Mitt Romney tells Hurricane Sandy Victims they are on their Own

As Hurricane Sandy demolishes the East Coast of the United States, Mitt Romney is helping out... in Ohio hundreds of miles away from the nearest damage. Perhaps Mitt Romney thinks Ohio is The Ocean State just like Syria is Iran's Path to the Sea?

Mitt Romney's heart is with his money in the Cayman Islands. So you would think he would understand Hurricane relief efforts.

But, Mitt Romney is first and foremost a Vulture Capitalist, as such any disaster is an opportunity for Romney to suck the life's blood from wounded and hurt Americans.
"And so my job is not to worry about those people- I'll never convince them to take personal responsibility and care for their lives."
"President" Mitt Romney would eliminate FEMA and Federal Disaster relief would be handled by the Private Sector.
"We cannot — we cannot afford to do those things without jeopardizing the future for our kids. It is simply immoral, in my view, for us to continue to rack up larger and larger debts and pass them on to our kids, knowing full well that we’ll all be dead and gone before it’s paid off. It makes no sense at all.”
Meaning Without Money you're on your own Honey. It's Mitt declaring 'Let FEMA go bankrupt'... Under Vulture Romney the Country can not afford to help Americans and parts of the United States devastated by Natural Disasters. That money is earmarked for Plutocrats Cayman Island Bank Accounts.

Mitt Romney's idea on Disaster Relief are in line with his Vulture career at Bain Capital and his ideas on Healthcare,
“It seems to me like children and people with preexisting conditions should be covered,” Jay Leno noted in an interview with Romney in March 2012.

“People with preexisting conditions — as long as they’ve been insured before, they’re going to continue to have insurance,” Vulture Mitt explained.

“Suppose they were never insured?” Leno asked.

“Well, if they’re 45 years old, and they show up, and they say, I want insurance, because I’ve got a heart disease, it’s like, `Hey guys, we can’t play the game like that. You’ve got to get insurance when you’re well, and if you get ill, then you’re going to be covered,’” Romney replied.

“I know guys that work in the auto industry and they’re just not covered because they work in brake dust,” Leno pressed. “And then they get to be 30, 35, and were never able to get insurance before. Now they have it. That seems like a good thing.”
If You were Wealthy You'd Be HealthyVulture Mitt has the smooth misunderstanding of Health Insurance that comes from being born a child of privilege never having to worry if he or his family members got sick or injured, had their job outsourced by Bain Capital, lost their coverage or had their foot run over by one of the many illegals mowing Mitt Romney's palatial estate.

Of course, Mitt Romney doesn't care about those Americans injured by Hurricane Sandy either. Why they're just those lazy American Moochers who think they're entitled to Government protection,
"All right, there are 47 percent who are with him, who are dependent upon government, who believe that they are victims, who believe the government has a responsibility to care for them, who believe that they are entitled to health care, to food, to housing, to you-name-it. That that’s an entitlement. And the government should give it to them."
In Mitt Romney's America if you don't have money he'll set you adrift to die on some flotsam and jetsam.

Update:
Mitt Romney refused to answer when he was asked 14 times whether he would eliminate FEMA. Because Romney can't let the battered conservative voters know he plans to sell them into slavery to Bain Capital, Halliburton and China

  1. Yeah, Gene, he simply has no idea how the other 99% live....or die. I can't believe half the people of America actually are buying his lies.

I mean, Hel's bells, he is the guy that squicked out girls like me in HIGH SCHOOL, the sort who would steal girls undies while there were in gym class or such...

  2. Heckava Job Brownie found a way to connect Hurricane Sandy to Benghazi,

“One thing he’s gonna be asked is, why did he jump on [the hurricane] so quickly and go back to D.C. so quickly when in…Benghazi, he went to Las Vegas?” Brown says. “Why was this so quick?… At some point, somebody’s going to ask that question…. This is like the inverse of Benghazi.”

