Lying Tax Cheat Mitt Romney's Plan will Raise Taxes on 19 out of every 20 Americans

Can you guess which 1 in 20 Americans gets a Tax Break? Yes America, Mitt Romney will raise your taxes and lower his own. From the Tax Policy Center Urban Institute and Brookings Institution August 1, 2012 Report,
However, on average, after-tax income for taxpayers earning less than $200,000 would need to decrease by 1.2 percent, an effective tax increase of $500 per household.
95% of Americans, those who earn $200,000 or less, will see their taxes go up under the Romney Plan, but those Americans earning $1,000,000 or more (like R-Money himself) will see an average tax break of $87,117.

Mitt Romney wants to steal from the Poor to Give to Himself and his Plutocratic Brethren, "I pay all the taxes that are legally required and not a dollar more.” Hey when you are engaged in Class Warfare and trying to grind down the middle class into Wage Slavery you make your system of oppression "legal".
"I’d think people would want me to follow the law and pay only what the tax code requires."
Ah... Mitt Romney has taken advantage of 30 years of Piss Down Your Back and Tell You It's Raining Trickle Down Economics. But, when Mitt or Ann Romney says people they mean the Rich 1% with whom they assoicate not "you people".
“We’ve given all you people need to know and understand about our financial situation and how we live our life,” Ann Romney.
The Whole Republican Party and Pro-Business Democrats have engaged in the business of making the Reverse Robin Hood Theft and Transfer of Wealth from the 99% up to the 1% "legal".
"I don't pay more than are legally due," Mitt Romney has often said.
It's a telling statement. When criminals are confronted with their crimes, they often resort to answering questions in an exactness which belies that they've committed a crime, but want to convince you they didn't.
“Was there ever any year when you paid lower than 13.9 percent?” David Muir of ABC News asked Romney.

“I’m happy to go back and look but my view is I’ve paid all the taxes required by law. From time to time I’ve been audited...” Mitt Romney’s campaign has said he’s never been audited.
WTF? Romney has to go back and look to know what he's paid? Is this answer designed to make Americans believe Romney has so much money he doesn't know what he's paid? Or does it reveal that Romney's secret off-shoring, Roth IRA legerdemain, and all-around tax paying shenanigans indicate he's probably paid ZERO in taxes for 10 years as Senator Harry Reid contends a high level Bain Executive told him?

But, don't worry America, the Stock Markets are going up NOW because in a 100 days Mitt Romney will be elected President. So make sure to check those stock options, everyone! You do have a diverse stock portfolio, right???

He won't answer about his taxes, and don't ask about his grandfather's Morman Mexican harem, he won't say what his foreign policy is beyond kiss Isreal's ass, you can't ask about his houses, his time a Baine. Much of what we know about this man is that we don't know much about this man. He's running an election on not explaining not answering.
Look, his grandfather left the US rather than abide by it's laws, Mittens must still harbor resentment for those perceived religious persecutions of his ancestors. So, trash American jobs and change your money into Swiss Francs and Cayman dollars.
Was his Grandmother the number 1 wife? Did you ever see the movie "Red Lantern" about the Chinese emperor's harem?

@ Yellow, I was doing research on Romney and read about The Mexican Mormon connection, it never out and out said he was a polygamist, but that was definitely underlying. I think it's kind of strange that his grandpa was run out of town on a rail. No one in MSM has even hinted at that stench. He is like a cardboard cut-out. There's nothing there. How can someone with billions in offshore accounts, caused millions of jobs to be offshored or just plain end, be seriously considered to be President of the United States of America, while also ruining it? As long as he gets his tax breaks, HIS corporate welfare, everyone else can suffer.

Yellow Fringe and Patricia,

It's not just R-Money's plan either. Our Corporate Lords want Us sacrificed on the altar of Capitalism.

From Crooks and Liars and Hullabaloo, the following Plutocrats marched to Washignton DC last week to demand Austerity Now!:

David M. Cote, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Honeywell International Inc. $37,842,723 annual compensation

Alexander M.(Sandy) Cutler, Executive Chairman, Chief Executive Officer, President and Chairman of Executive Committee, Eaton Corporation $13,586,010 annual compensation

Gregg M. Sherrill, Executive Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Tenneco Inc. $5,750,640 annual compensation

Martin L. Flanagan, Chief Executive Officer, President and Executive Director, Invesco Ltd. $13,420,458 annual compensation

Mark T. Bertolini, Chairman, Chief Executive Officer, President, Chairman of Executive Committee and Member of Investment & Finance Committee, Aetna Inc.
$10,556,335 annual compensation

Thomas J. Quinlan III, Chief Executive Officer, President and Director, R.R. Donnelley & Sons Company $6,059,714 annual compensation

James Dimon, Chairman, Chief Executive Officer, President and Member of Operating Committee, JPMorgan Chase & Co. $23,105,415 annual compensation

3 days later, < a href="http://www.ctj.org/taxjusticedigest/archive/federal_tax_issues/corporate_taxes_1/">House Republicans brought forward a plan to fast track the Paul Ryan Death to the Middle Class Tax Plan. Which would ensure even bigger tax cuts for Millionaires and Billionaires, allow Corporations to off-shore jobs and then repatriate the profits at Zero Taxes and provide even more tax welfare for Corproations eventhough many of them are paying less than Zero in taxes and have been for years.

