concentration Camps.  It also served as a tremendous propaganda tool for the Republicans.

We see this all the time especially in the last election when Republicans running for office would be afforded the soft cover of being allowed to claim to be that which they were not.  Corporate Media rarely if ever accurately reports Republicans actions and instead allows them to say obviously untrue things like they are "more military".

For instance, in 2022 Republican Tina Forte ran against AOC and touted herself as the Pro-Law Enforcement candidate (this was time when Republicans and Corporate Media conspired together to label the Democrats the Defund the Police Party).  Forte best known for her heavy Bronx accent, unhinged YouTube videos, steroid physique and her veal carpaccio chest is also the head of a gun running and heroin smuggling cartel and that besides her attending the Jan6th Insurrection both, her son and husband have been arrested by the FBI.  Yet, she was allowed to tout herself as the Pro-Police, Tough on Crime candidate.

Or, when a Republican candidate for Mayor of Derby, Connecticut Gino DiGiovanni who this year was arrested for invading the Capitol building on Jan6th, with copious amounts of video footage gets to rewrite his own histroy.  Despite the evidence or perhaps because of it, DiGiovanni and his attorney Martin Minnella proclaim, DiGiovanni needs his stockpile of guns, and he's "just a man expressing his views.  He's not a criminal.  He's a patriot."

Or when Republican J.R. Majewski ran for Congress in Ohio by vividly touting his combat experience, including being among the first Americans on the ground in Afghanistan in the wake of 9/11 and declaring any questions about the veracity of his Stolen Valor where lies "placed by the liberal media and my opponent..." As "all of my deployments are listed as classified."

So, when Tommy PotatoTown clunkily declares, "There is no one more military than me" he is simply espousing received Republican wisdom and expecting (not without reason) the Corporate Media will dutifully act as stenographers and report Senator Tommy Tubberville: No One! More Military!