Yeah, why does President Obama not let all those undesirables die like Super Christian George W(orst President Ever) Bush did? Huh? Huh? Huh?

  3. I don't think I will ever forget that picure of GW flying up aboard AF One and looking down on the flooded 9th Ward in New Orleans. Apathy isn't a strong enough term for that.
Sandy is different! It isn't poor asses black folks being hit - It is above middle class and flat-assed wealthy that have lost homes in this storm. Yet, the Republicans cut funding for FEMA and gave the bucks to the Pentagon.

Romney is now getting involved with disaster relief funding (in Ohio)after saying that FEMA should be abolished and the states and private enterprise should handle disasters.

I voted today and sttod in a line over an hour to exercise that right.

Get yer ass out there and vote.

I'm glad Sarge pulled his finger out of his ass and mentioned New Orleans, where a Democrat governor and a Democrat Mayor fumbled and dithered, letting people drown, instead of evacuating them. Thanks for the reminder.

Democrat leadership is deadly. Just ask Ambassador Steven and his staff who were murdered by terrorists because Obummer couldn't make a decision, and instead jetted off to Vegas.

  8. Obama's advice to people left stranded with no electricity and damaged infrastructure?

Monitor the situation on TV and the internet

Is this a presidential administration or a SNL skit?

What a collectivist collection of dim bulbs.

Ohio is Romney's path back to private life.

Silverpiddle notwithstanding, there's no way in Hell that local government, however capable, could cope with a disaster like Katrina. FEMA dropped the ball there because it was being run by an incompetent Bush appointee, not because of any inherent problem with the concept of federal disaster assistance.

As for how well Obama has handled Sandy, why not take the word of a prominent Republican on the scene -- Chris Christie?

The wingnuts can spin till they're dizzy and cherry-pick phrases, but the fact remains that Obama is succeeding where Bush screwed up. The wingnuts should stick to stuff they're actually good at, like tormenting rape victims.

  10. There's a very evil aspect of Republican leadership in government. People who are virulently opposes to the Federal Government were placed in high-level positions during Bush's Presidency. Brownie at FEMA, John Bolton at the UN...

First, from 2000-2006 all 3 branches were under Republican control. They gave America 9/11, Tora Bora and Bin Laden's escape, Iraq, Katrina, relaxed regulations on Wall Street and the Oil Conglomerates, under enforcement of OSHA, MSHA and the EPA and tax cuts for the 1%.

The fallout from those actions are still plaguing us today.

Republican leadership is murderous, disastrous and evil. It's all for the purpose of Destroying America, enslaving the Nation and enshrining a Plutocratic Feudalist State.

FEMA does not evacuate people. Local authorities do.

If you think it takes the federal government to load people onto buses and get them out of the path of a hurricane, then you you need help. But that explains liberalism...

  12. Paul Krugman,

So let me just take a moment to flag an issue others have been writing about: the weird Republican obsession with killing FEMA. Kevin Drum has the goods: they just keep doing it. George Bush the elder turned the agency into a dumping ground for hacks, with bad results; Clinton revived the agency; Bush the younger ruined it again; Obama revived it again; and Romney — with everyone still remembering Brownie and Katrina! — said that he wants to block-grant and privatize it. (And as far as I can tell, even TV news isn’t letting him Etch-A-Sketch the comment away).

There’s something pathological here. It’s really hard to think of a public service less likely to be suitable for privatization, and given the massive inequality of impacts by state, it really really isn’t block-grantable. Does the right somehow imagine that only Those People need disaster relief? Is the whole idea of helping people as opposed to hurting them just anathema?

It’s a bit of a mystery, calling more for psychological inquiry than policy analysis. But something is going on here.

  13. Hey silverfiddle, I really wish you were there to assist the victims of Hurricane Sandy, like your highly intelligent post about merely putting people on a bus. Such a simple solution that somehow escaped Governor Christie. Just one thing, if I can pick your genius brain for a moment, where does one procure buses large enough to fit houses and boardwalk businesses? Thanks!