But, you can't have Neo-Feudalism without eliminating Medicaid, Social Security and the American Dream.

Did you even read the report you linked to?

those making between $75,000 and $100,000 would see an increase of 2.4 percent (on average, a $1,800 tax cut). Finally, although individuals making less than $75,000 would see an increase in after-tax income of 0.1 percent (about a $200
9
tax cut per person), those at the very bottom of the income distribution—Americans who make less than $30,000 per year—would actually see a small tax increase because tax provisions in the 2009 stimulus bill and subsequently extended through 2012 expire.

So those making less that $30,000 would see a small tax increase. Everyone else, a tax decrease. That is the only tax increase in the analysis.

But it doesn't matter, because it wasn't the Romney Plan that Brookings analyzed. His plan is not yet complete, so they filled in the blanks for him.

I don't give anonymous sources much credence - However, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reed has reported that he has recieved information from now "multiple sources" that Romney did not pay any taxes for ten years.
While Romney may decry this as political character assassination I believe that the onus is on him to answer these (questionable as they may be) allegations and release all of his tax records (like his father did). Romney's refusal to rebut these allegations with documentation is going to pose him a major credibility problem after labor day when we will all be attacked with the political ads.
I say, any candidate for president must be completely open as to his financial affairs and to refuse to do so does not warrant the trust of We The People. And, this election is a lot abot trust...

Of course, Silverfiddle,

While lower tax rates provide a stronger incentive for employment and saving, base-broadening measures would increase the portion of Americans’ income that is subject to tax, and this would create incentives that would work in the other direction.

While Romney lowers the rates on the poor, he will eliminate all tax loopholes which aid the Middle Class while expanding those for his Plutocratic Siblings. As Romney has stated he plans to lower taxes for the Rich because, "I'm not worried about the very poor..."

In the revenue-neutral case, the analysis assumes that tax expenditures are reduced or eliminated “starting at the top” so that tax preferences are eliminated first for higher-income taxpayers to make the resulting plan as progressive as possible. In practice, revenue-neutrality requires a net tax increase on taxpayers with income below $200,000

The fact still remains, this analysis was done on what the researchers believe Romney's tax plan will be...

So seriously your defense of Mitt Romney is 'he doesn't have a plan'. Fantastic.

Look Silverfiddle I know you hate Obama because of his liberalness but seriously Romney embodies everything you claim to hate. No military service, religious extremism (baptizing holocaust victims), affluence gained via using the government, lifetime as a government bureaucrat...

It boggles the mind. Oh well...

Silverfiddle said...

I don't hate people for not serving, and what people do internally in their church doesn't bother me at all so long as they are not violating the rights of others.

Given a choice between two government bureaucrats, I chose the more conservative one who has actually run a business.

This report is bogus because they are critiquing what they imagine his plan to be, not his plan.

Gene- First, has anyone shown proof of Romney cheating on his taxes? If so, is there a link? Flat tax anyone?

Second- I'm not an accountant but if I do the math properly to the best of my knowledge, a person who earns $1 million in income would be responsible for a a $340,000 payment to our government. That of course is assuming that the income is not capitol gains.
Deduct $87,117 from that, that equals $252,883. That is roughly 26% tax burden. Wasn't Obama's tax burden 23% last year?

Third- My taxes will go up due to the Affordable Care Act.

JOB,

Well, ignore the lateness of my reply but seriously do you really think your made up figures apply?

Romney has $105 million in his tax-deferred IRA so immediately Harry Reid is correct. And who knows how many Hundreds of Millions he off-shored into dummy corporations under the Bush Regime. From Democracy Now! Global Elites hiding 21-32 TRILLION in off-shore accounts.

But, I'm not sure why you and Silverfiddle feel the need to post these comments about Romney over here? You don't need to justify your vote for him to me, although perhaps you do need to justify it to yourselves.

J.O.B. said...

Gene- Not trying to justify anyone's vote. Really not even trying to change anyone's vote. Just pointing out inaccuracies. Tax deferred IRA's do not equate to cheating on your taxes. I have them. Will I be audited?

I thought my made up figures do apply. We were talking about taxes, were we not?

Grung_e_Gene said...

JOB,

If you really are going to claim made up numbers can justify your argument that Romney didn't pay taxes than you've justified Harry Reid's claim.

But, additionally, do you have $100 million in a tax deferred IRA? Because the limit has been between $2000 and $6000 a year for over 20 years know so it's impossible that Romney legally moved those funds into his IRA.

Romney has been cheating at taxes for decades. He's a criminal.
