Murderous Gun Spree in Colorado but, It's not Terrorism because the suspect is "white"

America you'd better get used to daily murder sprees by heavily armed gunman.

In a suburb of Denver, Colorado, a gun loving terrorist wearing gas mask and bullet-proof vest killed 12 people at a midnight premiere of The Dark Knight Rises. The terrorist is apparently a University of Colorado drop-out, 24 year old James Holmes.

Holmes was armed with two .40 caliber Glocks, a Remington model 870 shotgun and a Smith and Wesson AR-15 rifle, also was wearing a bullet-proof vest and may have released a tear-gas cannister.

If only George Zimmerman was there instead of being locked up for stalking and gunning down that Trayvon Martin. But, then of course, Trayvon was black and armed with a bag of skittles, not a vest-wearing, multiple gun-carrying white college student.
"I believe, every American should have to go out and buy a Glock 9mm. And if you don’t do it, we’ll tax you. Now, I wonder how the liberals will feel about that one.” - Florida Congressman Allen West, murderous pyscho enabler.
12 lives sacrificed upon the altar of the Gun. How many more people? How many more times? How long must we cower under the barrel of the Gun?

Never have I ever read a true message from the gun loving psychos of America to the families of the victims of these muderous outrages. While they are crafting their prefunctonary condolences Gun Lovers of America are locking and loading.

Immediately, after Gun Crazies attack Gun Crazy Apologists attack.
Damn Librul Media Never tells you about the hundreds of times gun-owners stop an attack like this, huh huh huh??? Fat Michael Moore should show up to my house and I'll teach him "Gun Control" means using two-hands!
It's as if these real world consequences of their political beliefs are just thought experiments to the gun crazies. Nope, no need to reflect. Their immediate reaction is towards insular "cling to their guns" lashing out, like wounded animals. Usually, accompanied by a bad case of projection as they believe anyone who wants to curb murderous gun violence will "politicize" this tragedy, when in fact, that is precisely what the Professional Gun Lobby have always done post-killing spree.

So, instead of even pausing to question their beliefs, the organized Pro-Gun Establishment will simply label the terrorist "crazy" and "liberal", turn inwards and ramp up the NRA outrage machine over President Obama's Super-Secret Plan to Take their Guns.

And We, the People allow others to make life and death choices for us by allowing gun-loving psychopaths to legalize the Freedom to walk into bars armed to the teeth, purchase extended clip magazines, full-auto capable rifles so that Killers can chase down a black teen or walk into a suburban Pittsburgh yoga studio and kill 3 women to get revenge for all those spurned advances, or attempt to assassinate Congresswoman Gaby Giffords, whiling killing a 9 year old girl and 8 others at an Arizona political rally, or gun down 3 Pittsburgh police officers who President Obama has sent to get their guns, or walk into a Binghamton New York Immigration Center and murder 13 or terrorize a Suburban Denver movie theater.

Like Major Hassan's murderous rampage and the killings that go on daily in "gun free" Chicago, it also didn't fit the definition of terrorism.

Liberals sure do hate letting a good tragedy go to waste, and apparently, you're no exception, Gene.

Pointing a finger of blame in a case like this almost always ends up being a circular firing squad. No one wants to admit their "team" might have insisted their cause trumps all others, and no one wants to accept responsibility for the actions of a lunatic.
We can't have serious gun control discussions because the mere announcement of that subject line sends everyone dashing to their talking points memo.
But if you look at our gun deaths as opposed to those in every other civilized western nation you'll notice some startling differences, and no one seems to have a reasonable explanation.
At the end of the Civil War there were historians who explained the extreme carnage of the war as a terrible combination of two things: Napoleonic tactics and more advance weaponry.
I think we'll look back on this some day and see an equally poisonous combination: widespread untreated mental illness and weapon availability.
We can't restrict gun purchases much more than we currently do without violating long held civil liberties afforded by the Constitution, and we can't allow mentally ill people to continue to have access to those weapons. Obviously, current laws aren't working, and tougher restrictions aren't possible in today's political climate.
Your first line is prophetic, in my opinion. Get ready for daily slaughters.

squatlo,

Thank you for your comment. I appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts on this terribel incident.

As always in America those without power, money and influence are shuffled aside or ignored.

As we move forward as a society, more and more the very Rich or political influential are determining the way our lives are going to be lived.

And with the gun issue in America, a small cadre have determined that daily deaths and thousands shot and killed yearly are the price "We" have to pay in order to enjoy the good graces of the divinely inspired word.

Rahm Emmanuel at the behest of his moneyed owners has closed 6 of Chicagos 13 Mental Health clinics. Why?

Because rich psychopaths who control the Government have deemed spending on Mental Health facilities to be SOCIALISM!

Incidents like this are are the result of the 1% Austerity programs which directly target facilities which are best suited and staffed to help people who suffer from mental health problems.

Gene: Your hysterical commentary aside, I agree with you on mental institutions. But before they were closing down, it became harder to commit someone, which probably contributed to their closing.

I also agree with Squatlo.

Personally, I think our crappy culture is to blame

I read a book by a psychiatrist a while back, about the consequences of not having talk therapy and proper monitoring of people who have mental disorders. Now they just hand out pills. She actually predicted more incidents like this occurring. My daughter went to the midnite screening of Batman, the very same night. It just really hit home. Your observation about the Trayvon Martin incident nailed it. I read that when the parents were interviewed they weren't surprised he did it. Really sad.

Bill Kristol nails it!

"I actually think the Democrats are being foolish as they’re being cowardly."

I knew this was the fault of the DemocRATS!

And Ron Johnson correctly pointed out these dead were the sacrifices demanded by the Holy 2nd Amendment upon the bloody altar of freedom, "Just the fact of the matter is this is really not an issue of guns. It’s really an issue of freedom."

Freedom demands sacrifices from the blood of innocents...
