Fat Al Gore and President Obama are responsible for the Colorade Wildfires

And now in Colorado, President Obama has angered the Rain God with his improper Kenyan, Marxist Black Liberation Theology, Secret Muslin Roots!

Just like with the Gulf of Mexico Right-Wing liars are blaming the President for a disaster.

Either Michelle Malkin and R. Limpballs really do think President Obama is the magic N-word or they take solace in the fact conservatives are so stupid and vile they will believe any stupid propaganda they tell them.

Here's Malkin's take,
As Obama sightsees overhead in this key swing state and surrounds himself with first responders for campaign-ready photo-ops, his supporters on the ground are busy spewing excuses, attacks and death wishes on their political opponents.
These childish toxic morons who receive mounds of money and hours of airtime are the inheritors of the Raygun Tradition. That would be Ronnie Reagan who stated, "The nine most terrifying words in the english langauage are, 'I'm from the Government and I'm here to help.'"

The most stupefiying element is Malkin has a whole category called "envrio-nitwits" on her website. If fat Al Gore wasn't talking about Global Warming the heat and drought wouldn't have happened but since he did he caused those conditions!

Malkin's claims rest on this premise,
Ten years ago, the feds had a fleet of 44 firefighting planes. Today, the number is down to nine for the entire country.
"He wants to hire more government workers. He says we need more firemen... Did he not get the message of Wisconsin? It's time for us to cut back on government and help the American people." Oh darn, please ignore this because Mitt Romney said it...

However from the Denver Post comes this article; Officials disagee on ability of nation's old, thin air tanker fleet,
Heavy air tankers are not a panacea for fighting fires.

They don't extinguish blazes, but they can be used to strategically lay retardant on a fire line to suppress flames and slow the spread of a fire until ground crews arrive.

Tankers are most effective in the initial stages of fighting a wildland fire, able to keep small fires from growing large. Studies have shown that one or two tankers can be as effective as eight large helicopter tankers in the initial attack. In the past, a goal was to have tankers in strategic areas so that they could get to a newly reported fire within 20 to 30 minutes.

A 2009 report by the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Office of Inspector General estimated that 150 fires escaped initial attack in 2007 alone, (G_e_G note: When Obama was President!!!) costing the federal government up to $450 million more than it would have spent if the fires were stopped in their earliest stages.

It's impossible to know whether the High Park fire could have been stalled in its early stages on June 9 when the lightning-caused fire blew up.

First signs of the fire were called in to dispatchers about 6 a.m. A smaller single-engine air tanker, which can carry about 800 gallons of retardant, was over the fire by 9 a.m.
A heavy air tanker sent from Grand Junction was on the fire by noon, according to Steve Segin, spokesman for the Rocky Mountain Area Coordination Center. Windy, dry and hot conditions that day blew the fire out of control.

Officials say they are satisfied with the aerial resources attacking the fire, which include five heavy air tankers stationed at the Rocky Mountain Metropolitan Airport in Broomfield — two CV-580s from an agreement with the Canadian Interagency Forest Fire Centre and three P2Vs under contract through private companies.

The newest plane in the group is 51 years old. The oldest was built in 1953.
That last line would never be quoted by the likes of Michelle Malkin because that would indict Ronnie Raygun and George W(orst President Ever) Bush.

The sickening part of all this is the Republican Party has fought to destroy any Federal program to protect the environment because the Free Market does everything better. Because Fracking Corporations will be better stewards of the lands. Because Global Warming doesn't exist. Because Eric Cantor will not allow Government money for disaster sites until accompanying cuts in Medicaid are passed.

But, Republicans and conservatives miss no opportunity to be vile fiends willing to stoop too any level and willing to exploit any tragedy.

  1. The Reichwing should be thrilled that only 9 gov. owned planes are regularly in use to fight fires. Most of the planes being used are contractors, and those planes are of the same vintage. I heard the owner of a couple of them on NPR a few days ago saying he would like to buy a newer plane but the expense is so great and the contracts come only at random, no one schedules forest fires, he cannot buy more. Congress should buy some more. Or if we could get out of Afghaniland there would be more C130's the AF could TDY for fires.

  2. Oh, I strayed a little. My point is the GOP got what they wanted, a service almost eliminated until we have to use contractors. BUt the contractors don't have equipment either nor can justify it on ramdom business levels. Therefore, the federal government needs to buy them since this is another case of something for the common good of the nation.

  3. Of course, they are thrilled they get a two-fer. Destroy a government run operation and blame it the black guy.

  4. Actually, all of this shows why government is so ineffective.

Obama blew trillions on Chicago-style political patronage, but neglected things we really need. Government is a horrible allocator of resources.

And this wildfire fighting function is a direct responsibility of the federal government, since the fire started on federal land. Not only does Obama hate the red parts of Colorado (the whole state outside of liberal latte Aspen, People's Republic of Boulder, and Dependent Denver), his government took 48 hours to respond to a fire started on his property.

Yeah, government is the answer. So what was the question again?

The CREEP (Committee to Reelect the President) rolls on....

  5. What the powerful interests who are funding the destruction of government, the Koch Brothers, Sheldon The Prostitute Aldelson, Stephen Schwartzman, Leon Cooperman, Kenneth C. Griffin are trying to do is create in the minds of the poor and middle class the belief that government is a failure.

Afterwards, the 1% will then be able to have their hand picked stooges hide their use appartus of government, to be free to do what ever they desire and what they desire is to turn the Nation into a collection of Corporate Domains, wherein they are free to rule with an iron fist. The Koch Brothers want to be the Leopold II of America.

And the conservatives are aiding the evil Plutocrats in their desire to return us to Feudalist conglomeration of principalities.

"Whether it’s the EPA, the FDA, the FCC, the SEC, the CFTC, you name it, there is an acronym for a federal agency causing harm right now. We’re trying to pull that in." - Eric Cantor, Republicon Hit Man for the Plutocracy and Defender of the Transfer of Wealth.

  6. Yeah, it takes quite an expensive propaganda campaign to convince people that a morally, intellectually, and financially bankrupt government has failed...

  7. The Government doesn't fail those it represents it just fails to represent those who don't own it.

Sucks to be poor or struggling and have Republican Governors declare they won't let you get healthcare.

I wonder if Rick Scott or Scott Walker or Bobby Jindal pay their own way?

The Koch Brothers have funded a coordinated multi-leveled effort to convince the American people that global climate change is a hoax, Documents reveal Koch-funded group's plot to undermine climate science.

  8. Yeah, the Koch brothers did a great job bribing all those "dissenting" scientists...

And government does not control access to health care, it just distorts the market and masks price signals so that the market has become one of the most dysfunctional in our nation.

And there's nothing nefarious about all that Soros money and other lefty money...

    You guys are a hoot!
